THE ROAD TO FASHION
Love creates all things...
I stumbled into fashion entirely by accident.  There was no "Ah Ha" moment where I said this is what I want to do for a living, no growing up with a shoe or purse addiction, no need to have brand name clothes or continually sketch the newest trending designs in my notebook.  It was a lot more basic than that.
As a young twenty something, I knew that I wanted to start my own business - that was it.  I had no plan, no idea what I wanted to sell or what my business should be called but like many modern day entrepreneurs I decided it would be a good idea to open an Etsy shop.  I took the first step down the road that day and I didn't even realize it.
Now, when you've never run a business before, you learn quite quickly that it is not as easy as it looks even with Etsy's cheat sheets.  Setting up shop took quite a bit longer than I expected partially because I didn't have a name for my company and partially because I had no products to sell.  This probably wasn't the best way to start off being a business owner, but that's kind of what happens when you decide to walk in blind... you stumble.
I stumbled quite a lot.  I think I spent more time catching myself from falling than I actually did building a business.  In the beginning Times Lost Art or "TLA" as I like to refer to it now was more of a daydream while I was working at my "real" job than anything else.  Case and point, I came up with the name for my business one day at work while I was washing my hands at the bathroom sink.  Really inspirational stuff going on there, I mean REALLY!
I was big into cross-stitching and embroidery back then so that's what I decided to start making to sell in my Etsy shop.  BIG MISTAKE!  Anyone who has done any kind of embroidery can tell you first hand that it is extremely time consuming and you will never, ever, I REPEAT, never, ever be able to sell your embroidery for a price suitable enough to make up for the time you spent creating the piece itself.
And so I went on for a few years drifting in and out of th idea of starting my own business.  My failures continually outweighing my successes.  I was running out of drive and ambition and slowly but surely falling into the trap of living an ordinary, creativeless existence (if that is even a word).
Now working for a living isn't the only thing that can effect one's creativity.  As with anyone's life, people can have an effect on it as well.  Friends and lovers can appear and disappear as if by magic or at least that is how it feels sometimes.  My artwork and designs were at a standstill, I was bored of spending so many hours cross-stitching even though I had become quite good at it.  It was at that point that I decided to turn my attention to a newer hobby, one that didn't take quite as much focus and was quicker to execute... knitting.
I had taught myself how to knit a couple of years prior by watching YouTube videos of all things.  (FYI - New Stitch A Day is an amazing website with numerous tutorial videos that I still reference all the time.  I find them extremely easy to follow especially if you are a beginner knitter.)  I found that I enjoy knitting very much.  It is calming and relaxing and at the same time rewarding because you get to make something from literally nothing.  You are essentially tying knots in a skein of yarn to turn into a garment.  When you think of it in such layman's terms it really puts a new perspective on something that up until a few years ago I, myself, never considered an art form.
It wasn't until my son was born, however, that I got this crazy idea to take that art form and start designing my own patterns.  Up until that point it had never occured to me to design my own.  I had just been contented enough to follow someone else's knitting pattern.  Once I had my baby, however, I had someone to make things for and the drive and ambition I had thought I'd lost came back full force.
My very first design was created shortly after Halloween 2017.  My son and I are avid Batman fans but do you think I could find a bat toque?  I looked everywhere in town and nothing.  For it being Halloween where bats and ghosts and pumpkins are supposed to be abundant I was sorely disappointed.  I had never made a toque before let alone used more than one colour of yarn at a time.  Knitting in the round was something new to me as well but I was persistent.  After about the third go around I finally managed to hammer out a basic design that was wearable.  At this point my then 8 month old was so over trying on hats that he would pout every time I came near him with one.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Being able to make something for him was exactly the inspiration I needed because shortly after that, nine more baby toque designs followed.  I finally had a clear vision of what Times Lost Art was supposed to be.  It wasn't the same vision I'd had when I began, and for that, I am thankful.  I followed the road to fashion not by choice but by love, the love I had for my little "Gremlin".  Now, it was time to take that love and build a brand.

