Right. Sounds like cognitive dissonance, non-dualistic Hinduism ("Atman is Brahman"), or Shimmer ("it's a floor wax AND a dessert topping.")
Albert Einstein suggested that light is not only a wave but is also a stream of particles.
But the damn duo would never pose for photos. Until now.
Now, using electrons to image light, scientists at EPFL have succeeded in capturing the first-ever photo of this dual behavior of light behaving both as a wave and as a particle.

tvadeveśa śāstrāṇi caitāni bhūmno babhūvustvadekāśrayāṇyādikalpe | ramāsevyapādāmbujaṃ śāstrayoniṃ tamādyaṃ bhavantaṃ bhaje vāsudevam || 4 ||
Śaṅkara said:
3. O Lord! The Three Vedas, Sāṅkhya, Vedānta, Yoga, Purāṇa, Pāñcarātra as well as Dharmaśāstra—all these devoutly sing in various ways the supreme majestic glory of yours alone.
4. In the first Kalpa (Ādi-Kalpa), it is from you, the great one, alone that these Śāstras were born and they have you as their only resort, O Sovereign Lord. I betake myself to you and worship you, the Primordial One whose lotus-feet are served by Ramā, who are the source of the origin of Śāstras.

This is a small portion of Chapter 15 of Vaasudeva Mahatmya from Skanda Purana. The essence of these verses is to talk of how Vishnu is every little and every big thing in this Universe.
There is a constant struggle about whether the Puranas are right or not, through things I have read, that contradict with what I have learned as a child, which clash with some beliefs even- and it is actually very true that they have been interpolated heavily, over the years.
That is why, the first basis of reference and understanding comes from Itihaasa- that which has happened. There are two Itihaasas or epics in Sanatana Dharma, Valmiki Ramayana and Mahabharata. Of course, Harivamsa is included in this list, as it is a khila of the Mahabharata itself.
It sounds a bit crazy when I speak of how Itihaasas come first and yet I posted something from a Purana, does it not? Well, the reason for it is to remind people that Shastras originated from the ParaBrahman- be they Vedas, Upanishads, Itihaasas, Puranas and various other works. And every form of ParaBrahman are the origin of such, based on how one's own Ishta/Aaradhya.
Many months ago, I had asked if I should post something on Sanatana, and finally, I got the time to start. As always, I wondered where to start, and this specific tab was open. Hari, as always, gave me an indication.
I will be much more consistent with posting henceforth, so expect interpretations, rants, aesthetics, story snippets and so on to be shared.

*"If you don't understand Kṛṣṇa, then your reading of so-called Vedas and Vedāntas and Upaniṣads, they are useless waste of time. So here Kuntī is directly saying that 'My dear Kṛṣṇa, You are ādyaṁ puruṣam, the original person. And īśvaram. You are not ordinary person. You are the supreme controller' (SB 1.8.18). That is understanding of Kṛṣṇa. Īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ (Bs. 5.1). Everyone is controller, but the supreme controller is Kṛṣṇa. So although this material world is condemned—duḥkhālayam aśāśvatam (BG 8.15), Kṛṣṇa says—it is also Kṛṣṇa's kingdom, because everything belongs to God, Kṛṣṇa. So this condemned place is created for suffering of the condemned persons. Who are condemned? Those who have forgotten Kṛṣṇa and wants to become happy independently, they are all condemned demons. श्रीमद्‌ भगवद्‌गीता यथारूप 2.45 https://srimadbhagavadgita.in/2/45 त्रैगुण्यविषया वेदा निस्त्रैगुण्यो भवार्जुन । निर्द्वन्द्वो नित्यसत्त्वस्थो निर्योगक्षेम आत्मवान् ॥ २.४५ ॥ TRANSLATION वेदों में मुख्यतया प्रकृति के तीनों गुणों का वर्णन हुआ है । हे अर्जुन! इन तीनों गुणों से ऊपर उठो । समस्त द्वैतों और लाभ तथा सुरक्षा की सारी चिन्ताओं से मुक्त होकर आत्म-परायण बनो । PURPORT सारे भौतिक कार्यों में प्रकृति के तीनों गुणों की क्रियाएँ तथा प्रतिक्रियाएँ निहित होती हैं । इनका उद्देश्य कर्म-फल होता है जो भौतिक जगत् में बन्धन का कारण है । वेदों में मुख्यतया सकाम कर्मों का वर्णन है जिससे सामान्य जन क्रमशः इन्द्रियतृप्ति के क्षेत्र से उठकर अध्यात्मिक धरातल तक पहुँच सकें । कृष्ण अपने शिष्य तथा मित्र के रूप में अर्जुन को सलाह देते हैं कि वह वेदान्त दर्शन के अध्यात्मिक पद तक ऊपर उठे जिसका प्रारम्भ ब्रह्म-जिज्ञासा अथवा परम अध्यात्मिकता पद पर प्रश्नों से होता है । इस भौतिक जगत् के सारे प्राणी अपने अस्तित्व के लिए कठिन संघर्ष करते रहते हैं । उनके लिए भगवान् ने इस भौतिक जगत् की सृष्टि करने के पश्चात् वैदिक ज्ञान प्रदान किया जो जीवन-यापन तथा भवबन्धन से छूटने का उपदेश देता है । जब इन्द्रियतृप्ति के कार्य यथा कर्मकाण्ड समाप्त हो जाते हैं तो उपनिषदों के रूप में भगवत् साक्षात्कार का अवसर प्रदान किया जाता है । ये उपनिषद् विभिन्न वेदों के अंश हैं उसी प्रकार जैसे भगवद्गीता पंचम वेद महाभारत का एक अंग है । उपनिषदों से अध्यात्मिक जीवन का शुभारम्भ होता है । जब तक भौतिक शरीर का अस्तित्व है तब तक भौतिक गुणों की क्रियाएँ-प्रतिक्रियाएँ होती रहती हैं । मनुष्य को चाहिए कि सुख-दुख या शीत-ग्रीष्म जैसी द्वैतताओं को सहन करना सीखे और इस प्रकार हानि तथा लाभ की चिन्ता से मुक्त हो जाय । जब मनुष्य कृष्ण की इच्छा पर पूर्णतया आश्रित रहता है तो यह दिव्य अवस्था प्राप्त होती है । ----- Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is 2.45 trai-guṇya-viṣayā vedā nistrai-guṇyo bhavārjuna nirdvandvo nitya-sattva-stho niryoga-kṣema ātmavān TRANSLATION The Vedas deal mainly with the subject of the three modes of material nature. PURPORT All material activities involve actions and reactions in the three modes of material nature. They are meant for fruitive results, which cause bondage in the material world. The Vedas deal mostly with fruitive activities to gradually elevate the general public from the field of sense gratification to a position on the transcendental plane. Arjuna, as a student and friend of Lord Kṛṣṇa, is advised to raise himself to the transcendental position of Vedānta philosophy where, in the beginning, there is brahma-jijñāsā, or questions on the supreme transcendence. All the living entities who are in the material world are struggling very hard for existence. For them the Lord, after creation of the material world, gave the Vedic wisdom advising how to live and get rid of the material entanglement. When the activities for sense gratification, namely the karma-kāṇḍa chapter, are finished, then the chance for spiritual realization is offered in the form of the Upaniṣads, which are part of different Vedas, as the Bhagavad-gītā is a part of the fifth Veda, namely the Mahābhārata. The Upaniṣads mark the beginning of transcendental life. As long as the material body exists, there are actions and reactions in the material modes. One has to learn tolerance in the face of dualities such as happiness and distress, or cold and warmth, and by tolerating such dualities become free from anxieties regarding gain and loss. I am ever detached, seated as though neutral. One should not think, in this connection, that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has no engagement. In His spiritual world He is always engaged. In the Brahma-saṁhitā it is stated: "He is always involved in His eternal, blissful, spiritual activities, but He has nothing to do with these material activities." Material activities are being carried on by His different potencies. The Lord is always neutral in the material activities of the created world. This neutrality is explained here. Although He has control over every minute detail of matter, He is sitting as if neutral. The example can be given of a high court judge sitting on his bench. By his order so many things are happening: someone is being hanged, someone is being put into jail, someone is awarded a huge amount of wealth-but still he is neutral. He has nothing to do with all that gain and loss. Similarly, the Lord is always neutral, although He has His hand in every sphere of activity. In the Vedānta-sūtra it is stated that He is not situated in the dualities of this material world. He is transcendental to these dualities. Nor is He attached to the creation and annihilation of this material world. The essence of Vedanta is developing a love for Lord Krishna. This essence has been nicely explained in Srimad Bhagavatam, which is the natural commentary on the Vedanta Sutra.

