he agrees, and this is already a major show of trust. showing his face to you for hours on end, where you can see his every flaw and oddity. its torture, sitting there and just thinking about what you see. but he doesnt want to break up the session, knows he wont come back if he does.

when simon actually sees the painting? hes...unsure what to think. its him, undeniably him. his short blonde curls, his crooked nose from being broken, his myriad of scars. you painted each one, meticulous. but...it doesnt feel bad, seeing his face how you see it. the scars are there, you dont try to disguise them, but you dont make them look gruesome or 'cool' either. they are simply another part of him, painted with the same care as his freckles and soft lashes.

he tears up a bit, seeing himself not as a monster or a victim, but just the man you love. each brushtroke reverent and true. ur in the middle of telling him how you plan to get it framed but wont display it without his permission, when he asks "can i kiss you?"

ofc you comply, pressing into him soft and warm. theres no rush when you lead him to bed, you take your time tracing the planes of his face with ur thumb the same way ur brush had not long ago. when u sink down onto simon, he whines, eyes closing tight and whispering so small you barely hear it "thank you...thank you. i love you."
