I'd like to thank my Mom, All Might, my friends, and especially my wife for who I've become. My Mom has really done a lot for me growing up: protecting, encourage, and just always caring for me. All Might has kinda been that father figure for me when my Dad was away. My friends have shown me what it's like to work together and really be part of a heart. And my wife? Haha...I can't thank her enough for all the times she's been right by my side, even before we were together. Nothing I can say or do will ever be enough to express how much she means to me."

“Nikolai..” you begin, moving a step closer. He doesn’t move, but you see his jaw tighten, a muscle twitching. “What are you telling me?”

“I swore an oath.” He replies quietly—almost desperately—and goes on. “To protect you. To honor you and I—” You watch him take in a deep breath, your heart racing. “I cant do that anymore. Not when I disrespect you every single moment in your presence.”

Your mouth dries.

“You’ve never disrespected me.” You insist softly and he gives you a sad, defeated smile.

“I disrespect you every time I look at you.”

“Nikolai—how—”

But I have to say the dialogue between reader and Manjiro when they are having their heart to heart on the deck during the middle of the night is so special to me. It's my favourite moment so far. I kinda got lost in that chapter just a little bit!

What have you been finding frustrating with writing this chapter?

This is a good question because boyyy have I been struggling. I think my block stems from the fact that this next chapter is kind of filler? It's like a transition chapter into the next pivotal scene/chapter. And it's just really got me stumped. It's half done I'd say? But the next half is a lot of dialogue and it's fairly important so I want to do it right!

In June, I found my full passion for drawing again! It started off with many small doodles that I've yet to post, because I haven't scanned and colored them in! I have a giant stack of paper of just HTTYD stuff! Fan fiction, head canons, comic strips, tons of stuff!

My biggest happiness has been bringing these two back together. Snotface Snotlout and Mewgull! Literally one of the first plot devices I made when I first read the books in '07 *joints crack in glee*

Honestly, Gumboil was a huge help in finding my sea legs. He's a simple design and easily adaptable to my style!

I even got an animation out of him!

It didn't start out with Gumboil though! I naturally wanted to start drawing my wolf characters first! It's what I knew how to draw and something was bothering me....MADGUTS WAS A WOLF WARRIOR AND I NEVER DREW HIM YET I HAD HIS DESIGN IN MY HEAD FOR A DECADE! There maybe a 2.0 but this def rocks my socks for now.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures I did. I love how it turned out! Sure the story behind the picture is kind of sad [Hint: takes place around Book 10] but it was my first real (in my heart) success at combining traditional and digital mediums! It's when I decided to give everything a "storybook" feel to it.

Nesta for the trivia game

Ohh this one is interesting let me activate my brain

First impression: It was kind of... weird, how I felt with nesta because I do not hated her and even felt she had some internal range/frustration that she just didn't know how to manage accordingly ( or sjm didn't bothered to flesh out more) but she was verbally abusive of feyre indeed and while reading i wished we knew of the why, why feyre, what happened to make her say things to her like that?

Impression now: Boyyy is even more weird LOL, ACOSF was so messy my god and I hate we kind of lost what the other books gave us about her and hinted at. But ok, coming back to Nesta, I like her a little more (surprisingly) and I do felt for her in some occasions (the way she handled her trauma, the sleeping with strangers without taking care of herself, the alcoholism, the spending money holding a grudge) it was very raw in that part and it was an interesting take on her and how mental illness/low self worth affects someone. That being said, im still waiting for her apology to Feyre and Elain ( her comments of their dad and she being a dog where heavy as hell), im glad she saved Feyre but they 100% still would have this tense bond if they don't fucking talk and Nesta explain to her + elain how she felt all those years knowing she couldn't provide for them and recognize aloud the damage she made on her hatring wage

Favorite moment: I hate how most characters think she was the one who attacked hybern and proceeded to kill him BUT I loved she beheading, loved this kind of team effort with elain it was so good. Also when she used the golden mask, I tought I was gonna get tired of all the girlbossing warrior moments but that was A Moment okey. Gonna say her soft side with cassian got me, they had this wild sex driven attraction but when they cared for eachother and she said "my mate taught me well"? That's the good shit I came for + The "never again, never again" scene

