Willy Wonka x reader
Words: 961
I am loving all the Wonka love I'm seeing, every time I write for a new character I wonder if anyone will actually request for them so seeing people request for Willy Wonka truly makes me heart melt
Tumblr media
Abacus, Piper, Larry Chucklesworth, Lottie Bell, Noodle and you stood in a straight line across from Mrs.Scrubbit as she peered from behind the counter.
What you thought was going to be a tiresome scolding from the woman turned into something unexpected as she laid pounds of money out on the table. She first stated how Mr.Wonka had settled a deal with Mr.Slugworth covering all your bills. And one by one she went down the line addressing every individual until it was just you and Noodle left.
“It’s funny,” Scrubbit says as she stares at the last pile in front of her before glaring directly at you, “Mr.Slugworth didn’t seem to leave a single sovereign for you. Guess you're not important eh?”
You stilled, unable to believe your own ears as Scrubbit smirked at your disheartened reaction. “…this must be some sort of mistake,” you muttered before getting cut off.
“—No mistake at all,” she grinned a toothy grin, “in fact your name didn’t come up at all. So don’t just stand there. Back to work with you,” she ushers and stunned you look around trying to wake yourself from this nightmare that you found yourself trapped in.
“Go.”
With a wave of her hand, you walked past them shutting the door behind you. “Now, for our dearest Noodle…” you heard her voice fade away as you walked to the laundry room in a daze.
You could not believe this was happening. Of course this would happen to you. You shook your head unable to stop the thoughts from swirling as you walked down the hallway past all the now empty rooms, past your own room until you came to the laundry doors.
Climbing down the steps and looking around at the now lifeless room, it was impossible for you to do anything but dwell on the whole situation.
You were stuck here. Alone.
Being here with a group was one thing but alone? That was something you wouldn’t ever wish upon your greatest enemy, (that is if you had one).
This had to be an error. Why would everyone else be free except for you? It didn’t make any sense.
Then your mind slipped back to what Mrs.Scrubbit said about Willy making the deal.
Did he know you were to stay back? No he couldn’t have. Right? Right. You tried to assure yourself before you even had the chance to doubt him any further. That man was too good and too precious for him to accept this deal knowing you’d continue to be held captive like this.
You went back and forth, replaying Mrs.Scrubbit’s words, trying to figure out what could’ve happened.
Was Mrs.Scrubbit right? Were you just unimportant?
Your mind goes back to those few late evening conversations that you’ve shared with Willy. It was kind of silly for you to think anything from that. It was foolish in general for you to think so much of the young man, especially when you’ve only known him for a short period. But you couldn’t help but feel hurt.
Was it that easy to forget you and move on?
Maybe all those experiences just meant something to you.
You could only grind your teeth as you dove deeper and deeper into your self deprecating thoughts. It was difficult to pull yourself out when there was nothing else or knowone else to distract you.
Your thoughts silenced as a screaming pile of bedsheets fell down the chute landing with a hard thud.
The fabric shifted and you spotted familiar brown curls pop out followed by Willy’s head. “I can’t wait for that to be over,” you heard him say as he grunted while climbing out from the chute.
“Willy…” you let out, more surprised than anything to see him.
“Come with me, we’re getting you out of here,” he declared, running up to you without wasting a beat, “we already gathered everyone else, so let’s go.”
He runs back to the chute, waving for you to come over and you do so. Willy prepares an empty cloth bag as well as some laundry so you have a gentler landing and he then pats the empty spot.
You prop yourself up occupying the chute and with your legs bent you hug them close as he scrambles to tug the bag up over your legs.
Thinking about it now, your wandering beliefs were all so idiotic, but for some reason in that moment, you couldn’t stop them from slipping past your lips.
“I thought you were going to leave me behind,” you chuckled.
You meant for it to sound as just a childish passing statement but Willy immediately paused his movements, his arms coming to rest on both sides of the chute around your legs.
“I’d never leave you behind,” he voiced.
It was impossible to stop a tiny shy smile from spreading onto your lips, “yeah, I know but, I don’t know it was just a passing thought.”
“Hey,” he lowered himself to meet you at eye level as you sat, “I would never leave you behind,” he repeated his statement from earlier, his tone soft and delicate yet firm.
It was a simple phrase, but coming from him it meant something to you.
A new concern popped into your head, “wait, what about the contract?” You questioned, suddenly worried about the consequences that would follow.
Willy replied with a smile that told you he already had an answer ready, “don’t worry about that, we have a plan.”
