We start off naked in cribs then waddle around with a pacifier in our mouth and a diaper around our ankles. We go through our teens, visit each other’s cribs, and go to parties with a Mylar pacifier in our mouth and our pants around our knees.
At some point, we start growing up and an ascension takes place. After dropping as low as they can possibly go, our pants begin to rise up, climbing higher and higher the older we get, until at last --- we strangle on the waistband.
Witha little more practice, I'm going to be the best old man ever.

Did you know that NOW really isn’t?
The present moment is always about 11 seconds late. That’s how long it takes for light rays reflected by objects to enter the eye and pass through the cornea, lens, and vitreous humour to meet at the back of the eye upside down where the brain makes sense of this information so we see objects the right way up.
Tumblr media
So now just was. Right before that. And that. And this.

It's time! Time for sspacegodd's annual summer serial! Today is the first installment of....SPACESHIP TO HELL.
Tumblr media
“Captain! We are in danger and stuff!!”
Mr.Vulton’s voice traveled through the spaceship’s hallways like a burrowing mole.
Tumblr media
Doors embedded in the dark blue walls silently slid open, disgorging men and women in skintight space suits made for space. Some raced to and fro, others hither and yon, all to their various posts in order to do technology.
Tumblr media
Outside in the mostly vast and pretty limitless infinite space, where there is no up or down and only a sketchy sideways, a gigantic sheer green jellyfish-like creature hovered above or below the ship. “Let’s get out of here!” Roscoe yelled.
“In space there IS no here!” the captain yelled back.
From sick bay, a voice emitted weakly from the intercom: “And don’t forget Zeno’s paradox!”
Tumblr media
Mr. Vulton smiled grimly. Nowhere to be -- and no way to get there.
Stranded.
(to be continued….)

A forgotten memory was tugging at my pant leg, something about....farm animals...and porn?
Brown chicken, brown cow Brown chicken, brown cow
Oh, now I remember, it was from the distant past, an ancient onomatopoeia from biblical times. It's what the music in porn used to supposedly sound like. Am I right? Has anybody else heard about this?
And so while all the nuances of my young youthful dorkiness washed over me, I began googling around and confirmed that yes, it IS a thing.
Tumblr media
And then I stumbled over the video for a song by Trace Adkins, called 'Brown Chicken, Brown Cow." Sure enough, the lyrics easily proved the porn music part.
But I hesitated to actually listen to it because I really hate country music. Whether it's from my dad listening to it constantly, or that I thought country music seemed the simplistic, most boring grade-school-type melodies of all the musical genres -- whatever, I honestly couldn't stand it.
And repetitive -- it seemed like the country artists were all doing the same song over and over and over again.
youtube
So a whole lifetime of musical snobbery conspired to stop me from ever hearing the song. But nobody tells me what to do, especially myself, which was the second powerful revelation of this post:
it's kind of a cool country song and I liked it.
Tumblr media
Some of you probably miss the days of Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and Hee-Haw, complaining country-western has changed, infiltrated by too much modernity. Yes, this song sounds nothing like traditional country-western.
But I'm sure that's exactly why I like it.

"Rewatch American Gangster and you'll see that bone chilling scene when in the middle of broad daylight in the middle of the sidewalk, a dude disrespects him, so Frank Lucas pulls out a gun and shoots him in the head and kills him in front of everybody -- cuz he knows nobody will say anything..." - ᴊᴏꜱʜ ᴊᴏʜɴꜱᴏɴ
Who does that sound like?

Power, loyalty, revenge -- Trump's getting to be more mob-like all the time.

The soft beating of butterfly wings moves the air, altering the currents that swirl and whirl about the globe, causing changes in the weather that affect each and every one of us, who, in turn, travel, build shelter, discover fire, invent Chia Pets and lawn paint and everything else that anyone can imagine.