Idea for a story: TO HER TO BE LADY DEATH AGAIN GOD. why the hell she lost so damn cool powers I hate it here give me necromancer nesta again sjm. Also I would love reading something about her and her sisters traveling together for a good while, just getting away from velaris and other people and spending time together, would like nesta collecting books from everywhere

Unpopular opinion: The valkyries thing... it was so cheap tbh, it could had be handled better or you know, not make nesta a warrior but a diplomatic character, I think she would had learned more fluently and manage night court exterior affairs, it would also helped her connect more with feyre, making her see that it is not easy to direct and take care of a whole court and maybe getting the animosity and hate for rhysand dissappear or be presented as them not settling down with their opinions and what each thinked of how things should be done. I also don't understand how she viewed emerie and gwyn as her new sisters like girl you barely know this girls and wherent you wary of everyone who gets close to you not long ago? 😭 it was kind of strange to me, same with her friendship with azriel, it came of thin air with the strand being "they both see eachother and don't judge and they are both feared" nesta wasn't feared like he is??? But ok sjm weird flex

Favorite relationship: as much as I have my complaints about how nessian was handled, I'll give it to them when they have a moment to shine they shine, that's why I can't hate nessian even if acosf was imperfect, she is lady death and him lord of bloodshed he is her knight and she thinks she doesn't deserve him while cass fears to lose her and idc I love it I can excuse their messiness because the good stuff was enough to keep me hooked. I also like some nestaemerie, I feel their friendship was way more genuine than gwyn/nesta, and as I said I hope we get more of archeron sisters bonding we had too little of them but I still root for this dysfunctional sisterhood (I also crackship her with vassa, it could be interesting seeing them interact)

Favorite headcanon: I think nesta can heard/comunicate with the deceased even after losing her powers, I like to think some piece of it is still there deep inside her. I also think she wouldn't marry, I don't see her as the type ( maybe if cassian ask her and seem excited for it? And still I doubt that) I can see her with one child or adopting. Even if I preferred she wasn't a warrior, I think Nesta would be General of NC one day, I see her alongside Cassian directing troops + the Valkyries, she could also be a "professor" in the library for future Valkyries that wants to learn more of battlefield planning, maps, nurses in battle, sword crafting etc. I wanttttt short haired Nesta so bad is a NEED, like I really think she would be the one pulling a sick as fuck haircut. I also think she would win more scars as time passes and wears them with pride, be by training and in battles ( a scar crossing her lip/eye could be sexy)

In your opinion, what are the bottom aka worst 5 seasons of the skam universe and why do you feel that way?

Oh boyyy you’re really setting me up to piss everyone off. OK I’m not gonna put this in any particular order because it’s not something that I can really do. All of my least favorite seasons are kind of like apples and oranges because they all have their own reasons. Which I will lay out.

Wtfock season 4. I mean, no explanation is really needed on this. It’s objectively the worst season of skamverse. However, it’s not actually my least favorite personally and I will lay out some reasons. Why it’s bad: they had a girl who was racist as a main character. They also did nothing to actually make her relatable to a general audience because she was a model and Instagram influencer. Romi is a weak actress. Now, I’m actually going to be fair and say that she is not the worst actress I’ve ever seen in my life or anything. But she is way too weak to handle her own season. I thought that she was OK in season five but that’s because she only had a few lines and things were not in her pov. But her acting is weak and it’s made all the more apparent because she is surrounded by what I consider to be the most talented cast in all of skamverse. On top of the racism and having an unrelatable main character played by a weak actress, the season was also just… Boring. And I will actually give a little bit of understanding to the fact that this was done during the height of Covid and there were very strong restrictions but it was still so blahhh. But I actually did a recent rewatch, and removed from the fury of the time that the season was live, I can still appreciate a few things about it. All the actors (other than Romi) do a fantastic job with a crap script. The soundtrack is, as always, fantastic. That’s one thing wtfock can always be counted on for. I liked that Yasmina and Luca both got decent amounts of screentime. I loved the Moyo development and even though Noa deserved SO much better, he really was amazing as Moyo and made the audience love him when as a character he was not always well-liked. I loved seeing Robbe so carefree and happy after he had it so rough. It was so wonderful to see him completely comfortable with himself. Though there were only a few, I loved the sobbe and zoenne moments we got. And I loved that the show didn’t majorly fuck with them and instead allowed them be happy. And I loved seeing Milan. Even though he was used as a sympathetic ear for Kato, it is still kinda in his character to be so and I just really missed him. Yeah that’s it. All of those things can’t make up for how terrible the season was, but I’m someone who tries to see the good in things whenever possible.

