I love all the Essek fanart on here, I had to finally draw the floaty boy myself. I love him. Cleaner version and a concept sketch I did.

hey ... hey ............ thinking about the fact that if tharivol and vespin kept running they would forever have the hells on their heels. and that's why vespin left, even though it almost guaranteed that he'll be dragged back to the hells. but then maybe asmodeus would be satisfied and forget about the drow navigator.
YEAH............always running but ultimately, i don't think tharivol would care.
the world is a terrible place when he finds vespin again. the end of days literally happened. as far as anyone alive in the moment is concerned, this is it. this is how it'll be forever.
but tharivol -- tharivol's someone who knows there are other worlds out there. and more than that, he has access to a ship that can go to those places.
he'd offer vespin a spot on the ship. ask if he wants to see anywhere that's not exandria. maybe they'll end up somewhere that asmodeus can't reach him. maybe they can find a place that they've only read about in books, or they can find someone who can fix whatever's happening or. . .something. anything.
(it's not possible. the hells are almost always a constant. but he can dream.)

More thoughts on recent Critical Role Campaign 3 recent episodes
Some of this might be hot takes. 🤷🏻‍♀️
People are all up in arms about somebody pressuring Imogen to do something she is afraid to do, and certain parts of the fandom and some of the characters themselves are all up in a tizzy.
I don’t recall ANYBODY being in a tizzy like this when over half the damn party was trying to pressure Fearne into taking the shard, which she said on multiple occasions over pretty much every episode since they got the damn thing until she took it in the Feywild, that she didn’t want it, that she was scared of what it would do to her.
Where are the people calling Imogen and Laudna out for pressuring Fearne to do something she said she was scared to do, on more than one singular occasion? Where are the people calling them bad and evil and awful for that?
But Orym telling Imogen that they need her here in this fight because they can’t win this without her, and pressuring her to use her connection to Ruidus, which she has been all gung-ho to do—even excitedly done, in previous episodes, is the ultimate bad guy here?
The math ain’t mathin’ here people.
Either villainize all attempts at peer pressure within the party, or just maybe, look at things in the context of the situation. Don’t pick and choose which ones are acceptable and which ones aren’t.
If Orym is a piece of shit for pressuring Imogen, then so are Imogen and Laudna for pressuring Fearne.
Now putting that rant aside, I love all of the cast and I love all the characters of Bells Hells. None of them are perfect and they all have their issues, and I love it. I think it’s all so juicy. Let these characters become like people, let them feel like people!
I actually really like this campaign. Not more than I liked campaign one, but I feel like I get the story line more than what I did with campaign two. To me, campaign two didn’t feel cohesive until Eiselcross, Aeor, or heck just before the Somnovum. The story doesn’t get cohesive at least until they were in Xorhas at the very earliest. While with campaign one and campaign 3, their goals/purposes/linear story arc overall, has been way more cohesive from the start. Things tie back in at every twist and turn, leading towards the overall story.
So I’m all down for good inter-party conflict and found family. Whatever the cast of critical role wants to throw at us.

im rewatching some old classics from campaign 2 and like. it truly cannot be understated how much the mighty nein excel at fucking up social situations, doing exactly the wrong thing in the wrong place at the wrong time, and pissing off important people. AND YET! despite this they also excel at charming those around them! pulling the exact right thing to say out of their asses!
these people got banned from darktow, a pirate haven where they arguably should've fit in perfectly, within 24 hours - and then made their way into the court of the brightqueen of xorhas, where they could absolutely have been imprisoned or killed!! and became NATIONAL HEROES within ONE CONVERSATION. genuinely no other party could do it like them

Taliesin (& others), when the Xorhas alliance thing begins: we'll have to be discreet to avoid being killed on sight when we get back to the Empire
Also Taliesin, less than 5 episodes later and five minutes after Caduceus enters the house: I'm going to make a sixty foot tree on top of my tower AND put spotlights on it for good measure

Immortaljailor more like ImmortalEnabler
In honor of the new lovm content, have some cr ideas that were never to be
When I still watched campaign 2 live and they were deep behind enemy lines in Xorhas for the first time, I was like huh pre-canon bren/caleb would hate his future self if he saw all this, almost as much as present canon caleb hates himself right now.
What if De-aging AU?
So this would have Caleb getting hit with a spell that de-ages him. At this point in canon, Beau and Nott are the only ones who Really know his backstory, and Bren thinks a lot of very unfortunate things about being in Xorhas and surrounded by "monstrous"/"Xorhasian" races like a half-orc and goblin, it mostly falls on Beau to take Bren aside in private to say that they are on an undercover mission behind enemy lines, and Beaus the one in charge as a Expositor for the Cobalt Soul on behalf of the empire to extract a kidnapped alchemist. Beau is stressing and working overtime to get Bren to cooperate and also Not Try To Report Into A Higher Up Or Handler or ask questions about what his rank and mission is or how his parents are doing, but also to protect Caleb's privacy from the group. I love Beau, so I imagine it'd mostly be about the pressure of the lie but I'm me so imagine also a lot of dramatic irony and people being confused about how sweet wonderful caleb grew out of That.

loras 22 insight check to see how hymnal's doing since leaving the barbed field
they've traveled far since the battle in the barbed fields. they still roamed the countryside of xorhas, but they had put the fields long behind them to dip into the vermaloc wildwood, with its boldly bright trees guiding their steps. they've been told to be careful, as many great beasts wander the woods, but that they were free to travel on their own if they wished.
it's a quiet night near a burbling brook, the water almost lulling them to sleep. here, hymnal kneels with his hands folded, the bead of light spinning a lazy comet's tail over his head. he's still kneeling when loras speaks up and asks him how he's feeling.
there's a smile that answers him, hymnal's face serene in its expression, as he responds i'm fine. it is how it must be.
the words, however, carry an undertone of something aching -- it's the sound of something folded carefully and tucked away, pushed into a corner to think about once his companion had gone quiet and still for the night.
he's having nightmares still of hellfire and vespin's bloodied fingers dragging against his cheekbone. he reaches to touch the spot when he thinks loras won't notice, before he bends to wash his hands in the creek and move to make sure they have food prepared for them.
deception from hymnal: 15 + 6 = 21.