Learning crochet master list!!
I made this for people who want to learn crochet but don’t know where to start. I found that out of all the videos I found, these were the most helpful, but feel free to dig around YouTube yourself✨
Also, if you need help with anything, please feel free to message me, or send an ask! I’m more then happy to help😸
The bare basics:
https://youtu.be/jUIfV-Qcq2c
youtube
All other essential stitches and more.(essentials are single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and maybe treble crochet):
https://youtu.be/kj8BGV3ysro
youtube
The magic knot(the easy, and not too chunky way of tying together yarn.):
https://href.li/?https://youtu.be/15hqoR0KJHA
youtube
The magic circle(essential for circle projects like hats and coasters):
https://youtu.be/Ex02JPOXf_k
youtube
These are the essential skills(in my opinion) for crochet. Below the cut are additional things that you may want to learn(such as amigurumi), or at least take a look at. I hope you find use in this, and have a wonderful day🌸
Tips for amigurumi(recommend you watch before, and/or after you learn the basics of amigurumi):
https://youtu.be/v7eI-JD-Ajw
youtube
amigurumi basics(use a crochet hook that’s a size down from the recommended, so for example, if you’re using weight 4 yarn that recommends a 5 mm hook, use a 4 mm crochet hook):
https://youtu.be/ushHnIxLdYw
youtube
How to read crochet patterns(description of the video has all the abbreviations laid out in a list):
https://youtu.be/-5JQkbqzvzw
youtube
And here’s an abbreviation chart. Admittedly some of it looks a bit odd, but when looking for beginner patterns, generally people have a list of abbreviations in the pattern to help you out.
Tumblr media
How to block a project(so say you have a square that isn’t looking so square, you can block it, and then it will gain its blocky shape):
https://youtu.be/v0Hfu0byjxs
youtube
Recommended beginner projects!
Simple coasters, very easy to do(uses the magic circle, double crochet, slip stitches, and increases)
https://youtu.be/vItcjc8nJ9o
youtube
Fingerless gloves, easy to do.(may have a bit of trial and error in how long you want it, but besides that it’s very easy and fun. Uses treble crochet.)
https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/fingerless-gloves-pattern-978086
Leg warmers, easy to do.(just chain a few less then you initially think, otherwise you’ll have to add drawstrings. Uses double crochet, and slip stitch.)
https://www.bhookedcrochet.com/2014/10/16/beginner-crochet-leg-warmers/
Flower buds: very easy to do.(uses single crochets, double crochets, and some easy sewing) she explains it very carefully, and is a wonderful beginner project.
https://youtu.be/v2dIRtdbX7E
youtube
A collection of crochet patterns:
I have a wonderful collection of crochet patterns you can find here! If my icon is on a card, that means I still need to edit it.
Other random tips:
Make sure you stretch your hands! It’s super important you keep your hands limber and flexible, especially because they can get tense after a session of crocheting. Here’s this cool chart thing I found showing some very good hand stretches!
Tumblr media
If you’re purchasing new crochet hooks, make sure they have handles. It doesn’t have to be huge, but if your crochet hook has a handle of any sort, it’ll make your crafting easier, and your hands will thank you.
When doing repeated rounds(like round 6-15 single crochet all the way around) try using the calculator on your phone. So for example: from round 5 to 9 single crochet only, you’d put in 4 + 1, hit equal, and every time you start another round hit equal again until you’ve gotten to the final round it says to do that. Yes I know stitch counters are a thing, but I’m pretty sure this is different.
Paper clips are good replacements for stitch markers! I recommend those flexible, kind of plastic ones? Any should work though. Also twist ties, crafty pipe cleaners, bobby pins, and other random bits are good stitch marker replacements!
When you end up clipping off little yarn snippets from your projects, don’t throw them away! You can cut up those snippets and use it to fill plushie projects. Just get a little ziploc bag or something and put them in there.
Yarn weight can be confusing, so here’s a chart to help you out! When it comes to yarn ply… things can get confusing(at least for me), so for now, maybe just stick to patterns that specify what weight it is.
Tumblr media
More beginner patterns, and useful things to learn will be added in due time. Also if there are any beginner patterns or tips you think should be added to the list, you can DM me or leave a comment and I’ll be sure to check it out! 😸

“What time is yours?”
“10:30. And yours?”
“11,” Jungkook smiles fondly at you when you try to tie his tie in a fancy Eldridge knot. You found some tutorial on YouTube about how to make fancy tie knots. Jungkook insists that no one’s going to look through his gown until the dinner, and by then his family would care less about how his tie is tied, but you care. It’s a bluff, Jungkook loves that you’re trying to dote on him and leave a trace of you at his graduation, as if it’s the last one you could give him.
Time is what you’ve run out of.
It takes infinitely longer to get ready when you’re dressing other people rather than yourself. You’re tying his knot while dressed scantily in your safety shorts and a bra, dress thrown somewhere and Jungkook’s only in a button down and boxers.
“You think I can make yours?” Jungkook jokes, “I mean my name’s in the Js. That gives me like, forty-five minutes.”
You scoff, shaking your head. Despite the fact that you would love to go to each other’s convocations, your majors are vastly different and therefore your graduations collide.
“It’s a busy day,” you reply vaguely, stepping away from Jungkook to see your handiwork. The tie is a minor detail, little silk ribbons criss-crossing over each other like an onyx waterfall. “Handsome,” you remark, brushing at his collar one last time before you dress yourself the rest of the way.
This should be a happy day–it is a happy day. Your family is driving over to the convocation ceremony, with signs and flowers as they watch you cross the finish line to the next chapter in  your life. Likewise with Jungkook, as his friends and family are traveling to another convocation ceremony on the other side of campus.
Your eyes discreetly dart around Jungkook’s apartment, noting that your college days really are over. Unlike your apartment, which you and Jennie have robbed clean (and spent days trying to get out the bleach stains in the carpet when Jennie spilled dye) until nothing was left, Jungkook’s remains fully furnished. He’s been accepted to the graduate program on campus, which starts right after graduation.
Your thoughts cutaway with Jungkook’s sweet words. “You’re beautiful,” he echoes your compliment once you put on your sundress, and he pulls you over to smooth out the edges.
Beautiful. Not cute or adorable, as he always loves to coo. You feel higher, lovelier, uplifted at the compliment.
“Is it too late?” you mumble to yourself, slipping on the silky material of your gown and hood. You clutch the cap between your fingers, squishing the cardboard material that keeps it straight.
“Too late for what?”
“Too late for us.”
Jungkook smiles, reaching over to brush the invisible tears off the swell of your cheek.
“I’m sorry,” you say.
“You can’t turn down an internship in New York,” Jungkook insists, “and there’s y’know, Facetime.”
It isn’t the same, and you don’t want to get to know Jungkook through a screen for the next year. How are you both going to balance a budding relationship atop your budding careers?
“I’ll wait for you,” he promises, but you put a hand on his chest before he has more to explain, “this is your hometown, right? You’ll have to visit here sometime.”
“I can’t let you do that for me,” you chastise, “you’re too good for that.”
“And you’re too good for me,” Jungkook’s all smiles, and that pains you even more. You’ve made this poor guy suffer for half the year, combined with a stressful senior year it took so long for you to get your head out of the dirt and realize that he didn’t just want sex, he wanted you.
“Don’t wait for me,” you repeat again, poking your finger in his chest. You yelp when he simply drags your pointer finger to his mouth, biting right at the canine, “I’m serious!”
“Fine,” he pouts, “but you can’t force me to stop thinking about you.”
“I can’t, but I don’t want to hurt you anymore.”
Why do you have such impeccable timing? Since when did the conversation get so lead-heavy? The ache in your chest seeps across your body, and you let yourself melt, leaning into Jungkook’s warm arms. You’re on borrowed time, your ceremony will start in less than thirty minutes, so you savor every second of it.
“Thank you, Jungkook.”