You nodded, allowing yourself to trust the boy before he wrapped your head tying a simple knot.
“I’ll see you on the other side,” he said, giving your leg an affectionate pat before sending you on your way out.

The Secret Ingredient (Willy Wonka (2023) x Fickelgruber Daughter) Chapter 1: Mystery Man
Tumblr media
Today is different. I don’t know why, but ever since I woke up there’s been something different. I don’t know what’s in store for today but there’s no doubt that something’s coming.
“Dear, I need you to run down and fetch me the paper.” Father calls lazily from his lounge chair.
I feel my heart leap. “Really? I can go downstairs?”
“Be quick! Don’t make a scene!” Father barks as he sips his morning cocoa.
Before he can reconsider I rush to the staircase and am about to slide down the railing-!
“And act ladylike!” Father calls from behind me.
I stop in my tracks and remember who I am. “Fine,” I grumble under my breath. My life’s been dull as dishwater until now anyway. Why change?
My name is Charlotte Fickelgruber, daughter of one of the most powerful chocolatiers in the world. But do not let that fool you. Just because my father’s a chocolatier doesn’t mean life is fun.
After taking forever to walk slowly and ‘ladylike’ down the stairs I fight my giddiness and strut towards the door. Father hardly ever lets me go downstairs, let alone leave the building. The usual display of chocolates is still plain and dull since father saves the best chocolate only for ‘upscale business,’ which basically means upperclassmen and bribery. The shop opens at 10am as usual and also as usual there are few customers here due to the usual chocolate. Today there’s a fair amount of foot traffic buzzing around outside in the Galeries Gourmet and it’s all I can do not to venture out and see what new chocolates are being sold.
“Morning, charcoal,” two voices taunt in unison.
I groan and turn to face two girls in matching mint mint green dresses. “Morning Cindy, morning Mindy. For the last time, my name is Charlotte. Not charcoal, not Charlie, Charlotte. If you both want to keep your silly job of greeting customers with fake smiles I suggest you treat the heiress to Fickelgruber chocolate with respect.”
They both snicker and walk off to the back of the store, more than likely to check their makeup for the tenth time. Such rudeness.
“Here you are, miss!” The paperboy sprints up and waves our daily paper up for me to grab.
“Thank you, Timothy!” I hand him the change (with a special tip, of course). “How’s the world out there?”
He shrugs and shuffles his feet. “It’s alright, I guess. Starting to get cold!” He grips his bag and rushes off.
“B- Bye!” I wave as he disappears into the crowd. “See you… later?”
And so goes another failed attempt to make friends.
“Everything alright, Miss Fickelgruber?” Our maid Lottie asks from behind.
I give a heavy sigh. “Charlotte please, Lottie. You know how much I hate being a Fickelgruber. It’s torture to spell and even worse to hear. It’s just…” I glance up again to look out at the passerbys. “I’m so tired of being alone. Dad’s too embarrassed to have me be too social. He can’t expect me to stay tucked away upstairs forever!”
Lottie shakes her head and puts a hand on my shoulder. “It’s not my place, miss. But if it gives any comfort-” She takes a quick look to make sure we’re alone and whispers: “I could try to sneak you out one day.”
My pulse skips and I hold up my hands to keep her from saying more. “No. No! I can’t let you do that! You’ll get fired. Last time I tried to sneak out dad nearly flipped out! He hates it when I’m even on the same ground as the ‘poor’ people, let alone trying to associate with them!”
Lottie nods in silent agreement and goes about with her load of laundry, leaving me to keep looking outside. All those people, all the sights and smells I’m missing out on…
“Ladies and gentlemen!”
A cheerful voice across the room catches my attention. It’s surprisingly animated for the Galeries Gourmet. I take a deep breath and, in a hasty moment of courage, walk out the door to search for the voice’s origin. I see people gathering towards the front near the empty lot. What on Earth-?
That’s when I spot him. At first all I can see is a brown top hat. Once I get closer a better view presents a lanky, boyish man wearing a tattered magenta overcoat, olive-colored waistcoat, brown scarf, tan trousers, and worn brown boots. I can’t quite make out his face…
“Step right up! I’ve got just the chocolate for you!”
He’s standing on a simple crate with nothing more than a jar of strange-looking chocolate. The crowd drowns him out and I can’t squeeze past-!
“Well, there's chocolate.
And there's chocolate.
But only Wonka's makes your eyes pop out their sockelets.”
