and on our agenda is JonJay. How many times have I told myself not to go under comments on Tumblr, but this time misfortune took me by surprise. It was about Bernard, I decided to go into the comments, which was my main mistake. The author of the post wrote that Jay is worse than Bernard, since he can control the minds of other people (I don’t remember this at all, I know about his ability to pass through walls and any solid objects) and how Jon can meet with him. God, there was no explanation, but if this person meant that Jay forced Jon to fall in love with him by penetrating his mind, then I'm leaving this planet. How blind do you have to be when you read a comic book so as not to read that Jon agreed to help Jay himself, since people needed help. And he didn’t fall in love with him right away either, rather after Jay met the superfamily, like, yes. I’m still It's still killing me that people think Jay is the worst option for Jon, although if you ask my opinion, they couldn't find each other better. Jay literally exposed himself for the sake of Jon, what else do they need for them to believe in his sincerity. By the way, they don’t have any thoughts about the setup from Nicky to Damian. Sorry, but it still really annoys me, like ,how so. I'm still wondering why people love Bernad and Nika more than Jay. Maybe you have an answer, I don't know. (I love them too, but this injustice is killing me)

Anon, I get you so much. I answered something like this before but I love ranting and the Jon Kent tag is filled with Jay hate so I'll do it again. The reason why people hate Jay is:

Racism and Orientalism

People think Jon should've ended up with Damian

He's associated with Jon's age-up

Potential covert biphobia

None of the Jay haters have actually read SOKE. The 'mind control' rumors started spreading and becaus basically 70% of tumblr DC fans haven't actually touched more than 3 issues of the comic books and out of context panels in their lives, they don't know that Jay's NEVER 'seduced' Jon. Which is, by the way, a classic offensive stereotype assigned to Asian characters; that Asian characters, especially ones who are into men are all seducers. This is primarily applied to women but now its being applied with Jay.

It's funny because Jon WAS affected to be attracted by an actual telepathic character; Imra, aka Saturn Girl.

And this is where the biphobia comes in because Saturn Girl dated Jon, it was a disaster fire relationship in a book that mischaracterized both of them.It's implied that Imra accidentally used her powers to make Jon be into her, but NO ONE talks about it because it's a seemingly heterosexual relationship. Also she's a white blond girl. It's far easier to target the sparse Asian rep we get.

Nika and Bernard also don't get as much hate because of this reason. People can talk around it all they want, but they are more loved and accepted because they are white. If either of them were POC, they'd be getting the same treatment.

The DamiJon shippers for some reason got it into their heads that Damian x Jon is going to be a thing and now they're mad that they're headcanons aren't real. Like I can't even be kind about this because these assholes have been nothing but racist, clogging up Jon's tag by not tagging anything right, and have also attacked actual content creators to the point they've had to respond to them to tell them to STOP.

Nothing will get these people to like Jay, because they don't actually care about comics, storytelling, the messages these stories bring, the characters, or anything really. They just care that their headcanon vision of Jon's gone and it isn;t easy to project their "sunshine baby" tropes on Jon anymore since now he's actually got adventures of his own outside of Damian. And those adventures happen to be with his boyfriend Jay.

Mullivans headcanons because I said so:

- Piers and Jake are enemies to lovers in the best kind of slow burn way. If you don’t believe me read Raccoon City: Redux on AO3 T R U S T M E

- I can’t decide if I head-canon Piers as gay or bi, they’re both kind of fitting. That’s makes sense in my head because I can totally see Piers crushing in a girl that can kick his ass, just as much as a guy. Though I feel like he’s had more boyfriends, and with being in the BSAA this did not help XD

- I head canon Jake as Demi/Bi. Jake grew up with a in and off message about love and what he wanted out of it. Because if that, he started messing around slowly figuring out he was into men and women but what he wanted deep down was someone he could truly fall for. Because of that he’s only vulnerable with a select people, such as Sherry. Homie just wants to find someone to cuddle and love :3

- Like IMAGINE if Jake’s partner for his campaign was Piers and they put effort into them-UGGGHH😩👌🏾.The heart to heart scenes would be TOP TIER. The character growth, the relationship growth. They should’ve hired me for re6.

- Anyways :3

- The teasing, the cute moments, the connection would’ve been so cute.

- Like Capcom made two characters that are literally junior versions of their two most ICONIC characters and they didn’t do ANYTHING with them?? You made Wesker Junior and Redfield Junior they just said, yeah they don’t need to interact :=3

- I feel like Piers took a little while longer than Jake to fall. A lot of authors, especially Ao3 authors have a common detail in Piers where he is more resilient to falling in love in general. (Which is a character detail I cannot even begin to go over)

- But besides that point, Piers was definitely the “Oh my god I’m in love” person of the relationship.

- Jake on the other hand-

- Lord have mercy

- Remember how I said enemies to lovers? Yeah homeboy was killing that trope.

- The constant teasing, jokes, etc, etc, etc.

- Piers could not catch a break (But deep down he kinda loved it.)

- My favorite thing for them is how Puppy could have started out as a insult and then it gradually started to being a cute nickname Jake just calls him and Piers gets used too over time.

Like read these lines with Jake’s voice in your head and you’ll see what I mean;

- “Awww, poor puppy.” (Mocking)

- “ You got a plan puppy?”(General)

- “Hey, don’t worry about it puppy..”(Cute, assuring.”

- “Cute puppy…” (😏)

- Like AAAHH

- The moment Piers and Jake become a couple they are ride or die. No questions asked.

- I’m talking standing up for each other, grabbing each other before one of them gets hit, hugging, Jake grabbing Piers hand while Piers sleeps.

- As the relationship brings to grow and they start become friend as well as partners on the field, Jake unconsciously grabs Piers’ hand to keep him safe, similarly to what Jake did in his campaign with Sherry.

- I once thought of this heartfelt moment while they’re getting into the friends stage where Piers isn is just slowly giving up during a mission, and then Jake starts to realize this and he’s in his head like:

- “Wait, he’s sax, I don’t like that.”

- “I have to make him smile.”

