First fic in a while! Hey y'all!! So excited for this. I've wanted to write something like this for a while, ever since season 5 when Buck mentioned one of my fave movies of all time 50 First Dates, and simultaneously understood AND misunderstood the movie (classic Buck). I personally feel like a lot of people misunderstand this movie, and think of it as something manipulative, but I view it more as a disabled person getting to choose her own life and love, and a man choosing to put in the hard work and love her even when he could easily choose the "easy" way out. Anyway, I love that movie and will defend it till the day I die and I wanted to do a buddie interpretation. I hope you like it!

A note, this fic is COMPLETE at 16 total chapters and I will be posting 4 chapters a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so periodically check back in, or just wait till October and you can crack open the fic and devour it all in one go if that's your bag.

a really funny side effect from chapter 3 & 4 coming out on june is that right now the "festas juninas" are happening now on the north east side of Brazil,

we decorate with little flags, eat corn based food, light a campfire, give children explosives, but the important part is the music that is played is of a style called "forró"

and since deltarune got released in june, a guy on YouTube decided that the deltarune ost should get turned into forró and it generated coments of what the characters would say if they were from this region

This episode, John Carradine, John Ireland, and Faith Domergue are making a movie in The House of Seven Corpses (1974). A couple of shambling ghouls – or are they zombies – make an entrance when they receive engraved invitations from the filmmakers. Or rather, rituals from the Tibetan Book of the Dead are performed as part of the movie being filmed. Surprise! Mayhem ensues as the cast and crew start dropping like flies, their demises mimicking those of the original occupants of the titular house. The House of Seven Corpses is not a great movie, or even a good movie, but there are some effective scenes, and the 70s Grue-Crew show some love for Faith and the two Johns.

At the time of this writing, The House of Seven Corpses (1974) is available to stream from Vudu, Tubi, Screambox, and PPV sources. The film is available as physical media on a standard Blu-ray formatted disc from Severin Films.

Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode, chosen by Bill, will be Equinox (1970). The 70s Grue Crew covered this film in episode 124, released September 2000. Regarding misinterpretation of a video or information, I think that's a common thing especially in the world of shippers. The other day I found this Jaedo moment and read one of the comments which said actually Jae at that time mentioned Taeyong while he wasn't there so he was shy or idk maybe just a particular laugh while all this time Jaedoists thought this video was one of Jaedo's moments.

I think there must be a lot of possibilities and perceptions because of course what we watch and hear are videos that are cut, edited (even NCT's own content must go through a lot of editing), even running in script, some of it is information without visual evidence. I think this has been passed down for generations in the shipper world that just believe what you want to believe because it won't hurt you and other people. these few weeks have certainly been tough for some jaedoists (re: me. heh) but what can you do. look at edited videos that full of cut and slowmotion or read their fics and fanart, I think we are more than trained to wait for jaedo in a drought 😂. And last I wanna cherish you cause you answer these qna patienly, I bet there are irritating quetion on your inbox that you should read but huh-nim I truly thank you always on cool headed, have a nice day

This was a JaeDo moment.

I find shippers imagining things and gushing over wrong things normal. It is the nature of shipping in the sense most think of this activity (pretending two people are in a romantic relationship without evidence). Even if I sometimes write a sarcastic comment about one or other ship, I do it from a position of an outsider. The problem only arises when shippers start shipwars because noone has a higher ground. How many possible scenarios and correct answers exist depends on the situation at hand. Sometimes, with additional knowledge, the answer is very clear, sometimes, indeed, there could be many explanations (even if one of them is more plausible than the other).

I genuinely don't understand complaining JaeDo shippers. Unless all you want is a daily inflow of new moments and to feel like you get more than other shippers. Shippers like thet resemble those people who mindlesly scroll TikTok and Tumblr waiting for a new funny exciting video or post, that gets boring after one view. As for me, the memory of DJJ era moments still feed the fire in my shipper heart like quality coal, heh.

JaeDo moment videos and year end compilations are hours in length. As a ship it not only has more moments than most others (except for TaeDo, maybe), it has moments of "higher quality", more shippery (romantic and memorable), if you will.

Yes, it would be nice to have Jaehyun openly supporting Doyoung's solo, featuring on his album, sending him a food truck. However, if you look at things from another angle, how a couple of silly ShowChamp chicks are now both living very busy fulfilling lives, starring in tv-series and releasing solo-albums, how far they've come, following their dreams and supporting each other. Think about that JaeDo are releasing their albums one after another, with joined activities (127) inbetween, how they will both go to Italy as BAs in demand, etc, etc.... you won't be so sad, you'll see the "worth its own tv-series" love story.

Norway has produced a multitude of good horror movies, but it all started in 1958 with Lake of the Dead (De dødes tjern). Voted fourth best Norwegian film of all time by 101 critics in 1998, Lake of the Dead is a mystery that is part ghost story, part insane killer, and sports its own psychiatrist as a cast member; just for the insane part, you see.

Based on a 1942 novel of the same title, the film also includes an actor playing the writer of that novel and the actual writer of the novel playing another character. Clear? And then there’s the scene called one of the most memorable scenes in Norwegian film history. Gregory Crosby joins the Grue Crew, and they have plenty to talk about.

At the time of this writing, Lake of the Dead (1958) is available to stream from Shudder, AMC+, and Tubi. It’s also available on physical media as one of 20 films in All The Haunts Be Ours: A Compendium Of Folk Horror |Blu-ray + CD| from Severin.
