Addressing Nasiens character currently +the fandom

Let's start with the fact that Nasiens now does not have a gender, buuuut, he is still treated as a boy and he himself still perceives himself as a boy, in the start of the series we can assume that what he doesn't have is gex cause the whole fairy thing works in a biological way but not in a gender way, he seems comfortable being a boy but i dont think he minds that a lot, cause when percy asked him about him changing genders he basically told him that he can change to the gender that percy wants, so ye he doesn't minds a lot. In summary, he queer, no matter what he is queer and he will always be queer, specifically trans and gay cause he knows what he feels for Percy since the beginning.

Now, the fandom 🫰 muahah this part is dense cause some people acts pressed when they feel called out, so I love the interpretation that every person gives to Nasiens, cause I feel that Nasiens is one of those characters that you can interpret as you wish(AND INSIDE HIS QUEERNESS CAUSE IS A LIL OBVIOUS THAT HE IS QUEER SO), the thing is that some people is starting to be toxic and weird hella weird about it, like those people that's like "She's a woman!! She always was a woman and she was never gay or a boy so I'm basically just erasing every trace of queerness out of his character cause I love heteronormative characters and relationships and love ruining genuinely good representation of someone queer" basically those people, I took the chance to explain what's wrong for me on the example. To the other side that thinks that Nasiens is a woman they cool and nice af cause they aren't toxic about it unlike the other toxic people so YAAAAY.

ALSO. Th.E people that is misinformating about Nasiens identity are also so irritating, like don't put your HCS as something canon (this mostly happens on the Spanish fandom so ye nahabsahs). So in summary, the problem is that some people on the fandom are taking the Nasiens situation in a very toxic way 🐚

Instead of talking about Yui's character/lore, people would find more joy in making hit tweets about how he is implied to be gay and he's in denial about only liking men.

"Is Yui gay or not?" Every once in a while, a big fandom account would make a hit tweet about how they're so sick of people pretending that Yui isn't gay-coded/-implied and then shipping him with women.

People would consider him a sadist. Wrong, he's just excited when showing off/testing out his robot creations, he's not really actively trying to hurt anyone.

People think he has a preference for men over women. Wrong, he doesn't care as long he's the top.

Yeah, there are ship wars. Specifically, YuiRumi (Yui x Kurumi), YuiHiyo (Yui x Hiyori) and YuiMina (Yui x Minato) shippers. Actually, YuiMina shippers are very quiet, they're only listed here because they always end up as collateral damage.

Ein: Thank God, there's no YuiKana. Sou: Kana is just weird like that.

People will argue over which one of these three are implied canon. YuiRumi shippers are especially toxic, they think they're canon because they're childhood friends.

Even with the huge amount of ship bait YuiHiyo has, YuiRumi shippers strongly believe that their ship is canon. This is because their relationship is pre-established and they're always together in official arts.

It's also because Yui has been assigned as Kurumi's right-hand man since childhood, so that means they have a very special connection and basically canon-implied. They also pretend to ship other ships that involve the other half of their rival ships just to assert that their ship is canon. They also invented shipping meta because of this.

ok so i do enjoy asuka guiltygear but i have been thinking REALLY hard about asuka tekken as of late so we're talking about her today

also this took me WAY too long to post i apologize but it Is out here so yaaaay

favorite thing about them:

ok so legally i have to mention asuka's tekken 8 design because motherfucker WHAT were they thinking with that one. what the fuck was the inspiration. but i love it so much i cannot lie

other than that, i really enjoy her rivalry with lili and how moderately insane that bit has gotten, and i like how they've kept her a character who is a) defensively focused in her gameplay even among the generally aggressive play of t8, and b) has a generally down-to-earth feel to her despite. Everything. happening in tekken

least favorite thing about them:

so i was actually talking to a friend about this recently and she explained my feelings really well, its like. asuka feels like the protagonist of another story that isnt being told.

