I realized recently that Eliot died before a bunch of important revelations…
He never learned that Leo, Gil and Vincent were Baskerville, Jack caused the Sablier Tragedy, that Oz was B-Rabbit in Jack Vessalius body, that Echo was both a vessel and a chain for Noise. And probably a lot of others things.
#and I just feel like someone#(probably Break)#would tell him all about it in whatever afterlife souls go in PH before reincarnating#and he would just be like#WHAT DO YOU MEAN#Jack Vessalius stopped the Tragedy because he’s the one that started it in the first place#The Baskerville are not evil ?!#Vincent and Gilbert are 100+ years old ?!#time travel is real ?!?#And my bff/bf is the reincarnation of the head of the Baskerville clan#and have all his predecessor voice inside his head ?#actually the whole reincarnation thing might explain what was going on with his eyes#who would have thought ?#STILL#my whole entire life was based on lies#and let’s not forget about Oz being a chain#and he would have a whole mental breakdown over it#with Break in the background enjoying the chaos he caused#he would probably be catching up with Shelly#pandora hearts#eliot nightray#Leo Baskerville#Jack Vessalius#Oz B-Rabbit#Vincent Nightray#Gil(bert) Nightray#Xerxes Break

Hi again :)! For the fic WIP title game, I'd really like to know more about "Glass" and "Quiet nights treading in the snow"
Heyaaa ty for the ask :D
Glass is a short introspective oneshot about Gilbert during the hundred year long wait. I've always thought about how Gilbert got through the second half of the 100 years, when most of his friends and acquaintances were dead and even Vincent was a rare sight and this is the result :)
I'm pretty much done with the draft at this point and just have a few minor tweaks and edits to incorporate before I can post it!
Quiet nights treading in the snow is a collection of post-canon Xi Ping drabbles. I don't really know where I'm going with it or even if I'd ever want to post it. It is very dear to me though, so I'd definitely love to share it in part or whole once I've written a bit more :)
Glass
Once a year, they would go visit Ada's grave. She would eat the flowers he'd bought, he would scold her, she would give him a look and he'd sigh and stand around awkwardly and let her enjoy her meal. She reminded him of Alice sometimes. Only sometimes though. Once she was done, they would pack up, he would bid farewell to Ada and they'd return to his little furnitured box and carry on with their lives, rinse and repeat. She never accompanied him on the other grave visits. He wondered how she knew. The grave visits were a regular part of his schedule. He found them comforting in a way. To have fixed dates for everyone. No more dry throats and throbbing hearts as he wondered if every visit, every word, every request would be their last. He had enough promises to keep for a lifetime.
Quiet nights treading in the snow
Xi Yue is looking up at him. Concerned. As concerned as a puppet can look. "I am fine." He lies. Xi Yue looks even more concerned now. Actually, Xi Ping was pretty sure he shouldn't be able to make such expressions. Did the Golden Hand perhaps tinker with him while he was away? Ah, that's right. Lin shishu has been dead for well over a century. And it's not like Xi Yue had left his side since he'd left his side. He leans back and chuckles. He really was getting old now. The wind chime tinkles happily in the pleasant night breeze, perhaps agreeing with him.
#congrats on choosing the 2 fics born from the same train of thought!#i hope you enjoyed the excerpts because neither of these are getting done anytime soon <3#asks#🍀

happy birthday, elliot
a/n: this isn’t an x reader, which is unusual but. It’s for Elliot <3 cos, I may not like my art, but I’m like 75% content with my writing style :D
don't ask me why i felt like just. doing all i could for elliot's birthday this year, i just,,,,,,, care for him
warnings: pandora hearts spoilerssss
word count: 1,746
The birthday of an aristocrat was always a big deal. They were rich, after all, and had a high status. They were nobles. And they, or at least the children of Duke Nightray, loved their youngest brother dearly. Ah, they recounted the day he was born with bright smiles- and celebrated accordingly each year. His favorite foods would be served, there would be cake, and presents. Elliot recalled those days to Leo with a somewhat neutral tone. He wasn’t necessarily indifferent to those happy memories, but, even when he was younger, it was all a bit much.
Still, once Gilbert and Vincent were introduced to his life, Elliot was curious as to how they’d treat the day. So, after escaping the clutches of his doting siblings, he made his way towards his adoptive brothers.
“Ah, hello, Elliot! Happy birthday,” Gil had greeted, smiling and waving at the small boy. Elliot flushed a bit, as if his young face wasn’t already plenty rosey, deciding that it was practically impossible for them to miss his birthday. Whether or not they remembered, the hustle and bustle going on inside the mansion was probably sign enough. He wasn’t sure how to feel, but he was a bit happy that they weren’t overwhelming him as his biological siblings sometimes did. Sure, he didn’t mind a lot of the affection and objects, but he liked to think of himself as practically grown. He was yet another year older- he didn’t see his big brothers getting that much attention, so why should it all go to him?
“Thank you,” Elliot said, looking side to side, then back at the two. He then figured that he wasn’t entirely sure what else to do. He had no real point of going to see them, other than pure curiosity.
“Don’t you have a party to attend or something?” Vincent finally spoke, crossing his arms.
“Not until dinner time- unless they need me for something. But I don’t really feel like it.”
“Oh? The baby of the Nightray family is sick of being adored?”
“Nah-uh? Or, kinda. They do a lot of the same every year, and so I…” He fiddled with his hands, furrowing his eyebrows as if he didn’t want to admit it, “was wondering what you were doing. Making sure it’s nothing suspicious!!”
Of course, he had to tack that last part onto his words. Gilbert and Vincent understood well enough, and Gilbert found it rather endearing. Vincent was a bit annoyed, but he wouldn’t go against his brother’s wishes.
