really loving that estinien is just "wol 2" at this point. he finally learned how to cope in healthy ways and accepted a support group and now he's just doing whatever he wants. he goes on an adventure just because he feels like it. he's fighting stuff and using his draconic-level strength for good. he might not always have context for whats going on but he's down to help. he's making connections in his own weird ways. he's out here eating a lot of things and sightseeing and enjoying himself.

7.2 minor wol characterization spoilers (cutscenes after MSQ trial)

when you call the team via linkpearl to give them the download on everything that has happened with sphene and the simulant and calyx and preservation, y'shtola, alisaie, and erenville respond in ways that suggest the warrior of light is not the kind of person who usually initiates calls, to the point where getting an unexpected call from the WoL might be cause for some alarm. alphinaud's response doesn't suggest the same thing, but that might just be because he's the only one in the group with sufficient tact not to immediately point out when someone does something uncharacteristic. alternately, maybe it's because he just assumes that he's always managing to catch the warrior of light just before they would've called him for the post-mission linkpearl update call (a type of call alphinaud initiates with the wol fairly often), instead of the others' assumption that the wol simply wouldn't call of their own accord.

that said the idea that the warrior of light almost never calls anyone but somehow manages to carry on a socially normal phone correspondence with alphinaud is pretty funny to me so i am immediately adopting it

some ii warrior cats designs! in order they're yin-yang, test tube, fan, paintbrush, lightbulb and marshmallow! this is an idea that's been sitting in my head for a few months so i'm excited to finally share it. my idea is that fan, or fern in this au, starts off as a kittypet who excitedly watches over the clans and he is found out by the leader (probably mephone4? who knows yet) who lets him join as an apprentice (he's about 7 moons/7 months at this point). blazepaw (they're all around the same age) is super put off by the idea with a kittypet joining the clan but keeps it civil as the newly named sparkpaw makes quick friends with their friends lightpaw and thistlepaw. also mallowtail will end up running away with apple (haven't decided on a warrior name for her yet, maybe applestem?) to become a kittypet, where she will take on the name marshmallow if yall are interested in this please let me know because i'd be happy to share more!

i was struggling with what drip to wear for this season since i haven't done anything the past 2 years (holy shit it'll be 3 years in february since i first started playing ffxiv) so whatever it was had to be PERFECT. at first i was gonna go with something involving the starlight tunic but then i saw a random glam with the skallic cap and i was like: HOLY SHIT THE NUTCRACKER. so nutcracker!gravy and rat king!aymeric it was TEEHEE