- Hear me out, picture this:

- Despite the area around him in ruins, Jake ignores it all the moment he see’s the look of disappointment and despair in Piers eyes. The hope in Piers’ body is draining.

- Piers goes onto talking about how he’s failing to do his job. How he can’t handle it, finishing off that he’s not enough.

- Jake is bewildered at this because the entire time he’s seen Piers, he’s stubborn, smart, and importantly determined. Honestly he was keeping Jake from giving up.

- It made Jake realize that he didn’t want to see Piers vulnerable like this. Not because he didn’t care, but he was worried in a way he’s never been before.

- Jake gets a soft look in his eyes and grabs Piers’ hand talking him not to sell himself short. That he’s doing an amazing job despite how at odds they are compared to the world. That they probably wouldn’t be alive without him.

- and the end it all off, Jake, without even being aware of it. softly tilts Piers’ chin up and looks in his eyes and tells him “I think you great, Piers.”

- Piers’s eyes widen and bit. They are the replaced with a soft gaze and he smiles softly. That’s the first time in the mission Jake said his name.

- IMAGINE IF THAT WAS IN THE GAME😩💀‼️‼️

Summary: Jisoo gets the diagnosis for her ankle

October 2022

„I´m sorry Jisoo-ssi but it looks like you won´t be part of practice for quite a while!”

That´s something Jisoo didn´t like to hear at all! The doctor looked at her sympathetically.

“Could you explain how that happened exactly?” he inquired and looked at the tablet in his hands.

Not wanting to go into any details, Jisoo choose the short version of the accident.

“I had to jump of a horse and landed wrong! Couldn´t walk properly ever since and my ankle is twice its size than it´s supposed to be.”

“Well the x-ray you got done shows us that the bone is fine. There isn´t a fracture or any tears. I suspect the problem lays with the ligaments, they seem to be severely overstretched which is the reason you can´t walk without pain. The swelling is normal and should go down over the next few days. Should that not be the case I’d suggest coming back here. Just put a lot of ice on it to help reduce the swelling! I will also prescribe a brace for your foot, only to hold it in place and prevent that you twist it again! You can try going without it in about 5-6 weeks and start slow with exercising after.”

Jisoo nodded. She didn´t like it but if she wanted to get back to dancing she had to listen to what the doctor said. Eunsook took the prescription and the doctor left.

“Do you want to tell the company or should i?” she asked Jisoo.

“I´ll take Channie-oppa and you the company?” the girl suggested her manager and shrugged.

They left the room with Eunsook helping Jisoo walking. On the way to the van they passed the pharmacy where Jisoo could pick up the brace.

She put it one and could already feel a bit relief since her ankle got stabilized again, but at the same time it was bit uncomfortable since it was wrapped tightly around her leg!

Jisoo connected her earphones to her phone and played some music to calm her down. Immediately the melody of Hyolyn´s Say my name started up and the girl hummed along.

She went to check her KKT messages as she had been ignoring them for the time being, not having the energy to answer any of them. Most of them were from the group chat with the members, one from her mother and one from Hongjoong.

Jisoo answered her moms, updating her on what the doctor said and went to check Hongjoongs.

“We are at the company. I think the boys are in the studio just so you know where to search.” Eunsook advised when the Van pulled into the garage of their destination.

“Thank you Unnie!”

They parted ways after to driver let them out and Jisoo went to search for her members.

She found them in one of the big studios, since they started recording for their next comeback already.

The brace on her foot was the first thing the boys noted when she entered.

“Jiji! You´re back. What did the doctor say?” Hyunjin asked and pulled the girl onto his lap.

The producer left the room to give them a few minutes of privacy.

“Overstreched Ligaments but now damage to the bone itself. Doctor wants me to wear the brace for the next 5-6 weeks to stabilize the ankle! The swelling should go down soon and i´m supposed to ice it. Which means…”

“No practice for you!” Minho continued for her and looked at the others sorrowfully.

Their upcoming tour wasn´t far away and if he heard correctly then it meant she wouldn´t be able to perform with them. The thought of Jisoo participating while having been banned to the chair made her mood turn sour. Well more than it already was.

“Do you have to wear it at night too? The youngest asked carefully.

Jisoo nodded. She didn´t want to but it didn´t help. She wanted to go on tour and not stay back at home!

A piece of us | KSJ - chapter 2

Synopsis: Things escalates as your husband keeps distancing himself.

  You stretch, your whole body feels sore, as you wake up in the same hotel bed for the fourth morning in a row. No messages from Seokjin. You don´t really know why you check, yet it´s the same disappointment today as yesterday. As much as you want to make things right, you know things aren´t remotely close enough to alright to be fixed, and so you force yourself to wait; to be patient.

Today will be the last day of work before the weekend, you remind yourself as you get ready and summon enough strength to actually get out the door. The receptionist smiles knowingly as you pass him on your way out, and you wonder of he might know that your life is currently falling apart.

No, you promise yourself; how could he possibly know anything, you´re just paranoid.

As soon as you walk into your office your mind gets swiped away, all your focus is on the multiple tasks at hand. Together with your coworker, Hoseok, you work tirelessly until your lunchbreak, and even then, your keep on drawing new sketches for looks, thinking up new ways to combine what you know into a new style.

Just as you´re eating the last of your lunch, your phone rings.

Your first thought is that Seokjin is calling.

You don´t dare to look, partly because you know you´ll be disappointed if you it isn´t him calling, partly because you have no idea what to do if it is him. What if he wants to meet up? Or what if he´s calling angry and wanting to argue? It´s been a couple days since you talked to him, and you wonder what the status between the two of you are now. Has anything changed? Has he made up his mind about the two of you?

More and more people turn their heads when your phone keeps vibrating on the table. Quickly, like pulling off the band aid, you pick it up.

Min Yoongi calling.

You sigh and roll your eyes, realizing that your predictions were right: you are very disappointed.  Yoongi, Seokjin´s best friend, and your best friend´s husband, never calls unless he´s in a pinch at work or he want to annoy you into making Seokjin go on a weekend trip with him.

