Some of y'all REAAALLLLLY mischaracterize Jason.

He isn't a sad little gay boy who's misunderstood and nice. He's a kid with trauma who shows out. I feel bad for him, but he isn't a little angel.

I feel like the double standard is used with him and wildernessa. People say she's "mean" and "annoying" but she's similar to Jason in certain ways. (Craig "rival", know it all, comes off kinda annoying, well written) But they're also different.

In all honestly the only mischaracterization I see for Jason is people saying he's a 'bully' or an irredeemable monster. The guy dammed up a creek and sprayed kids with a water gun not kick a puppy to the middle of the street.

I do agree, him and Vanessa do have some similarities, but they are pretty different from each other. I do feel like there's a sort of double standard of some kind with the two, I'm just confused how the crew made Craig immediately forgave Vanessa but made Craig continue hating Jason for the sake of it.

That sounds exactly like Vanessa. Think about it. She's way more comfortable around animals than people. Just like how Vanessa likes animals more than people due to her being bullied and school and cause no one let her play the victim card when she mauled another kid. (Then again, that's one side of the story, and we have nothing we're just expected to know the full story and feel bad for her)

What if Jasagine and Vanessa are actually step siblings and Vanessa is neglected by her mom in favor of Jason's step mom's chihuahuas and Jason's dad.

Like mother like daughter, I guess.

its so weird to me personally that some people think that it doesnt make sense for craig to be nice to wildernessa but still hate jason (up until scout guest), but to me the worst thing wildernessa has done is say that craig doesnt know shit about nature vs jason whos basically like "ok tony now hit the second tower" for the majority of his screentime, and people wonder why craig doesnt trust him most of the time huh

A teenaged Kelsey is hanging out with;Stacks, Wildernessa, Handlebarb and Toni and they are bonding with Toni scout recruits regarding nature.

I'll be honest, this is way too long for a drabble, but I couldn't help myself! Might not post it anywhere else because it breaks the 100 words exactly rule, but it was too fun to trim down! Thanks for the request!

"Okay, scouts, these are today's guests," Toni said, gesturing to the four friends he'd brought to their scout meeting.

Kelsey, Handlebarb, and Stacks waved, but Vanessa spoke up.  "Good afternoon, Forest Scouts," she told the group, "Today, we'll be discussing nature, and how to coexist with it.  As a Forest Scout, you have vowed to protect the environment."

Toni nodded his approval, and Kelsey gave her an encouraging thumbs up.

"That means doing whatever it takes to preserve nature," Vanessa continued with a new fierceness, "Would you be willing to give up everything to protect the Earth?  Would you live in the woods to look after the wildlife-!"

"Woah, chill, 'Nessa," Stacks cut in, "You're scaring them."

"Besides, we're here to help them get badges," Handlebarb reminded her, fidgeting with a couple cycling badges in their hands.

Vanessa looked over the sea of children in front of the five of them.  They all looked anxious.  "Ah," she peeped, "Sorry."

MAHOU SHOUJO COTC AU

This is a small introduction post to my COTC AU, a Magical girl one.

The story is simple, four characters from the show as Magical girls.

In this AU they're are Sixteen year old, and i wanna inspire myself in dark topics. And you ask me: why is Sparkle Cadet and Wildernessa with this names? Simple, cuz they don't have canon names, so i decided to put it my own. (Maybe i'll make a bigger intoduction later with more information, but for now you guys will have this post and a small Sketch)

Older!Cotc AU Info

Hello!! I wanted to make a post with all my hcs/ideas of both the older creek kids and next generation creek kids. These are all headcanons of course!! 💝😊💝 This post follows the Stump Gang & main next Gen Kids.

Craig & Omar:

Before they got together, they used to date other people.

For Craig (from middle school to high school): Vanessa, Eileen, Canon Ball, & Dianne.

For Omar (MS to HS): Jp & Toman.

There was a 2-3 year gap where Omar & Craig hadn’t seen each other due to Omar leaving to college outside of Herkleton.

During a college break, Omar returned to Herkleton where the two reconnected. Since then they've been inseparable.

Craig (28) works as a carpenter contractor. Omar (30) works from home as a welder.

Craig still has a passion for art and still creates projects on the side (both personal and professional work).

They have one child as of right now named Sonya (3). Isabella/Stack’s is her surrogate mother.

