The Boston molassacre is a real event in history, however it is actually called the Boston molasses flood. Molasses was stored in those wooden water towers, molasses is however very heavy, and the tower collapsed under the weight of the molasses. This destroyed several buildings, because while the molasses is viscous it was propelled by a lot of pressure from the molasses above it.
please stop writing "viscous" when you mean "vicious", it produces the weirdest mental images ever

I adore the worldbuilding in hwfwm SO fucking much. it's just so beautifully immersive. I could be riding around the delta on a hydal (no I can't spell), sipping jem (no I can't spell) juice on a cloud castle or discovering an awakening stone of the feast in my soup, even pissing off Gods in town square, it's all so expansive
there is so much loving, adoring detail to everything. to spirit coins and the consequences of looting abilities, to the systems of the adventure's society and ranks therein. to Auras, which are quite possibly my favorite thing in the world, being expanded into living parts of power. the grungy cellars of old town, beautiful verdant green thriving off the vitality of the magic waterfall in the delta, the different forms of storage everyone develops to suit their powers, explainations for the LitRPG elements. it feels like behind every little detail, every storefront and monster and ability, there is a million little facts and tidbits. a million things to make it Real in such a tangible way.
I love it, I love being inspired and I love the way he who fights with monsters inspires me

Yeah, Gary. She wanted the challenge. Specifically, she wanted the challenge of learning better ways to break into places because she is coming fresh off the tail end of facing the consequences of being unable to break into a place quickly and safely enough, and needing to wait for someone else to do it for her.
Tumblr media
She was the best at it, which helped her believe she deserved to be on the team, and then she failed, and an innocent person suffered more for it.
Tumblr media
She doesn't think about how she singlehandedly sabotaged the compound, destroyed the power the Order of Redeeming Light had in the area, and gave Clive the opportunity to save Gibson. She doesn't think about how having a comatose or addled victim would have made it nearly impossible to escape. She just thinks about how Clive was able to figure it out easily, and she wasn't.
Tumblr media
No, Farrah. It didn’t feel good. She doesn’t think she deserved it.
It's no coincidence that her "quirky habit" of practicing high-end and advanced theft happened right after being thanked by the father of the man she thinks she failed to save because she wasn’t good enough at breaking security measures. She doesn't want to fail again.
