I swear the rest of my work for this semester of education is going to be done purely out of spite. I am going to write sentences like I'm writing my novel just to get up to word count goals. This class was feeling pointless and directed mainly at multi-subject majors before I decided to drop the edu load and now that feeling has doubled. None of this will be useful. But. My gpa
#Starlight Does Uni#No seriously making vocab posters isn't really going to work long term in the college math classroom I don't know what to tell you#I don't think they'd even be really useful in the AP Calc classroom that was my original plan tbh#Aside from the first few days of concept learning#Because honestly if you're having to rely long-term on a poster in order to be able to do derivation and integration#You're not going to do well on the AP exam#And that's like. the point of the class#I get scaffolding is good and everything. Like I understand that#But like. For the AP classroom. There's a very particular goal that they're trying to reach.#And too much long-term scaffolding of the basics will actually hinder rather than help.#I honestly feel like my AP Calc class didn't do as well as they could have#Because my teacher didn't set limits on what we were allowed to use on exams until the month before the big one#So I was the only one holding myself to exam pacing (finishing in the exam period) and doing my best to not rely on the formula sheet#And I was one of the only people to get a 5#Like absolutely there should be resources for ELLs#But I don't think this is something that would work quite like they're saying it should at the 12th grade level idk#Because what's being suggested is essentially that formula sheet on the walls.#And. No.

If I were more technologically educated when it came to modern day video games I think the funniest thing to do would be to make mods for modern games that force them to run on 8GB of ram and 2GB graphics cards. Because it would be funny.
#first game on the list would be either dragons dogma 2 or FF16#this is all wishful thinking tho these games run on all different types of engines so yeah#id have to learn how to work with like 10 types of engines and also my computer isnt strong enough to run them as they are anyway#the only engines i have experience with finagling with are the creation engine and UE4 so shrugs#i did manage to get Oblivion with FCOM running on an integrated 128MB gpu tho. dont recommend it but i did it

just found out that my only other coworker who’s good at training got swapped with my coworker who i trust least with training, on a job where both of our trainees will be present. happy monday 👍
#our last new hire got put with the two coworkers i’m working with#and it genuinely killed his work integrity because they 1. don’t like teaching so he didn’t understand shit#2. don’t take this job seriously so what he DID learn was that if you stand around for 6 hours and then sign some papers then you’re set#so basically i’m gonna have to watch both of them.#which is fine.#except it means running around all day#sighs good and hard through my jorts.

and heres a cover of the original JP ver of the ending B song from drakengard, tsukiru :) with teto our good friend teto
#vocal synth cover#openutau#utauloid#utau#kasane teto#i ended up using utau because tsukiru is so like. muffled and whispery and layered and intimate compared to the more#clearer and sort of ghostly sound of growing wings and i thought a bank with like some whispery appends like teto has would work nice#very fun! still learning how to use openutau vs original utau.... it glitches sometimes with the parameter panel#as someone who abuses parameters LOL but other than that it is very fun to use compared to original utau#nice using teto's openutau integrated bank too. god i love the voice colours system

Bridging the Gap Between Education & Real-World Success

Education is often considered the gateway to professional success, yet many students find themselves unprepared for the realities of the workforce upon graduation. While academic knowledge provides a strong foundation, it often lacks the practical application required to navigate real-world challenges. The modern job market demands more than just theoretical understanding; it requires critical thinking, adaptability, and hands-on experience. However, practical skills in education, career readiness programs, and industry-relevant education are often missing from traditional curricula, leaving students struggling to bridge the gap between education and real-world success.
Dr. P. Madhurima Reddy, an entrepreneur, peak performance trainer, life & wealth coach, psychologist, and educationist, advocates for a future-ready education system that incorporates real-world learning experiences, work-integrated learning, and soft skills for career success. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the reasons behind the disconnect and provide actionable strategies to ensure that education aligns with real-world expectations.
The Disconnect Between Education and Employability
1. The Overemphasis on Theory Over Practice
Traditional education systems focus heavily on theoretical concepts, emphasizing memorization and rote learning rather than bridging theory and practice. While academic knowledge is essential, students often struggle to translate what they learn in classrooms into practical, real-world applications. This overemphasis on theory creates a skills gap, making it difficult for fresh graduates to meet industry demands.
A more effective approach would be to integrate real-world learning experiences such as:
Case studies and real-life problem-solving exercises
Project-based assignments that require research and critical thinking
Hands-on workshops and industry exposure programs
2. Lack of Career Readiness Programs
Many educational institutions lack structured career readiness programs, leaving students ill-prepared for the workforce. These programs are crucial in equipping students with the tools and skills necessary to excel in their chosen careers. Effective career readiness initiatives should include:
Resume-building workshops
Mock interview sessions with industry professionals
Career counseling and mentorship programs
Internship opportunities that provide real-world work experience
3. The Skills Gap in the Job Market
Employers today seek candidates with strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability. However, many graduates lack these essential skills due to a disconnect between education and real-world success. The traditional curriculum often fails to focus on:
Soft skills for career success, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership
Technical and digital literacy, which is increasingly in demand across industries
Entrepreneurial thinking, fostering innovation, and proactive problem-solving
By incorporating skills-based learning and vocational training benefits, educational institutions can better prepare students for the workforce.

