Viking raids were brutal, bloody, and remorseless. Whether attacking a monastery for valuables, looting a town, or fighting an enemy army, the Vikings showed no mercy.

Not all these historical fiction things like noooo if I get yeeted into a monastery or nunnery I’d be irrelevant and DIE OF BOREDOM
when like that’s where they made all the manuscripts with weird shit in the margins
I’d rather make manuscripts with weird shit in the margins than a lot of the other options on offer

It took some hunting, but I found it!! Goodbye, Mr. Chips!
I made a post about finding the episode of Henry's in Midsomer Murders and someone commented about him in Goodbye, Mr. Chips (2002 tv version) and not being able to find a place to watch it.
Well, I found it! It's in two parts, but here it is!! I didn't watch it, I just glanced through it until I found Henry, who's play the part of Soldier Colley, to make sure I had the right version, since there's three of them, and Henry is in Part Two.
Here there's Part Two for those just wanting Henry, (I didn't see him in Part One, doesn't mean he wasn't there.)
GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS, PART TWO

For Medieval Europeans few things could have been more terrifying than seeing a Viking longship on the horizon. Vikings raids were rapid, brutal, and totally without mercy, as this video reveals.

How would the assassins react to meeting Ivar the Boneless?
So I’ll be focusing on the main characters of the main games on this one only and we’re going to set this up as more or less an alternate world where Ivarr meets with them without any use of time travel or such. Ivarr is as he is portrayed in AC Valhalla so his backstory will be changed a bit to suit each time period he finds himself in.
Altaïr:
Altaïr would only work with Ivarr if Al Mualim would order him to but Al Mualim himself would see Ivarr as simply too dangerous and too much of a wildcard. The only reason why he would entertain the notion was because of Ubba. Ivarr would want to fight Altaïr because he had heard the tales of the Eagle of Masyaf and see him as a worthy opponent. Altaïr sees him as a dangerous wild beast that can corrupt those around them and should be put down.
Ezio:
Ezio would be hesitant on helping Ivarr but his duties in the Brotherhood would probably force him to do just that in dire circumstances. Behind Ivarr’s back though, he has ordered his recruits to look for any information about Ivarr. Ezio trusts Ivarr to do what Ubba wishes but he also ‘trusts’ Ivarr to have an agenda of his own. He cannot act until he knows what that agenda is though.
Ratonhnhaké:ton:
In Ratonhnhaké:ton’s situation… would Ubba and Ivarr be his allies? Considering how they’re most or less trying to conquer land in their storyline, wouldn’t that mean that twisting them to fit with AC3’s time period would mean they would be colonizers? That would mean that they would Ratonhnhaké:ton’s enemies because they’re trying to capture lands that are not theirs.
Edward
Edward wouldn’t necessarily trust Ivarr but, if Ivarr was a pirate that’s part of their ‘group’ (although I feel like he’s there because Ubba is part of Edward’s group), he’d be… sorta-kinda in amicable terms with Ivarr. He doesn’t want to sail with the man and he’d rather sail far away from his ship at any given time, even if they’re teaming up but Edward knows that Ivarr won’t betray them for the crown. To be more exact, he won’t betray them for the crown but he will definitely betray them if it means having a glorious naval battle.
Arno
Oh, Arno will be suspicious of him but if he has any information about Monsieur de la Serre’s death, he’d suck it up and team up with him. He wouldn’t agree with Ivarr’s bloody methods but if it means getting closer to the truth, he’ll suck it up and do what must be done. (To be fair, if the Parisian Brotherhood actually allies themselves with Ivarr, that would just be more fuel for Bellec to show the other Assassins how far the Brotherhood has fallen in the hands of the council. It ain’t gonna be pretty, that’s for sure)
Jacob & Evie:
I put them together because their reaction to Ivarr are connected. Evie would definitely clock Ivarr as bad news and would tell Jacob to stay clear of him. Of course, because Evie told him to stay clear, Jacob does the opposite. Evie tries to stop him and get him to see reason, not realizing the more she tries, the more Jacob sees it as Evie trying to order him around and the more he gets closer to Ivarr. In this case, Jacob’s taste in men hit him once more and he falls for Ivarr, less because of who he is and more of how free he seems. Of course, this does mean that Jacob, once more, has to deal with Ivarr when he finally shows just how far he would willingly go to have his glorious warrior’s death.

cracks me up that. consistently. across almost every verse. sigrid meets her husband for the first time, goes "oh he's pretty. anyway," and proceeds to do something terrible and/or illegal at him.