“Hey?”

“_____?” his voice stressed, letting you know he´s calling for a work matter. Yoongi works in personal styling, and often calls you for help, you being one of his contacts in fashion production. “Do you have time to make a quick trip to my office on your way home, perhaps?”

“Sure, Yoongi. Should I bring anything?”

“No, no. Just… Thank you,” he says. “Bye.”

  Min Yoongi is sitting by his desk when you walk into his office, calmly typing something on his computer, which makes you confused. You hesitate in the doorway at this unusual scene. Normally when he calls you, he´s in a frenzy by the time you make it to him, yet there he is, peacefully tapping the keyboard.

“Yoongi?” you ask, drawing his attention.

“_____, thanks for coming! Close the door and take a seat,” he keeps typing.  You do as he asked, sitting down on the couch in the corner of the office. The wheels on his chair squeak as he rolls himself next to you. “How are you doing?”

“I´m alright? What did you need help with?”

His hand goes to the nape of his neck, eyes trailing all over your face, and he sighs. “Don´t be mad at me, but…”

“What?”

You give him a smile, waiting for him to go on.

“The thing is… Jin called me last night and told me what happened between the two of you. I think you-”

“Don´t,” you tell him, voice sharp. You hold up your hand. “I don´t want to hear this. Not from you.”

“_____. You should hear this. Jin said he-”

“If he said anything I should know he can come and talk to me himself.”

“It´s not like that. He doesn´t want to tell you this.” Yoongi´s eyes are watching you as he talks. “He doesn´t have the strength to…”

“Then why are you telling me this? If Jin actually told you what happened between us, you know how bad it is between us right now. I don´t want to make things worse by talking about him behind his back.”

“You really love him, don´t you?” Yoongi ponders, eyebrows going down.

“Of course.”

“_____, Jin thinks you´re cheating on him.”

The words are easy enough to understand but you still can´t comprehend them. Ever since you met your husband eight years ago you haven´t been able to think about anyone else romantically, and to you it seemed like your husband knew this. It´s not like he has ever doubted your love and devotion to him before. Then again, you had never doubted his determination to be with you before he mentioned a divorce to you. Does he really think you would cheat in him? Ever?

“What?” Yoongi places a hand on yours.

“Jin told me you´re pregnant and that you´ve only had sex once during the last two months. Clearly, he doesn´t understand that once is all it takes to make you pregnant,” he shakes his head and squeeze your hand in an attempt to comfort you. “Seokjin was very convinced you´ve slept with someone else while the two of you have been fighting, got pregnant and seduced him to sleep with him just so you could play it off as being his. I tried to stop him, but he… He signed the divroce papers last night and told his assistant to mail them to you.”

And just like that end of you and Seokjin is here. It won´t matter what you tell him now, he has already made up his mind. He is willing to divorce you. Things won´t be the same even if the two of you make up, because you will always know he is capable of leaving you. And willing to, apparently. How could you ever be with him now, after he refused to fight for you. Refused to talk to you.

This whole thing was just a huge misunderstanding and if Seokjin would talk to you this would have been solved by now. Instead, he just blamed you and let his imagination and bad thoughts take over. He really should have asked you instead of just assuming things.

“Well fuck,” you breathe out, trying your best not to cry. You push everything back. Ignoring your feelings, you smile to Yoongi. “Thank you for telling me. I have some papers to sign, then,” you say, standing up, chin high.

“Just go to my house. He´s staying there. Talk to him, make him understand.”

Yoongi doesn´t understand that your feelings are too hurt to beg your husband to stay with you. How could he understand? If your husband is so willing to let you go you should go along with it. Making him stay with you won´t make anything better, and you promised him you would respect his decision – not that you would ever imagine him actually divorcing you.

“I´ll head to the hotel. You tell him to call me, I can´t fix this if he doesn´t want to.”

As you walk out you can hear Yoongi standing up, but you leave before he can say anything.

Despite your sinking appetite you pick up a sandwich on your way home, aware that have to take care of both yourself and the growing baby inside. You want to be able to say you´re taking care of yourself to your obstetrician tomorrow.

The rest of the night you relax, trying your best to ignore the nagging thoughts about your relationship and how you won´t be with Seokjin anymore, decide watch trash-TV to make yourself laugh instead. The last thing you want to do is to waste your time crying over something out of your control. You fall asleep at the sound of yet another fight between some random wives breaking out.

  You look at the name on the phone, debating whether to call. He is the dad, even if he doesn´t think so himself, and should be involved in the process. He hasn´t said if he wants to be in the baby´s life yet, you realize.

Still…

You hit dial.

It rings a couple of times before it goes to voice dial. You don´t know how to react to your husband, who has always answered your calls, blatantly ignoring your call.

When you called the obstetrician to set up the appointment you had to use the Kim card, saying you and your husband, Kim Seokjin, would pay a lot of money for her to open her office for you on a Saturday. She accepted, probably under the pretense that she would meet the Kim Seokjin. What will the obstetrician say when you enter her office without your husband?

Before you can think too much of it you grab your coat and purse and walk out of your room.  The world seems quieter today. There isn´t as much traffic, the people seem more content as they walk in a slow pace, and the sun shines down between the tall buildings. The walk that would normally take you about ten minutes, takes you twenty minutes in your slow pace.

The office is, as expected, empty as you walk in. Before you make it to the couch in the end of the waiting room a woman in a dress and a doctor coat approaches, a clipboard in hand and a wide smile on her face.

“_____?” You nod. “Alright, should we head on in or are we waiting for your husband?” she hesitates, looking at you expectantly.

“Oh, no. It´s just me today,” you say.

“Alright, follow me,” she covers her disappointment quickly and leads you into her office.

She draws some blood before setting up the ultrasound. She smiles widely and shows you the screen, and honestly, you barely even see it, but she seems happy, so you smile gratefully. When it´s all done she tells you she´ll call you if anything seems out of the ordinary with the blood tests. As you walk out of the office with two copies of the ultrasound scan you´re sure to thank her.