Feeling and looking good 🌈 (Patreon)
#Doodles#Even tho it hasn't been that long it still feels like I while since I've been in my doodle rotation lol just a lower density for a while#I forget if I mentioned the first time my favourite chair broke? It doesn't feel familiar in my head so I'll give a quick rundown lol#I frequent a rocking chair <3 It's the blue one I sometimes draw digitally :D And it's starting to show its age haha#I'm not very gentle on furniture - as evidenced by it breaking Again lol#There's a specific screw in its front-right support that takes the most pressure from me getting up and sitting down#It gets stressed and stretched and is more prone to breaking just from use and it's a very integral piece!#This time it broke Really good like I thought I could fix it myself - I could not lol the screw casing had to be removed from the wood pft#But it's fixed now! Back to rocking :) Yaay <3#Small silly set of wanting attention haha#Got it in small increments! But got it! Fully! Always happy for it haha#What was that joke doodle I made once - something like ''I have to be talked to every [XX] hours or I'll get sad'' lol#I mean it's not Untrue pft#I enjoy it <3#And the last one! Multimedia art actually!! Ah!#The latest CJ the X video about fashion Spoke To Me - I mean most of their work tends to lol but this one...yeah#Being raised in disparate little pockets of culture unfixed from a larger cultural language and feeling lost for it......../yeah/#And I do find a lot of comfort in the question being reframed from ''What do you like'' to ''Who are you? What are you?''#I don't know what I like! Not style-wise not on this body that I'm in possession of! I like what's comfortable but that doesn't Say much#Using fashion as a signal to others that I'd very much like to be viewed a certain way and learning the ''words'' to communicate that! Ah!!#So I looked up some What-and-Who fashions I wanted to emulate and ended up in an outfit of my own clothes that looked really great on me!!#Tank top with rolled-up sleeves on the button down over it - defuser necklace - my favourite black pants and shoes with Tamagotchis hehe#And of course my rainbow bracelet <3 I felt quite handsome :)#It's not something I've done again since with different clothes but it makes me Want to! I want to be seen by those I'm winking at haha#I think it's quite lovely :)

Hi, I have a friend that really wants to play with vr sculpting, do you recommend using the tilt five, quest 2, or quest 3.
Do you know of any plans to add support for any other headsets?
Also if you want an easier way to display art check these out (holographic displays) https://lookingglassfactory.com/
I’d go with a secondhand Quest 2 if it’s specifically VR sculpting your friend is interested in! though I think the price for a new Q2 dropped recently so either option is a more affordable entry point. 👍
and we wanna be on Apple Vision and maaaayybe also SteamVR so Figmin could run on any PCVR headset… but we’ll see haha
current supported hardware is the Quest line, Tilt Five, Magic Leaps, HoloLens, Vive XR Elite, aaand Android & Apple mobile devices. (if anyone wants to be part of the mobile beta hit me up 👀 we need more testers 👀👀👀)
and YES I know Looking Glass!! I’ve seen their displays and other similar 3d displays in person before and they’re wild.
#auropost#saw a computer monitor that tracks your eye movement#and displays a different image into each eye so that you see simulated depth of 3d objects#it looks like at actual 3d thing is floating in front of your face#and was working live with like…. zbrush or something#there was a dragon on the screen and i felt like i could reach out and touch it#ANYWAYS i will push quest2 until the price drops on anything else#the color passthrough is nice on the q3 but isn’t integral to learning this type of art#get gravity sketch#get open brush#try vermillion if you wanna paint#get figmin if you want to build more complex things and interactivity#they’re all fun and have many tutorials on youtube 👍👍👍