Since Omar stays at home the most, Sonya favors him more over Craig (rip Craig 😔😂)

These two act like carbon copies of Craig’s parents with how openly goofy and affectionate they are to one another & to Sonya.

They own 1 cat and 1 big St. Bernard.

Kelsey & Isabella:

These two are the definition of childhood sweethearts. They’ve had a few fights sure but never broken up or took breaks from each other.

Kelsey (27) is the school coach at Herkleton High School. Isabella (27) works at the Library.

Even with their separate jobs, they still find time to write together and brainstorm on new story ideas. They still plan on releasing a novel together ❤️

When Craig & Omar were looking for a surrogate, Kelsey had offered to be it for them. But after they told her what she could and couldn’t do for 9 months she backed out. (Isabella happily volunteered afterwards)

They have 2 adopted kids together: Jamie (9) & Laura (10).

As a family they like to go to the gym or park together to exercise and bond. Kelsey & Jamie work out more for muscle/strength where as Isabella & Laura exercise for fun.

Aside from exercising, they like to read books together! Though it’s harder for Jamie to join in at first (he’s dyslexic). With some help & patience he’ll get there tho 💪🏽🌟🌟

As adults and parents they still have that fire & ice attitude!! Kelsey being very energetic & outspoken for her family while being warm & welcoming to them/others. Isabella being calm & understanding of her families needs while being strong & assertive when she needs to set someone straight or be a shoulder to lean on.

They own 3 birds & 1 bearded dragon.

Jp & Maney:

During the first year of high school they actually took a break from each other. Jp had dated Omar shortly while Maney dating someone else. During the end of Junior year they reconnected with each other.

Jp (29) works as a mechanic with the Junklord. Maney (29) works at a horse sanctuary & therapy organization called “Hugs for Horses”.

Despite Laura’s words of caution, Jp & Maney end up having a baby together sooner than expected.

When Marcello was born, he had water in his lungs. He had to stay in an incubator for 3 days. When MJ learned about this, he was 100% convinced he was part fish.

Out of all the Stump kids, Jp has kept the most in touch with kids from the creek. If there was as ever a kid from the creek someone wanted to contact, Jp was the guy to go to!

Despite being older & wiser now, Jp still ends up with a broken bone or two every once in a while. Maney wishes he’d be more careful whereas MJ thinks he’s invincible.

Maney still keeps close contact with Kelsey. You’ll often catch her on the phone with Kels planning their hikes together.

As parents they’re both very laid back. MJ doesn’t cause them much of a hassle so they don’t feel the need to be stern with him.

The Mercers don’t own any pets but do take care of the stray cats & dogs that live in their neighborhood (they feed them, make sure they’re not hurt, and are spayed/neutered.

MJ, Nancy, & Sonya

MJ (8) & Nancy (8) don’t have a designated hang out spot. They text each other on where to meet before they go and explore.

Their adventures focus less on exploring the creek and more on how much they can do that day.

MJ has a bucket list of all the things he’d want to do at the creek. When the list starts to run short, he either makes up more or ask other creek kids what to do.

Nancy has a very macabre sense of humor & vibe. She’s fascinated with the concept of life & death (especially with death).

Nancy lives with her grandmother & her older brother.

When Nancy grows up she’d like to be a mortician. When MJ grows up he’d like to be able to touch the top of the fridge.

Nancy always carries her Lil Oopsie Doll named Syd with her where ever she goes. No one is allowed to hold, let alone touch, Syd. MJ is the only acceptation.

If the weathers ever terrible at the creek, these two always run to The Williams house and make themselves at home. (MJ knocks, Nancy gets in through the back.)

Craig & Omar are used to MJ’s visits, they’re not used to Nancy’s. She has the tendency to sneak up behind them and every time it scares the living daylight out of them.

Sonya absolutely adores Nancy and is always happy when the two older kids visit her home.

Sonya’s not ready for the creek yet but has tried to sneak off into it. The farthest she’s explored to was her backyard before getting scared and running back inside. That’s all I have to share for now!! My apologies for any typos & grammatical errors 😵

Got the Octopath Traveler artbook but got no scanner. I'll leave someone else to figure out a pdf: In the meantime, here's a few notes I made for my roleplay group. I'm sure there's more, this was just the most relevant stuff to us it felt.