Singing? What an unusual way of advertisement. And what’s- Oh my! The chocolate is flying! Literally flying over my head!
“Put your hand into your pockelet,
Get yourself some Wonka chocolate!
Come now, I insist!
You've never had chocolate like this!
No, you've never had chocolate like this!”
Through the gathered crowd I see people pluck the chocolates from the sky and- fly? They’re flying! Light as a feather!
“Oh my goodness!” My jaw drops. “How’s that even possible…?”
“Charlotte!”
I spin around at the sound of my name. By now the commotion has caught much attention, including my father’s.
“Go inside now! What have I told you about walking about with-?”
“With our customers?” I ask. “Father, I wanted to see-”
“Go, now!” He barks and points to the store as he goes to follow the other chocolatiers. “I must go see what all this racket is about.”
And there they go. The big three: Fickelgruber, Prodnose, and Slugworth. I’m the only heiress of any of them but as of now there’s been no talk of me getting to help out with the family business. Father always waves it off and keeps saying ‘when you’re older,’ so I’ve got no clue what to expect.
I sigh in defeat and walk away from the excitement. Just when I thought this day was different. Back inside, I mope over to the window to see-
“Jeez louise!” My mouth drops open.
There, just above me, is my father. Flying! Just like the others! I pinch myself and shake my head to see if I’m awake and still see him levitating up to the ceiling!
“Lottie are you seeing this? It’s amazing!” I look down and relocate the man in the top hat, and I’m overcome with a sudden urge to meet him. He doesn’t look like a high-class highbrow. How is he making everyone so happy?
I forget all about being ladylike and slide down the railing, rushing to find the mystery candy man before he disappears.
“Out of the way! Coming through!” The chief of police barges through and the cops spread out.
“But he didn’t do anything wrong!” I complain.
“He’s disrupting business,” Officer Affable informs me.
“It’s the hoverchoc,” the man in the top hat explains.
Hoverchoc? I’ve never heard of-
Just then, father storms up and ushers the officer to go after the man. “Come, Charlotte.”
“B- But I wanted to-”
“Such nonsense!” Father ignores my pleas and starts mumbling to himself.
“Father…who was that? Did you just fly? I could barely see from the window-!”
“He is no one,” father states clearly. “He is a fool to think that he can even try to compete with us! I do not want you going anywhere near that boy, Charlotte. He’s bad news.”
We get back to the store, but before I’m dragged back inside I sneak one last look at the mysterious stranger. Who is he? Will he be able to survive dad’s competition?

The next day, for half of a moment upon awakening, she thought the whole past month had been a dream. That she’d go on living in her unpierced golden cage, that there was nothing revealed and nothing to reveal, that things could be fine for a little while longer.
Then she heard the blaring vocal warmups of the comedian who lived down the hall.
…Okay, then.
It’s real.
She stayed up in Piper’s room, hoping to escape notice from the owners of the establishment, whom she’d never seen but hated due to their imprisonment of her friends. She’d warned them all the previous night that the Chocolate Cartel had seemed about to propose a surely sinister deal to Wonka-regrettably all but Noodle, who was asleep, and who she thought would probably take the hit the hardest, whatever hit that might be.
She wasn’t sure where to go from here.
Willy had wound up under the thumb of men who would gladly destroy him, the wash crew was nowhere near the freedom they deserved, and she herself was disgraced and thrown out by the only practical lifeline she’d had for two years, the man she’d thought she’d loved.
She realized, though, that the chain of actions that led to finally standing up to Felix was the first thing she’d done in two years that she didn’t regret.
That new sense of assurance, though, wouldn’t put any food on her family’s table.
Or her own.
And still, the thrumming in the back of her heart took the form of olive eyes, soft curls, and chocolate-dot freckles. How much danger was he in? Had he really lost all hope?
Was he even alive?
The only venture she’d made that morning was a careful one to Lottie’s room; the telephonist had snuck her a bit of gruel and told her she could borrow some of her clothes for the day. When she got back to Piper’s, she heard a large clank against the wall, and opened the window to investigate.
She was met with those same olive eyes, accompanied by a tired but teasing smile.
“We have really got to stop meeting like this.”
Relief flooded her so thoroughly that every rational thought momentarily disappeared, and suddenly Wren realized that she was kissing him.
And that he was kissing her back.
And that he was very precariously perched on a very tall ladder.
“I, ah…”
She trailed off, struck speechless by the haze in his expression that could be described in no way but adoring.
