He's awake this morning, curled up under a tree because for once, it's cool weather outside. Though despite that, breathing is still not the easiest, but he's enjoying just quietly sitting and people watching for a while.

"That's alright. You deserved to get some rest. Besides, I already have breakfast all taken care of. Made your favorite this morning~." Ed responded, smiling. Yugi was so cute when he was still sleepy, though it was clear he was enjoying the extra attention this morning.
"Besides...I have some good news to share with you~."

"Did I? I feel like I haven't done much lately." He chuckled and snuggled closer to his chest. "You do? You do seem excited."

"You better savor your victory, Yugi." He teases, admittedly, in a light mood where he could actually joke about their own competitiveness and previous rivalry without being serious in the slightest. "We have our entire lives." Until his last breath, he wanted Yugi by his side in every little thing he did.
A soft hum utters from Seto, like a cat's purr as the other nudges into his neck. Honestly, it should be a spot he's sensitive about others seeing and touching, yet he feels so...comfortable? He could be in any state, even the mess he is now, and he feels as though he won't be judged or pitied for it.
"You say that like I'm not already addicted to you." To think a kiss was all he needed to break the walls he held up. A simple, sweet and innocent kiss that brought him down enough to finally take the man he's wanted since the very first time the two played a card game against each other. "I think the better question is if you'll keep up with me." Goodness knows Seto made damn sure to work out frequently.
The thing was that, he felt almost unable to move from how drained he felt. Of course a bliss was over him, like the high of winning or making a breakthrough, yet he can't even find himself the energy to move much or...Well...Out of Yugi.
"Hm...That's right, I am...I don't mind, sleeping with you like this." Even if it wasn't exactly clean or maybe ideal to some, it somehow made this night feel special in that way. "We can bathe together in the morning. Probably a bath, since I'm guessing you won't be able to walk." That's what he's thinking, his rougher voice suddenly falling into a gravely tone as he starts to feel a wave of sleepiness over take him. It wasn't just from the bliss of making love to the man he's been wanting for years, but it was also far pass when he would normally be up on a night like this.

For the ask game! Ryou/Yugi. Pretty sure it's called Heartshipping!
Who’s the cuddler? hmm I think Yugi has to initiate it most of the time, Bakura is probably a little reserved about it and I think he's so touch starved that it's almost overwhelming at first. he'll end up really enjoying it, and gets really cuddly especially when he's tired.
Who makes the bed?: lol most days it probably goes forgotten by both of them, I think Bakura is a little bit neater and does it more often than Yugi though
Who wakes up first?: Yugi, idk Bakura seems like a sleepy boy. or he had so many nightmares that he sleeps in a little later in the morning to make up for the restless night
Who has the weird taste in music?: both of them, sorry. they try to out obscure each other constantly
Who is more protective?: Yugi definitely
Who sings in the shower?: Yugi, Bakura doesn't seem like he'd have the confidence
Who cries during movies?: Yugi. Bakura might cry at some of the really happy scenes, but looks oddly amused and pleasant when things get sad.
Who spends the most while out shopping?: Yugi, Bakura doesn't have much of an eye for fashion and probably buys most of his clothes used. they can spend about the same on gaming though
Who kisses more roughly?: Bakura, actually. he kisses like he's starving and trying to devour as much of his partner as he can, as if they're going to disappear if he doesn't
Who is more dominant?: Yugi ends up taking the lead in bed though, yeah. I don't think Bakura likes being dominated as heavily as Yugi would really prefer, but he's just so happy to please his partner anyway
My rating of the ship from 1-10.: 9/10 it's not my OTP or favorite ship, but it IS my favorite "post-post-canon final end game after everything else doesn't work out and if Atem doesn't come back" ship for Yugi

Blue Hour || Amane Yugi pt. 1/5
Tumblr media
(Amane Yugi x Fem!Reader)
genre: romance, drama, and a bit of fantasy
summary: amane was assigned to send letters to [name] from another school for a quarterly pen pal project in their class.
"You and I found in the sky in 5:53"
Amane grabbed a white pen from his black cylindrical pencil case and wrote some finishing touches for his letter on a black sheet of paper. He doodled some stars and constellations around the paper before folding it carefully then placing it inside a navy blue envelope.
He added some photographs of stars and moon stickers inside the galaxy themed parcel that he designed a day ago. Amane smiled proudly to himself after tying the twine around the parcel, he also slides in some post cards inside the twine.
“You sure are taking this pen pal project seriously, Yugi.” Yamabuki looked over to his dark haired friend with his phone on hand. “I barely even put effort on mine.”
“Look at Yashiro's though,” Amane pointed at the cream haired girl with teal tips sitting in front of him. She was putting a lot of designs for her pen pal letter so that her assigned sender would think that she's a creative person that matches their own aesthetic. “Hey, Yashiro-san, who do you think will be your pen pal?”
“I hope my pen pal is a boy,” Yashiro sighed dreamily as Amane deadpanned at her being a simp for hot and tall guys. He used to like her back then until he realized that he wasn't good enough for her. “And while we're sending letters, we'll fall in love—”
“Okay that's enough delusions, Yashiro.” Amane raised his hand up to prevent her from speaking more of her fantasies. “I've heard enough of them.”
“What did you put in your letter?” Yashiro asked.
“Pretty much about myself, I added some stickers and post cards, just incase my future pen pal would like them.” Amane explained while counting his fingers. “Hopefully they would because I made a lot of effort in it.” he said while scratching his cheek.
“I heard that our letters will be sent to another school and students from our grade will be our pen pals.” Akane explained as he went towards Yamabuki. “If Ao-chan gets a pen pal that is a guy, then I guess I have to eliminate the offender—”
“Whoah chill, Aoi.” Yamabuki glanced up to the red head whose expression quickly changed with a scary one. “What's with the bat though—?”
“Sometimes your obsession scares me.” Amane raised a perfect brow at Akane while resting his cheek to the heel of his palm.
“You're the one to talk.” Akane slightly glared at the smaller male. “At least I have a love life.”