Fools, and Worthless Liars. by aliceninetyfive I 115K I Haunted hotel, winter
Louis and Liam decide to go work a winter season in a snow resort in the Alps during their gap year. They get placed in Austria, where they meet a bunch of familiar faces including Zayn, Harry, Niall and various others you're bound to recognise doing the same thing!
Featuring our old favourites angst, pining, self discovery, ot5, and a side helping of a haunted hotel & gorgeous alpine scenery.
Compartment 451 by ziamhaze I 88K I Harry Potter universe
Zayn’s a muggleborn wizard whose parents leave him to fend for himself once he’s made aware of his magical abilities. The Payne’s are an open minded wizarding family, who take him in and provide the boy with a loving home before he and their overly excited son Liam, go off to Hogwarts for the first time. Liam introduces Zayn to the wonderful world of magic, while Zayn teaches the pureblood about a way of life he’s never known. Somewhere between laser tag tutorials and petting Hebridean Black dragons, Zayn falls for the newly appointed Head Boy, but his three other nonconforming friends aren’t about to let the Ravenclaw go through his last year of school without letting Liam in on his feelings once and for all.
Money Moves by mmaree I 74K I Fake Relationship I Boss/Employee
“I’ll cut straight to the chase,” Liam announces. He leans forward, and Zayn is met with steely eyes and steepled fingers. “I’m willing to offer you fifty grand if you’ll enter into a small…partnership with me. This would be in addition to your salary at Payne Innovations, of course. Think of it as a bonus.”
Zayn narrows his eyes. “What kind of partnership?”
“A fake engagement.”
“Oh,” Zayn says, relieved it’s nothing illegal. “Wait—what?”
“A fake engagement,” his boss repeats slowly, as if he’s convinced Zayn’s comprehension skills are significantly lacking. “For six months. Maybe less if I can pull it off sooner but don’t worry—you’ll be paid the full sum regardless of how long it takes.”
Zayn’s suspicious, and he doesn’t even know why. There’s nothing to be suspicious of because, clearly, Liam’s lost the plot. Zayn’s having a conversation with a complete nutter. There’s no other reasonable explanation.
He clears his throat, searches Liam’s eyes for a sign he's taking the piss. “How long what takes?”
A smile plays at Liam’s lips. “For me to be hired as the CTO at Titan Technologies.”
Half A Heart by ginger_with_a_black_cat I 68K I Friends with Benefits
Zayn is an English student who doesn't want to fall in love because his biggest fear is to get hurt again. Liam is a resident bad boy and everyone's wet dream on the outside, but in the inside he's a secret even to himself. Harry's Liam's best friend with a secret of his own. Louis likes to party hard, get drunk and get everyone in trouble but everybody loves him nonetheless. And then, there's Niall, who's the youngest of them all, but still has the most brains and keeps them all in order all while being in love with an impossible girl.
Or where Zayn gets hit in the head by his own actions, Liam finds himself falling for an idiot, Harry gets dragged out of the closet by the love of his life, Louis wants Harry and only Harry and Niall just wants all of them to get their shit together, so he can get his own life back.

It’s incredibly relaxing, even in this small space, the way they’ve always been. Such a distraction that he doesn’t think, not for once, about agreeing to lie to his family and Zayn pretending to be his date and how easy all of this might be.
(Liam needs a date to a wedding. His family loves to match him up with blind dates. He doesn't want that. He needs a date... and, well, why not Zayn. Pretending to be boyfriends for a weekend isn't the worst idea he supposes. Liam is horribly wrong.)

And he's always been a bit daft about love, or the fact that Liam's always been in love with him. It's all a bit of a mess, actually.)
Just As Fast, Twice As Dangerous by lightswoodmagic I 45K I Superpowers
When he realised it was only him and Liam in the hallway, he felt safe enough to drop his shield. Oh. Lovely. Liam was emanating affection and fondness, his primary emotions filled with warmth and love. Zayn let himself bask in it, how it would feel to be loved by Liam. He knew Liam loved him, but he wasn’t in love with him; Zayn had felt that emotion too many times to count, and this just wasn’t it. He dug slightly deeper, could feel that Liam was excited and nervous, and when he hit a wall Liam had built himself, he dropped back. He wasn’t supposed to know everything.
Or, Zayn's a normal student by day, and a superhero by night. When a mysterious man seems to target him at the same time a natural disaster strikes, Zayn has to figure out a way to save the day, protect his heart, and convince the boys he's not a vigilante all at the same time.

“We’re not actually married,” Liam says, with slightly more force than intended. “It was an accident. Obviously I wouldn’t ever get married to Zayn if I was sober, that’s fucking ridiculous.”
The bathroom door opens suddenly and Zayn stands there in nothing but a towel, bottom lip trapped between his teeth. Liam opens his mouth to say something but Zayn holds up his hand, shaking his head. “You don’t need to be a dick about it, Liam. This isn’t exactly how I envisioned my first marriage going either.”