“You’re alive,” she breathed. “You’re here.”
“So are you.”
“And you feel the same way?”
“Very much so.”
Apparently unable to form any longer sentences, they fell into shaking, half-disbelieving laughter.
“Wrap it up, Romeo, a person can only keep this steady for so long,” came Piper’s voice from below, and Willy laughed again.
“Alright, I-well.”
“Yeah?”
She watched him run through the events of the past hours in his mind as he tried to sum it up, and he quickly shook his head.
“Come on down, we’ll all explain what happened. Then we need your help to rescue Noodle.”
~
And so they did. Once the whole crew had been informed of all that had happened, they planned and began to carry out their heist, and Wren-while still fully aware of the danger-allowed part of herself to be thrilled at finally having adventures with a found, created family like she’d read about all her life.
There were a few variables, of course-there was a plan for if Willy and Noodle were caught by the Cartel and a plan for if they weren’t, which, of course, they were. Wren flitted through various windows enough to throw a surely-still-reeling Felix slightly off his game, enough that he’d gladly drown his thoughts in the planted Hoverchocs. She also misdirected those who somehow weren’t distracted by the giraffe, allowing the Oompa-Loompa to enter the cathedral and do his part.
What she wasn’t expecting to do was help him to rescue the pair from death by chocolate.
She’d started to make her way out of the cathedral when she heard a shout of “thank you, little orange man!” from under the ground. Puzzled, she’d looked down to see a chocolate-drenched Noodle and Willy gasping for breath under a circle of glass and flooring as the brown liquid receded. She startled, then quickly came to her wits in time to break the surface and pull each of them through, all three falling into each other’s arms.
“What-”
“Oh, God-”
“What on earth-”
“Thanks, Wren-”
“What happened?”
“The plan,” Willy said, pausing to clear his throat of chocolate, “ran into a few setbacks.”
“I can see that.”
“But,” and here he reached into his vest to produce a large and somewhat soaked envelope, “I brought you this, from the vault.”
Wren opened it carefully to see that its contents were luckily mostly untouched by chocolate. Half of them she recognized as what she’d sent to her family, the things that Felix had withheld, but the rest of the envelopes were graced with her mom’s handwriting.
She’d thought she’d cried more in the past days than ever before, but apparently there were still plenty of tears left, and they all threatened to break loose upon that sight.
They’ve been writing to me all this time.
It was devastating and hopeful all at once. Her husband had spent two years keeping her from contacting her family and keeping them from the reassurance that she cared, but now that she had the letters, she could finally start to make things right.
Also in the massive envelope was a shinier letter, addressed to her from the city’s opera house, stating that a new artistic director had been hired: one who didn’t live in fear of the Cartel, had programmed Romeo et Juliette for the upcoming season, and wished nothing more than for Madame Fickelgruber to play the second title role. Not because of her association, not her relative fame, but her.
She hurriedly looked at the postage date; it wasn’t too late for her to write back and accept.
It’s not too late.
The thought, and its application to just about everything, filled her with light.
She didn’t know why Felix had kept all of this instead of throwing it out; possibly to feed his own ego, to know that his wife was in demand but he was the one that had her. Whatever it was, Willy had found the truth and held it even when he’d thought all was lost, and given it to her the moment he’d had the chance.
“And we found out why Slugworth was acting so weird,” Noodle said excitedly, still catching her breath. “We’re related, if you can believe it-but my parents really did care-and my mom, we-we found her!”
“Oh, Noodle, that’s wonderful,” she gasped, pulling the girl into a hug.
“Yeah, Willy managed to find her name in the ledger-but even after that, he kept looking around the vault until he found that envelope. Said it was for you-that we’d find your family, too.”
Tears brimmed in Wren’s eyes as she nodded to the girl with a smile of sweet solidarity. She then looked over to meet Willy’s gaze, more grateful than she’d ever been, and saw that he’d been watching her with a compassionate blend of sympathy and shared hope.
“Thank you,” she breathed, and kissed him again, heedless of the mess. “I know this will come as no surprise, but-”
“I taste like chocolate?”
“I could get used to it.”
“Okay, WE GET IT,” came Noodle’s laugh, “you like each other, it finally happened, hallelujah. Now-look!”
They all turned to the door to see the unmistakable silhouettes of the Cartel, and Willy grinned. It was time for the final phase of their plan.
The three misfits helped each other off the ground and made their way to the cathedral’s entrance, just in time to hear Prodnose’s “in which they died” followed by the men’s laughter.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that.”
