Sek is an elementary school teacher who has a mixed-species classroom. He has three children under his care - one biological daughter and two half-Klingon wards whom he considers his daughters. He is married to a woman named T'Nia, his betrothed.
Sek is a busybody and prone to being judgemental. However, he does care deeply for other people - especially children, and is never intentionally mean. His favored sibling is Varith because he's the only one who reliably listens to him. He and Elieth bicker a lot.
Elieth is a politician who is concerned primarily with his personal goal of changing Vulcan's image in the eyes of the wider universe. He 'loves' Vulcan and he wants to showcase its diversity to everyone.
He is married to a Betazoid socialite named Ione Kitain and they are often in the tabloids due to her stunts. They have a podcast together. Elieth's personality is opinionated, stubborn, and free-thinking. He often clashes with his more traditional older brother and father.
Asil studied the kolinahr but quit right before going through the final ritual. She is now an independent detective who focuses especially on cases given to her by women. She is married to a Ferengi sex worker but has hundreds of admirers across the galaxy.
She has no bias towards or against any member of her family thanks to her kolinahr studies. The reason she quit was that she didn't want to become a stranger to them.
Asil is soft spoken but her language is flowery and she is flirtatious in the way a fairytale prince might be. Gallant, chivalrous and mysterious.
Varith is a Starfleet science ensign. He has chronic pain, a dog, and an attitude. He joined Starfleet instead of the Vulcan alternative in an attempt to understand his father more.
His personality is sarcastic, curious, and somewhat grouchy. He is a fan of anime and has a figurine collection.]

Sek is a member of an orchestra and a private tutor. He has one daughter with another child on the way and is often extremely busy as a result. He often feels pressure to be 'perfect' and holds people to standards which are too high. He gets along very well with his mother and often plays her songs which Tuvok once did.
He gets along very well with all of his siblings who view him as a reliable and steady presence in their lives. His personality is responsible, calm and a bit of a nag.
Varith is a scientist and a member of the Vulcan Expeditionary Group. His betrothed is also in the group and they serve aboard the same ship but they are not yet married, to everyone's confusion.
His personality is dedicated, straightforward and idealistic. He is a person who lives by his morals and dislikes liars. Wants to honor his parents. Very close with all his siblings whom he views as good people.
Elieth is a lawyer who specializes in domestic disputes. He is married to a Vulcan woman (his betrothed) but is currently having an affair with a betazoid socialite, Ione Kitain. His sister Asil is the only one who knows of this and he doesn't like speaking to her.
Elieth's personality is extravagant, sly and calculating. He enjoys leading a quiet life where he wants for nothing which is a reason he doesn't want to become publically involved with Ione. Another is that he doesn't want to disappoint his mother, who views him as a rehabilitated troublemaker.
Asil is a priest who completed her kolinahr training. She was already a priest but she completed her kolinahr training after her father's disappeared in order to deal with the crushing sorrow it left her with.
Her personality is logical and serene. She truly experiences no emotion so she has little reaction to the world around her. Her life is dedicated to the teaching of others and maintaining her equilibrium.]

“There are fairies of the air, of water and thunder. Mistresses of stone and sand. Spark fairies, dust fairies and everything in between. There are fairies in cities, as well. I swear you have run into one as well. When wind drifts leaves in the corner of a street. When wood creaks in the corners of an old house. Or when an object falls from the shelf without you touching it. Ghosts are different. Restless spirits, that have been stuck in this world against their will. Due to a violent death, for instance. Ghosts are always a malevolent force. They wish to hurt people, for they feed on fear. Finally, ghosts cannot affect the material world. That is how I knew Varith was not assaulted by one.”
New chapter of my DnD-based original story, Faceless, is now up on Ao3! In this chapter, the companions enter the manor and run into unexpected threats. Sigrid's patience with Nevis grows thin.
Read it here! (rated M for future chapters, current rating T). The moodboard here features the fourth companion of the party, the dwarven girl Freya.