Liam looked at his phone, but it held no answers. Zayn couldn’t be serious. Liam hadn’t stopped traveling the world after the band went on hiatus. He never stopped. Dubai one week, London the next, and then L.A. It didn’t really matter where, as long as he kept moving. But he missed Zayn, missed his former band mate. His former friend. He hadn’t seen him in person in years. And it couldn’t be that bad, on a farm, could it?

“How is everyo – woah, why are you so happy?” he asked Zayn, cackling when Zayn kicked out at him.

How to Tie a Fishing Knot - Learning the Basics
Here are some tips on how to tie a fishing knot the right way. When learning how to tie a fishing knot having the right skills will save you time and money. The knots that are most commonly used for fishing are the Palomar Knot, Fly Reel and the Improved clinch. The Palomar Knot is probably the strongest fishing knot around. This knot just has 3 steps making it very simple and extremely strong.
Because there are not so many variations in this knot, it also makes it very difficult to break. Some of the other fishing knots discussed here are the clinch knot, fly line knot and improved clinch. As with any type of knot you should be aware of the potential dangers if you do not know how to tie fishing knots properly.
https://www.fishloversguide.com/how-to-tie-a-fishing-hook/
The Improved Clinch: This particular knot is also known as the Captain Hayne knot. In order to tie this you will need a fluorocarbon leader with a small ball of lead and then threading this through the eye of the line. Once this is threaded, you will then have to wrap the lead around itself several times securing the loop. After this is all finished wrap the lead around itself several more times securing the end. Once this is all done, you will then need to take a piece of thread and wrap it around the end of the fish keeping it snug on the lead so that when it is tacked down it forms a loop.
Another very common fishing knot used by anglers is the Palomar Knot. To tie this you will need a thin smooth piece of fabric, a piece of string and a bayonet. Feed the string through the eye of the bow and tie the fabric around it four times securing the string at the opposite ends. After this is completed tuck the bow away from your body. Wrap the string around the handle of the bow and then tie an overhand knot. Pull the bow out straight and release the tension.
There are numerous other varieties of fishing knots used by people today. If you would like to learn how to tie one of these knots then you should go online and look up some books or videos on the subject. You can learn from the pros in the world of fishing and give yourself the knowledge needed to fish effectively. The more information you have the better you will be able to master the art of tying knots.
Learning how to tie knots is not difficult if you follow the right techniques. The first step is to learn how to take the fishing line into the water. Once this is done you will then want to secure the line to the platform. There are several different ways to accomplish this, but the most common way is to tie two or three different knots. One knot will secure the line to the platform, while another will secure the line to your fingers.
Once you learn how to tie a knot then it will become second nature to you. In fact, many people have started out learning how to tie knots by themselves. Others have had to purchase a book or two and have found that learning the art by reading about it and practicing the techniques can help them master the skill faster. If you have a book about the art of fishing then you will be able to learn the various fishing knots that are commonly used.
You can also learn how to tie knots by finding a website on the internet that offers tutorials for all types of knots. These websites often have video tutorials that you can watch. This will help you learn how to tie the various knots and will give you the confidence that you need to actually tie a knot on the fishing line. The more knowledge you have about tying knots then the easier it will be to actually tie a knot when you are out fishing.

Little Police Semaphore and Cipher Competition Part 3
I suggest if your interested to watch this woman's full series on the dance postures, etc.  In Europe Ballet uses some of the same postures and can transmit similar messages.  Culturally both types of dance are telling a story. (How to Ballet Dance: Step by Step Tutorial -Scroll down to the stick figure showing the dance steps)
Sometimes though they have applications for undercover officers or people needing to say something but unable to speak normally about it.  Sometimes posed, carved, or drawn/painted objects take the place of someone actually dancing or gesturing.  If that is the case sometimes the colors used also convey a message along with any color pattern or texture.
Some of the hand gestures of both India and Africa are used in China.

Japanese traditional dance also has its own language in the makeup or masks worn, clothing, movement, and music.
Sometimes people use Chinese knots as symbolism that they wear or give to someone somehow.  These can warn or pass a message.(Chinese Knot Tutorials)  These are different from the Hojo Jutsu tying.  But are similar to Sailor Knots which sometimes are used the same way.

A Tutorial on Tying your Waist Ties for Lolita by Yourself
Full, perky, and symmetrical bows are essential to lolita. Sure you’ve watched videos on how to tie them, I know you know how to do it. Every bow you tie comes out perfectly. But when it comes to actually tying your waist ties behind your back before you go out... You’re stuck.
A lot of people don’t know how to a nice bow. Unless you live with a sailor, chances are you’re not going to be able to teach your roommate/partner/parents to tie a nice one for you because beyond tying their shoes, they just don’t really give a damn.
Fortunately most waist ties come unattached to the dress, which means you don’t need to find a sailor to tie your waist ties. You can do it yourself!
Here’s what you need:
Two waist ties
A hanger
A flat surface
Tumblr media
Clip the waist ties at the button holes with the hanger. Unfortunately the distance you’ll need them to be apart is different for every dress, so you might have to finaggle this a few times before you get it right. You can try measuring the distance between where the buttons fall on your waist with a tape measure, but I’ve never had much luck with doing that.
Tumblr media
Cross the waist ties and tuck the one on top under the bottom one, but don’t flip it! It’s more like tying string around a parcel than making a knot. If you were to flip it, the design wouldn’t show on a one sided tie, or the points at the ends would be pointing opposite ways!
Tumblr media
Make a bunny ear with the tie that ends up underneath. Here this would be the tie clipped to the left. (This is where I realized the bow would be upside down on the hanger. It doesn’t really matter, though. You can do it either way, just change around the ties on the clips.)
Tumblr media
When you’ve made your bunny ear, tuck it up parallel to the waist length of the ties. Spin the top waist tie around (Again, don’t flip it!), and wrap it around your bunny ear.
Tumblr media
Make a bunny ear with the top waist tie, spin it 90° and tuck it through the loop!
Tumblr media
Tighten it by pulling on the back sides of the bunny ears. Start with the one you wrapped around, because that wrapped length needs to be pulled in to the bow.
Tumblr media
Take the bow off the hanger to make final adjustments. Make sure the bow is centered on the tie!
Tumblr media
All done! Put your dress on and button the bow onto it.