Overall:

Designs needed to be down to earth compared to other titles to fit with game themes

Care was given to how other background characters of their classes might look, but characters still needed to stand out a little.

It was very very important that the character's personality shone through in all the character job sprites, thus the custom design works for each.

The hearth seems emphasized in all the home building concepts. They're not all build for the same utilisation but they're all reflected pretty centrally. Take note.

Tomes and stories are common imagery in concepts.

There's actually a leaf in the currency symbol!

Belts and cords were used on time-inappropriate designs to make them seem more medieval (mentioned with the obsidians designs). This trick persisted into CotC

Japanese fans sent valentines chocolates to the characters? All who received are depicted in the valentines sprite spread.

Modern stage illustration took specific care to depict their personalities

Characters

Primrose:

Her visuals are meant to carry a sense of both her allure and sadness

Older-sister type inspired animations

The white dress in the end card symbolizes freedom from her burdens, reflecting a "more poignant conclusion" than the other travelers.

Olberic:

"image of a burly, diligent father figure from the Showa era"

His forehead scar also grazes his ear. Armor from the king and sword design resembles his straightforward swordplay.

"UP THE VIRILITY"

Strong and stoic nature kept in mind for animations (radiates some majesty, but not mentioned by that word)

Sprite designer was impressed by his Japanese VA and it stuck with him

Expression slightly more "gung-ho" than usual, in his ending picture sparring with Phillip.

His "Berg" persona is listed among the shepherd designs. "He makes a living bringing wool and ewe milk (sometimes processed) down from the mountain, selling them or exchanging them for goods"

Has "adjusted to life among the mountainfolk" (NOT reflective of his prior lifestyle?)

Olberic and Erhardt are notably depicted together, fighting in the valentines art.

Therion could steal apples from his basket because he lowers his guard around comrades!

Modern Olberic seems to lean towards 80's rock aesthetics (noted by artist) (He's depicted as unusually smug every time he's holding a guitar.)

He is like a full head taller than everyone else in all the group art

Alfyn:

Start image based on "adolescent youth coming home from school activities with the sun in his back. End illustration depicts him "as adult Alfyn" working with Zeph and Nina. Growing up theme implied.

Hair "like grass billowing in the wind"

Axe is a daily life tool first, weapon second. He carries it on his best, around his back, under his vest.

"The type of guy you'd see anywhere, but leaving an impression with a passionate heart."

Quick to "jump the gun", good natured and gung-ho, sometimes gets him and others in trouble.

Apothecary guild sends you a vest and bag once you're accepted. They're uniform. Also implying Alfyn and Zeph swapped Uniform pieces. Vanessa notably only wears a bag, not a vest.

Alfyn got his name from a type of dog (The one on Alfyn's head)

Miguel was originally laughing at crying Alfyn in the valentines art.

Therion:

Isn't shy to steal from friends and teammates

Barely emotes. "Cool handsome dude."

Bemused countdown smirk was made to show a hidden side of Therion that didn't get much highlight in the games.

Yeah no the apple is everywhere in his art. Not just once or twice. Even his crossover with H'aanit have an apple with an arrow balanced on his head. Seems central symbolism.

Therion is purposefully turned away in the depiction of them travelling as friends.

"Quick to draw but whiffs almost every strike"

H'aanit:

Strong and beautiful, but calm core aesthetic. At one with nature. "Natural stand that don't require movements come naturally to her."

No metal on her whatsoever. All "metallic" bits are horn and bone to avoid shine when hunting.

hair is canonically pink-golden.

She is telling her stories to Z'aanta in her ending credits. "They've got plenty to talk about"

Made Linde's tail-decoration herself and put it on her as a child. Made the decorations for Hägen too cause he seemed envious.

Tiny child H'aanit depicted with twin braids and holding a kitten Linde. Met early in life.

Cyrus:

Eyes bright and always seem to gaze off "at some dazzling scenery".

Robe is NOT worn correctly. Uniform robe is more robe-like, Cyrus wears it like a coat.

Split bangs to avoid him looking too young.

"The type of man who looks good while sitting"

Does not pay attention to where he's going. Dense to "ways of the world" (valentines drawing, did not recognize white day.) Odette laughing at him finished the piece satisfyingly according to artist.

Highly expressive but not boisterous.

Dozed over after work in his ending credit. It's definitely meant to be night, showing his continued long working hours

He plays the piano? The art depicting the group taking a load off apparently started with him playing, and everyone else deciding to relax following.