“Fair enough.” Amane grumbled under his breath, looking away from the distasteful Akane. “Wait, you two are dating—?”
Amane was interrupted by their homeroom teacher entering the class. “Good morning class, did you have your letters ready?” Sensei asked as he scratched his chin. “To those who didn't know yet, your letters will be delievered to another school. Expect a letter from your new pen pal on the next day or two.”
The dark haired boy feels his eyes slowly drooping, it's always like this, getting sleepy in the middle of class. The cause? Stargazing.
Amane, ever since he was a little boy, he loved the moon and stars. He would open his window at night and look into his telescope to admire the star studded sky. Looks like he stayed up a little too long before dawn, you can't really blame him, who wouldn't like stargazing.
His eyes can't take it anymore, he needed to snooze off, just for a moment to rest. Amane folded his arms on top of his desk and puts his head down to take a nap.
“The other world at 5:53 is beautiful.”
In a dusk turning into dark, there stood a glowing carousel, spinning in a clockwise motion that seemed like it was twisting forever. Amane wandered around the place, wondering why he standing in front of a lonely ride.
He felt his ears ring and the ground slightly shaking. Amane closed his eyes as he felt the wind blowing against him, then everything stopped.
Amane fluttered his eyes open and saw a girl wearing a different school uniform than theirs. She was around Yashiro's height, he estimated, but nonetheless he never seen this girl before.
In a blink of an eye, she disappeared.
Amane raised his head up immediately from the sleep and panted heavily. Beads of sweat came rolling down from his forehead, his chest rises and then it lowers for a second, and he couldn't breathe properly after that. ‘What was that?’ he thought, drawing his hand near his chest to calm his breathing. ‘Who was that?’
He was sure as hell that he was confused, having a dream about a glowing carousel and a girl wearing a school uniform, whom he had never seen before, whatever that dream was about, he felt goosebumps on his skin. Amane fixed himself, he probably looked like he ran in a marathon and never got to drink water after that.
“Amane-kun, why do you keep sleeping in class?” Yashiro asked with a stern tone like she was a mother scolding her son for doing something wrong. “You shouldn’t sleep in classes anymore, okay?” she added while handing him her notebook which contains the notes that she took during the lesson.
Yashiro, as one of Amane's friends, was concerned for the boy. She was worried about him, but that doesn't mean the cream haired girl has feelings for the choppy haired guy. Like she said, she isn’t his type. “I’ll try not to sleep in class...” Amane receives the notebook from his female friend.
“If you sleep again, I won’t lend you my notes anymore.”
“Okay okay, I won’t sleep next time.” Amane assures her in a sweat dropped expression. “But I make no promises though---”
Yashiro snorted. “By the way---” Amane was interrupted by the school bell beckoning them to go eat their lunch. He sighed, he always gets cut off whenever he says something interesting. The teenage boy slumped his shoulders before going to the rooftop to eat his food.
All alone by himself like he usually does.
Amane was puzzled by the dream he had while he was napping during class. A carousel and a girl he had never seen before, perhaps that it was a lost memory of his or he had actually seen this girl but he doesn't remember her.
He'll figure that out on his own.
Tumblr media
The next day felt like any other day. Amane groaned loudly, waking up from his slumber (surprisingly he actually slept) and not wanting to get up from the comfortable bed that he was laying down. He buried his face on one of the pillows. ‘I don't want to wake up, I swear to god.’
“Amane, Amane—”
“What?!” Amane shot his head up and shouted fiercely at his younger twin, Tsukasa who was standing on the door with a towel wrapped around his hips.
“Wake up, we have classes!” Tsukasa reminded him. Amane sighed and slammed his face against the pillow, he felt himself close his eyes to sleep again, until Tsukasa grabbed his face and forcefully removed his brother's face from the pillow. “WAKE UP!”
“I'm up, I'm up!” Amane removed Tsukasa's hands from his face and glared at him. “Jeez, you don't have to scream on my face.” he added while getting off the bed towards the bathroom.
Amane looked into the mirror with half lidded eyes while brushing his teeth, his dark choppy hair was disheveled with few strands of hair slightly sticking out, and his long sleeved shirt that two buttons were unbuttoned where a bit of his chest is showing.
After taking a bath, Amane wrapped a towel around his torso while drying his hair with another towel. He grabbed his uniform that was hanging on the wall and wore it in a speed.
Amane notices that Tsukasa left early which is unusual since he usually leaves early leaving his brother behind. He smiled to himself before heading on to school.
When he arrived, he saw that his classmates are crowded over to his very own desk. Amane pushed his way towards them. “What's going on?” he asked.
“Letters from the other school got recently delivered.” Yashiro answered. “Your pen pal letter is here, and I must say they're very creative.”
Amane felt intrigued all of a sudden, he went to his desk to see the pen pal letter for himself and when he did, his jaw dropped.
A navy blue parcel with constellations around the paper. It was tied by a twine and dried flowers. A smile ghosted upon Amane's lips, the pen pal knew his aesthetics and his love for stars.
He gently grabbed the parcel from his desk and examined it. To Amane's surprise, he saw a tag clipped from the twine, he reads.
Tumblr media
[name] [surname].
The name of his new pen pal.
Amane unwrapped the parcel, there's an envelope that was sealed with wax. 'Fancy' he thought to himself as he slightly sticks out his bottom lip. Other than that, there are polaroids and moon stickers, but there is one thing that caught his eye.
A thin book.
Amane picked up the book, it was an astronomy journal that [name] made for him. 'This person must have made a lot of effort, I admire that.'
Amane opened the envelope first, inside was a neatly folded letter, he carefully unfolded it using his fingers.
Hi Amane Yugi-san,
I'm [name] [surname], your pen pal for this quarter! Well I made an astronomy journal since I saw your letter talking about yourself, hope you like it though ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ
After reading the letter, a smile broke down from Amane’s visuals. His pen pal is revealed to be a girl who is a first year highschool student, like him, studying from Sanaol Academy, which is far from Kamome.
Time flew by like a shooting star in a dark blue sky, Amane went home feeling giddy to write his response to [name]. When he got to his room he immediately grabbed a lot of art materials to work on the letter.
