The "Rellaquinnes" (rey-ah-keens) table was specially designed for BHouse Restaurant on Commercial Drive. This collection provides unique grain patterns and varied epoxy pours. The laminated wood base is coated with Broda Seal-hide from CBR (local coating). Sitting quite gently on top we see a sheet of round Mahogany plywood with a 3/8 roundover edge held in by lag bolts. In the cavities of the lag bolts we colour matched our resin to provide the connection between the base and the union. It's all in the details. It can be ordered in varied sizes and customized to your needs. This Live Edge River table was created from two bookmatched slabs of English Walnut which is 20% stronger than Black Walnut! They feature areas of curly figure and a naturally iridescent grain as is typical of English Walnut. The resin is a 2-stage pour with Black Onyx metallic reson on the bottom half and clear on top to give the table a lot of depth. The Black resin is about 70% transparent, so at night or in low light, the resin looks black/opaque. During the day or under bright lighting the resin will look semi-transparent with smokey black metallic clouds. Two tables in one! Some people see eyes and a face. Some see two hands cupping black water.

This Large single slab live edge figured Maple table is full of shimmering curly and other figures that dance in the light. It also has a large portion covered in Spalting. You could look at this table every day and every day notice a new detail or feature. We carved faux live edge into resin on the side of the table. It's finished with a professional hardwax oil to bring out it's natural lustre and coated with a ceramic coating for scratch/water protection. These tables are built to last forever as they can be infinitely refinished. They are heirloom pieces. It is truly one of a kind.