España season 3. Hate it. Loathe it. I make no secret about the fact that I am not a fan of Nora Grace. I never have been. She is my least favorite Noora. I find her condescending and off-putting. I don’t think Nicole is that great of an actress either. And I know there are people who are like “but the MESSAGE” and my response is what’s the point of having a message if the season is unbearable to watch? I just couldn’t stand it. Yes, abusive relationships are an important topic. But to take a character and make them spend an entire season in one was not needed. It was frustrating and infuriating to watch Moyo with Kato (don’t get my started on them staying together ugh) but the same went for Nora. I don’t even LIKE Nora, but to make her spend the majority of her screen time with the literal devil was such a disservice to her character. And while I don’t care about Nora and Alejandro, the season made their eventual endgame feel so sloppy and unearned. As a survivor of intimate partner violence, mental and emotional abuse, and sexual assault, that entire season should’ve come with one big trigger warning. And Skam is still meant to have entertainment value, even with its lessons. This season had none. There was no lightness to balance the darkness. It was all hurt and almost no comfort. One or two or even three hell weeks I can handle. But ten? No thanks. I have only watched it once and never will again. The ONLY good part was Viri’s clips. I liked those. Oh and one other thing I liked were the posters of Nora with the shadows on her. But that’s it.

España season 4. This one broke my heart. After Joana, Amira was my favorite character on the show. In some ways, this is one of the worst of my five only because I care so much about the main. So let’s go through it just like Amira did: starting with the trailer. They baited a love triangle with her, Dani, and Kassim. Then it turns out Kassim was gay and they whitewashed Yousef. They spent entirely too much time on the stupid Lucas/Kassim thing. I don’t like Lucas and think the actor is pretty bad, but like what was the point of the storyline to begin with? Seriously why include it?? Which brings me to Dounia, who had great potential but it turns out she only existed to bring Kassim into the storyline. I hated that Amira outed Kassim to Dani. I hated that her big “I cant lie” theme had to do with outing a gay man. We spent a season of watching Amira suffer while simultaneously getting to see everyone else’s happy endings through extra clips. I hated how selfish Cris was too. It’s like they regressed her previous character development. I’m not a huge fan of Cris but I was proud of her growth as a person and s4 (for at least a while) was like bitch you thought. Now let’s move on to Dani. If we must. He is white of course, which is such a shame given the lack of poc actors on españa to begin with. The actor is terrible. Just… so bad. Dani is an asshole. He has no respect for Amira’s beliefs, culture, or boundaries. Younes, Yousef, and Mohammed would NEVER. He talks about her behind her back. He is not even worthy of breathing the same air as her. Which makes it kind of a blessing that they break up and don’t get back together in the end. But also- that is such BULLSHIT. Amira is the only woc on the show and she is also the only one to end up alone. She didn’t get to have the love story she deserved. She easily got the worst Yousef. Her season was cut short by two episodes. Her graduation speech was canceled and we never even got to know what it would’ve said. She spent 3/4 of her season fretting over Lucas/Kassim. She was done dirtier than any other Sana, and I stand by that. Yasmina’s gs was shitty, but at least she had a season devoted to her and not focusing on all the other couples with random gays thrown in for good measure. AND she had an absolute treasure of a man who deserved her. Imane’s season at least delved into the racism she experiences and even though I’m not a fan of Sofiane, she still got her happy ending too. God it was just such a waste. What I did like: Hajar’s acting. She does the shocked face a bit too much sometimes, but she is truly talented and handled her terrible storyline as best she could. And Joana’s clips. She is my fave and I loved getting stuff with her. Crisana’s tiktok shenanigans. And Cris coming out to her mom. And the ending beach scene was lovely. That’s about it.