As you place the scans in your purse you pick up your phone. You almost trip when you see the missed call from Seokjin ten minutes ago.  Immediately you call him back, not thinking about the fact that you´re standing on the street. It rings once. Twice. Thrice.

“Hello, give me a second to get away,” your husband´s voice comes through the phone. With your heart hammering in your chest, you wait. “God, people really don´t know what they´re doing.” You don´t know what to say so you just stay quiet. “_____? You there?”

You nod. “Yes. I´m… Here…”

“I was thinking…” he says slowly, pausing after. Thinking about what? You? The baby? The divorce? “We should probably talk. Can you meet me for lunch? Or maybe dinner?” he asks slowly.

“Yes, we probably should talk but can you find the time?” even though you try, you can´t really hold back the comment.

“What about you come home tonight? I´ll order some food and we can talk in peace. How about six?”

“Fine. I´ll expect you around eight, then.”

“Can you not be a petty little…” he cuts himself off and you hear him taking a deep breath. “I´ll see you tonight,” he says expectantly.

“I´ll bring my pen,” you hang up before he can react to your statement.

  Your mind is blank. None of you speak, you´re only glancing at each other every so often while eating dinner. For some reason you have decided that you´re not going to be the first one to speak, and apparently Seokjin has made the same promise to himself.

You´re both done with dinner when Seokjin speaks, his voice deep and slow.

“How are things?”

You almost want to use his words against him and tell him to stop pretending he cares but swallow it down.

“I´m… We´re fine,” you emphasize, placing your hand over your stomach.

“That´s good. I´m glad to hear.”

It´s quiet again.

Then.

“I talked to Yoongi,” you say.

“Ah. What did he say?”  

“He said you got drunk and told him about your… your suspicions about me.” You watch as Seokjin catches on, opens his mouth to say something then changes his mind and closes his mouth again. “He also told me you signed the divorce papers, which is why I just want to make one thing clear - I didn´t cheat on you, never have, never will.”

“Where have you been staying these last couple of days?” Seokjin questions, clearly insinuating that you´ve spent them with someone else. You deflate, realization hitting.

“Fuck, Seokjin. You have already decided not to believe me, haven´t you?”

“It´s just a question. A question you´re not answering, I might add,” he adds calmly.

“What´s the point? You´re never going to believe me.”

“Can you try to understand my worry? We sleep together once and that makes you pregnant, yet when we tried for months on months, nothing? Something isn´t adding up, and I´m just tired of ignoring it.” There is venom in his voice. You have heard this voice before, but never directed towards you.

“What do you want me to do? Take a paternity test? Will that be proof enough?” you bite back, not even thinking.

“That could be a start.”

“A start? What will you do when it comes back and says it´s yours?”

“If it turns out the baby is mine, I will take responsibility and support it,” he says casually, swiveling the glass in his hand.

“This baby is yours; I know that much. If you can´t take my word for it I will ask the obstetrician for a paternity test.”

“Have you been to the doctors yet? Do you know for sure you´re pregnant?”

You were prepared for this question, just not this harsh of a variant… You look through your purse for a couple of seconds before you find the sonogram, placing it down on the table in front of Seokjin.

“Here, meet our baby,” you say. When you look at your husband he is looking down at the scan, forehead furrowed. “I went earlier today. Tried to call you.”

“You can keep it,” he says, sliding it back to you. “I should probably be honest as well. I know I have my flaws, and you probably know I have this… this habit of disappearing when things become… too much.” With each word his voice deflates, his eyes going to his lap where his hands are intertwined. “You said Yoongi already told you about what I did, but I don´t think he told you everything.”

“There was more than you ending our marriage?”

“Actually…” he sighs. “Yoongi probably told you I was drunk. He told me I should talk to you before I ruined everything between us, and I got angry, so I went out to the club. I drank some more, and I was so out of it by the end,” he covers his face with his hand. “I called my manager and asked if I could leave town a little earlier than planned.”

“Alright, that´s not bad. I mean, it´s not good, but you almost made it sound like you went home with someone else.” You don´t know why want to reassure him it´s fine.

“I know that. The thing is… I´m leaving tomorrow.”

“Oh,” you breathe. Hearing Seokjin is fleeing the country while you´re here, trying your best to fix everything is the last straw. You hoped to stay the night, and have another talk tomorrow – start to fix things before he has to leave. Now you know he´s leaving tomorrow, which is not enough time. All the days of repressing your feelings coming to the surface, tears suddenly welling up in your eyes.

“_____?” Seokjin leans forward, hand twitching as if he wants to reach out. Another habit.

“It isn´t enough leaving me, you really have to leave the country?” You hate the way your voice shakes as you speak, the way your heart beats hard in your chest and the way Seokjin is looking at you – like you´re breaking.

“It´s not just you. It´s been a lot for me these last couple of months and now I just have to get away.”

“We´ve been together for half our lives, and all you can think to do when you´re having a hard time is to leave? I tell you what, all this time I´ve tried to be considerate of your feelings because I know it´s not easy for you, but you just run out on us. For a while I had hopes this baby could fix things, make it better, but turns out you only use it as ammunition for own selfish reasoning.”

“Because I´m not so sure the baby is mine, and -”  

“I didn´t fucking cheat on you! Can you stop insinuating that? I told you before, if you want to leave me, leave me. You´re so fucking infuriating when you refuse to believe me. Why won´t you listen to me?”

Half your mind wants to run away and never see Seokjin again, the other wants to lay down by his feet and plead for him to believe you. To stay with you. You don´t do either, instead you sit tight, trying to dry your tears as your husband keeps starting at his hands silently. For the first time he seems to be contemplating what to do next, and slightly shakes his head every couple of seconds, as if not satisfied with his own thoughts. 

He seems to make up his mind. Something in the air changes – something in Seokjin changes. He sinks in his chair as his eyes land on you, making eye contact with you. He seems to have softened with his realization, sending you a remorseful smile.

“Maybe some space would do us good?” he suggests. “I think it will,” he adds lightly.