Dupatta Reuse Ideas-20+ DIY Ways To Upcycle Your Old Dupattas Outfit Trends - Ideas How to Wear & What to Wear
New Post has been published on https://www.outfittrends.com/dupatta-reuse-ideas/
Dupatta Reuse Ideas-20+ DIY Ways To Upcycle Your Old Dupattas
Over 20 Ways To Reuse a Dupatta: Dupatta is an essential part of the Eastern fashion and is typically worn with Kurtas and Shalwar Kameez. It is a wardrobe staple in countries like India and Pakistan who are all about modest fashion.
These come in a number of designs and fabrics which make them all super unique and attractive. Most commonly they are found in chiffon and silk fabrics with digital prints on them. However, they are also done in the lawn fabric with elements like laces and tassels. With dupattas being an important part of our everyday fashion, we are often left with large collections of them. Instead of letting them lie around in your closet, reuse them in fun ways to create new looks. Wear the same dupatta by contrasting it on a different coloured outfit or stitch it into a fun shirt. Additionally, they can also be styled to meet all the latest fashion trends. Not only are they cost effective but also save you with ample amounts of space within your wardrobes.
How To Reuse Your Old Dupatta?
Here are some tips and tricks to style it:
Pick and choose the right fabric for the right kind of design.
Create fun and youthful looks that match the current trends.
Use accessories like belts to style them.
You can also create accessories out of them like the knot hairband or even a belt.
Experiment with looks creating an Indo-western style.
You can also upcycle a fancy, embroidered dupatta to create different looks.
↓ 22. Quirky Summer Top
This cool and funky black and white top with tie-up sleeves are worth adding to your summer closet. Not only can they make for great casual wear but can also be worn as a fine travel outfit. If you have a lawn dupatta lying around somewhere that is not of your use, consider cutting it out to create a cool top like this one. The leftover cutting can be stitched onto the top for a fun element like the bow-tied sleeves. The top can then be styled with skirts or jeans for a comfortable yet chic style.

↓ 21. Dupatta Cape
Got a wedding event coming up and cannot decide on what to wear? We have you covered. Pull out an embroidered heavy dupatta and convert into a beautiful cape dress like this one. You will never be able to tell it has been made from an existing dupatta. The capes have been in fashion since 2017 now and are frequently incorporated with Eastern outfits as well. This idea can also be used to upcycle bridal outfits that are often pushed to the back of the closets. This style can definitely save you the time and money that would otherwise be spent finding the right kind of embroidery and fabric for an outfit like this.

↓ 20. Saree Blouse
We absolutely adore this colour combination of blue and yellow with hints of rust. If you are bored of wearing the same old blouse with your saree, give it a different look by pairing it with a new blouse. You can use your lawn or silk dupatta with different prints and colours to contrast with a beautiful saree like this one. The blouse can then be reused with a different saree and you will always have a different outfit each time. Another great idea to pull out your mom’s saree and wear it with a fun blouse like this one instead of wearing them with old-fashioned blouses that do not seem to work with the current trends and styles. If you’re into wearing sarees then I highly recommend that you go through these 30 New Saree Blouse Designs 2019 That You Must Try.

↓ 19. Recycle Old Dupatta Into Shrug

↓ 18. Saree Drape
While this may resemble the Saree Pants, it is actually more of a drape that has been made with a Dupatta. The look can easily be sported at formal occasions for a unique and different style. Tucked in at the right side, it goes around the back and worn as a Saree on the front. She has used a tie-dye dupatta in yellow and white to complement her white pants and yellow blouse.

↓ 17. How to Wear Your Mom’s Dupatta
Sridevi’s sudden demise came as a shock for many. We were all disheartened by the news and the focus suddenly shifted to whether Janhvi Kapoor would be able to live up to the same standards or not. While that is debatable, what is not is how gorgeous Janhvi looks in her mom’s dupatta that she was spotted wearing. What is fun to note is how she chose to pair it with a similar white Kurta instead of a different coloured one. If you have similar sentiments attached to your mom’s dupatta and cannot seem to part with it, here is how to use it.
Via
↓ 16. One Dupatta in Two Ways
Take a look at another one of Veronica’s creations that she made out of a blue net dupatta. This piece of creativity does not require any stitching which happens to be the best part about it. We love how the border of the wrap gives the perfect back detailing, something that most tops these days lack.
Via
She wore the same wrap to create a dress out of it, again without any stitching. That helps you use the same wrap in a number of ways without destroying the purpose of it.
Via
↓ 15. Swimwear Cover Up
If you want a bikini cover-up that is affordable yet pretty-looking, this could be your go-to. Any existing stole or wrap could do the purpose by tying one end around the neck, giving the effect of a turtleneck. The other can be tied around the back, to keep it in place and voila, the look is complete.
Via
↓ 14. DIY Dupatta Dress
How beautiful is this blue chiffon dress that has been worn over a shirt with gorgeous neck embroidery? At first glance, we thought of it to be a silver necklace and loved how it looks with the dress. The crepe fabric is something that is occasionally done as traditional wraps and dupattas. If you have one that is not of your use anymore, you could totally put it to use in this creative and fun way. The dress makes for a great party outfit. It can be worn with a blazer or a shrug to experiment with it. If you do not wish to wear it over a similar looking shirt, you could always pair actual silver jewelry to accessorize the look. Additionally, you may try the look by putting it together with the help of some pins and a belt instead of getting it stitched.