All heads turned at his voice, and Wren grinned to see all three chocolatiers pale at the sight of them.
“Wonka!” shouted Slugworth.
“Florence,” formed Fickelgruber.
“What?” piped Prodnose.
“Officer, would you kindly take a look at this?”
Willy handed the ledger he’d held to Officer Affable, and Noodle smiled as she stepped forward.
“It details every single illegal payment these men have ever made. Thousands of them.”
“Affable, don’t listen to her. She’s lying,” the Chief said, but Affable had already opened the ledger.
“Well, of course she is,” said Slugworth, his clear nervousness betraying him. Wren smirked and looked back to Affable.
“She’s not, sir. She’s absolutely right, it’s…incredible.”
The Chief blinked, then tried as he might to take back control.
“Oh. Well. Then it sounds like a case for the Chief of Police. Give it to me, Affable, I’ll take it from here.”
“I can’t do that, I’m afraid, sir.”
“And why’s that?”
“Because your name’s written down here, sir. A lot. Gentlemen, you’re under arrest,” he said, addressing the Cartel with the latter statement.
Slugworth nodded slightly, his eyes widening, and barely turned to his colleagues when he spoke to them.
“Run.”
And run they did, but they didn’t get far. Gasps went up in the crowd as the Chocolate Cartel took to the air once again, and the other trio strolled down to the base of the fountain.
“Wha-what’s happening,” Slugworth cried, “why are we airborne?”
“You didn’t eat any of those chocolates, did you, Mr. Slugworth?” Willy asked, knowing full well that he’d won.
God, certainty looked good on him.
“Why?”
“Because they’re Hoverchocs! Delayed action. But extra strong.”
“Florence!-” Felix called, the adrenaline of flight having pitched his voice up nearly an octave as he grabbed onto Prodnose’s leg with one hand and reached to her with the other. “Just forget it all, my pet, I’ll forgive you in time, don’t worry, we’ll get rid of him again and all will be well-”
He always was one for the dramatics.
And that’s something I can easily match.
She looked straight at him, made a show of removing her wedding ring, held it aloft until it glinted in the sun, and let it go, allowing it to tumble through the air and land directly on the edge of a convenient storm drain.
Felix let out a strangled gasp, his eyes not on her but rather trailing the expensive ring as it fell. From his vantage point, it was gone forever in that drain, and she was happy to let him believe that; she’d pick it up later and send it to her family.
Though, perhaps, with her dream off to a real start, she’d finally be able to make her own way in the world and help to support her family on her own accord.
That thought was sweeter than any amount of candy.
“You think you’re so clever, don’t you, Wonka?” Slugworth was saying. He went on to rattle off assurances on how the Cartel could still defeat him, a frantic gloat of their societal power over him, but Wren barely heard it; she was becoming progressively more distracted by Willy’s slight and slowly growing smirk.
“I wish I’d thought of that.”
Then, with something close to darkness, he looked up at them through the chocolate that framed his eyelashes, and Wren thought for a moment that she might faint.
Noodle gave her signal, the ground started to rattle, and Wren’s heart beat faster and faster.
No going back now.
She took a last look at Felix, feeling strangely sorry for him despite herself. In another world, perhaps, he could have been given the space to regard his humble past without shame, could have used it to become a more compassionate person.
Then she reminded herself that, in this world, he had tried to kill two people and had possibly already killed many more, spent his life prioritizing appearance over literally anything else, lied to her countless times, and allowed his chocolate monopoly to uphold an elitist society.
And this world was the one she lived in.
And this world was the one in which the frozen fountain burst with chocolate, rocketing the three men who’d clung to it up and out until they were sailing through the sky.
“Don’t worry, gentlemen!” Willy was calling to them. “You’ll come down eventually, I think. Probably.”
He then turned to her and whispered, “they will.” Through all of this, he still refused to completely harm anyone. The bare minimum, perhaps, but more compassion than the Cartel would have faced opposite any other foe. She smiled and squeezed his hand in silent thanks.
With that, he threw a few ingredients into the chocolate fountain, causing it to sparkle as it never had before, and invited the crowd to enjoy.
As the wash crew came together in relief and celebration, Wren realized that the teasing phrase she’d spoken earlier had more meaning than she’d originally known.
She could indeed get used to this.
~
Not too much of a time later, that same group stood in that same town square on those same cathedral steps, but there was something different in the air.
