He watches you, notices the great effort you put in to care for him. It's obvious you don't know of his past or his crimes. You don't even know he's alive (somewhat). You fascinate him. You make him feel special, wanted. Something he hasn't felt in a long time. He comes to admire you, doing little things behind your back as appreciation

You lose your keys? You find them in the palm of the unmoving animatronic. A coworker says something hurtful? They won't be coming back any time soon. One night, after a particularly bad day you walk into the room they keep him. You break down crying. It was horrible. Springtrap watches you as you sob silently. You just needed a break. He debates in his head on what to do. Should he risk it and comfort his favorite caretaker? Or should he just leave you in ignorance and protect himself.

When you feel a hand ghost your shoulder you jump, startled. As you turn your heart leaps to your throat. Springtrap stares into your eyes silently. A gruff, low voice whispers to you. Telling you it's alright. His paw gently wiping your tear away as he wraps you in a hug.
