i was looking for gifs of the animations of clippy from windows 98 and i couldn't find any, so i made this ones!

ps: i made the gifs, not the animations! the animations are from a youtube video i found, i just cut them and cropped them to fit, the only thing i added was the windows window!

I've annotated the Windows 95 boot animation: The screen doesn't update any pixels once it's initially drawn, instead the VGA palette just has a subsection (colors 236-255) that's rotated, saving on CPU cycles during the loading screen. This is animated at the correct speed: 7 frames at 70hz, so 0.1 seconds per frame.

And this one is slowed down to 0.5 seconds per frame to let you better see the color changes.

Man, I'd love to find a way to actually insert artwork of myself as the installation wizard into Windows 95's wizard system. That'd be cool, but for now this mock-up artwork will suffice.

Just thinking how if Jon and Martin are uploaded into the computer, and if the myth of Sergey Ushanka is true in the Magnus universe, and if the 'statements' they read out are a way of them thinking and trying to communicate, then do the angles cut them when they try to think? Does it peel their mind like knives? Are they thinking "there’s no feeling, but the no feeling hurts"? Or "it’s cold without blood"?