The Cartel had indeed come safely down from the skies after a few hours on that fateful day, and had promptly been arrested by the newly appointed and much more just Chief Affable of Police. There was more color in the town, more music; everything had seemed a bit lighter, or maybe that was just how it felt to be genuinely living in love.
Because now, Wren Matterson was able to write back and forth with her family again. Now, she was in rehearsals for a role she adored. Now, she was coming into a state of self-empowerment unlike anything she’d ever known. Now, she spent time not perched restless on a fainting couch, but laughing with and learning from a better group of friends than she ever could have imagined, and had even worked together to reunite one of them with her own mom, which they were just about to do.
And right now, in this very moment, Willy Wonka, with tears of grateful closure in his eyes, carefully broke apart his mother’s last chocolate bar, handing a piece of it to each of these dear, dear friends. He then looked to Wren with an expression she was still bowled over by every time, and reached into his pocket.
With a soft but sparkling smile, he opened his hand to reveal an emerald-wrapped, heart-shaped almond milk chocolate.
So, no, Wren Matterson was no longer fine. She was so much better than fine.
She was free.

Okay okay i came ip w this idea bc I have BADDD reoccurring hiccups that NEVERR go away literally since i was in the mf womb.
What if the reader is teying EVERYTHINGGG to get rid of their hiccups n Wonka makes a chocolate to help?? Idk just an idea 😓💔
This is so cute!
Bad Case of the Hiccups
Tumblr media
I woke up with the hiccups. I was frustrated about it but it was fine. It usually goes away after an hour or so. I continued my day like normal, I got dressed and did my daily routine. I went and continued my day at the laundry mat. “Good morning, y/n.” Piper responded with a smile.
“Morni-” I hiccuped again for what seemed to be the millionth time this morning. I saw that Piper and Lottie stifle a laugh. I playfully glared at them and got back to work.
Willy entered the room and his eyes light up when he saw me like they always did since he met me. Mine did as well and just his presence put a smile on my face. His usual smile on his face always made my heart flutter and he approached me. “Hello y/n!” I didn’t say anything and gave him a tight lipped smile. I was afraid if I said anything that I would hiccup again, that would be embarrassing. He took notice of my silence and asked concerned “What’s wrong?”
“Y/n has the hiccups.” Piper told him from across the room loudly. Thank you, Piper. I thought without an ounce of sarcasm.
He looked concerned before he seemed to get an idea. “I’ll be right back.” He left without further explanation in a rush. I looked at him curiously before shrugging it off.
“Why don’t we try to find ways to get rid of your hiccups? I think that I know a few ways that could help.” Piper suggested with Lottie nodding in agreement.
“Alright, why *hiccup* not?” I shrugged done with the hiccups.
I tried a variety of things. I tried drinking ice cold water, bite a lemon (which is disgusting by itself), pulled my knees to my chest and leaned forward, held my breath, and breathed into a paper bag but none of it seemed to work. I was about to give up until I saw Willy rush back in holding a single piece of chocolate and hand it to me. “Try this, it should help with your hiccups.” I took it and popped it into my mouth without hesitation. I trusted Willy, if he can make people fly he can cure my hiccups. Sure enough he did and it was delicious as usual. He’s such a sweetheart. How could anyone not love him?

Lottie: Do you know that it’s been a couple years since I’ve talked to anybody?
Willy: That’s okay. You’re good at it. You’re not boring, don’t mumble or spit when you talk. You should do it more often and smile. You have a wonderful smile.

I can imagine that Willy’s and Lottie’s daughter (my oc) would look like this. Her name is Lillie Wonka.
Tumblr media
I chose Lillie because it’s a combination of Willy and Lottie, I thought that it was cute.

Hii! I just saw Wonka for the first time and I loved it, everything was soo good I’d love to request something. Could I request something with Wonka x fem!(or gn)reader in which reader comforts him after everything goes wrong with his shop? He was so sad and it broke my heart when he said that his mum didn’t show up and everything was just a stupid dream, I wanted to give him a hug so bad. Feel free to ignore this if it doesn’t inspire you ofc, have a great day 💞
I Believe In You

Love love love this request💖sorry I suck at angst but I hope you still like it
Tumblr media
None of you could’ve ever predicted what just took place.
Melted chocolate and burned candies surrounded all around as you stood there in disbelief.
The crowd that quickly grew to love Wonka’s chocolates turned on them just as quickly. All because of something that wasn’t even his fault.
