https://mymodernmet.com/chimera-cat-quimera/ literally just here to complain bc i stumbled on this article while looking for silly cat photos to set as part of my lock screen slideshow on my work computer. it claims that a chimera is just a tortie with a split face, which is verifiably false and i think you would also be annoyed by this.
Honestly i think whoever wrote this simply didn't know the word 'chimera' has an actual scientific meaning and not just a fancy word for split faced cats with heterochromia.

#ive been realizing over time that i was scared of a lot of stuff as a kid and just didn't do anything about it#(or else formed odd rituals to ward them off. which could mean nothing)#and it's like i Need to share this information somehow. so. here's how#i love making polls i need. the numbers#MAN OKAY lemme explain the ladybug one bc like#it splits in half? after getting run over by a minecart#and it would be a little much to call it gory but i was very young so it was horrible just#seeing the red there. as if i didn't kill bugs? and also they're not red on the inside? idk#like it's the way it pauses and then just splits idk it was weirdly haunting#even though describing it like this it sounds more like a like. delayed anime sword slash moment#and the skeleton thing (like several other things actually) was Just the sound. i had to play those parts with the tv muted lol#oh also not pictured was me googling variations on 'production studio logo with vertical lines' over and over#trying to find the right one. i gave up lol#'you know! the one that was really sudden and loud and kind of dramatic andmaybealittlescary yk that one??' like what

thinking of making a little kittydex for the cats at work I can keep in my pocket so I know all their names. they are all chipped and have a list of numbers on the wall with a scanner but I want to be able to identify any cat by sight. of course some will get adopted and new ones will come in but it'll just be in pencil so I can erase and update it. I could have a page for each color and pattern group and then individuals listed with further identifying details. this one has a white spot on her nose, this one has a nicked ear, etc.
also thinking about getting into cat genetics. I just think they're neat.

Fun fact: one of my somewhat rational fears is wanting to say vertical in a public setting but saying vaginal instead.
#nya#the stress is on the same syllable in my language#the fear is looming just enough™ that I actively focus each time I am about to say it#sometimes you can hear me pause for a split second before saying vertical#But what’s really frustrating is that vaginal is NOT a word I use in day-to-day life.#like I pretty much ONLY think about that word when I want to focus to try and NOT use that word#I have built this prison I put myself in with my bare hands#same as how when I’m thinking ‘am I dreaming?’ my first thought is ‘if you turn around & focus then you’ll see what you’re imagining—#—so for all that is holy do NOT imagine a giant spider right behind you’. for years. without fail.

the doc told me my baby wasn't big but I have a short as fuck torso so there's nowhere for him to go but out. I'm literally all belly. people ask me if I'm having twins when I waddle around in public
also, everything is hard. I'm going to sue whoever said you get a 'surge of energy' towards the end of the pregnancy. Just existing makes me tired
