The look on Yuri's face changed momentarily. Still holding up the limp form of the former president, he quickly looked around.
They were alone.
He knew he had to act fast. There was not much time for hesitation, the bathroom would be full of people in no time, but still, he casted a glance at the face on the man in his arms.
Had it not been for blood gushing from his nose, with his head lolled back, mouth slightly open, Vasily Petrovych would have looked almost peacefully asleep.
Yuri winced involuntarily. The man was pale; too pale. Dark circles under his eyes were all the more pronounced against his skin. Blood mixed with water was running down his chest, forming a stark puddle at their feet.
Time was running out fast.
Yuri blinked and swallowed hard. It was time to act.
He turned Goloborodko around so that his back was pressed against him. Pulling him close with one arm, he took a few steps back and reached for the towel, still hanging from the hook.
He tilted his head, looking down past Vasily's damp mop of hair, and tried clumsily to wrap the fabric around his hips.
The former prime minister cursed under his breath. It was worth it, he reminded himself. It was necessary. It was fair. Giving him a broken nose and mild concussion was supposed to set things even between them.
It was to save his life, damn it. He would take it over anything.
Dull pain in his head was beginning to spread along his temples. He needed to think straight.
Breathing sharp through his nose, he picked still unconscious Vasily Petrovych up in his arms, his slim form an unfamiliar weight, and adjusted his grip.
"Maybe I am too old for this", he muttered, heading out of the shabby bathroom.
normally I would distract myself from the bad things in the world by thinking about the current blorbo from my shows but unfortunately my brain has picked Vasily Petrovych Goloborodko for this position which just... does not help.
Servant of the People is a Ukrainian political satire comedy television series created and produced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who stars as Vasily Petrovych Goloborodko, a high-school history teacher in his thirties who is unexpectedly elected President of Ukraine after a viral video filmed by one of his students shows him making a profane rant against government corruption in his country. ● Sometimes you will find News about 🇷🇺 and 🇺🇦 here. Don´t mixed that with taking sides. Also I am not Russophobic. So you will see stuff from Russia here. Deal with it 🖕
● I´m a fan of Volodymyr Zelensky as an actor. So you will see stuff from his shows/movies.
● I´m not part of the "West" who wants a war or follows what the West propaganda says.
President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia’s claims that it is prepared to resume negotiations with Ukraine do not correspond to reality because Russia is deploying reserve troops in southern Ukraine.
"They [Russia - ed.] are activating various emissaries with claims that the terrorist state supposedly wants negotiations…If Russia really wanted an end to the war, it would not be accumulating reserves in the south of Ukraine right now or creating mass graves for murdered innocent people on Ukrainian territory. In general, it is just disgusting to see former leaders of powerful states with European values working for Russia, which is fighting against these values.
We need to fight, we need to beat the terrorists on our land, we need to spread information about Ukrainian interests and achieve success and victories for Ukraine."

Ukraine asked UNESCO and other Western partners to stop any cooperation with Russian museums. That’s because of stealing museum collections from occupied parts of Ukraine. Also, “because they are using this narrative of the so-called great Russian culture as a weapon..,” Ukraine’s Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko said on TV air.
“They [the Russians] start or plan to evacuate Ukrainian museum items, we record it as another step of the occupation authorities regarding objects that are part of the Ukrainian cultural heritage, the world cultural heritage. This is a fact of a war crime. We know that during the occupation of Crimea, illegal actions were committed against UNESCO objects in Bakhchysarai and Khersones, and all this, accordingly, should be reflected in reparations from the Russians. But it is also important for us to involve international organizations to prevent further illegal traffic of valuable museum collections,” the Minister of Culture said.