↓ 12. Old Dupatta Reuse
Isha Ambani, daughter of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani recently wore her mother’s Chunari at her own Wedding. We love the concept of holding on to memories and it has been done worldwide. In the Western world, a lot of brides have chosen to wear their ancestral wedding gowns on their own. Kareena Kapoor Khan wore her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore’s, wedding outfit on her own wedding. However, if you do not wish to wear the same outfit yet want to have an element of it, here is how to do it. We love how Isha added the color red to her otherwise white ensemble with her mother’s wedding dupatta.

↓ 11. Kimono
Here are two ideas on how to style a wrap or a stole as either a kimono or a cool wide neck top. The first way is to stitch buttons down the length to give it a look which is a cross between a cape and a kimono. The other is to stitch buttons down the sleeves for a cool look. We love the slit at the arms that gives it a look of a poncho. Both the looks are perfect for the Summer weather and could even be worn to your next Summer travel destination. And to help you rock this style, here are 20 Ways To Dress Up With Kimono Outfits.
Via
↓ 10. Dupatta Turned Into Shirt
Veronica Andrad is a fashion student who has a keen interest in turning old fabrics into some dainty pieces. We love how she picked out an old tie-dye dupatta and stitched it into a chic top that she chose to wear with black pants. The beige and orange combination is a stunning one and the overall look is super affordable yet attractive. A shirt like this would also go well with shawars so have a look at these 18 Best Ways to Wear Patiala Shalwar.
Via
↓ 9. Embellished Skirt
When we first saw this Shivan and Narresh skirt, our first thought was how appropriate the design was to upcycle an existing embellished dupatta. If you have a heavily embroidered dupatta in your trousseau that you would want to re-style, here is how you could do it. You could also wear it to your honeymoon for a boho look. It can be paired with a crop top or a full sleeves gold blouse.
Via
↓ 8. Cropped Skirt
Banarasi fabrics are known to be a huge part of South Asian fashion. They come as Sarees, as well, dupattas for people going the traditional way. A great way to reuse such fabrics is by turning them into stylish skirts, short or long. Since dupattas often come in a length of a little over 2 meters, they can be used to create cropped skirts to wear with trendy tops.
Via
↓ 7. Phulkari Pants
Phulkari is a type of thread embroidery famous in both India and Pakistan. The last couple of years brought back the old trend of Phulkari and we saw a couple of beautifully embroidered dupattas that were sported by celebrities and fashionistas alike. Well, here is a modern take on those dupattas. If you have an old Phulkari dupatta or just wish to turn it into a different piece, here is how to do it. Phulkari trousers/shalwars are the new ‘it’ trend. Pair an Indian Chikankari kurta with these pants for a quick makeover. The outfit can then make for a great casual or even a formal look depending on how it is styled.
Via
↓ 6. Indo-Western Fusion
Did you know you could totally pass by wearing a dupatta over shorts with a belt around? We did not either. We absolutely love this Indo-Western fusion and how effortless this blue and white wrap looks with her overall look.
Via
↓ 5. Gorgeous Pink Wrap-Dress
Here is one of our favorite outfits that could be pulled off with an old dupatta. We love the cross that it is between a dress and a jumpsuit and how glamorous it looks. Wrap around a silk dupatta over a pair of tights and hold it in place with a statement belt like the one in the picture. Style it effortlessly with a pair of tribal earrings and matching stilettos. Similar outfits have been worn by celebrities and fashionistas alike and we are super impressed by the look of it.
Via
↓ 4. Summer Look
Take a look at this super cute and boho style top and skirt. They make for the ultimate Summer beach outfit to pair with some sandals. You can create your own such look by recycling a pair of old dupattas to create a pair of matching top and skirt.
Via
↓ 3. Crop Top
This boho style chic crop top is the kind of Summer look we have all been dreaming of. It can be made of silk, cotton or even chiffon fabrics. They can be worn with skirts, high-waisted jeans and even shorts to create the perfect youthful looks. If you know the basics of tailoring, it should not be a problem creating this super cute top from an old dupatta. However, if you do not know how to do it, you could always ask a tailor to stitch it for you. We are already thinking of a million ways to style this adorable top especially with summer sandals and chunky accessories. For a modest or desi look, you can easily wear the crop top with a skirt or lehnga and even high waisted pants. Be sure to pair the crop top with one of these 25 Cute Ways to Wear Crop Tops This Season.
Via
↓ 2. Romper Style
We love this short romper that is perfect for the warm summer weather. We love the use of vibrant colours and the wide sleeves and how perfectly it has been paired with a couple of cool accessories. Since it has a short length, it can easily be made out of a printed wrap in lawn or cotton fabric with just a few skills at hand. It can also be your next vacation outfit or something to wear to the beach. However, if you are looking for a longer length and something that would resemble a jumpsuit, you could mix and match two separate wraps to get the look.
Via
↓ 1. Saree Pants
We were blown away the minute we saw Mahira Khan walk the New York streets in this exquisite outfit by Sana Safinaz. The outfit, called, Saree Pants, has become a famous choice for many celebrities. Instead of wearing a Saree, the outfit calls for a similar drape that is worn over pants. The colours, prints and the ethereal fabric are all that are making this look so tasteful. If you want to replicate the look, the best way is to do it with a colourful and vibrant silk dupatta and get your own Mahira moment just like that.