Hello [name]-san,
Thanks for the journal, I love the contents inside of it. Anyways, I hope we'll meet someday and talk about the stars together! I have a playlist where you can listen while stargazing hehe~
Amane smiled to himself, resting his cheek to the heel of his palm while writing his letter to [name]. Maybe this pen pal project isn't going to be bad after all.
Meanwhile in [name]'s side, she was sitting on her swivel chair with a cheeky smile on her face while reading Amane's letter. The strands of her hair are falling to her hair, admiring his words.
“[name], dinner's ready!”
“Coming!” [name] grinned before going downstairs to eat dinner with her family.
“The door of my dreams unreal, you from my memories become real”

Yugi has two mommies
WARNING: the charters in this story at all 18 plus. this takes place in the Yu-Gi-Oh verse but after high school. Life after high-school.. for most it's all fun and games, and that should be true even more so for the king of games right? Well that's where your wrong. Take it from me, Yugi motto, the supposed King of games. I still defend my title and make money on the dueling circet but if you believe that i'm anything like i was before.. then again your wrong. After high school Joey and Tristen got jobs working for Duke, and live with him, still running dukes game shop while Anzu got a scholarship to go to collage. To cut down on the cost of living she moved in with Mai, and naturally, with me and Anzu dating at the time I moved in too. Mai gave me connections that helped me earn my share of the rent and I thought while i was off dueling on tours her and Anzu were just having girl talks. Little did I know.. About 2 months into the arrangement a weird thing started to happen. I started waking up wet in my bed! (If you wondering why I had my own bed, Anzu refused to go all the way. She wanted to save herself and me for marriage which I respected, though somehow saving herself involved me worshiping her pussy and sometimes..ick..asshole! Meanwhile she'd lightly play with my weenier and sometimes..uh.. let's not go into that.) Anyways, Having my own bed which was in Anzu's room.. and waking up wet repeatably she started to complain about the smell, and even when I was out of the bedroom her and Mai started to hold their noses around me! As if i still smelled like, well, you know. It was weird though, the only time I ever seemed to have a wetting accident at night was when I was home. In hindsight yeah I was a dumb ass. It was when I came back from a tour that I came into the room, and found that Anzu's bed was gone! While mine had been replaced with a toddlers bed! All of my decorations were in place on my half of the room and Anzu's half now had some boxes in it. The girls had followed me into my room and smiled at me as I turned around angery and demanded to know what was going on. I can still hear the tone of their voices, and I should of know then. "It's simple Yugi. Anzu here has been putting up with your pissy bed for weeks now and it's not fair to her. She's had to take a long shower before class or she smells like your piss." Mai started, Her tone stern and hands on her hips. "Yugi, I'm sleeping in Mai's room, just till we get this figured out." Anzu said, putting a hand on Mai's shoulder and smiling at me. Naturally her tone was softer. "You have to see this is for the best don't you? Unless your jealous Mai is gonna steal me away." Anzu teased and winked. I had blushed and huffed, then gestured to the bed. "Ohhh that.. well your mattress was ruined and the pee had soaked into the bed frame, ruining it too. We have had to toss it and then go bed shopping. And that was when well.." Anzu looked a little sheepish and turned to Mai who took over. "I spotted that bed. the mattress is specially made for potty training toddlers and has special covers that keep it from getting ruined. Plus the bed frame is metal. There's a pad under the bed to catch anything that slips off the side and well, really, you're still a lil shorty Yugi,." She said and ruffled my hair. That made me whine and mutter 'not that short' and the girls, they d'awwed. In the end I accepted the bed, it WAS good logic. Anzu had some weird odor blockers in the room with a familiar scent that I couldn't place at the time, but I'm VERY familiar with it now... Baby powder. Afterwards Anzu apologized to me. She said she should of warned me but didn't know how I'd react and for the rest of the day the girls semi spoiled me, Though it felt..I dunno.. Off. They weren't being mean and agreed with me, and even let me pick out what to watch. but normally when I picked the show I'd get a eye roll for watching things like lil duelers. It was a show meant to help young kids understand how to play duel monsters, Using the toon monster designs, but I happened to like it for some of the battles they played out (and the fact that the dark magician  was one of the biggest heroes on the show didn't hurt.) But today Anzu and Mai exchanged smiles when I put it on and asked if I wanted some juice or something and exchanged smiles when I asked for milk and cookies. The tour had been a hard one with lots of unscheduled matches taking place and I was a little worn out, or that's what i told myself then when after the milk and cookies I started to get sleepy. I yawning lots and Anzu sat next to me, encouraging me to cuddle into her. I did and yawned one last time, and I swear, was just going to rest my eyes. The next time I opened them it was 7:30ish in the am and I was in bed. I'd woken up from the noise coming from the kitchen and rubbed a eye, feeling a little sheepish then noticed a few things. 1) I'd been changed out of my normal clothes (even after high-school I liked the blue jeans and jacket look) and was in a pair of kuriboh Pj's, light purple in the back round with the lil guys all over, and not something i had owned before, as I'd been trying to sleep in just my undies to cut down on the wash. It also kinda looked like fuzzball, the side kick from the cartoon show. 2) There was a stuffie of the Darkie the dark magician from my cartoon show in my bed, and more to the point, in one of my arms, which as I realized I set down. 3) The bed was DRY and a bigggg smile crossed my face and I started to yell out that the bed was dry, and called for Anzu (gah, in hindsight how toddler does THAT sound?!) till I went to get out of bed and 4) Realized that there was something under my PJ bottoms, and it was kinda.. sagging and damp. It was just as I stood up and poked my crotch, that Anzu and Mai came in and smiled. "Wow you kept the bed dry? Good job Yugi!" Anzu coo'ed and came over to hug me then paused and sniffed. I hadn't noticed the slight pee smell in the air (Heck I was practically nose deaf to it) but now realized it was in the air. "Uh-oh..well at least you kept the bed dry." she said and then tugged down my bottoms, and