“Seokjin… All I´ve given you lately is space. If it would do us any good, it would have done so already, don´t you think so?”

“I still have to leave tomorrow,” Seokjin whispers.

“I know.”

“Do you think we can come back from this?”

“I don´t know,” you answer, head turned down.

“Have I ruined everything?”

“I don´t know…”

No no, it´s not like that. I mean, they surely love to talk about me & make up all kinds of crazy lies, but that´s not the reason. Or let´s say it´s only part of it. I haven´t created anything for the community in months (I think the last time was back in fall if I remember correctly) and I´m not planning to ever do so again. Especially not for a bunch of hypocrites who always preach that you should "let people enjoy what they want" but as soon as someone likes something they don´t like - like a book series or a certain author for example - they suddenly forget all about their ideals and start to act just like the people they claim to hate (antis).

Plus it is extremely annoying that if you use the proship tag, people will always assume that you ARE a proshipper, doesn´t matter how many times you point out that this isn´t the case. Like I probably told them a thousand times that I only use the tag due to my dislike of antis, yet they never seem to get it and still confuse me for one of them. I dunno... apparently people are not able to understand that some people simply don´t care about some silly discourse and always expect you to take a side (this is a problem on both sides by the way).

This together brought me to the decision to not use any specific tags anymore and because I have no use of the images I wrote, I deleted them. (I kept the ask games though, they are simply tagged with #ask game) and when it comes to my personal selfship stuff, I only use the tag I have for my darling, so that it´s only on my own blog, which if we´re gonna be honest is the only place it belongs anyway, since this stuff is personal and surely nothing other people want to see.

And hell no! I don´t read fanfiction anyways and I never had a high opinion of this site, not with all the bad things I heard about it and I think it´s actually pretty brazen that a site like this is begging for money every year (what do they even do with it? Yeah, I can't play music while I'm writing. I can see the words getting between me and my screen. Sometimes I'll put on one of those "gentle piano" playlists on Spotify. Makes me feel like I'm in an Oscar-bait drama about a sad lesbian (which is mostly accurate for my day-to-day life.)

In terms of Inspiration, I get inspired by music with heavy emotions. It's the whole musical theater axiom: singing is for when talking isn;t enough. I like artists produced by Jim Steinman. If you haven't seen the music videos for I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) or Total Eclipse of the Heart, I highly recommend you get those emotions into your brain. I'm a big fan of Meat Loaf in general. The album Bat Outta Hell 2 is packed with storytelling songs, some of which are pretty sexy. And then in sort of the opposite direction, Alanis Morrisette's album Jagged Little Pill is also full of songs I could write stories about.

My top 12 movies of 2021

Hey folks! It`s that time again! That day you`ve all been waiting for. That day of the year when I talk about movies I`ve seen and rank them according to my own personal taste and bias!

In more safer times this would have been a list of the movies I`ve seen in the cinema. But since there are still (more than) a few uncertainties left in the world and I prefer to play it safe there was no going to the cinema for me this year either. So this is more of a "movies made in 2021* that I saw on DVD this year" list. *OK, two of the movies on this list were technically not made in 2021, but they didn`t come to my country until 2021, so they still count.

I have talked about two the movies on this list before, so I decided to just recycle what I already wrote back then and only change a few words as my feelings and thoughts on those two movies are still pretty much the same now as they were back then.

And now... here are the movies.

12: Venom: Let there be Carnage I have to admit that it was entertaining but I hesitate to call it good. Woody Harrelson makes a good Cletus Casady and the buddy comedy between Eddie and the symbiote is fun and most likely what people will remeber most from this movie. Script could have used some work though.

11: Cruella I have to admit that I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would, mostly because of Emma Stone who really carries it. It falls a little short when it comes to the script though. It feels like the Disney executives were standing over the writers to make sure that the plot went in a certain direction, whether that direction made sense or not. A few adjustments to the script and this could have been a really good rehash of a classic IP.

10: The Matrix Resurrections What can I say about this movie that isn`t already saying about itself? The plot of this movie mirrors the the things that happened in real life that lead to it being created. Just as Neo is dragged back into the world of the Matrix, Lana Wachowski was dragged back into making it. It`s an unnecessary sequel but I`d be lying if I said I didn`t enjoy watching it.

9: My little Pony: A new generation The comedy is fun but at some parts it feels like the humor is at the expense of moments that could have been more sincere and allow us to get more emotionally invested. The musical numbers are fine but feel a little limited to the bubblegum pop genre. But then again, I guess that is to be expected from a movie based on a toy and made mostly to advertise said toy. And at least it has a good message about unity, prejudice and fighting misinformation.

8: First Cow (2019) Oregon 1820, Otis "Cookie" Figowitz (John Magaro), a meek cook traveling with a bunch of trappers one day comes across King-Lu (Orion Lee), a Chinese immigrant on the run for killing a Russian man. He helps him and later runs into him again and learns that he is thinking about starting a farm. Cookie himself have plans of starting a restaurant. They try to earn money by selling bread but to make the bread taste well Cookie needs milk and the only cow in the area is owned by the Chief Factor (played by Toby Jones) and he doesn`t like sharing. This movie is very minimalistic and low-key, it only has music when it absolutely has to and has many static shots and long takes. In some places it almost lost my interest because not much was happening onscreen, but the keyword here is "almost". I was still interested because I wanted to see what would happen next and the acting was good. Not the kind of movie I usually watch but I`m glad I saw it. It`s the kind of movie that you would expect to see at a filmfestival.

7: Raya and the last dragon A common criticism against this movie is that it isn`t very original. Neither is Star Wars: A new hope (Which was based on Akira Kurosawa`s the hidden castle.) or Toy Story. (Which borrows a lot from Jim Henson`s The Christmas Toy.) So, saying that this movie is not original is really the weakest form of criticism you can come up with. Another criticism against this movie is that it sends the message that you should constantly forgive the person who repeatedly stabs you in the back. I don`t think that was intentional but yeah, It`s there. This movie is trying to frame the narrative as if Namaari and Raya have wronged each other equally when really Namaari is the bigger bad guy here. That aside, I like that they tried to give Namaari  a little depth. Raya is fine, Sisu is OK, Tong, Boun and Noi are also fun but are not as well developed as the previously mentioned characters. It would have been nice if it had been a little longer,  just a few minutes for more character development, and if Namaari had a little moment of selfreflection.  