“Ah, that reminds me! I’m sure it’s not much, but I did my best to get you a gift,” Gil spoke, grabbing a square-shaped box, wrapped decently in paper. He handed it to Elliot, whose face brightened, eyes shining with curiosity.
Holding the gift carefully, Elliot looked down on it- rather large in his small hands, despite the fact that the gift wasn’t very big in the first place- then back at Gil, asking a question without actually saying anything. “Can I open it?”
Gil, understanding what he meant well enough, nodded, folding his hands somewhat expectantly. “This is from both Vince and I, by the way. I hope you’ll like it.”
Elliot tore the wrapper off, being able to tell rather quickly that it was a book. Once the last bit of wrapping paper was off, he studied the cover curiously, reading the title out loud.
“I remembered that you liked Holy Knight, so I think it’s safe to assume you have the same taste as… someone I knew. It’s in a similar genre as Holy Knight, or that’s what I understood. He seemed fond of it at least- though not as greatly as Holy Knight.”
Elliot nodded, his eyes wide and excited, practically ready to read the book that very moment. “Thank you,” He finally said, holding the book to his chest, as if to show Gil that he’d keep it safe.
Yes, though Elliot had recalled it distastefully when Leo asked about that certain book still sitting on his shelf, Leo felt rather confident that it was something Elliot was fond of at the time. Even now, the anger in his voice didn’t quite reach his eyes. Most of his birthday stories were like that. He had told Leo that they were all basically the same, up until Gil and Vincent moved in. From then, they were the same up until Leo moved in. Shortly after, his brothers began to be killed. Then, things never really were like when he was small.
“Taking the opportunity of it being your birthday to try and catch some extra shut-eye?” Leo asked, pulling open the curtains to let the sun shine into Elliot’s room. He groaned, covering his eyes with an arm, forcing himself to begin to wake up.
“That would be nice.”
“It sure would,” Leo spoke, opening the wardrobe and grabbing an outfit for Elliot. He walked back over to the bed, setting it down, and making sure that Elliot got up.
The day continued on relatively normally. Residents of the mansion wishing Elliot a happy birthday, Elliot mainly unsure of what to do. Any plans he normally had were cancelled for the occasion, and yet… there was nothing to do. His favorite dinner would be served, and he was sure he’d at least have cake, but until then, all he could really do was… sit around.
“You’re pitiful,” Leo sighed, looking up from his book, and over at Elliot who had been looking at the same page for the past few minutes. Elliot looked over at him, his eyebrows furrowing in annoyance.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re spacing out. What’s the point of pretending to read if you’re gonna do such a crappy job of it?”
“I was trying to read. I’ve just read this volume before, and I’m getting bored. Reading is nice, but not all of these books are my thing. Is this what you do all day?”
Leo pushed up his glasses, placing a bookmark in the book he was reading. “No, actually, I spend the majority of my day taking care of the youngest son of a Duke. Babying him as if he isn’t old enough to do things on his own. It’s quite sad, honestly.”
Elliot stopped himself from shouting, pointing at Leo in an accusatory fashion. “It’s your job!”
Leo bit back a laugh, shrugging his shoulders. “I suppose you’re right- I’ll give up since it’s your birthday. Here, since you’re so bored,” He stood up, placing the book he was reading to the side. “I got you something small. I’ll go and grab it.”
Elliot didn’t say anything further, instead taking a moment to process the fact that Leo actually admitted that Elliot was in the right. By the time Leo returned, Elliot was prepared for another snide remark or insult. But, it never came. Instead, Leo came back, holding a box wrapped neatly. Unlike Gil’s had been so many years ago, it was wrapped properly, neatly, and in new-looking wrapping paper. Almost indifferently, Leo handed the gift to Elliot, sitting back down and reopening his book. This time, Leo was the one pretending to read- glimpsing over at Elliot to try and read his reactions.
Elliot found it safe to assume he could open the gift. So, he did just that- tearing the paper carefully, placing it to the side, then looking at the gift held in his hands. It was a book he had mentioned in passing to Leo. A book he intended to buy on his own one day, though now it was too late for that. Elliot’s eyes practically lit up, as he took note of something resting between the cover and first page. Opening the book, he grabbed the small card that nearly fell out.
“Happy Birthday.
I can’t buy you anything incredible, but I hope this will suffice. In fact, I’m confident it will, despite the fact that my presence should be a good enough gift.
~Leo”
Elliot shut the card, then the book, admiring the cover for a moment longer as a smile made its way to his face. “Thanks for that,” He finally spoke, looking over at Leo. Leo glanced away, having made eye-contact with him, though Elliot couldn’t have been aware of it. Playing it off as coolly as he could, Leo smiled back, shrugging once more.
“I’m obliged to get my master something for his birthday.”
“Hm. Either way, it’s a nice gift.”
“Alright, alright, you don’t need to make yourself compliment my amazing gift buying skills. Start reading it, I’m sure it’ll help pass time.”
Though Leo’s words were spoken as though he was annoyed, both boys could tell there was no real anger behind them. They both understood that Elliot was thankful- especially as he immediately reopened the book. Leo watched him a bit longer, proud that the excited glint in his eyes was due to something he was able to give him.
He thought to himself at that moment, that he’d like to see that face more. Maybe buying gifts for someone who could buy most anything he wasn’t wasn’t awful. Because, when Elliot was handed other objects from his siblings, he’d thank them. He’d express gratitude and smile- but none of them gave him the same expression. Maybe it was because Leo’s gift was more genuine? Or perhaps because he got things from his siblings every year- a gift from Leo was a new occurrence.