The Ultimate Beginners Guide To Bass Fishing
Bass Fishing Tips for Beginners
Whether you want to go bass fishing for, or for just enjoyment you must always need to know the basics. The first thing every beginner need to know about fishing is the nature of fish you are going after. Learning about bass fishing help you to develop skills in catching them. It might seem intimidating to beginners to watch Bassmasters on TV or the “pros” on YouTube to catch bass fish with their skills.
But the Question is still there “How To Catch More Bass Fish”. Fishing for bass is easier than most people think. I have personally talked with some of the best bass fisherman in the U.S. about their secret strategies and techniques, and their favorite locations for catching fishes. In this guide, you will learn Advanced Bass Fishing Tips & Secrets that will help you to become a more successful bass angler.
 Why Bass Fishing
There are a number of reasons to fish for these incredible animals. One of the best reason is that no matter where you live in the country you can easily catch these fishes in Lakes, Rivers, Streams etc.
Bass Fishing Tips
Like every sport, you need to know the best techniques and methods to win the game. Similarly, in Bass Fishing, you need to be always ready for catching a bass.
During Summer the Bass fish mostly hides and you have to be flexible in your fishing skills enough to create your own strategy and make the most out of it.
Save Shredded Worms
Bass Fishes like to fall prey on wounded lures. So, save your shredded worms to catch them at full.  These are perfect for catching bass in shallow water.
Keep it Simple
Don’t start directly by purchasing expensive fishing gadgets for bass instead make it simple and save your money. First, Learn about the latest fishing tactics and equipments. Take a look about fishing equipments here.
My Trusty Tackle Box – Fishing Gear
It is always good to check your tackle box for the latest fishing gears like a fishing rod, spinning reel, lures to handle any kind of situation during bass. You don’t have to be fancy in selecting fishing gadgets. Instead take a look at My Trusty Tackle Box for fishing rods here, affordable spinning reel and last but not least depth finder. My Tackle Box always includes.
Ugly Stik spinning rods
Penn Spinfisher V
Germin Striker 4 GPS
Spinner baits
Crank baits
Plastic worms
If you have the time to go for a read then here is the some of my detailed review about fishing rods, spinning reel, depth finder.
The best thing I like about Ugly Stick is his great sensitivity which you need most in catching bass fish. There are a lot of gear on the market which can help you to enhance your bass fishing skills but if you are totally a newbie then I recommend my Trust tackle box mentioned above to start your trip.
2. Check Weather
When the sun is out and shining full then bass fish looks for shelter. But, when weather is rough, bass will come out of their shelters which will increase the chance of you catching bass. Weather conditions always have a great impact on bass fish. That’s why every angler should have the knowledge of the behavior of bass fish in different weather conditions.
My Personal Tip:  To catch these basses on sunny days go with a bottom bouncing bait like a skirted jig to flip them out of the water.
3.Check Water Temperature
Water temperature can have a great impact on the number of fishes you caught. If you are fishing in cold water then you should throw slower moving lures but if you are going to fish in warmer water then fast lures must be your option.
4.Choose Location
Location? Huh Really.. How is it sound like?  If someone tells you that he will share his secret location to catch more fishes. Always select a good location to catch bass. In fact, if you select a wrong place for fishing, it doesn’t matter how long will be you sitting there and how good you are. God’s will be always against you.
Go to the right lake and you have a good chance of catching as many fishes as you can.
According to a recent study, you can find hundreds of Lakes in America where you can find a ton of bass. I think Lake Fork, Texas is the best Lake to get a ton of bass in 2018.
5.Use Wind
Believe it or not, if it’s bass then wind can be your friend. In most of the time, wind stimulates the bass which increases the chances of their bite on the bait. Never lose hope on windy days until there is a storm coming. Always, make sure that there is some distance between your cast & fish so that they won’t find your boat before your bait.
6.Be Patience
You need to be patient in catching Bass. They are like predators moving from one place to another always looking for baits. So, if you don’t find any fish in one place don’t lose hope and move to the next place. Try different locations.
PRO Tip:  Try to Cast in the Shallow water close to shore. You have more chances of catching bass there than anywhere else.
7.Become a Knot Tying Pro
Whether you are using a high-tech fishing gear or some tips from a professional angler you can’t be successful in catching a fish unless you are good at tying a knot. The Right knot can help you land more fishes without much effort.  You must the type of knot before going to fish. Although it is very hard for some fisherman to decide the knot due to a countless number of fine knots.
Palomar Knot
One of the strongest, fastest & easiest fishing knot every kid was taught when they first try fishing. It works very well with fluorocarbon fishing line. While it is highly recommended for Berkley Fireline. You can have this knot with your hooks and lures directly. You can read or may watch a detailed video tutorial on how to tie a Palomar knot.
Alberto Knot
When Palomar knot doesn’t help you in catching bass then Alberto Knot came handy. It is a fantastic knot and gives you powerful connection for making mono to mono knots or braid to mono. Choice is yours!
It is a money saving knot because you can use this knot with multiple lines together.