there it was..I was in a.. "You..you put me in.. a ..a.." I stammered, unable to say it and looked at Anzu, tears welling up in my eyes and she instantly hugged me. "Yes Yugi, I put you in a diaper. I'm sorry. I should of mentioned this was part of the plan but you were soooo upset yesterday then conked out before we could mention it." Anzu said. I'm..I'm not proud of what I did next, but i think given the situation, not a damn person could blame me. I broke down and started to bawl. What happened next was Anzu tried to comfort me the best she could, while I sobbed that I wasn't a baby and she tried to tell me no I wasn't. But Mai finally had to clear her throat and tap her wrist, Anzu was gonna be late for class. She looked mad and I thought at the time it was because she wanted to stay and comfort me, but later on I found it it was because she had wanted to handle the removal of the diaper. But the condition of her scholarship made it clear she could only be late so often and she had to boogie as was, leaving me and Mai looking at each other. (Well, more her looking at me while I rubbed my eyes and tried to stop sobbing.) "Oh for Ra's sake Yugi, it's just a wet diaper. Your acting more like a baby then dressed like one." She scolded. "I..I'm..T-trying ta..S-Stop." I hiccuped and she rolled her eyes, then came over. putting a foot on the crotch of my pants that were on the floor she lifted me up and out of them and then held me in her arms, squishing my soggy diaper and I buried my face in her shoulder and whimpered. My one small relief was that the diaper was a plain white one, though even THAT died away as Mai carried me over to where a anther one of the pads for under my bed had been set up. by said pad was two stacks. One of little duelers undies that looked like there were meant for little kids (and sadly would likely still fit me) and the other pile.. was DIAPERS. "Please please don't put me in anther diapers!" I pleaded as she laid me down, bringing my hands together and she smiled and beeped my nose. "Don't be silly Yugi, the diapies (Gah really? such a babyish phase!) Are for beddy byes, you get big boy undies for during the day." she said and chuckled like she had set up for a punchline. "O-Okay.. Why..why did you guys.. g-get all this..little kid stuff.." I asked. Because now as I looked around the room, my decorations were still up, but they were joined by lots of lil duelers and the like stuff, and those boxes were gone. "Why? Heck Yugi, you LOVE that show so we thought it would be a treat for you. Plus you snuggled right up with Darkie.it was ADORABLE." Mai gushed. I whimpered at that and had put my arms up over my face but by then Mai got to the task at hand and untaped my diaper. Now..Only very few people had seen me naked till that point. My parents (Presumably) My grandfather, Joey and Anzu. All of whom who had been somewhat.. er.. Tactful. Mai on the other hand. "Oh my god it's TINY!" She giggled and then put a hand over her mouth as I started to sniffle again and glared at her, a hand reaching down to cover myself up. (Why I didn't just sit up or stop her in the first place...I don't know) "MAI! That's mean!" I huffed instead and She nodded. She was still laughing but covering her mouth and trying not to so that was SOMETHING. I guess. "I'm..I'm sorry just..Pffft.." "You know what, Maybe I should just go and take a shower and-" I huffed but Mai put a hand on my chest and I was powerless to get up. "Nottt possible." Mai said, drawing out the first word, then went on. "Me and Anzu both went for shower's this morning, no hot water left. You better let me clean you up." "I..I can do it myself." I insisted. "Yugi, I've SEEN your undies.I know how well you can wipe." Mai said with a snicker. well, if I thought i was red faced before. In the next few minutes I did as I was told, spread as I was told, rolled over, and was of course betrayed by own body with all the attention I was getting down there. "Uh-oh! Looks like lil Yugi switched to attack mode." Mai teased  and tossed the wipes, and the diaper into a small pail. "I think you can handle it from here? And uh, there are some tissues here if you wanna use those too." Mai smirked and got up, walking out of the room. Once she was out of the room the first thing I did was go over to my dresser and look for a pair of my boxers and of course, they were all gone. My clothes were still the same thankfully, save for my new sleepwear of course. I toyed with just wearing the jeans with no undies then recalled the last time I'd done that. My cock head had gotten soooo sore. Groaning i went back and grabbed a pair of the briefs and started to tug them up..and was dismayed when they more or less fit perfect. (It would of been a perfect fit if not for well, you know.) Grabbing out a shirt and jeans I headed out of the room and into the main living space, and there was Mai reading a paper and drinking some coffee. "Is there any left?" I asked. now normally I loath coffee, but at the moment I wanted to be as big and grown up as possible. "Aren't you worried it'll stunt your growth?" Mai joked then smiled as I glared. "Sorry, bad joke. There's a little bit left but I made a really strong pot Yugi. I don't think your little system can handle it, not with the lack of coffee experience anyways." She warned me. "I can so!" I huffed and getting my stepping stool, went to make myself a coffee. Ah the stepping stool. Seems whoever made these counters didn't want little kids to be able to hurt themselves and Mai admitted she'd had work done to raise them even more after a babysitting job almost turned bad. the end result? Yours truly had to get a white stepping stool to do anything on the counter top. "Yugi, all kidding aside I really don't think you should drink that, you could get a caffeine overdose and get sick to your tummy or even have a accident, and not the piddle kind." Mai warned. It was a good warning and I really should of listened, but pride can be a stupid thing. "I don't have daytime accidents. " I snapped and poured the last bit of sugar in my Blue eye white mug I never saw the smirk on Mai's face. Pouring the last bit of coffee in i got it to about 3/4's full and then got down and grabbed the milk out of the fridge, it was almost gone. "I have to head into work soon, since you'll have the day all to yourself you mind doing the shopping?" Mai asked me. Happy to be given a adult thing to do I nodded and poured the milk in and locked eyes with her as I drank it, and fought not to retch. "Oh wow, I stand corrected, Clearly you can handle your java." Mai smirked and finished her cup and put the paper down. "The list is on the fridge, if you need help with it PLEASE ask this time, I don't want you getting hurt again." Sheesh, you throw your back out carrying a couple of jugs of milk ONE time and your marked for life. Mai gave me a kiss on the forehead and