Leo smiled fondly at those memories. He may have not been there for Elliot’s entire life, but he was content with what he got, though he did long for more. And, as he looked upon the tombstone, the name the hotheaded boy declared with such pride carved in it, Leo thought, for once, that the golden lights dancing around made it almost beautiful. It hurt. It never stopped hurting, and it never would. Yet, as he placed limonium carefully on the grave, Leo silently hoped that one day… just maybe, once 100 years have passed, he’d have the chance to get to know a loud boy with an entertainingly short temper once again. Until then, he’d wait patiently, keeping the memory of the one and only Elliot Nightray alive. Surely, that would make his friend’s pride swell.
Limonium. Also known as Sea Lavender, Caspia, Marsh-Rosemary, or Statice.
“Something that never changes, huh?”
No. “I miss you.” A symbol of remembrance and sympathy.
“Happy birthday, Elliot.”

Binge-Watching: Pandora Hearts, Episodes 14-16
In which we get yet more answers, Oz channels his ancestor, and Break is the goddamn best.
Century-Old War
And the answers don’t stop coming on this wild ride of a show. The remainder of our time in Alice’s memories has yet more revelations in store for us that spell big shake-ups for the playing field moving forward. As I suspected, Alice and Jack were indeed around for the Tragedy of Sablier 100 years ago. More specifically, dunking the capital city for a swim in the abyss was an attempt by Baskerville to sacrifice enough human life to unlock the path to the Will of Abyss (and yes, that is eerily reminiscent of Xerxes’ fate from FMA now that I think about it). And in yet another unexpected twist, it turns out the party responsible was likely Vincent Nightray. In other words, Oz isn’t the only character in this show who’s suffered the Abyss’ time displacement effects: Vincent and Gilbert were both chilling in there for the better part of a century before somehow finding their way back out, still the same children they were when they were sucked in and lacking memories of what went down. As for Alice? Well, she used to be human all those years ago. But someone- most likely Vincent- murdered her on the night of the Tragedy, and something about being sucked into the Abyss as she died transformed her into a Chain. That explains why she’s not quite as mindless as many of the other Chains we’ve encountered, as well as why she was so traumatized by these events she’d rather rip her memories apart than live with them.
Not gonna lie, it’s a little amusing how many characters in this show are suffering some form of plot-convenient amnesia, but at least Pandora Hearts is smart enough to tie these afflictions all back to the same general place. That way, it makes the Abyss feel far-reaching and treacherous thanks to how many people it’s been able to effect. Plus, it leads to more strong character moments between Oz and Alice, as he learns not to make the same mistake as the Cheshire Cat and appoint himself the sole arbiter of her happiness. There’s only so much you can defend someone from the things they fear when the thing they fear most is themself, after all. Alice doesn’t need a brave knight; she needs a friend who can pull her out of her own head and promise her that she’s worth sticking around for. And while Oz may have never known Alice when she was human, he knows her now. Not as a corrupted Chain or a perversion of humanity, but the attitudes and personality and sincerity that make Alice, Alice, whatever her actual classification may be. That’s the real Alice, and that’s someone worth sticking around for. Say what you will about how Oz is always two seconds away from snapping, there’s no denying he drinks his Respect Woman juice like a good boy. Seriously, ”To me, Alice is like the sun” is just cheesy enough to wrap back around to being sweet again.
The Hero Reborn
Last but not least, there’s Jack Vassilius, Oz’ ancestor, who still has many screts left to reveal. But it’s at least clear by now that he’s not the bad guy I pegged him as initially. In fact, he was the hero of the Tragedy of Salbier, and the fragment of his soul we meet carries on that legacy. He saves our gang in times of need, he genuinely wants to help Alice, and he pops out in the real world to set the agenda for the rest of Pandora: stop Baskerville from repeating the Tragedy of Salbier all over again. Their leader is still alive, Vincent’s a rat who needs to get snuffed out, and if they’re not stopped, yet another city is going to be swallowed by darkness as madmen use their sacrifice to draw closer to ultimate power. It is a little convenient that Jack’s able to astral project into the real world through Oz despite that not really being an established thing that could happen; seriously, how many beings in incredible power is this kid gonna share his meat sack with? But I can give that a little leeway because there’s clearly still unanswered questions about what exactly happened to Oz, and there’s no telling what direction his story’s gonna take yet. Maybe there’s weird ancestor magic that lets particularly powerful ghosts speak through their ancestors, maybe this is something Jack specifically figures out, but I guess we’ll see. For now, we’ve got our mission, we’ve got our enemies, and we’ve got all our allies on the same side working toward the same goal. Let’s hope Oz has enough fight left in him to finish the job before his clock finally runs out.
Breaking Point
At this point, I think all the characters in Pandora Hearts have grown on me. They’ve sorted out their kinks enough to have good chemistry with each other, and they’ve all got interesting internal conflicts relating to the bigger plot. But by far my favorite character in this show is Break, because he just does not give a fuck. He’s a chaos agent in the bast way possible; he’s completely unburdened by any rules of decorum or sociability, which means he’s able to push the plot forward in hilarious ways without stopping to worry about anything else. When it becomes obvious that Vincent’s the traitor- because let’s be real, that guy was bad news from the moment we laid eyes on him- Break doesn’t wait around like an idiot; he goes straight to the dude and confronts him head-on, because he’s got no patience for anything but the direct approach. I was so nervous we were gonna dance around this obvious bad guy and drag that storyline out, but Break said, “Listen, we know you know he’s evil, so let’s stop beating around the bush and get right into doing something about it.” That’s my kind of character, and he’s just a blast to watch as he dicks around with everyone else. Vibing as an upside-down mirror ghost, casually calling Cheshire out his controlling attitudes, genuinely apologizing for getting Oz in too deep (And causing Oz much anxiety in the process: ”What’s wrong? Do you have a fever?”), and one particularly fantastic moment where in quick succession, he gets so mad that he stabs his cake to shreds with his fork, then shoves the whole plate in his mouth to hide his shame, and then pulls the plate out with a fucking circus string attached somehow, because why the fuck not at this point. Bottom line, Break’s a goddamn riot, and I’m very glad for how he livens up this show.
Odds and Ends
-”I’m not trapped in here with you, you’re trapped in here with me.” -Break, probably.
-So Jack’s not in her memories, this is an actual fragment of his soul? Curiouser and curiouser.
-Oh shit, new ED? Nice!
-It just occurred to me that I think Cheshire has the same voice actor as Inuyasha.
-Ahahahaha groooooss
-Break what even is that pose istfg
-”I still haven’t found anything out!” Lol, Oz is me. Don’t take me from my juicy lore!
-”Figure it out yourself!” sdkjfhsdkfh poor Reim
-Lol at Alice and Gilbert both sleeping on opposite side of Oz’s bed. Oz is becoming a regular harem protagonist.
-”What’s with that obvious disappointment on your face?” god dammit I love him
-”I said I’d answer your questions, not that I’d give you an answer.” GOD DAMMIT I LOVE HIM
The stage is set. See you for the opening shots of this new chapter... next time!

Verse/AU Masterlist ;; (a comprehensive list of current verses i have for most muses on this blog for reference)
Asahi ;;
deaf/hoh au : asahi is hard of hearing from birth, getting implants only when he gets to middle school when he discovers volleyball and desperately wants to play on an actual team. he only wears them when playing or in class, however, and most of his teammates have learned at least simple signing to help make him comfortable because he still finds it a little overwhelming after not hearing for so many years.
superpower/bnha au : asahi is best described as a healer, though in a deeper sense what he can do is actually use his powers to rewrite and boost the body’s natural ability to heal. it can also be used in an offensive manner, to both control or halt a body’s movement, but he refuses to use it for that. the power attracted quite a bit of attention, and not always the good kind, which causes him a bit of trouble over his years of schooling. he’s currently keeping a low profile after graduation, though he tries to help where he can.
werewolf au : asahi is a werewolf who was bitten as a teenager. he’s very timid, and refuses to go out if there’s even a chance he’ll turn out of fear of hurting or biting anyone else. currently living with hunters suga and daichi, who are aware of what he is but also that he’s no harm to anyone and therefore there’s no need to be worried.
royalty au : asahi is the only son of the king and queen of a failing kingdom. his father tries his best, but things were already going poorly when he took over and it’s slowly falling into chaos, both from its people and outside forces trying to take advantage of it. asahi finds himself caught up in the middle rather often, most people not too happy with the idea of the ‘soft’ prince taking charge if something were to happen to his father, though those close to him are aware of his inner strength and believe he could be the change their kingdom needs.
pacific rim : asahi is a physically impressive pilot with a bit of a mental weakness that makes him difficult to drift with. early on in his career he had a major fight that ended with both him and the other pilot badly injured when he nearly fell out of the drift mid-battle, and he ended up briefly retiring until he was convinced to come back and try again.
hogwarts au : sorted into hufflepuff, currently chaser on his team; which does surprisingly well, and mostly because of him, though he doesn’t really see it.
Break
modern/reincarnation au : break is one of the few who remembers clearly everything that happened in his old life, and still maintains a bit of connection the powers of the abyss. he is blind from birth, however, and considers this to be a punishment for everything he’d done in his previous life. he is also diabetic and has an incredibly weak constitution, but is stubbornly independent and tries not to let any of it show. he currently lives with the rainsworth family and works for them.
superpower/bnha au : break has the power to nullify someone’s abilities for a brief time, although he has to be able to touch their bare skin to do so. he’s also proficient with his sword-cane and uses it to take advantage of his opponents once they’re fumbling without their powers. it doesn’t work very well against physical powers, of course. he currently works as a hero under the name “mad hatter”
Courfeyrac
blindverse : courfeyrac loses his vision at a rally when he’s hit over the head, damaging the nerves, and is unlikely to ever regain it. he’s adjusting, but not very steady on his own yet, after a little while he does start learning braille and gets a guide dog so he could go out on his own, a golden retriever named marguerite (maggie). he’s not exactly happy about what happened and generally feels useless and down about it.
superpower/bnha au : courfeyrac has the power to manipulate weather, both to either just make it warmer or colder, or make is rain or storm, as well as causing gusts of wind, etc. it’s tied mostly to his emotions and he doesn’t have very good control over it.
the 100 au : is one of the original 100 sent to the ground. is the second son born to his parents, who gave him up to another family member so he wouldn’t be discovered.
royalty au : courf is a servant to the prince. his father was a noble who refused to admit that he had slept with a serving woman, tricking his mother into believing she’d be fired from her position if she said anything. courf has strong beliefs against the way nobility treated people they believed were beneath them, and it tends to get him into a bit of trouble.
hogwarts au : sorted into gryffindor, eventually becomes prefect, and then head boy of his house. well loved, a pureblood who most certainly believes that it doesn’t make him better than anyone else.
Gilbert
modern reincarnation au : gil doesn’t have any of his memories of his previous life. him and vincent were brought up in an orphanage until he was adopted by oscar (who did have his memories) and taken into their home. he moves out a little after he turned 18, and went into training to be a police officer, currently working as a security officer in a large office building to make some money in the meantime. despite not having his memories, he has one of the strongest connections remaining to the abyss.
superpower/bnha au : has a teleportation ability, where he makes little portals to travel from point to point. he has to have an idea of where he’s going in mind when he does so, and his range is only within a few miles. it’s a physically exhausting power, but very useful in emergency situations.
vampire/hunter au : gil and vincent are born with vampire blood, but aren’t full vampires. gil is meant to be the next leader of the vampires, depite his lack of being one himself, and when vincent finds out they’re planning on turning him he makes a deal with a witch to get gilbert away. eventually gil ends up at the vessalius household, and joins the pandora organization as a vampire hunter, unaware of his past.
hogwarts au : hufflepuff, raised in the vessalius family. one year ahead of oz, two in front of vincent. becomes prefect easily in his fifth year.
Noé
modern au : a young vampire whose entire family line was killed when he was a child, and was taken in by his teacher and kept isolated from the human world. eventually goes off on his own, and is constantly fascinated and confused by most things human, which tends to get him in a bit of trouble.
Yuuri
pacific rim au : joined the program out of an admiration for viktor along with his best friend, yuuko. after a fight which left her injured and unable to continue he nearly withdraws entirely from the program; until viktor, who had currently been paired with yuri, sought him out at home after following his story on the news. he could see potential in yuuri, and didn’t think he deserved to stay benched on the sidelines. currently drift compatible with both viktor and yuri interchangeably, though he drifts with viktor more often for obvious reasons.
superpower/bnha au : yuuri is an empath, who can both sense and feel the emotions of others as well as effect them, able to calm people down or make them feel better. it takes a bit of a toll on him, and he doesn’t like to be in heavily crowded spaces very often. it’s not a very offensive power, and he tends to stay at the sidelines.
royalty au : yuuri is the prince of a small kingdom, with very little pressure on his shoulders since his sister will end up taking the throne when the time comes. has a major crush on viktor, the prince of a much larger kingdom a little ways away, and eventually marries him.
#;; asahi#;; break#;; courfeyrac#;; gilbert#;; noe#;; yuuri#i'm sorry this is 90% of what i talk about#i just!!! love all the aus i've crafted so much!!!!#there are more listed on some of these muses' pages but they're a bit less fleshed out/used#long post

Manga Impressions: Pandora’s Hearts Chapters 1-59 (Part 2)
So back to the Manga cause that went a whole different direction.
Selfish Decisions can and will affect those around you regardless of how you see it as justified or reasonable. But actually caring about it is a whole different story and depends on you. Free-will exist and the freedom of expression, democracy, yada yada. I’ll just leave the final judgement to God cause I had already spoke my opinion. Some intentional, some unintentional.
That bring me back to the manga. I’ll just let it out. I think the protagonist. Oz Vessalius, is an Asshole, piece of Crap, and overal manipulative Jerkface with no remorse no matter who he hurts, intentional or not. And I hate him. Yes he’s a kid but the way he acted is something I just can’t stand, As a kid he took slight sadistic pleasure in bullying Gilbert and then makes a 360 degree turn like a schizophrenic serial killer. Like looking at a pleasant old man but he’s actually Holmes the serial killer and Jack the ripper fused together. He have a good past, he’s sheltered and cared for by his uncle. (except for his father, cause most anime protagonist should have at least one dead parent or neglectful fathers) He even have a loving sister. Yet he have a sadistic streak of a grown cynical mastermind.
And then comes the revelation that he carried the soul of his ancestor Jack Vessalius. I should have known his attitude is not fully his own. Something tells me Jack’s personality leaked to Oz cause they share the same body. Just how much of “Jack” is “Oz”. This can cause an identity crisis. Oz keeps claiming that he is not Jack, but he continue to act like Jack no matter what he says, he’s always contradicting his own words just to prove his own identity, but I’ve never seen him act on something that is completely “Oz”, an action that have no influence to any external forces completely, his “own identity” or freewill. His own choice that is in no way connected to Jack.
I noticed his action is just a dark echo that is Jack’s persona, Gilbert somehow is connected to Jack, so is Alice, actually everyone is connected to Jack somehow.
AND THEN comes the bullshit that Jack is the “Hero of the Tragedy of Sablier”. A horrible event 100 years ago that turned the Old capital Sablier to a radioactive sinkhole, killing it’s inhabitants, and made the surrounding area an uninhabitable poverty slum. After seeing how much of a manipulative crap Oz is, I am not surprised if Jack is the same and lied about the whole thing. The hated organization “Baskervilles” became the scapegoat and blamed for the disaster that killed thousands. The members, Lottie, that one guy and Lily, they don’t seem evil to me. They were just following orders by their leader Glen, they don’t even know why the orders was placed, they even questioned why they were ordered to kill people in Sablier, but then everyone will be dragged down to the “Abyss” hole anyway so actual Death is a better end than turning to a mindless monster called “Chain”.
An ordinary person in the “Abyss” will be mutated to a “Chain” monster if they stay their too long. After knowing that, I’d rather die. At least I’ll finally be reunited with my dad in the afterlife, being a twisted monster will really suck balls.
Lottie and her colleagues are safe cause they have an existing contract with a Chain, that makes them immune to the mutative effects of being dragged down in the “Abyss” hole . With additional power ups like longitivity, slow aging and ability to summon their contracted “Chain” monster to fight battles. They are still the antagonist so they will always lose to a fight with the protagonist.
Glen is a mystery, along with the lies of Jack. No surprise he is an old friend of Jack as shown in the flashback. But that’s just the tip of the ice berg. There seems to be conflict between the two, usual. I bet it was politics vs personal choices. Glen became the leader of the Baskervilles and they have rules that Jack appears to be not fond of. Add an unnamed love interest, and you have the cause of this train-wreck that is Pandora’s Hearts.
I still bet Jack did something that started this mess cause like I said, He’s a bipolar psychopath who will shit on you if it will help him attain his goal somehow.
For Gilbert Nightray, he is a complex character and I like him cause he have depth and history but his loyalty to Oz seems too questionable, borderline blind masochistic, almost comparable to a programmed command. My gut tells me something is very wrong here.
Actually every character is messed up in someway. Gilbert have a “master” complex, his younger brother Vincent meanwhile have a “brother” complex. Even worse that Gilbert. Vincent’s doll mutilation habits is something I can slide after knowing how he and his brother was treated as children. I find it actually amusing.
Alice is someone I find okay. Not as in Meh, okay. But acceptable in the messed-up world that is Pandora’s Hearts. She’s brash, hits Oz but she does it intentionally and with free-will. Also it’s anime. She also have amnesia, so her actions can be her way of channeling her frustrations. She is also loves food. She have her priorities straight.
Same with Xerces Break, real name Kevin. I have no idea why the Mangaka choose a name of a Persian royalty as the new alias instead of a more english name like James or something. He likes sweets and hides his past insecurities by acting like an Ass to everyone, but stays loyal and true to Sharon.
Now the only character I truly like is Elliot Nightray. He’s loud, arrogant and pick fights but he also takes no bullshit from anyone, even from Oz. Unlike everyone who became victim to Oz manipulations, intentional or not, Elliot called it out how cowardly and selfish it is. Yelled it straight at his face even if he knew he will be hurt cause Gilbert will literally “kill” anyone who hurts his “master” (again I’m very disturbed that, I’ll do my explaination later), he don’t care about that cause someone’s got to point out the crap Oz keeps sprouting out since he got out of the Abyss.
Elliot also treats everyone equally, though he also hates everyone equally, it means he is not biased on his decision and will investigate it himself instead of depending on second hand accounts, which is bad in judgement. When Gilbert and his brother was adopted by the Nightrays, everyone instantly hated them but Elliot kept wondering why when Gilbert and Vincent are just boys. He approached Gilbert with genuine curiosity. They do fight but that’s cause Elliot’s default personality is “Pissed”. He don’t truly hate Gilbert and respects them as brothers. I’m not sure about Vincent cause he’s a weirdo with a severe brother complex. His unbiased judgement is also good cause it reflects on his relationship with his servant, Leo. Or Reo, cause Japanese can’t get their L’s and R’s straight. Leo have issues but Elliot don’t care about that and sees Leo as more of an equal than a subordinate. That’s good cause Leo have really deep issues and need the confidence boost. I actually ship them to be honest.
Leo don’t act like the usual servant, like say, Gilbert or “Mr. Kill-anyone-who-hurt-my-master”. Leo just acts like himself around Elliot regardless of rank, that means some arguments, fights and hitting each other but they always reconcile cause they are that important to each other.
I have a feeling those two will die first. Their relationship is to promising to stay happy.

Now, I, like many others before me, will calculate how many years all the same characters from Pandora are, all the information about “Pandora’s Hearts” which is official, I took from this Tumblr blog: http://lilyginnyblack.tumblr.com
Why a 15 year old past? According to my calculations 15-year-old. 10 years have passed since Oz got into the Abyss. When Sharon and Reim met Xerxes / Kevin, Reim was 11 years old, although the first picture said that, almost, but since Sharon and Reim met for the first time and the moment they met Xerxes / Kevin, there was still a period of time , Reimu was 11 years old, according to official information Reimu is currently 26 years old and it turns out if you measure time by Reim’s age you get 15 years. And Kevin, Vincent and Gilbert emerged from the Abyss all the same at the same time, and not separately as guys from the Baskervilles. By the way, the difference between Reim and Sharon is only 3 years old and then in their first meeting, she was only 7 or already 8. The second picture says that the letters were sent about forty years ago, when Shelley was three or four years old, that is, she would be 43-44 years old at the moment. So at the time when they met with Xerxes / Kevin, she was 28-29 years old. According to official information, Xerxes himself was 24 years old at the time. It turns out that now Xerxes is already 39 years old, if you do not take the time spent in the Abyss, and this is 30 years, as they say in the third picture. So, if he had not fallen into the trouble, he would have been 69 years old, and according to official information Rufus is now 67 years old. (Pfft ... can you imagine, Break would have been older than Barma! To be honest, when it came to this for a very long time, I laughed) An amusing, but useful fact - exactly 100 years have passed since the time of the Sabrias tragedy. 10 years have passed since Oz's age of majority, another 5 years have passed, in which Gilbert, Vincent and Xerxes / Kevin spent in Vessalius / Nightrey / Rainsward houses, then another 30 years that Kevin spent in the Void, and 24 Kevin's years - 10 + 5 + 30 + 24 = 69 years. So, Kevin Regnard ( Xerxes Break), was born after 31 years, after the Sabryan tragedy. Although this woman will kill me, Sheryl is the same as Barme 67, since they are friends of childhood, and 45 years ago both of them were 22 years old, and Sheryl gave birth to Shelley at 23-24. Ozu is 15 years old, since his soul, 100 years ago, slept all the time and only woke up for a short time, did not develop and was in the Abyss, but if you count this way, then, 125, with errors ... with Alice it is not known both from one and the other, since all the time both Alice were in the Abyss, a place where time is broken, but according to official information they are physically 14 years old. It's easier with Gilbert, at the end of the manga, 124-125 years, except for the time spent in the Abyss, but I don't consider it as this space with a broken course of time, and once there, the time flies by unnoticed, and you do not develop, but if to calculate, he would have been 224-225 years old. Vincent at the end of the manga is 123 years old, Levi is 32 years old, according to official information, before the Sabrias tragedy, then, his soul fell asleep, but if you count down 157 years. Jack, according to official information, was 25 years old before the Sabrian tragedy, his soul fragment traveled around the world after the Sabrian tragedy, so Jack was 125 years old at the beginning of the manga . Lacie, like Jack, 25 years old, Oswald, 27 years old. Lottie is physically 24, and Zwei is 16, but she, like Zwei, was present at the Oz ceremony. In those crevices, speaking to Break, she talked about how Zai told them about the need to throw Oz into the Abyss. It means that she was still present during this conversation, and she behaves like a middle-aged woman, she considers herself older than twenty years old, such as Vincent, with her “boy”, it turns out, now Lottie 34. With Zwai more difficult, her soul very often all these 10 years, faded into the background and fell asleep without developing, another person came to her place, the Echo personality, so this may not be accurate. With our Echo, everything is not known, but according to official information, she herself gives 16 years. It is not known, at the expense of Fang and Dag, who are physically 36 and 42, I think they a little later Lotty fell out of the Abyss, but at about the same time as her. Lily, both physically 12 years old and in fact, in fact, she fell out of the Abyss at the time of the main events in the manga, in the arch with crevices in Sabrias. Cheshire is completely unknown, but domestic cats live 14 years, maybe a few months or a year. Calum, this is Reym's grandfather, it was said that he is older than Rufus, but by how much - no. In the fourth picture, Rufus looks like 16, and Kalum is 19-20 years old (This is not the 45-year-old Past, but the 52-two-year-old Past).
So, the results:
From the moment Zarksis got into the Abyss and the current events have passed - 45 years (45-year-old Past) From the moment Gilbert, Vincent and Kevin got into the houses of Besarius / Nightrey / Reinsvord, 15 years passed (15 year old Past) In young years, Rufus and Calum - 52 years (52-two-year-old Past)
Oz Vessalius - 15 (125) Alice Baskerville - physically 14 Gilbert Nightrey (Baskerville) - 10 year old Past - 14, now - 24 (124) at the end - 124 (224) Sharon Rainsward - 15-year-old Past - 8, 10-year-old Past - 13, 15-year-old Past - 8, at present - 13 physically, actually 23 Xerxes Break (Kevin Regnard) - 45-year-old Past -15-year-old Past - 24 (54) in the present - 39 (69) years Reim Lunette - 15 year old Past - 11, in the present - 26 Lacie Baskerville - 25 Levi Baskerville - 32 (157) Oswald Baskerville - 27 Jack Vessalius - before the Sabrian tragedy - 25, in the present - 125 Lotty Baskerville - before the Sabrias tragedy - 24, now - 34 Fang Baskerville - before the Sabrias tragedy - 36, at present - 46 Doug Baskerville - before the Sabrias tragedy - 42, now - 52 Lily Baskerville - before the Sabrias tragedy - 12, now - 12 Vincent Nightrey (Baskerville) - at the beginning - 23 (123), at the end - 123 (223) Echo - self-proclaimed age 16 Zwai Baskerville - before the Sabrias tragedy - 16, at present - presumably 26 Alice (Alice) Baskerville - Physically 14 Cheshire - presumably from 3 months to 1 year Shelley Rainsworth - 15 Year Old Past - 28-29, currently 44 Cheryl Rainsward - 52-two-year-old Past - 16, 45-year-old Past - 22 15-year-old Past - 52, now - 67-68 Rufus Barma - 52-two-year-old Past - 16, 15-year-old Past - 22, 15-year-old Pas - 52, now - 67 Calum Lunette - 52-year-old Past - by sight, 19-20, 45-year-old Past - presumably, 26-27, 15-year-old Past - presumably 55-56, now - presumably 80-81 Isla Yura - 38 Oscar Vessalius - 10 year old Past - 35, now - 45 Zai Vessalius - 10 year old Past - 39, now - 49 Elliot Nightrey - up to the case in the crevices, with Eliot - 14, now - 16 Leo Baskerville - up to the case in the crevices, with Eliot - 14, now - 16 Arthur Barma - 30 Miranda Barma - 26 Ada Vessalius - 18

HUMONGOUS Gallery Of Mopar Readers Rides!
The results are in and the photos sent in by Mopar Muscle readers around the world are awesome. From the get-go, we got piles of packages of pristine Pentastars and at times we thought the deluge would never end. When the June 17, 2017 deadline finally arrived, we had amassed well over 100 entries, proving that at the end of the day, print magazines still rule, and getting on the newsstand trumps being buried in a Facebook feed any day. Disagree? Next time you go to a show, see how many cars display posters with magazine stories of their car in print.
If you sent in pix of your pride and joy and followed our simple guidelines, there’s a 98 percent chance your car made it into the story. That said, we had to make some tough decisions at times, such as limiting the number of cars submitted per reader to just two. (Yes, we know some of you are prodigious collectors!) There were also technical reasons some didn’t get in, like you forgot to hit the “burn” button on your cd, or you forgot to submit a tech sheet with a signed affidavit attesting you were the photographer. (And while we’re at it, at least one of you doesn’t know which way you want to spell your own name.) One person even sent in their entry two weeks after the deadline. Sorry pal! You had over five months to get it together!
Some of the images are truly breathtaking, making it hard to pick the best. What we noticed is that some of you are quite adept at expressing the shape, stance, and personality of your Mopars. This is not uncommon. You may have drawn Mopars as a bored kid sitting in math class, or you may have spent hundreds of hours smoothing body panels for paint—the fact is, you know the lines that drive you crazy, and you found a way to succinctly capture that. Thanks for taking the time to show us—through your eyes—what you see when you look at your machine.