5/28/2017
On Monday, I worked with Holly and Sara in the TV studio for a few hours to finish an assignment for our class. We messed something up and will have to go back later in the week to work on it. I spent the rest of the day recovering from the previous night’s long drive and the crazy weekend.
On Tuesday, I finished filming and editing my Trump video (https://youtu.be/xXKIKn2lRv0) and got a lot of work done before accompanying Daniel to the Crawley boat shed for sun set. We were supposed to meet them at the bus stop but the bus came early and we saw them sprint to catch it. We missed it. We met them at the station a bit later and rode the train into Perth. This guy approached Daniel and had a very awkward conversation about him with his tripod. Daniel was using this boat shed as the subject for his photography project and was required to photograph it at different parts of the day. The boat shed was fairly crowded with people at sunset and I flew my drone around it, definitely freaking some people out. It was now dark and we went to Elizabeth Quey, wanting to fly the drone over the large steel bridge and get shots of the skyline. Unfortunately, there was too much metal around and the drone remote kept saying there was too much interference, so we went back to campus. I then helped Holly film her video. I had an important role as the vase puller. She needed her vase to fall over but the vase was too thick for it to happen naturally. Important job, I know.
On Wednesday, Isabel and I suffered through lecture but we couldn’t make it through the tutorial, so we left during the break. He definitely saw us. Brian came over with his homemade sweet potato fries and we worked on bio together. For about an hour, we got work done until Tim and Daniel came over too and it quickly turned unproductive. Unproductive but entertaining.
Thursday started off at 5:30am. Brian, Daniel and I all woke up to catch the sunrise over the boat shed. The morning was a frigid 45 degrees before the sun came up. To our surprise, there were two other people already there when we arrived. Brian and I flew my drone as the sun started to come up and Daniel took his pictures. The sky was clear of clouds and the morning was beautiful. We were slowly warming up and decided to get some breakfast at Macca’s. The boys had gone to watch an European League championship game the night before at 2:00am and had decided to stay up the entire night. So they were starving. We devoured our food and Brian wanted to go to this croissant place nearby for more food. His google maps kept taking us to the wrong place and it took us forever to find it. I got my glasses fixed (just straightened) as he ran around, in search for croissants. He did eventually find the place and after more food, we headed back to campus. All of us were exhausted when we got back and took naps. I woke up an hour later to make it to class. My video was reviewed in class and the teacher approved it, giving it two corrections. I fell back asleep, still exhausted from the morning.
On Friday, Daniel and Brian joined us as we went into Fremantle. We went into a tattoo shop so Brian and Daniel could get quotes on their tattoos. They immediately decided against it once they heard the tattoo would cost $300-400 dollars. The guy was really nice and told them it would be cheaper if they waited until they got back to the states to get a tattoo. We then went into a few stores to find Daniel an acceptable shirt to wear to tomorrow’s party. He found one in Cotton On and Brian got a matching one. We shopped a bit more before heading back to campus, making a quick stop at the bottle shop for some goon. Tim met us on campus and we all headed to the rec room for the International Food Festival the village was having. We met Holly and Hannah there and this event was easily the village’s most popular event. Tons of people stood around as we waited for the go ahead to start getting food. There wasn’t much vegetarian options but I was able to find a delicious lasagne and a veggie burger. We sat on the couches and ate as a live band played music. The band was good and they played until we had finished eating our desert. It then got a bit weird and the hip hop team came out and put on a show. And then a different band came on and it turned into a middle school dance. So we ditched. The guys came back to our room and we played round after round of asshole until kicking the boys out.
On Saturday, Isabel went on her first AIFS group event. So proud! They toured the tunnels underneath the Fremantle Prison. I slept in. Later on that night, we were going to a party at Hannah’s apartment. They had nicknamed it ‘Tying the Knot’ and had planned to do a fake ceremony to marry Hannah to Barry. The ‘reception’ would then take place at the Aviary - a rooftop bar in Perth. Holly came over due to boredom and as we got ready to go out, she refused to let me wear the sweater I had chosen. And then we realized there was a rip in the back of my pants. So Holly went and got me a new shirt and a sewing kit and proceeded to sew up my jeans and my jacket that also had a huge rip. This is the third pair of jeans I’ve ripped here and we’re convinced the washers here are ruining our jeans. Holly had an early morning Sunday and hadn’t planned on coming out with us, but we convinced her to join. Daniel and Brian came over with their matching shirts, followed by Tim and Kosuke. We loaded up our water bottles with goon and headed over to Hannah’s. The party was fun. We played games of rage cage and flip cup before Tim and Stiv walked down the aisle and Kosuke gave away Hannah to Barry. Courtney officiated the fake marriage, making sure they vowed to love each other through fat and skinny, through A’s and D’s, through single digit likes and double digit likes, and through stylish or not. They kissed and we all headed to the bus stop to make our way into Perth. As we waited for the train, Brian was a little too drunk and falling over in his chair. Hannah slapped him to wake him up and Daniel was in charge of making sure he wasn't on the ground. He got it together on the train ride and was fine as we walked towards the Aviary. The Aviary was adorable and I loved being outside as we danced the night away. The music they played was great and we got to witness Tim slay on the dance floor. We caught the midnight train back and stopped at Macca’s along the way to satisfy the need for fries. We took an Uber back to village and said goodbye to everyone as we retreated to our beds.
Sunday was filled with work. I woke up early and headed to the library to study with Brian. We grinded through most of our Bio questions and took a break for lunch. I met Sara and Holly again to finish out TV studio assignment but we ran into problem after problem in the studio. By some miracle, we were able to finish the assignment. It wasn’t our best work, but we’d given up after hours of trying to figure it out. We then headed to the rec room for free pizza and a showing of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. The pizza was good and the bean bags we were sitting on were insanely comfortable. So much so, Isabel and I almost fell asleep. Brian and Daniel played on the piano in the rec room after the movie and Brian was actually fairly good. We left them after realizing they were gonna stay awhile. This was quite the week.
P.S. For anyone wondering about the card mystery, THEY’RE STILL MISSING