Tressa:

Core concept is her lively, cheerful energy and eloquence.

The folded blanket on her rucksack is her pop-up store blanket.

Closely discerns wares with a serious face.

Different serious face from promotional art, which is "seldom seem"

All areas surrounding her character are designed to be whimsical and adventurous.

Definitely meant to be 18, but short.

Ending credit shows "tangible growth" and her parents are meant to reflect fondness as she listens to her stories. "She won't run out of them soon"

Ophilia:

"Like a wildflower blooming valiantly from the snow-covered ground" "A proverbial guiding star - a shepherd to guide the way" "The image of a sun here suits Philia to a T."

Face and hair edited from early concept to reflect "intelligence and decisive will" to avoid airhead stereotype.

Shares the same strength in her eyes as Primrose

Depicted to thoughtfully share and lead people

turquoise colour differentiates aelfric flame from normal fire. Colour reflected in Ophilia's design for a "pop"

Dress is only not designed to be warmer 'cause it stood out like a sore thumb in warm areas

"Tidy and trim appearance, combined with dedication to her calling."

Receding winter and blooming flowers in their special place is symbolism for Ophilia and Lianna's bright future in their ending card.

Erhardt:

His design was requested ASAP so details didn't get to be brushed up on. (Analyze less literally than others)

Composed stance stands out showing his calm demeanor (Seems contested in early concepts? They wanted him imposing then, but it must've grown on them). Stance allows for MOVEMENT

Just fun, I have been considering who would voice each one of the OCs on Miraculous: The Next Spots!

It definetely will change, though, cause... I am not sure about any of this yet.

Henri Dupain-Cheng: Joshua Colley (he plays Hook in descendants 4, and he has covered "She used to be Mine" in youtube), I also considered Jeremy Jordan, but he is Lime's voice Claim on the Hope Hunters AU. Maybe Yuri Lowenthal or Hudson Thames could work, but I prefer Joshua for the moment.

Harmony Couffaine: Look, originally I said she would be voiced by the same person as Sublime, but... I really want to say Dove Cameron. Let her have Dove Cameron, please.

Clover Lee: This one is a bit harder... I considered Dana Davis (VA of Kit from CotC), Keke Palmer (she voiced Aisha on Winx Club) and China Anne McClain (she is Uma from Descendants). Due to reasons of possibly having musical chapters in the future, I try to search for voice actors that can sing.

Camille DuParc: Tara Strong (the voice of Twilight Sparkle and many others) or Kylie Cantral (Red Descendants Rise of Red).

Vanessa Fathom: Renee Rapp. 100%. It's perfect for her!

Fabien Cabello: I think Zeno Robinso (Hunter from the Owl House) would do a good job. He would just have to make his voice sound more creepy.

Bastien Pulateur: Andrew Kishino (he voiced Kevin on Steven Universe).

The movie is F*******G INCREDIBLE. I grew up the 2000s and this film brought me back to films like K.N.D the movie:Operation Zero or Teen Titans Trouble In Tokyo or Ben 10 Secret Of The Omnitrix.

I could feel my 10 year old self jumping for joy just by watching this film because of the nostalgia it brought me. So glad it got made. If another movie about the COTC Franchise could be made what would the plot be about?

Why headcanon Wildernessa as Comphet? Also what does Comphet mean.

I hc her as comphet mainly for fun. And I like headcanoning that Vanessa "had feelings" for Craig so quickly because she thought she did. After years of being bullied, I imagined when Craig showed actual kindness to her she thought it was butterflies she was feeling when in reality it was the happiness to finally have a friend.

It's also a really good idea for me to draw them hanging out so i might do that in the future! Answering why she isn't with Craig in my AU though is because he is shipped with way too many people in this fandom and i didn't want anyone to hate my opinions but i also felt like it was a better idea because even though Craig has no kids in the AU because of this he is like a father figure to his niece and nephew (aka Alice and Simon) because they both go through hard situations throughout the fic and he is like a dad to them!

Who would you imagine wearing a dress, suit, or something androgynous amongst Kelsey/Isabella/Vanessa?

Example they go on a fancy date, what kind of clothes would they wear?

I'd say Stacks wears a dress, Vanessa could go either way, and Kelsey would prefer to wear a suit. Didn't put too much thought into this one, just working off of vibes.