Vincent's problem.
This is a split off of the DarkAU!, and it's an alternate ending to the original way that the universe is. In the original, Vincent does not do these things, and his family finds almost no reason to hate him. Thank, you, enjoy!
He didn’t mean to. They always came back, yeah, but they were always injured, and always had to be healed, which depleted their only resources and he was made a huge problem trying to help everyone.
So when he jumped in front of the arrow aiming towards Melany, he knew he was screwed. Screwed because without him, they’d be out numbered, and they wouldn’t have a healer on hand. Screwed because he was going to have to jump through hoops to even get Melany to stop looking at him with a settled wariness in her eyes. Screwed because Melany wouldn’t respect him anymore. Screwed because his family was disappointed in him, and it was all his fault.
They finished the bandits off quickly, and had to head home immediately. Because of him. Again.
When they all finally got home and the arrow was removed, Vincent immediately hydrated himself, before getting to healing everyone’s wounds.
‘Selfish. Putting yourself above others? Just like your mother, Vincent….’ The small voice was there. The one that he gave into every time he went out as the “Owl”, and the one that drove him to be fierce in the first place.
He knew he was screwed when, after all was said and done, Melany insulted him and it saw it as the final straw on his mentality, attacking him with everything it had.
"You can't keep doing this! You try to protect our family, I get it, but you're not doing a good job of it!" Melany yelled at him. Thing is, Melany never yells. I took it as a verbal insult, and tried to form an apology, but half way through my rambling, she cut me off again, “Stop, I don’t want to hear it from someone who’s killed just because…” As she started to walk away from me.
It fought harder. I gave up trying to fight it, and it took over for me.
One of the many mistakes that lead to the next few statements going too far.
“What, and you think you’re better, petty thief? Oh, let’s go over some examples of you being just as bad as me, shall we?” I was cut off by Xoverne running in and shouting at me, probably defending Melany, but I heard nothing. “Xoverne, stop. You are no better, assassin.” I hated it. The voice, the tone, body language, everything that I was portraying right now. All the voice’s fault, right?
“Vincent, what is the meaning of this?” Varith walked in with Laine following close behind. They probably came because of the shouting. Then Varith demanded of me this, “Why is Xoverne growling and Melany looks ready to kill? Vincent, answer me.”
“I know you, Varith, and somewhere, you knew this was gonna happen, but you let it fester, so don’t even try to deny that you’re guilty” The words flew from my mouth, and I hated myself instantly. I would have never said those words to any of them, let alone the only man I was loved by.
“Vincent, this isn’t you. Stop it now.” Varith’s eyes hardened at me, reverting back to his cold, piercing gaze of when we still hated each other. I wanted it to stop.
‘Stop, please! I’m begging you!’ I pleaded with the voice, knowing it was going to forever damage the relationships I had as of right now.
‘Only when the mighty have fallen, do they beg’ It answered me back, and I was very suddenly and completely void of any other emotion but fear.
“Oh? And what do you know of me? I pretend so that you all will care, and then I have the potential to order you around. It’s simply an act to get you all under my thumb of control….” ‘I’ started chuckling as ‘I’ surveyed the shocked silent faces of the room. Only one caught my eye, and made my face falter, shedding a tear at Melany’s hardened and horrified expression. ‘I’ cleaned it off my face, and grinned maniacally.
“Vincent! What the hell are you doing?” Varith yelled at me once more, making ‘me’ turn towards him, and charge.
I couldn’t remember anything after that.
I woke up a day later, pinned to the couch by a heavy duvet and a watching Laine’s glare. I noticed that I had none of my original clothes on, instead a loose fitting outfit that I didn’t recognize.
I noticed he had a black eye, and a few bruises.
“Laine? Wha-”
“What happened? You fought everyone, Owl. You nearly slit Varith’s throat, in the process. You managed to knock Xoverne out before kicking Melany and punching me, which sent me into Melany, and made a potion explode on the both of us. We’re all still in healing. So, as soon as you can walk, you leave.” Laine cut me off, and brutally layed out the truth.
“I understand” It was all I said, before he got up and walked out, a fierce anger swirling about him.
I sat there, feeling helpless as to why it decided to do any of these things. Things were just getting normal, and I had to go screw it up.
‘It’s all my fault. No one else’s. No one’s to blame but me, and the voice was right. I should have ended it when I was nine, and had a clear chance at death….’ Were my thoughts as I mechanically went to the front door, and left.
I left Ukani, and whatever else I didn’t have on me in the house. It seems they’ll have to get rid of it themselves.
‘Selfish. What gives you the right to make them do something after admitting that you were trying to control all of them?’ It responded to me as I was running away from our-.... their house.
‘They’ll want to be absolutely rid of me, so they can burn whatever I left, and sell Ukani for money. It doesn’t matter, as long as they aren’t bothered by me anymore.’
I ran for as long as possible, and walked until I collapsed. I dehydrated myself on purpose, trying to make it worse, as no one was going to save me.
Eventually, I collapsed onto the dirt right outside of my old home, which was burnt and destroyed. I didn’t care, as it represented how much I had screwed up.
My last thoughts were of how I pictured such a happy life with all of them.
My last breath was spent on asking for forgiveness from them, even in the after life.

Livro: O segredo no monte, de Renné Lotoski
Sinopse:
