🚨 Vulnerability post!🚨 A few days ago I had someone tell me that they don’t listen to my stories because they don’t need To hear motivation in their daily life... I know that this comment was made with the best of intentions… but all that I heard was; I don’t value the content that you share. Maybe that is not what was intended but for individuals like me, who are constantly working on quieting our inner self doubt, we sometimes hear words in a different way... Unfortunately I took that comment just a little bit further (because that is what I do) and I allowed it to convince me that I was not of any value. Not only to them, but that my words could never be of value to ANYONE. Sharing my vulnerabilities is not an easy thing to do. I still have a TON of anxiety just thinking about pushing that share button and sometimes it causes me to not post anything for days… but here’s the thing, I don’t share because I want to, I share because it is important to inspire others and let them know that they are not alone when they experience struggle. I still need to SHOW UP. Maybe not for that one person who doesn’t need to hear it, but for the one person who is having a bad day. Or for that one girl who is experiencing self doubt. Or maybe that person who feels as though they need to stay quiet. THAT is who I need to show up for. It’s time to start giving yourself the accountability to show up for others, even when you cant show up for yourself. Its time to stop hiding your voice because one person doesn’t value what you have to say.
