I didn't expect much from Star Wars Celebration, but I wanted to see news about Visions 3 and HOLY SHIT WE'RE GETTING MORE F.

Got myself a physical copy of the Around the Spider-Verse graphic novel and finished reading the Anya Corazon/Araña story in it.

I kinda want to do a post giving my thoughts on it but for now there are two things I want to gush about. Be aware that there might be some spoilers.

I like the design to Anya's civilian look, especially her hair. This might be one of my favorite Anya designs that I've seen in a long time. It's cool that she has longer hair in her civilian outfit rather than having shorter hair like in the comics. While I like her OG look as Araña, these designs feel somewhat refreshing for a character who has been around for 2 decades now.

2. While her story in the graphic novel is a reintroduction of sorts to her as Araña, I think that it does her justice, especially with her spider powers. This is the first time in years where she's portrayed having both organic webbing and her carapace and I really appreciated it.

Another thing and maybe it's me but, I think this might one of the better Anya stories that I have seen outside of the comics. She's one of my favorite fictional characters and an incredibly underrated character in the Spider-Verse. A part of me hopes that more people find out about this graphic novel and discover Anya Corazon in the process, but that might be wishful thinking.

some batgirls thoughts. i really enjoyed the 2020 (?) batgirls run where they live in a warehouse together and Babs uses a cane and Cass gets really into Poe and Steph wears just some of the best outfits ever. SO. my civvies designs, some theoretical winter costumes, and my desperate attempt to merge their 400 different costumes into two coherent ones. like seriously it seems like 90s steph changed her costume every other day.