తాత్పర్యము : అమ్మా! స్త్రీ రూపమున నున్న నా (భగవంతుని) మాయా బలముసు పరికింపుము. స్త్రీ తన భ్రూవిలాసము చేతనే గొప్ప గొప్ప దిగ్విజేతలైన వీరులను గూడ పాదాక్రాంతులను (మోహితులను) గావించును.

MEANING : Just try to understand the mighty strength of My māyā in the shape of woman, who by the mere movement of her eyebrows can keep even the greatest conquerors of the world under her grip.
PURPORT : One has to study the captivating potency of woman, and man's attraction for that potency. From what source was this generated? According to Vedānta-sūtra, we can understand that everything is generated from the Supreme Personality of Godhead. It is enunciated there, janmādy asya yataḥ (SB 1.1.1). This means that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, or the Supreme Person, Brahman, the Absolute Truth, is the source from whom everything emanates. The captivating power of woman, and man's susceptibility to such attraction, must also exist in the Supreme Personality of Godhead in the spiritual world and must be represented in the transcendental pastimes of the Lord.
Instead of being attracted by material beauty, if one is accustomed to be attracted by the beauty of Rādhārāṇī and Kṛṣṇa, then the statement of Bhagavad-gītā, paraṁ dṛṣṭvā nivartate (BG 2.59), holds true. When one is attracted by the transcendental beauty of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa, he is no longer attracted by material feminine beauty. That is the special significance of Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa worship. That is testified to by Yāmunācārya. He says, "Since I have become attracted by the beauty of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa, when there is attraction for a woman or a memory of sex life with a woman, I at once spit on it, and my face turns in disgust." When we are attracted by Madana-mohana and the beauty of Kṛṣṇa and His consorts, then the shackles of conditioned life, namely the beauty of a material woman, cannot attract us.

सर्गाणामादिरन्तश्र्च मध्यं चैवाहमर्जुन | अध्यात्मविद्या विद्यानां वादः प्रवदतामहम् || ३२ || sargāṇām ādir antaś ca madhyaṁ caivāham arjuna adhyātma-vidyā vidyānāṁ vādaḥ pravadatām aham Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the Self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth. Among created manifestations, the total material elements are first created by Mahā-Viṣṇu and are annihilated by Lord Śiva. Brahmā is the secondary creator. All these created elements are different incarnations of the material qualities of the Supreme Lord; therefore He is the beginning, the middle and the end of all creation. Regarding the spiritual science of the Self, there are many literatures, such as the four Vedas, the Vedānta-sūtra and the Purāṇas, the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and the Gītā. These are all representatives of Kṛṣṇa. Among logicians there are different stages of argument. The presentation of evidence is called japa. The attempt to defeat one another is called vitaṇḍa, and the final conclusion is called vāda.