6: Black Widow Takes place after Captain America: Civil war. We learn more about Natasha Romanoff and her past as it comes back to haunt her in this movie where Black Widow finally gets to play the lead role. It`s as good as Marvel movies usually are. Would have preferred if this had come out before Avengers Endgame though.

5: No time to die First time I`ve seen a Daniel Craig Bond movie and the first time I`ve seen a Bond movie in the cinema. In a way this reminds me of On her Majesty`s secret service because like that movie, this one adds something to the Bond formula, a few things that I didn`t expect that shakes things up a bit. A little different from the typical Bond movie but as good as a Bond movie should be.

4: Dune In the future there is a natural resource called Melange (also known as "Spice"), it extends life, expands consciousness and allows the "folding of space", something that makes interstellar travel much easier. The spice only exists on the planet Arrakis, also known as Dune. This of course makes Arrakis a planet of interest to people of great wealth who seek control and power. It`s like a shakespearian plot with power struggles and backstabbing, in space. Visually captivating and impressive and with so many things going on, it was probably a good idea to divide it into two movies.

3: Luca Luca, a young fish-like human boy who turns into a human when he`s been out of the water for a while, meets an overly confident fish-like human who encourages him to go out of his comfort zone. Soon Luca wants to see more of the surface world. It`s kinda like The little mermaid, but without the romance. A charming, low-stakes story that`s not the next Ratatuille, Inside out, or Soul but doesn`t need to be and isn`t trying to be. It has charm and heart and feels like something the director really wanted to do. And Pixar movies don`t get more italian than this.

2: Encanto In a family where every child born into it has superpowers Mirabel is the only child without one. And if things weren`t hard enough, the magic that made these powers possible and it`s up to Mirabel to save it. It is about the importance of communication and understanding others. Besides that it`s fun, has catchy songs, great animation, gave me some feels and John Leguizamo`s Bruno is a precious cinnamon bun.

And now... Drumroll please. My number one pick for 2021 iiis...

1: The Father (2020) As usual, feels are my kryptonite and once again the number one spot goes to the movie that hit me in them the hardest. A nice change of tradition though is that this year the movie is not animated. Anthony Hopkins plays a man with dementia who refuses help from his daughter. Movies about dementia has been done before, but this is (at least to my knowledge) the first time that it is from the P.O.V of the person suffering from it. Just as Anthony is confused and disoriented, we are are confused with him. It`s a story about a subject we`ve seen before but told from a new angle and Anthony Hopkins`s performance really carries this movie. Not just the big emotional moments, but the small, quirky ones as well. It`s a story about what it`s like to lose all your leaves.

Movies I wanted to see but sadly never got the chance to: House of Gucci and the suicide squad. I`d like to hope that 2023 will be a better year but it feels like everytime I try to express that kind of optimism it just comes back to bite me. So this year I think I`ll settle for hoping that 2023 won`t be worse. That comment will probably come back to bite me as well. This story isn´t even about a guy I went on a date with, or had an acutal interest in but I thought it´ s a funny story and here I am sharing it with everyone. So it was summer and I had a friend over from my home town. We were on the train on the way to somewhere for drinks but we didn´t really have a plan yet. Out of nowhere this guy from my tourism class messaged me on facebook asking what I´m doing that evening. I answered that I was with a friend and we don´t really know what we´re doing yet (I shouldn´t have said that) 

He invited us over to a pool party in his aunts villa where he and his cousin lived. We agreed to go there. The villa was so far away from everywhere. We got there and... there was no party?! It was just him and his cousin. Me and my friend both looked at each other and started laughing but looking back at it, it wasn´t really funny. 

They brought us to the terrace and took a bottle of tequila out of the fridge. We had some shots and started playing some drinking game. Back then I didn´t really do anyhting crazy or weird or anything and neither did my friend so we didn´t really get to drink all that much.. but the dudes on the other hand.. soon were very drunk and suggested we should make some pizza. Yes make pizza, not order it. 

I thought I´d help guy one in the kitchen not really thinking about hooking up with him. But he though otherwise and started kissing me and feeling me up. I wasn´t having any of that and also luckily my friend came to the kitchen asking if everything was alright. I gave her a look and since women always understand each other without saying anything she understood and told guy two he should help his cousin.

We ate the pizza (which was terrible by the way) and decided to stay with them in the villa since it was very late in the night and it was hard to get home. They had enough rooms but somehow guy to ended up with both of us in his bed suggesting we could watch a movie. He was probably thinking he could have the night of his life but again nope. Me and my friend watched the movie and after a while guy one comes into the room and asked me "Hey ugh.. you coming to my room or what?" I´m laughing writing this. Such a weird thing to ask. I politely declined.

Guy two has fallen asleep, my friend and me left the room and went to the living room to sleep. Around 7 in the morning we both woke up and wanted to leave the house unnoticed. But the house being a villa, it wasn´t as easy to sneak out. Somebody had to enter the code in the front door. We had to wake one of the guys up. But oh well he didn´t say anything else and let us go. 

I really was hoping to never see them again because it was so weird and all but we took the same classes so.. I saw them again on tuesday and I was stuck in the elevator with them and I couldn´t help but start laughing. Also some teacher had the great idea to do group projects and I was teamed up with one of them. Guy one tried to message me a couple times more and I blocked him as soon as I graduated. Guy two recently tried to get in touch with me and asked me out on a date. So much for bro code but I always thought of this as a myth.

Jimin loses his brother. His father loses his first born son, the heir of his company, leaving it up to Jimin to keep his father´s company in the Park family. Jimin would never have pictured himself marrying out of duty. However, Mr. Min, who only married Jimin so he could take over the company, isn´t exactly how Jimin pictured. Now, all he wants is to make Yoongi regret his decision to marry for money.