You, along with the few others who helped, stood, unsure where to go from here. Noodle ran to Wonka trying her best to motivate him, but Abacus gently encouraged her to give him some time before he left. Then Piper left, and one by one the others followed.
You stuck close to them, about to take your own departure and leave the chocolatier to his own thinkings, but you stopped in your tracks giving it another thought. You couldn’t just leave him there. It wouldn’t be right.
So back you walked and you parked yourself beside him.
You sat there noiseless, as you were unconfident of your next words. What do you say to a man who’s lost so much.
“Willy this is just a minor setback,” you start.
“No it’s not. This all is just some stupid dream and it didn’t even work. She didn’t even show up.”
Your brows furrowed together, the crease between them deepening. You know grief is difficult and different for everyone, no one reacts the same way and you knew Willy truly believed his mother would appear. Although you didn’t know Willys mother personally it broke your heart to see him like this.
“She wouldn’t break a promise,” he whispered more to himself with his eyes downcast.
You made a little, hm, noise pondering on your next words, “…maybe this wasn’t the time.”
Willy’s eyes finally raise, meeting yours and although they still hold emptiness in them you can spot the tiniest glint of curiosity.
“Think about it. Things went wrong, horribly wrong. I mean it could not have gone any more wrong,” you said getting louder with every sentence and Willy couldn’t help but spit out a single self deprecating laugh at how true your words were.
“So maybe this wasn’t the time…we try again and when things are right it will happen,” you say sounding more positive than you expected yourself to be, “she will be there. Maybe not in the way you think, but she’ll be there.”
“And what if she’s not.”
“And what if she is.” You said raising your brow in questioning. He seems to mull your comments over.
“If not for yourself, do it for Abacus. Do it for Piper; Chucklesworth, Lottie, Noodle…do it for me. You have touched all of our hearts. You make us believe in our own dreams because you’re so passionate about yours. Even if you have to start everything all over again we will be right there starting over with you. So just…don’t give up. Please.”
Willy peers up at you, his expression still disheartened. He knew you meant well and he appreciated you for that. It did help to know he had a group of capable people following behind him.
Willy loved making chocolate, that is a fact that would never change. The way his chocolate affects people is beyond all imagination. But to start over, especially after he disappointed you all. He wasn’t entirely sure if he could do that again.
You wait patiently as he sits there in thought. “Willy,” your hand rests on his giving it an assuring squeeze. “I will be right here with you.”
Willy finally expresses an appreciative smile while he turns his hand in yours, squeezing it back.
With his cheeks a bit rosy from either the embarrassment he felt or the warmth of encouragement you gave him, he says, “it’ll take some time.”
You nod, “then it’ll take some time, that’s fine. Whatever you need.”
Willy didn’t know exactly how it would all workout but he could tell you truly believed it to be true and because of that…he started to believe it too.

Too Sick To Celebrate
Tumblr media
Willy Wonka x reader
Words: 1253
Tumblr media
You were fine. It was all fine. Everything was fine.
Is what you told yourself as you felt a cold chill run down your body while you blew your nose into a tissue.
You woke up that morning feeling nothing unusual excluding a few coughs here and there plus a scratchy throat.
But by the time you’ve finished setting up decorations for the celebration that you’ve been planning, what was originally just a tiny cough and scratchy throat, turned into shivers and a runny nose.
But nothing was going to ruin this day.
“Yes, that looks perfect right there,” you announced, having Piper and Abacus finish setting the last of the chairs.
“He is going to be so thrilled,” you whispered, clapping your hands together in admiration of the way it all was coming together, that is until you let out a not-so-pretty sneeze.
“Ugh,” you groaned, wiping your nose with a tissue you had handy in your pocket.
“That didn’t sound so good,” came a voice from beside, causing you to flinch at the unexpected comment.
“Oh geez Lottie,” you breathed out, placing a hand on your chest to relax, “you frightened me.”
She shares an apologetic smile, “that happens. But you don’t sound too good. Is everything alright?”
You waved your hand motioning it was no big deal, “I’m fine, just a little cold but it’s fine, thank you.”
Lottie opened her mouth but was interrupted by another voice that came from behind.
“What’s going on here?”
Smile tugging at your lips you turned around to face the young man.
Willy Wonka.
He was just about the most spectacular chocolatier you’ve ever met. With his skills, plus his passion and positivity, he’s managed to help you all in your escape from Mrs.Scrubbit and her wily contract. It was funny to think that only recently you were held captive by the old bat, and now, just a week later here you were celebrating a successful opening followed by a successful week of Wonka’s own shop.