took off for work, saying she'd call to check in on me. Naturally I was all was whatever and said bye. The coffee was working it's magic and I gave a little giggle and feeling FULL of energy I grabbed the shopping list and my wallet and out the door I went. You notice what I forgot to list though don't you? Thankfully the local supermarket knew me and so I didn't get the usual crap about skipping school (though they insisted I use one of the jr shopping carts..jerk butts) Zipping around the aisles and giggling a little loudly, and shaking a little, I heard more then one clerk mutter something about a sugar rush. Ignoring them I got the fruits and veggies that was on the list, some more milk, bread blah blah blah the boring stuff then came to the cookie aisle, and grinned from ear to ear. I had more then enough to go a little crazy and started to load the cart with the cookies when suddenly my tummy didn't feel right. I paused and rubbed it, and it made some funny noises and then suddenly I let out a HUGE fart that I swear they must of hear like, halfway around the world and turned crimson. I decided to play it safe and dashed for the cashier, Though I was letting out little follow up poots from my bottom and I SWEAR everyone was looking at me. Some smirked, some frowned And Maggie, the cashier, gave me a look of worry. "Sir, You can go ahead and use the washroom if you like, I'll ring this though." She offered. Maggie was in her 50's, and kind old lady, she let me get free cookies as a member of the cookie club even though technically I was too old. "I-It'll be OK." I said and flashed a smile, then my tummy hurt again and I hunched over. "Yugi dear I don't think it will be." She said and she came out from behind the till and was coming towards me when I felt anther fart brewing. "You you should stand back Maggie, I have to-" I let out a fart..that lets just say wasn't a fart and spare the awful details. In the aftermath I -might- of broken down bawling and sobbing, shaking like a leaf. Maggie tried to convince me to let her take me home or to call Mai but I just paid for the groceries and arranged delivery (thank god that was a option!) then dashed out. Some of the coffee was still helping me as I swear I was like the strike ninja I was running so fast, but still i got looks and saw people hold their noses. Thankfully I don't think anyone linked the king of games with the poopy pants bawler and I got in the building, running past one of the first floor neighbors who was coming out to walk her dog. Remember before when I aksed if you realized what I had forgotten to mention? Yeahhh I realized it too as I got to our apartment on the 3rd floor and went to grab the key, and couldn't find it. "No no no no no!" I sobbed and banged my fist on the door, letting out anther not fart and sinking to my knees. What I didn't know was the second I started to run out, Maggie god bless her interfering soul, had called Mai at the casino. Telling her what had happened Mai had rushed out of work, losing a days worth of pay to get back to the apartment asap. The rush of energy I'd felt was draining, and I was weakly resting my head on the door, whimpering no, my eye lids feeling so heavy. That's when I heard mai's voice. "Yugi!" I could tell from the tone that she had been angry at first but when I turned to her, with my tear stained cheeks and trembling bottom lip, she softened her tone and came over. "Shhh, it's OK. let's get you inside." She said gently. Mai ended up carrying me, hands under my armpit and holding me away from her, muttering something about being grateful we didn't have carpets and carried me right to the bathroom   then standing me in the tub and tilting my chin up. "Yugi, I need to try and wash most of this off of you, and I don't know how much of the hot water we have back. So it's likely gonna get cold alright?" She asked. "Why..why are you..your 'pose ta be at work." I mumbled. God I was just so sleepy! "I need you to stay awake for a little while longer and we'll talk later. Come on Yugi, what do the good guys say?" She asked, quoting lil duelers. "Never..never give up." I giggled, feeling a bit out of it. The shower head was detachable and she used it to direct the flow that started off luke warm then got cold fast, and soon I was shivering and and whimpered. "Almost done buddy." Mai coo'ed to me. "Your being such a good boy Yugi.. ok, pants coming down.. Yerahhh I know buddy that's cold.. here..work with me.. there you go.. out of the sneakers and pants...and then here go, out of the undies." Mai coo'ed walking me though everything then wrapping me up in a big fluffy towel and drying me off. She sat me on the potty , with the towel around my shoulders and it was a good thing she did, I had a few more not farts and tinkled..though I was shaking so much some of the tinkle went onto the floor. Mai came in and I pointed, my teeth were chattering too much to warn her or say sorry and she smiled. "It's ok buddy, you're sick." She said and then helped me wipe and scooped me up, bringing me into my room. "I think we're gonna stay away from the coffee from now on huh?" She asked and rubbed my back. I nodded and she smirked a lil. "I'm gonna assume that's a nod and not more shakes. I want you to take a nap Yugi, on the couch with me but I wanna get you er.. in protection with all of your-" "N-N-Not F-F-Farts." I whimpered and stuttered. "Heh..yeah not farts. If that OK?" I nodded and the last thing I honestly recall was her laying me down on the pad and reaching for a diaper. "What did you think was gonna happen! You should of refused or just had him make juice!" Anzu was growling. "Look I gave up a days pay to come back and-" Mai argued back. "And you never should of gone to work! Have you been keeping him drinking fluids!?" That was the argument I woke up to, sitting up on the couch and rubbing a eye and my mouth feeling super dry. "Whats all the noise about?" I whined, and Anzu and Mai both turned to me then to each other. "we'll talk about this later." was all Anzu said to Mai, Her voice stern then came over to me. Ok, so in hindsight.. a lot of you have likely figured out what happened. Mai spiked the sugar with laxative powder since I liked to make a morning cup of juice. Instead of making a pitcher I just make it per cup, I'm weird that way. She honestly hadn't planned on me drinking the coffee and the powder was suppose to take long enough that i would of been home when it kicked in.   