Okay. one last post about episode 5.

Mob regains consciousness and reaches 100%... sadness. “His powerlessness born from overwhelming contradictions... and the feeling that he would never be able to conquer himself.”

He struggles with himself, kneeling on the ground, straining, seemingly unable to direct his power at anything in particular. And then the clouds open up, and the chunks of school building come proceeding down, rebuilding the school as Mob cries.

In one of the single most gorgeous shots of the entire series, Mob’s hair lifts and sways as his powers rebuild the school, light—light, at last, breaking through the clouds.

One thing I really love about Kelvin and Keefe’s relationship is how Kelvin genuinely wants Keefe to succeed in his own right. Jesse becomes a big jealous baby whenever it looks like Amber is outshining him (shooting a cycle ninja, her marriage counseling program) and Judy tends to run roughshod over BJ or be pretty dismissive towards him (like she was with his welcome center duties). But Kelvin wants Keefe to shine! He lets him go on Smutbusters missions by himself and praises him for the outcome! He encourages Keefe to show off his sausage dip-making and fire dancing skills to the family! He gives Keefe a chance to lead a youth group event by himself! He reminds Keefe multiple times that he’s a success story for both the Gemstones and Kelvin himself! I kinda doubt Keefe has ever had someone believe in him so genuinely before in his life. Between that and all the words of affirmation, it’s no wonder he’s so devoted to Kelvin.

yes yes YES. out of all the couples, they're definitely the 'healthiest' in a co-dependent and possessive fun type of way~ keefe's matching tree chairs are the perfect metaphor - the two of them providing nourishment and support for each other, neither can survive and grow without the other T__T.

Hi, darling!! I still am! Honestly, if I could I would finish it right away but you know how it is with me being five-month pregnant, a housewife, a mom of a three-year-old kid, and being the only person who does all the chores in the house, it really is almost impossible for me to have the energy to sit down and write as much as I would love to 😭😭😭 I used to be able to write a lot cause my husband wasn't too busy with work before so we could take turns on doing chores and watching over our kid (plus my kid used to just sleep like 80% of the time now he's just so active). my son is getting older and he's started going to school and my husband is away on a business trip pretty often so I'm handling this all by myself and I'm asldkfjaslkdfs

ANYWAY sorry I didn't mean to ramble LMAO I'm trying to say that I am still trying to finish both Never Let Me Go and Ice & Fire whenever I can. I have written so many parts for those series that I haven't posted here yet so it would be a waste if I just abandon it now 🥲 Maybe (maybe) I can post a new chapter for NLMG by the end of next month.
