So my lawnmower somehow miraculously decided to return from the dead......

......now that most of the grass is too thick for it to cut.

The thing is 21 years old, it screams in terror and shuts off if the grass is higher than one's ankles.

So guess who's weed eating the back yard in fifteen minute intervals between charging the battery for an hour at a time?

Yeah. It's me.

Also, the grass is so damned thick that apparently a colony of moths has taken up residence its dark depths. I'm causing a homelessness crisis for an entire colony of moths. I love moths so this is upsetting for more reasons than one.

No snakes so far. I can and will throw the weed eater and run away screaming like a small child if I encounter a snake. Would wear my Big Ol' Goth Boots for added ankle and shin protection, but it has been damn near 100°F outside all day with a heat index of +10 to 15F, so frankly, fuck that.

If I go out doing yard work, I guess that's how I go out.

Then I suppose one could say...I fought the lawn, and the lawn won.