The best laid plans or some crap like that. "Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" Anzu asked me and kissed my forehead. "Thirsty..and kinda icky in the tummy." I replied honestly. She nodded and looked to Mai, who went to the kitchen then she tugged back the blanket I'd been covered with and I blushed. I was in just a top and a diaper. a diaper what was clearly soaked, and judging from the smell.. "Mai, when was the last time you checked his diaper?" Anzu called and I whined, putting the pillow over my face. "uhhh about half a hour before you came home? Why did he have anther not fart?" "..Not fart?" Anzu asked and giggled. "Oh, it's what he call's that." "Ohhh I see.. Yeah. doesn't seem like a big one. " She called. "I'm RIGHT here you know." I huffed and Anzu blinked then looked sheepish. "ehehehe sorry, Looks like you had anther not fart Yugi, but it's OK, Your sick. Do you feel up to walking to your room with me or want me to carry you?" She asked. "I can walk!" I huffed and squirmed, getting my legs over the side of the couch and going to stand up. And then my legs, a bit weaker then I thought gave out on me and I landed with a squish. blushing and trying not to cry I just looked away from Anzu. How could she possible respect me, her boyfriend, when i was in a stinky diaper and couldn't even walk?! "Its ok Yugi." she cooed and kissed my cheek, scooped me up in her arms bridal style (thankfully!) and Mai followed her with a..BABY BOTTLE!? "I DON'T WANT THAT!" I yelled and pointed and Anzu signed. "Yugi, the baby bottle is because your dehydrated, that's why you feel so awful. But if we give you a cup you'll gulp everything down as fast as possible and give yourself tummy cramps. the nipple have only two holes in it to slow down how much you can drink so you won't get those cramps." She explained. whether or not that was a thing for real or not I couldn't say but as Anzu set me on the pad and Mai handed my the bottle, my thirst overwhelmed my humiliation and I poped it in my mouth. The girls were smiling big time as I suckled on the bottle, til Anzu scolded me a little. "your still drinking too fast. slower or your gonna get a gas bubble." "I don't think he's listening." Mai giggled and she was right, my thirst was overriding Anzu's advice now. "ooook, but don't blame me when I have to burp you after." I rolled my eyes at that, I was more then capable of belching all on my own. "Alright everyone, prepare yourself!" Anzu said ad untaped my diaper and GAH! I had thought it stunk before but this.. YUCK! (I'd find out later that those two were cheaters and had nose plugs in. jerk butts) Again I'll spare all the icky details, just that Anzu wiped me clean and again I er.. went into attack mode. "Heh, Sorry buddy. not while your sick." Was all Anzu said and had Mai get her a ice cube to make it go down to ensure that it wouldn't cause a problem. The stinky diaper went into the pail which now in hindsight was clearly a diaper pail but it really didn't click then. I was about halfway done with the bottle by that point and Anzu had a clean diaper under me, though I whined. "Your not better yet and this is just a precaution" She assured me as she was taping it up and then lifting my shirt up, and blowing a raspberry on my tummy. The evil witch knew I was SUPER ticklish and I was helpless to fight back and giggled like CRAZY, the bottle falling out of my mouth. "You know I think i saw a commercial for some little duelers diapers I think would fit Yugi." mai said while Anzu kept up her tickle torture. "We did go though a few more then expected today." she added "What do you think Yugi, want some cute diapies instead of boring white one? if you agree, giggling helplessly." Anzu said with a grin. I don't think i have to tell you what my response was. huffing and still semi giggling I relaxed in Anzu's arms, drinking from my bottle again as we went back out to the living room, though my chest started to feel a little funny the more I drank. Mai was talking to Anzu about whether or not she had any homework, then the phone rang and Mai was talking on it. Something about a chance to make up for the lost shift today as the feeling in my chest turn more and more owie and I fussed a little. Anzu smiled, not saying a word and I went from sitting in her lap my back to her front to being turned around and she patted my back before I could ask what she was doing I kinda sorta let out a super loud belch that got me a glare from Mai. "Sorry about that, Somebody hasn't learned to cover his mouth when he belches." She was saying. "Told ya that you'd get a gas bubble " Anzu giggled while I buried my face in her shoulder. "Hey, better the mouth then well." And she patted my tushie. "Anzuuuu!" I whined but then as she kept patting my tush it kinda felt.. nice.

Every time Bakura kisses Yugi and Ryou, they’re rough and passion filled. Ryou’s kisses are light, soft, almost feather like, but always filled with love. Yugi’s kisses however, are quick but never light or rough, they’re always often. Anywhere he can kiss, he will. Bakura uses this to advantage by keeping his face away from Yugi, so with hmph he would kiss Bakura’s neck and then walk away, leaving Bakura flustered.
Ryou enjoys all the kisses he gets from the two, especially when it was Christmas. Yugi would never let go of him while Bakura would make pancakes (the only thing he knows how to make) and they would sit and cuddle together on couch and open presents.
Yugi was always sleepy that morning but was very happy to see Ryou likes his plushie that he got for him. Bakura was grinning the whole time when Ryou got...less than average made sweaters. He still wore it.
Yugi got a game that Ryou made with Yugi’s lessons in coding. Bakura’s present to him was....another bad sweater. Yugi smiled though and pulled it over his head. “It’s ugly I love it.” Yugi said sleepily making the other two laugh.
Bakura got the best gifts from the two, some new cards and plushies from Yugi and tarot cards and candy from Ryou. Bakura was never the same afterwards, he never really got up from all the plushies and candy they gave him, so they left him be while the other two made lunch.
Needless to say but they loved Christmas together.

Puzzleshipping: A Lingering Thought
I wanted to write something for @kamikazeworld for her birthday, and I missed writing the puzzle nerds a LOT, so here you go! She wrote the lyrics in bold for a lullaby, and I wanted to write something based on it! Happy birthday, Neko!! I LOVE YOU! <3
[Also read on AO3!]

[i love you]
[in the evening, when the sun goes down]
They’re sitting on Atem’s favorite bench in the park, watching people go by and kids play around as the sun slowly sets, when Yugi turns to look at Atem and thinks, I love you.
The thought is so sudden, so unexpected (especially because he’s not in the privacy of his home, of his room, where these kinds of thoughts are safe to think about) that Yugi immediately turns his head away, blood rushing to his cheeks and making him lightheaded. He has forced himself to be careful with this precise thought for the past half year, even more so when he’s around Atem. He fears that the thought will continue to grow stronger and louder the more time they spend together until Atem can hear it, until he can read it in Yugi’s eyes.