France and OG s2: I don’t like most noorhelms, but these are undoubtedly the worst. William was so fucking toxic and seeing that romanticized was just awful. And then France saw it and was like “hold my beer” and made Charles even worse. The SA storyline was important, but then it was dropped. And Charles taking his brother’s side…and then making noorhelm and marles get back together and have it be like yay they made it…no thanks. OG had a good soundtrack at least. Idk I rewatched each of them one time and hated it just as much. I don’t have much more to say. They just suck.

Honorable mentions: Austin s1. Marlon sucks and the show was just so cringey. There was such a different vibe compared to the European remakes. And not in a good way. But Shay is amazing and I like the gs, so they had that going for them. And France s4. The gs sucked but I also don’t like Sofiane. Plus too much manon focus and stupid Charles returning (though the scene itself when he rolls up in the motorcycle is still hilarious to me).

And who knows, depending on how the rest of the season goes, Ismail could end up on this list too.

revisiting Free! episode 1

it’s been around 6 years since i first watched Free! It has been a hallmark of me getting into sports animes- which i haven’t left ever since- and fandoms. Free was so vibrant with hilarious cracks, Octopimp’s dub, the fantastic fanart and fanfiction, and of course the shipping wars. this show holds a special place in my mind, it is drenched in nostalgia and i thought it would be fun to rewatch it! without further to do- lets get into it

god i love a good transition, the close up of Haru’s face and besides simply being 10 years older its the excitement and passion hidden behind sullen drawn down eyes and his hair once dancing in the water is left limp and wet metaphorically showing that his passion and love for swimming is gone. there is no more magic

Can you explain why you like mandarin so much?...or for that matter why everyone seems to love him? I haven’t seen this show in years and I just remember no one liked him haha (including me, sorry! 😅)

To be clear, if I saw ANY version of Mandarin in real life, and I have the ability, I’d smack the shit out of him. He’s an asshole.

But as a character... oh boy. Ohhhhhhhh boyyy. He’s got a lot to work with. 

He’s the villain with the second most appearances, right behind Skeleton King himself. He’s known the team for as long as the Alchemist, and ultimately has more history with them, having worked so closely with them for an unknown amount of time, and they remember him.

The story of his betrayal is one that has a lot of potential for theories, stories, and alterations. It’s one of the key points of the monkeys’ past, except unlike the Alchemist’s corruption and the upgrading of the team, we didn’t see it. There was no flashback to showed us how everything boiled over,  no episode dedicated to it. Only Antauri’s explanation. There are a lot of blanks to fill in. Some people like that, some people don’t. I personally love the freedom it grants me.

His association with the fan-favorite (i think he’s the fan favorite, idk but the show likes him) Antauri also helps him rise to the top. His involvement in Nova’s temper solidifies him as something that still affects her. According to a line from the finale, Otto was his closest ally. What does that mean? I have no idea!

Ignoring his backstory and the fact he’s SUPER IMPORTANT. Let’s look at his various iterations. He has something for everybody.

The fandom has injected so much into Mandarin that it’s impossible to find a niche he hasn’t filled. I’ve seen him as everything from Heartless Sadist to Loving Mother. It's WILD.

uhhumn!!! it has been!! a while since i stopped taking ballet ngl!!! about three years or so :( there were. multiple reasons for that. but before i stopped i was counting on going at least semi-pro same as u and i was real serious abt it ;-; so! i’m Sure i’m still qualified to bitch about it!! (i was thinking,, about,,maybe adding on to ur post, too? if u didn’t mind?)

my Personal ballet opinions: russian pointe is best shoes but gaynor mindens are more comfortable. pique turns r also best, adagio sucks but its so satisfying if ur properly warmed up, and i really miss garbage pants 😔 russian method is better than balanchine but i just say that b/c i took russian for longer and it threwwww me off so much when i went to another studio for the first time and they had an entirely different set of arms lmao 

what else. the nutcracker is iconic and the best dances from it r the harlequin doll and marzipan. im very mad b/c i was gonna go see it this winter but everything’s still closed in nyc. i don’t know where i’d be without icy hot. not ballet specifically but i ADORE bob fosse’s choreography sm. i thinnkk my favorite variation i’ve done is the one from sylvia? w all the backwards shit? but my favorites are kitri from don quixote or esmarelda i think. basic but also so good. like?? with the tambourine?? i lose my SHIT every TIME.  however i do Not have that extension anymore lol