i am so sorry for dragging you guys into the assassin’s creed hole to suffer with me 🤝🤝🤝
Its ok we are suffering here together 🤝🤝🤝as a Yugioh fan I am. Well versed in enjoying Extremely Mid Media. Its catnip to me. My favourite Final Fantasy game is the one known for being disappointing.
...but oh my god.
The characters have compelling concepts! And not a single thing is done about them! Every day I am sitting here thinking "do the writers even know what they did to Lucy" and given how much they change her every game, the answer is no, BUT I DO.
Which just makes me more invested. Unfortunately. I am looking at how the narrative treats her, and Clay, and Desmond, and I am chewing at the walls like "YOU HAD INTERESTING IDEAS. COME BACK HERE AND RESOLVE THEM."
But I know. I know. If they resolved them. They would be so terribly mid. They would have done deslucy space wedding. They would have made Clay a Daniel Cross 2.0.
But I can dream.
And more importantly, I can spend hours digging through game text and supplemental material to find evidence for my pet theories instead of being productive.
#not doctor who#rose rambles#knife boys#see when I was a kid I spent hours on fishkeeping forums#learning the ins and outs of different communities opinions on tank cycling#and the use of different products#like whether any bottled tank cyclers worked#arguments for betta tank size#what fish you should and shouldn't house together. school size. opinions on filter media. how to handle power outages and prevent#your filter from having to re-cycle#etc#I spent so much time on them in fact that my irl name is based off my username on most of 'em#and when I wasn't doing that. it was chickenkeeping forums. and books. and fandom wikis.#and you see. you see. assassins creed has a horrible sprawling retcon-filled pool of information#and supplemental materials#and character interpretations that necessarily involve isolating each game while simultaneously taking the rest of canon into consideration#resulting in several conflicting interpretations that vary by the day and writer existing as equally canon pieces of the fiction#and. well. that lights up my brain like a slot machine#shiny jingly coins :)#Frustration is unfortunately integral to my enjoyment of something. If I don't want to chew through my screen sometimes. well. am I really#invested. haha. haaa

like he wouldn't teach finnikin other languages until he was shamed. he was carles' chief advisor when they were failing to respond adequately to the threat of charyn. im going to be honest here i think there's a not insignificant chance he was king's man when carles felt so powerless he had to go to an imprisoned trevanion in secret. isaboe needs to fucking fire him
#i really think she should clean house at some point soon otherwise these losers are just going to perpetuate the same problems that#fucked them over in the first place. priestking can stay* but topher needs to be retired & the guard needs to start integrating fresh blood#they are 1. getting on a bit (not a problem if there's a range of ages‚ but there very much isn't) 2. frankly codependent (applies to trev#at the very least -- not necessarily a personal failing but he needs to have other stuff going on otherwise retirement'll hit him#like a truck)#*since he learnt his fucking lesson. my no. 1 old dog learning new tricks 4eva#i really really wish i had a better idea of how king's men work it's hard to posit alternatives when i don't know the employable subset#fuck it let's put celie in charge. things will get done. maybe not good things. but certainly a change will occur

of course beard has catholic shame. he didn’t tell anyone he was in prison and would’ve rather have been alone and sad
#the shame and guilt are integral to his being !!!#i think it’s a reason he became so sexually promiscuous in college (ex sex work)#was that compensation of being raised in a restrictive puritan catholic upbringing#grew up unwanted so he learned abt sex so he could always be wanted in some form !

#i love to see immigrants from central or latin american countries who came here legally - worked their asses off - became a citizen#and now are paying it forward by voting to make sure this country that blessed them wont be turned into the shit holes they left#my pride swells seeing that shit#the strength of character and integrity it takes to come here with nothing - learn the language from scratch - assimilate to its culture#better yourself - all without acting entitled or like the world owes you something - becoming a success#and not turning around and trying to fuck over that same country#my family did it and i love seeing stories of other people who did as well