“What are you doing here? You’re ruining the surprise,” you directed towards the boy.
Now the party was no secret so he was aware of it all, but he also was aware that you specifically told him not to help, being that the party was essentially for him. But of course knowing Willy wasn’t one to sit back and let others do the work, you’ve planned ahead telling him the incorrect time that you all were starting, yet somehow here he was, still earlier than agreed.
“Why are you here so early?” You questioned.
“Well, for one I knew you’d get here early, so I figured I’d come and help,” he glanced around at the practically finished decorations, “but I see I underestimated you.”
“That you did,” you said before another sneeze escaped your mouth.
“Woah, that sounds bad.”
“It’s fine,” you guaranteed turning your back to Willy, but he circled around leaning his face inches from yours, “and your cheeks, they’re darker than usual,” he pointed out, but you just shook your head dismissing the thought, “it’s cold outside, that’s why.”
You rotate away from him again, ignoring the shivers and the warm feeling that you were beginning to feel spread across your face, “I have to go get the cake!” You announced, allowing the others to hear, but Willy quickly placed himself in front of you. Pulling his scarf off he steadily wrapped it around your neck making sure it was nice and snug.
“I’ll get the cake, you head inside.”
You rejected his offer without a single thought, “this party is for you Willy. I’m getting the cake,” and with that you marched off but Willy continued to follow close behind.
With big strides, you hurried to get to your destination while a cough did its best to fight its way out.
“What’s the hurry?” He ran, catching up to your pace.
“There’s no hurry, I just want to get the…the…achoo! Cake,” you finished, managing to catch the sneeze in your arm.
Thinking back on it now, maybe having the party outside in this weather wasn’t the most ideal decision.
Despite his best efforts in suggesting your return back, you successfully pick up the dessert and begin your journey back.
It was halfway through the trip back that you began to feel slightly dizzy. Shifting direction you reached out for a nearby bench, pausing to take a break.
The chocolatier sat beside you with a concerned expression decorated on his face, “this won’t do. Let’s postpone the party, your health comes first.”
With your eyes lightly shut, you reply to the man, “we already prepared everything, if we cancel it now, everyone will just be disappointed. I’m alright, I just need a second.” After a moment of ease you propped yourself up, “onwards to the celebration!” You shout trying to lift the spirits.
Wonka once again followed behind, worried for your health but knowing in your stubbornness to listen.
Putting on your best face, you made it to the celebration. “Wait here,” you instructed, facing him away from the finished layout.
Once you’ve placed down the cake and everyone settled into position, you told him to turn around.
“Surprise!” Shouted the collective group of voices as he spun around. And taking in the sight a grin from ear to ear spread along his face. Despite him seeing most of the decor before, he still managed to appear genuinely surprised. “This is spectacular!”
“Well, we just wanted to show our appreciation for you Mr.Wonka,” said Abacus speaking on behalf of everyone.
“None of this could’ve happened without you all of course. Don’t just stand there, mingle, enjoy yourselves,” he ordered and no one hesitated to do so.
Willy gazed around the small group, a smile still prominent on his face until he spotted you.
You were propped on a chair a little ways away, blowing your nose into a tissue. His eyebrows lowered in thought with his lips pushed together and after a short whisper to Piper, he headed in your direction.
“Come on, let's get you out of here.”
You shook your head, “but the party,” you breathed out.
“Your health is my main priority right now. If you stay out here in the cold it’ll only get worse.”
You pressed your own lips together, mirroring his expression from earlier.
“I already told Piper, she’s agreed to take care of the cleanup.” He extended a hand towards you and although hesitant you took hold, knowing he was truthfully, right.
Despite your initial protests during the day, you were thankful to the man, not just for today but for all he’s done since you’ve met him.
And you made sure to let him know.
“You are a wondrous man,” you stated as he covered you with a quilt, making sure to tuck the fabric in on both sides.
“It helps to have such wondrous people beside you.”
Once again, he refused to take his credit, yet another thing you admire about him.
“I’m sorry I ruined today,” you whispered, eyes beginning to shut as the warmth from your own bed was starting to overtake.
“Are you kidding? Today was splendid.”
“Your words are too kind.”
“Kind people are deserving of kind words.”
You smiled weakly, unable to banter back.
With a few gentle pats on your head Willy leaned back allowing you to rest.
You didn’t know how but you were going to make it up to him.
You were sure of that.