For the rest of the week, Jimin tries his best to get some piece of himself back before he has to return to work. He goes to the park, but ends up crying when a dog reminds him of their childhood pet that was named, fed and walked by Ji and Jimin. He tries to work out, but has to cut the session short when he hears a voice painfully similar to Ji´s and trips, hurting himself. Jimin even joins his friends to a jazz-bar on Wednesday, obviously initiated by the ever so elated Taehyung. The night ends when Jimin drinks one too many cosmopolitans and trows up in the ice-bucket. 

Friday is spent mending his throbbing head and unsettled stomach, messaging Teahyung with promises that yesterday was the last time he will drink ever again, and catching up on TV-shows. By the time Hoseok comes back from work Jimin feels much better, almost back to normal. 

While Hoseok is in the shower, Jimin decides to start dinner in the kitchen, which is where Hoseok finds him when he comes back. Hoseok´s hair is wet and the joggers hang low on his hips and his torso is glistening after his half-assed drying ritual, a lazy smile tugging on his lips as he moves over to Jimin. Normally, this sight would rile Jimin up, and normally they would forget about dinner, and normally Jimin would let Hoseok lead him to the bedroom. But normal isn't a state Jimin can remember anymore. Now, all he knows is how his chest clenches and his insides churn with resentment when he sees Hoseok. 

"What can I do to help?" Hoseok asks, his hands going around Jimin´s waist as he takes a stance right behind him. 

"Grabbing a shirt could be a start," Jimin mutters, continuing cutting the carrots as if Hoseok isn't kissing the curve of his neck. 

"Why? Am I distracting you?" asks Hoseok, teasing. 

"In fact, yes. And we have a dinner to make." 

"We could always forget about dinner," Hoseok suggest as he slips his hand beneath Jimin´s shirt, pulling him closer. He keeps kissing, moving from the nape of Jimin´s neck to the shoulder. This whole thing wouldn't be annoying if Hoseok had dried himself off properly so  Jimin´s shirt wasn't getting wet in the process. 

Both of them can tell what Hoseok is after, but Jimin isn't in the headspace to go there. He grabs Hoseok´s hand to stop him.

"I'm not in the mood," Jimin says, turning back to the carrots. 

"Sorry," Hoseok removes himself completely, disappearing from the kitchen for a few seconds before returning, dry and dressed this time. It's silent as they chop and boil and fry. Jimin doesn't want to speak because his headache has returned, and Hoseok doesn't know what he can say to Jimin that won't make him mad, and decides silence is the best option. Especially after the rejection. Hoseok sets the table as Jimin plates their food. 

"How was your day?" Hoseok asks as soon as they're both sitting by the table. 

"Long. I´ve had a headache and my stomach still isn't alright." 

"So yesterday was fun, then?" Hoseok tries to humor Jimin, who would much rather eat in silence.

"Yes and no. I ended up drinking too much, Tae had to take me home." Jimin remembers a time he would have laughed and told a fun story about the night prior, even if it ended badly. He just can't get himself to do that, now.

"Good on Tae. I'm glad you have him." 

"Yeah. What about your day?" asks Jimin. 

"Listen, Jimin…" Hoseok hesitates, gaining Jimin´s attention. Hoseok is looking down at his plate, a concentrated frown apparent as he bites his lip. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately, and not just because of what happened with you brother, but also because… Well, I guess it's more about us than about you. Something's been stuck on my mind that maybe you can answer for me. I know…" he hesitates again, looking up. "Lately things have been so weird between us, and it feels like no matter what I do, it makes you mad. Like you might… hate me? I don't know. And I've tried to just push it away, because I know you don't hate me," Hoseok laughs bitterly. "But now, I don't even know what to think or do anymore. I'm not sure if it's just grief or if it's actually me anymore." 

"Well... ehm…," Jimin sighs, realizing he can't postpone this any further. "I can't explain it, but every time I look at you something in me just snaps." 

"So you do hate me?" Hoseok asks, voice trembling.

"It's not that I hate you. I love you. It's becoming very clear to me what I'm missing out on, and it sucks I have to let you go. All I can think about when I'm with you is how I won't have you for the rest of my life, even when I would want nothing else, you know? I feel everything I'm going to miss, and it angers how unfair this is." There is a slight pause where Jimin looks down. "Also, we should be letting each other go, but you're holding on too tight."

"You should have told me that, I would have listened," Hoseok says aspirated. "I thought you needed me now, more than ever, which is why I wanted to hold on. You just lost Ji, and I thought I did the right thin by not turning my back to you." Hoseok is staring at Jimin, eyes hard and lips turned to a tight line. "I would have stepped back if you asked me to." 

"But even when I tried to tell you what I needed, you didn't listen," Jimin says, thinking back to the times he wished for Hoseok to just let him go. "What I needed wasn't you or your love, I needed you to listen to what I told you. When I said you should leave, I meant that. When I said I would miss you I didn't say that because I wanted you to stay, I said that because I didn't want to have to fight." 

Hoseok is getting mad, Jimin doesn't even need to look at him to feel the tension in the room shifting to a suffocatingly thick tightness.

"You could have said that, then. Instead you have been pushing me away, without saying anything, making me feel awful and sad and annoying. It tried so hard being understanding and patient, and now you're telling me you've just been annoyed at me for that exact reason?" 

"I've been hurting, Hoseok. And you can't tell me you've been trying when all you've done is keep yourself locked up in that fucking happy-bubble of yours, ignoring my feelings. You've been here, singing and smiling and laughing meanwhile I've been fucking miserable," Jimin says, voice getting louder as his frustration rises. 

"I tried lightening the mood because you've been moping! Good to know my efforts have been useless."

"I´ve lost everything, Hoseok," Jimin gets up, needing an escape before he actually says something might regret. "So do not complain about me moping." 

"You can't use that as an excuse for everything!" Hoseok shouts, standing up as well. 

"Even now you won't fucking listen," Jimin scoffs, turning around. 

What do you want me to do then?" 

