I’m trying to work out the hights of some of the pilot characters rn and BOI. The difference between some of them is absolutely wild lol

Wanted to draw some hocus and yesman/yessie (by mx bones/rebornica). I honestly kinda disagree with how their story and backstory was handled but I absolutely loveeeee them as characters and the world building is so fun x

The first drawing is probably closer to an AU cause it differs from canon and changes what yesman/yessie did. I, personally, would have loved to see yesman/yessie go on some murderous  rampage instead of the ‘putting people In robot suits’. I feel like the psychological or mental breakdown causing her to violently lash out would have been more interesting to see, especially if she blacked out during it. It’s a fun moral grey area that would have been crazy fun to see developed.

The second drawing is how I like to interpret yesman/yessies relationship/opinion of night and light, it’s more a collection of doodles then a cohesive comic soz. I kinda imagined that this shows their relationship from before Mary died and everything went down hill.

I meant absolutely no disrespect towards anyone with this, there is plenty I disagree with concerning Mx bones/Rebornica however I’m able to appreciate and enjoy a good piece of media and their art/world building is really fun ngl (pls don’t send any hate. I know this fandom can be controversial but I really just enjoy drawing these two dorks and I wanted to share!

If you plan to get rid of the electric chair are you going to replace it with something else? Cause I kinda feel that hocus meeting back up with yessie after being arrested won’t be nearly as impactful without the damage from the chair. Cause I really liked the imagery of hocus finding his partner/old friend near death or very injured after being unfairly prosecuted, it really helps the story between them and gives hocus a reason to be kinda doting/overly protective.

I do understand why you plan to get rid of the chair, it makes indev feel far too sadistic to be salvaged as a character and completely unempathetic. So do you plan to have something else happen to her instead? Being damaged from whoever she was originally defending herself from, police brutality or some other damaging punishment?

(Sorry for the long ask, I just adore yessies and hocus’ story and I just find them so fun x)

I feel like a mix of all of the first 2.

Yessie was using self defense, but outsiders took the situation out of context and immediately started calling her a rogue, then it led to the LAPD getting involved with the obligatory police brutality that came with it.

(Considering the story is mostly in L.A, trust me when I say that the LAPD are HORRIBLE when you look into the history they have, and it's even more ironic that 2 certain characters works for said police force.)

What’s yessies and hocus’ opinion and relationship with indev? I assume there’s some negative thoughts but in the original comic yessie did seem to somewhat forgive them or at least she pretty was civil with them. I know hocus hated indev quite a bit

In the rewrite, I plan on the relationship between Yessie and INDEV to be a bit more neutral and less... well, negative, as the reason why Yessie was claimed to be a rouge was simply because she was using self defense, which basically makes the whole Mind Electric comic not canon in the context of the rewrite. Hocus still dislikes INDEV immensely though, he doesn't trust xem.

(And I really hate how INDEV's lack of empathy was portrayed in the original story and I'm saying this as someone who genuinely can't feel alot of empathy for others because it's hard to feel it.)