it feels like she has so much stuff that COULD be a really interesting plot focus for her but it just. hasnt been? like everything between her and feng COULD be so neat but its just been sort of...by the wayside for the past few games in favor of keeping up with the mishimas (new sitcom there btw)

ok well not to be predictable but him and meta have the most in common. stubborn knights (or former knight in beaus case) who like to fight out their problems and aren't particularly the social type. they wouldn't be friends per se but they'd make good sparring partners, potentially occasionally opening up to one another about things but not really acknowledging it afterwards, if anything it turns into an offer to spar to get it out of their system. he would probably be pretty distrustful towards susie, with her whole hostile takeover of dreamland thing from robobot. he was born on this planet, a knight for a much smaller kingdom on the other side of the world, and their invasion had almost knocked them off the map, it was upsetting not being able to do much of anything to stop the sudden changes it brought.

bonus: i forgot to do the who they wouldn't get along with part for theu, so they wouldn't like magolor much. he's a grifter, a theif, he intended to take ancient objects for his own selfish whims (something she would take HUGE offense to if they ever knew about, especially with him modifying a lor to be a weapon. these are important objects and very well could be all that they know is left of her past life). she doesn't take kindly to folks who would disrespect the rare remaining artifacts of her world, and they really aren't a fan of liars.

ouuu inchresting question. i think his mirrorworld counterpart would be very mm power hungry i guess? not in the sense of control but wanting to be the best, the strongest, the bravest. he would throw himself into fights at the drop of a hat just because it's the easiest way to get problems out of the way, and if it means he can get a little training in why not? he's impulsive as all hell and bitter about the smallest things (drawing from beaus reckless behavior he tends to get when thrown into stressful situations and his quiet jealous streak) and he doesn't know when to stop, especially since nobody likes him enough to get close to him to tell him to (whereas beau has historically relied on others to tell him where his limits are being pushed and when to back down).

ive been struggling a lot with making friends recently. i just started my sophomore year of high school and im at a new school (same students though) and its just been really scary. i have two really good friends that ive been friends with for four years now, but i really want more friends too, y'know? im really awkward and shy and its really really hard for me to talk to people i want to be friends with. i do know other people i get along with, but they arent the kinda people i would actually hang out with, more just talk to sometimes if that makes sense?? its getting to a point where im overly concerned about people liking me. theres this group of people at my school i REALLY want to be friends with, cause theyre the kinda gay emo group that i would fit perfectly in as a gay emo... but that just makes it THIS MUCH MORE intimidating!! theyre so cool and i want them to see that! i just dont know how to talk to them without irritating them.

Gemini: my mom is the best mom in the world :D. I had to include that first. Anyways the real story is that my first boyfriend is a Gemini and he was really sweet and i would always stare at him with unabashed affection bc he is very handsome and kind and has wonderful humor. It didn't work out bc we were more platonic than romantic but its fine because im happy he was my first boyfriend :)

Libra: they are so cute and sweet. I never got to meet my maternal grandma but i got very attached to my aunt who is a Libra and I consider her my favorite aunt. My mom told me that she acts like my grandma so im happy to love her bc it kinda feels like im loving two people. The person in front of me and the person i mever got to miss. Me and my grandma would have gotten along :')

Scorpio: ough oughhhhh. I tend to have really intense loving friendships with Scorpios that end up fraught with the misery only a stereotypical Cancer and Scorpio would bring to the table. I forged a deep friendship with my ex best friend/ex girlfriend who is a Scorpio and it all got burned to the ground several times. The only time i was truly content was when i was keeping my distance and loving them from afar. I dont even care if this doesnt apply to all Scorpios but im grateful it applied to my Scorpios. Sagittarius: My good friend in high school who is a Sagittarius was really dear to me. She was the first person to talk to me even though she was awkward and shy, too.

Capricorn: I had a crush on a Capricorn for the longest time. For a time, there was nobody else for me but him. He was unattractive, rude, condescending and pretentious and always seemed to be talking down on me or making fun of me. And i adoooooored him. I think i enjoyed the arguing.

Aquarius: My first ever partner ever was an Aquarius. I remember one night before we dated when we both sat down on the beach away from everyone else to look at the stars and the waves. She told me that the lights of the city in front of us felt like a calling, and i asked her if she felt pulled by it. She said no. She wanted to stay here forever. That idea frightened me because i was afraid to be lost and alone. I never got to understand her, and i really regret that. I was just too young and immature

Pisces: a person that means a lot to me is a Pisces even though he will never talk to me again. Not because we fought but because we drifted so far apart that even dropping in on him feels wrong. Which is sad because for a moment in time we were the two closest people in the world. Whereever you are, please know that you were a pleasure to have around.
