Loco of the Day: Hunslet Works No.3806 Wilbert!
"Hard work is important, so is being a clean engine."
Despite being the exact opposite of his brother Warrior, the two don't bump heads. He's kind and agreeable. He does tend to grumble about the state of his brother's paintwork though.

What's the oldest character you have that you still actively use? (and not just keep around because of nostalgia and bc you can't let go of old characters) Bonus points: Compare them to your newest babe!
Oldest one still in use would technically be my fursona, which is my first ever created character (2002) and still highly in use. But not counting my fursona, it is Carmen (created in 2003) who was my second OC ever created and although I don’t draw her as much as I should/want, she is still around and used. :3
The newest one is not that easy to answer. Because I technically have a lot of characters which I kind of “know” exist, but I really create them only if I need them or I’m motivated to do so. So the character is kind of old and new.
To better explain what I mean, I explain it on the “newest” designed character of mine.
Wilbert
Based on his looks you probably can guess which family he is a part of. He is the grandson of Winfried, and Friedrike’s father. :)
The character is older in the sense of “to get from Winfried to Friedrike, there needs to be Winfried’s daughter, who marries this one grass lizard, resulting in Friedrike’s father having a long tail and stripes, and then he has to marry a chicken, so Friedrike can have the design she has”. But I never really designed, elaborated or named Wilbert until very recently.
I hope it is understandable what I mean. I don’t know who is truly my newest character in the sense of having the idea for the character’s existence.
Now for the comparison. Well, kind of a huge difference, since Carmen works as a spy, living in a modern or even futuristic world and Wilbert is a scholar, living in a medieval kind of world. But they are actually from the same planet, just many years apart and it is actually possible Wilbert is some kind of ancestor of Carmen, or at least their families were intertwined somewhere in the past.
Creation wise, I created Carmen from scratch, I wanted a lizard character (a character who actually has limbs, unlike my fursona, haha), so I created one, completely free from any world in mind. Wilbert was created with an already established world and family in mind, so there were way more boundaries concerning his design, personality and story.