This would, under any other circumstances, not be a problem. Under any other circumstances, Yugi could simply pull away from Atem, keep his distance, stay away until he got ahold of the treacherous thought and managed to erase it from his mind.
The thing, though, is that Yugi and Atem are around each other all the time—or as much time as they have to be around each other—and Yugi likes that. He loves it, actually. Atem’s presence is more than a reassurance that he’s here and alive and real; it’s soothing, it’s peaceful, it’s a solace that Yugi hadn’t realized he had lost until he got it back (he denied the aching emptiness in his chest for so long, trying to convince himself that his grief and mourning had nothing to do with heartbreak), and he’s not about to ruin it.
He just needs to be careful. He just needs to be careful.
He can’t ruin this. He will not ruin this.
A few pigeons land in front of the bench where they’re sitting, searching the ground for breadcrumbs. Atem visibly tenses and scoots closer to Yugi, glaring at the birds.
“I don’t trust you,” he says, narrowing his eyes, and Yugi snorts so loudly that he starts laughing. When he turns to Atem to offer an apology and assure him that he wasn’t laughing at him, he finds that Atem is smiling, his mouth twitching into a grin. “I know they seem harmless,” he adds, his tone serious despite his smile, “but they’ll take over civilization, I’m telling you.”
I love you. “I have no doubt that they will,” Yugi replies. “Good thing you’re onto them.”
Atem turns back to the pigeons, threateningly pointing a finger at them. “I’m keeping an eye on you.”
I love you, Yugi thinks again, and he shakes his head to himself. The persistent thought refuses to be ignored, even as Yugi tries to shove it to the back of his mind, lest the thought becomes tangible words, lest those tangible words leave the tip of his tongue like they so desperately want to.
They stay on the bench until the sun has gone almost entirely down, moonlight beginning to overtake what little sunrays remain. As soon as they start walking back home, their steps grow closer to each other’s until Atem’s left arm and Yugi’s right are pressed together, from their shoulders all the way down to their wrists—an unconscious habit that still makes Yugi blush and smile to himself, even though it has been six months.
The thought lingers.
[in the morning, when the world don’t make a sound]
Atem wakes up with a numb right arm.
He rubs the sleepiness out of his eyes (with his left not-numb arm, thank you very much) and blinks wearily, and it’s only when he’s fully conscious that he realizes he and Yugi fell asleep on the couch.
They were watching a movie last night, sitting close together and trying not to yawn. They missed movie night last week and didn’t want to miss another one. Atem started the tradition a few months ago, and even though he assured Yugi that they could do movie night tomorrow (because he could tell Yugi was more tired than he had cared to admit), Yugi insisted that he wasn’t tired enough to break their tradition, and Atem’s heart did this little somersault inside his chest that had him smiling idiotically for however long it took them to decide on a movie and play it.
Atem remembers yawning first, followed shortly by Yugi’s own yawn, but they refused to stop the movie, decided to finish watching it before going to sleep. Apparently, their bodies had disagreed with their determination, and they must have fallen asleep before the movie was over, if their current position was anything to go by.
Atem’s leaning his head against Yugi’s shoulder, and the reason his right arm is numb is because he’s had it pressed against Yugi’s for only Ra knows how many hours. But Yugi’s head is resting on top of his and he’s snoring softly, still soundly asleep, so Atem dares not to move. He would rather die again than wake Yugi up when he’s like this, soft and warm next to Atem, sleeping peacefully after he’s had several sleepless nights, his slight snoring the only sound in the room besides the pounding of Atem’s heart in his ears.
I love you, Atem thinks, watching Yugi’s chest rising and falling in sync with his breaths, mesmerized. He feels like the world outside Yugi’s home—outside his living room, even—doesn’t exist, like it’s just this room and the couch they fell asleep upon and them.
It’s not the first time he’s had the thought; of course it isn’t, he’s had this thought for a long time, before he came back, even before he left, even before he was told who he was. Sometimes he feels as if the thought has always been there, and it’s only now that he’s given himself the chance (the luxury) to think it.
I love you, he thinks again, though he bites the words down when they threaten to slip past his mouth. They’re safe as a mere thought, as something Atem can repeat over and over again in his head, as something he can imagine himself saying, knowing that he will never be courageous enough to actually do it—not even with Yugi asleep beside him, unable to hear him. Why risk it?
He just needs to be careful. He just needs to be careful.
He can’t ruin this. He will not ruin this.
Atem doesn’t know how long he’ll have to wait for Yugi to stir and wake up so they can move. It doesn’t matter. He doesn’t mind waiting.
The thought lingers.
[in the daylight, when there’s laughter all around]
It was Grandpa’s idea to host a small Duel Monsters tournament at the Game Shop, mainly for kids who were only starting to play and wanted to practice their skills with other beginners. Yugi’s mother argued that, surely, he just wanted the shop to make some profit off Yugi’s success as a Duel Monsters champion, but Grandpa swore that was not the case. In fact, he made both Yugi and Atem stay away from the Game Shop to prove his point, and he didn’t allow them back inside until all the children had left, their hands full of new card packs and the promise that they would come back for the next tournament.
Yugi and Atem were not forced out of the Game Shop for this next tournament, and they watched the small little store fill to the brim with kids whose ages ranged from 6-years old to 17-year-old teenagers. Even a few adults showed up as well. The Game Shop was so full, in fact, that Yugi and Atem had to put chairs and tables outside the store so that everyone had a little more space.
They do the same when the day of the third Game Shop tournament rolls around, except that they do it before the matches start. It’s less of a fuss that way.
An hour and a half before the tournament, Yugi turns at the sound of the door bell and finds a group of middle-schoolers huddled together, glancing around like they don’t want to be here. He puts down the box (the first one of many) with the newly arrived merchandise he’s supposed to arrange along the shelves and smiles warmly.
“Welcome to the Game Shop!” he greets the group. “Are you here for the tournament?” He glances at the clock. “I’m afraid you’re a little early for that.”
A boy takes a step forward, his arms glued to his sides. “N-no, we—we’re not here for the tournament.”
They don’t seem like they want to buy any games, so Yugi waits for the boy to continue.