In the end though, we had to go with the amazing work of 40-year-old Brian Turney (San Diego, CA), who knocked us over with pix of his 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. Brian has apparently been paying rapt attention to some of the best automotive photographers on the planet, as he combined his eye for detail, composition, and lighting with competencies in lensmanship and photo illustration. Congratulations to Brian on a job well done. We hope he enjoys his grand prize of $800 worth of Auto Meter Custom Shop gauges!
Grand Prize: Auto Meter Custom Shop Gauges
Until recently, only the most lavishly equipped machines on the show car circuit had one-off instrumentation. Then Auto Meter came up with a great idea: set up a custom shop for gauges so that anybody could get exactly what they want. The Auto Meter Custom Shop lets customers design their own gauges with unique color faces, ticking, pointers, cover glass, fonts, bezels, and lighting. If it’s part of a gauge, the Auto Meter Custom Shop can do it for you. After logging on to the Auto Meter Custom Shop website, download the Custom Shop configurator, and start picking out your gauges with all the features you want. As you build your dream gauge package, the gauges take shape right on the screen. You can try out several different designs, save them for future reference, or compare them. You can even print them out and try them in your car before ordering. And all while you’re building your virtual gauges, the cost is updated and displayed with every revision. You’ll also be quite surprised how affordable it is; when compared to a standard set of catalog gauges, it’s only a few extra bucks. Once you order them, they’ll show up at your door in a beautiful handcrafted wood box. They look so nice, you won’t even want to put them in your car!
WINNER!
2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 | Brian Turney; San Diego, CA “Pam The Demon Wagon” is the name Brian Turney—an IT manager from San Diego—has given to his 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. Brian has been a Mopar guy ever since he was four months old, which coincides with his parents buying a new 1977 Dodge Aspen station wagon. That car would later accompany him to college almost two decades later. His current car, the SRT8 Magnum, is the Aspen wagon’s spiritual incarnation. Brian writes: “In 2014, I was driving down the Coast Highway in San Diego and I ended up behind a Dodge Magnum SRT8. Memories of my Aspen wagon came back to me. I decided it was time to get another wagon and started shopping for one. I found one on Auto Trader being sold by a private seller. During the test drive, I was hooked. After coming to an agreement on price, I took one last look at her in the garage as I walked away. That’s when I saw the license plate frame, which said ‘Kimi’s Hemi.’ This was the exact car I had seen a few weeks prior on the Coast Highway! It was meant to be.” Brian has kept the 425hp 6.1L Hemi all stock, except for a Borla exhaust.
On the photography side of things, Brian is a bit of a self-professed nerd. Besides driving his SRT8, Brian loves photography, and has put his Canon 5D Mark II and L-Series zoom lens to good use. On the post side, Brian uses Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to amp up the emotion and deepen the mystery. We would put his photography and Photoshop chops on par with our best contributors—our only gripe (and it’s a small one) being that he needs to increase his depth of field and lower the ISO (to reduce noise) just a tad.

13 Ways To Fail At The Mopar Muscle Photo Contest
From month to month, we typically feature cars that are extraordinary in some manner. Highlighting the best of the breed—whether that’s for customization, speed, rarity, ingenuity, or the perseverance of its owner—is the goal in light of the fact that we typically only have the resources to feature between 24 and 36 cars each year. That means a lot of folks don’t get into the magazine. To level the playing field and give the typical Mopar owner a chance, we’ve created the Photo Contest, which places the emphasis on your photography, not your car-building or income-earning prowess. We’ve lowered the bar so that theoretically at least everybody with decent eyesight and a smartphone can participate. Nevertheless, some find it difficult to hold a cellphone camera level and get the entire car in the shot. To keep guys on the right track, we even provided a list of photo tips to follow when shooting a car for a magazine. Those tips can be found in our original call-out introducing the Photo Contest here [Get Mopar Muscle Magazine Win Auto Meter Gauges]. Naturally, Mopar guys can be a stubborn breed. Who among us hasn’t laughed heartily while tossing out the instructions for installing or assembling an expensive piece of equipment? The same thing happened here. Forthwith, enjoy the failures depicted below, and please don’t take it too personally if you find your photo!
1. Chop the front (or back) of the car off. Heaven forbid you take a few steps backward to get the whole thing in.
2. Cars are like cattle, and are in their element driving through the pasture. Show them grazing on grass.3. Shoot into the sun with harsh back lighting and plenty of lens flare.
3. Don’t give the subject visual room to breathe. Crop the photo right to the edge.
4. Make large, strange objects grow out of the roof of the car. Helicopters, tanks, totem poles, flags—let ’em know Armageddon is coming!
5. Don’t wipe the pocket lint and sweat off your cellphone camera’s lens before you shoot. That would take too much time.
6. Looking for a large enough piece of pavement to shoot a car is such a hassle. Just roll it halfway off the road.
7. Turn it into a selfie and get your own shadow in the photo.
8. Tilt the camera at a crazy angle, then crop it so we can’t put the horizon straight again. Because keeping your lunch in your stomach is really overrated.
9. Make all your best shots vertical in the presumption it’s going to be the main cover of the magazine.
10. Drive your car into the swamp, or at least get the tires soggy at the edge. Again, this is a completely natural environment for a Mopar.
11. Crop the photo so flat, it can only be viewed through the rear window of a new Camaro.
12. Destroy a really great photo by setting the windows at weird openings, or leaving the quarter windows up on a convertible.
13. Spend 30 seconds taking your cellphone shots in harsh midday light, then spend half a day triple-wrapping your photo cd in bubble plastic, printing giant 8×10 pix at Staples, assembling your tech sheet and story in a hefty scrapbook, then pack it all carefully in a giant box with half a roll of packing tape.