"I want you to fucking leave," Jimin says over his shoulder as he walks out of the kitchen. 

And he does. Jimin doesn't even make it to the bedroom before Hoseok is out of the apartment, the sound of the door slamming stopping Jimin in his tracks. Hoseok actually left. 

"Right," Jimin mutters, forcing himself to move. This is the best time to leave. The perfect time to part ways for good, never to see each other again. Now, he needs to get out of here before Hoseok comes back. Before he has to say goodbye face to face. Yes, this will be easier, leaving after a big fight. Maybe Hoseok can hate him and not feel as heartbroken that way. 

Without thinking he calls his dad, who picks up. "Hey," he says happily. 

"Jimin! I'm here with Yoongi, he says hello." 

Jimin ignores the greeting, feeling enough as it is. "Do you think I could move in with you for a couple of weeks? Things here kind of blew up, and I don't think I should stay here." Jimin waits a couple of seconds for the reply, which doesn't come. "Hello?" 

"What about you just move in with Yoongi right away? That way you won't have to move back and forth." 

The suggestion is awful, and Jimin would rather move to the streets than move in with Yoongi any sooner than he has to. "What does Yoongi think about that?" Jimin asks, praying he will say no.  Be the man I know you are, that I hope you are. Please, Jimin begs in his mind, kick me to the curb. 

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind eve a little bit!"

"Alright. Can you send me Yoongi´s number?" 

"Of course! Let me know if I can help with me move, alright?" 

"Will do." 

"And Jimin?" Jimin hums in reply. Jimin´s dad clears his throat. When he speaks next, his voice is low. "I'm sorry about all of this. I know you and Hoseok loved each other. Probably still do, right?" 

"Right," Jimin says, blinking rapidly to stop the stinging of his eyes. "Bye dad." 

The two of them hang up, and starts to pack his clothes into a bag. A couple of minutes late, Jimin gets a call from a number he doesn't have saved. 

"Hello, this is Jimin," he says, an empty bag now in hand and the closet door opened.

"It's Yoongi," comes from the phone. "Your dad asked me if you could move in with me? Today? Apparently you have to move out?" Yoongi asks incredibly.

Jimin sighs."I didn't know he would suggest me moving in with you. Then, I wouldn't have said anything, believe you me." 

"I was quite… ready for it myself, but he is my boss and father in law in the end, couldn't say no." 

"Should have," Jimin mutters, which clearly goes unnoticed by Yoongi. 

"Just so I know, how much stuff are you bringing?"

And Jimin is stupid, because why haven't he thought about the furniture and all their shared stuff. He bought the sofa with Hoseok. Same goes for the lamp and the bed and the nightstand and the cutlery and the pots and the pans. Everything is theirs. In a split second Jimin decides to leave it be. Hoseok can have it, Yoongi probably have all of these things anyway. 

"A couple of bags." 

"I´ll text you the address."

"Can't wait." Jimin hangs up like that. 

An hour later Yoongi and Jimin are stood in the elevator, two bags and a suitcase by their feet, containing everything Jimin now owns. The elevator ride up the sixth floor feels endlessly long, both of them painlessly aware of how alone they are about to be. How intertwined their lives are about to be. 

"Welcome home," Yoongi says as he opens the door for Jimin. Home is definitely not this place with it's gray walls and black furnitures and dark hallways. Home should be with the man Jimin just left, in their shared apartment with their future kids they always dreamed up together. Yoongi calling this home isn't like spreading salt in the wound. Not, it's like spreading chilling sauce in the wound, making his whole body feel hot and bothered and in pain. 

Yoongi is looking at him, nodding his head impatiently, urging Jimin to walk through the doors. What Yoongi can't see is the regret Jimin is feeling on his body, and the fight he is currently having with his instinct to run away. Running away won't fix this. So, he nods back, picks up the bags and walk through the doors. 

Yoongi gives him a quick tour of the apartment, each room the same gray color palette and minimalistic style He shows him the spare bedroom for last, which is a little bit of a mess. The bed is thankfully made, but there are boxes stacked against the wall and random shoes on the floor that are accompanies by books and pieces of clothing. Yoongi did definitely not expect Jimin here tonight. 

And Jimin might have said something snarky if his throat wasn't closed up. This new home doesn't feel like a home at all. 

Yoongi opens his mouth to say something, but is closes it quickly when the doorbell rings. Smiling to himself slightly, he walks to hallway. Curious, Jimin stays in the hallway, watching as Yoongi opens the door to a man in his early twenties with tattoos who smiles so brightly it almost lights up the whole room. The tattooed man bounces past the threshold, kissing Yoongi´s cheek.

"Honey I'm home!" he exclaims, holding up a white bag of takeaway. "Today I bring you your favorite." And Jimin notices the way Yoongi is smiling towards the man, and the way Yoongi seems to open himself up to this man in front of him, and the way he softens under his smile. This tattooed man isn't Yoongi´s friend. No, he has to be more. 

The black hole in Jimin´s stomach is growing. Je just threw away his whole relationship meanwhile Yoongi clearly wouldn't have cared, having his own boyfriend. Carefully to not attract attention, he closes the door behind him and throws himself on the bed. It's no point in fighting the tears when they're breaking down his feeble attempts at emotional control like water breaks through thin paper. He never stood a chance.

That´s cool.🙂 Also, I can totally understand that you don´t wanna hear jokes about the virus, cause the virus really sucks. `Course it´s fun as long as it just kills people I don´t know, or people I don´t like, but knowing that it could also be a danger for my family and friends definitely isn´t fun. I´m especially worried for my grandpa, cause he´s super old and this thing would most likely kill him.

Anyways, I agree that the virus isn´t funny and we shouldn´t joke about it. But I can imagine that living in a place called the kingdom of Corona, you probably have to deal with a lot of stupid jokes, right? Well, that sucks. I think you should punch the next person who jokes about it straight in the face - in most cases this makes people shut up very quickly.😏 And if that doesn´t help then a knife surely will.🔪 I never leave the house without my knife, or better said one of my knives, cause I´ve got quite a collection of them.