“A-are you Mutou Yugi?” he asks.
“Yes,” Yugi answers, frowning slightly. It doesn’t seem like they’re looking for a duel with him or anything of the sort, either, so he doesn’t understand how his name matters in this situation.
When the boy says nothing, a girl bumps her arm against his and turns to Yugi.
“W-we… we want to learn how to play Duel Monsters!” Then she looks down at her shoes and shyly mumbles, “Please?”
The rest of the teenagers currently huddled at the door mutter amongst themselves, all of them blushing in what Yugi can only assume is embarrassment.
“We’ve watched a few matches,” says another girl. “But we still don’t get a lot of the rules.”
“And when we ask other kids to show us how to play, they make fun of us,” another boy adds. “They say we should know already, but how can we know if no one’ll tell us how?”
That’s not fair. No one should be made fun of just because they don’t know how to do something, much less if they’re trying to learn and no one will take them seriously. Yugi balls his hands into fists, his blood boiling, and he’s about to say something he’ll possibly regret right after he says it when he feels a hand on his shoulder steadying him, grounding him. Atem is standing next to him, his grip gentle but firm, showing up exactly when Yugi needs him to.
Atem smiles warmly at him, and Yugi feels as his anger ebbs out of him and his hands, tightened so hard that his nails are digging into his palms, loosen. His entire body relaxes. He almost leans against Atem, but he manages to refrain himself.
“Did I hear you guys right?” Atem asks, his attention on the group of middle-schoolers. “You want to learn how to play Duel Monsters?”
“Will you teach us?” pleads the boy that first stepped forward.
Yugi looks at Atem just as Atem looks at him. He knows that Atem will gladly take over Yugi’s duty to arrange the merchandise if he asks him as much (and even if he doesn’t ask).
“Would it be okay with you if my friend here taught you instead of me?” Yugi asks the teenagers, and he doesn’t miss the way Atem immediately pulls his hand back from his shoulder in surprise.
He also knows, however, that this opportunity is perfect—or at least, much better suited—for Atem, even if he won’t say it. Even if he won’t believe it.
“I—wh-what?” Atem stammers.
The middle-schoolers take a collective sharp breath, their eyes widening.
“R-really?” asks one of the girls, and her voice is threaded with disbelief, like she can’t believe they’re not being mocked but actually listened to.
“Just take a seat,” Yugi tells her as confirmation, and the group disbands immediately to sit down at the tables already set up with a duel mat, pulling decks and loose cards out of their pockets and backpacks as they speak to each other in hushed, eager voices.
“Yugi,” Atem whispers urgently, turning his back to the teenagers and grabbing Yugi’s sleeve. “I’m not sure this is a good idea.”
“I’m sure it is,” Yugi says.
“I’ve never taught anyone anything!”
That’s not true, he wants to say, recalling how much he has learned about himself thanks to Atem. Yugi takes his hand and gently uncurls it from his sleeve so he can hold it in his own hand instead. “You’ll do great, I know it.”
Atem presses his lips together and stares down at their held hands for a second longer than Yugi thought he would. It makes his ears go red, but he doesn’t let go. To his relief, neither does Atem.
“Okay,” Atem mumbles, the word whooshing out of him in a rushed sigh. “Okay,” he repeats, and he squeezes Yugi’s hand as if asking for one last reassurance. Yugi squeezes his hand back.
I love you, he thinks despite his better judgement.
Atem turns to his future students, who go quiet and give him their full attention.
“All right,” he tells them, all self-confidence and boyish cockiness, all his nerves apparently gone. “Are you ready to start? I need two volunteers!”
Yugi continues arranging the new games and card packs and boosters along the shelves and the counter display, but he can’t help turning his head to stare at Atem as he leans over the biggest table inside the Game Shop (all the middle-schoolers moved their chairs to sit around it) and talks about the basics of Duel Monsters. The two girls who volunteered at the beginning are sat at the ends of the table, having a “practice duel,” and Atem goes over every move they make, explaining how monsters and their attack and defense points work, how to tribute summon and how to special summon, the different kinds of traps there are, how spells can help you by strengthening you or weakening your opponent.
At some point, Atem looks up from the table and meets Yugi’s gaze with a smile.
I love you, Yugi thinks even as he turns away to get the contents of a third box. He feels like the more he tries to keep that thought out of his head, the more stubborn it becomes, and if he doesn’t do anything to stop it, it will eventually make its way past his lips and out into the world and it will ruin everything—
“Yes!” Atem yells victoriously, and his students break into cheers and excited applause and ecstatic laughter. Yugi doesn’t know which girl won and which one lost, or even if there was a winner at all, but he smiles at the sight anyway: a group of middle-schoolers sitting around a table, experiencing the joys of being a duelist for the first time, and Atem kneeling in front of it, his mouth moving with words that Yugi can’t hear but that make the kids cheer even louder.
He looks so happy that Yugi feels it right along with him, his chest swelling with pride and with so much love that it could burst right out of him. It’s a miracle it doesn’t.
I love you, Yugi thinks again, sighing to himself. He might as well accept that there’s no use in trying not to think it.
I love you. I love you. I love you.
He gets the first game out of the third box of newly arrived merchandise and climbs the ladder to reach one of the top shelves.
The thought lingers.
[in the nighttime, when the stars will surely shine]
The rainstorm hits unexpectedly. The light goes out shortly after the first lightning flashes in the sky, thunder booming over their heads. Atem, who had been reading a book that Mrs. Mutou lent him at the kitchen table, places the bookmark (which she lent him as well) on the page he left off, closing the book.
Yugi sighs from his chair across the table. “Well,” he says, shutting the lid of his laptop. “I guess I’m not getting any more work done today.”
Atem glances out the window at the sky. It doesn’t look like the dark clouds will let up anytime soon. If anything, the rain sounds heavier and stronger with each passing second.
“I don’t think the lights will come back for a while,” he says, anxiety starting to make his hands itch. He’s gotten better at dealing with blackouts and darkness in general, but it’s still a work in progress. Besides, some days are just better than others, and he has no way of knowing what kind of day it’ll be until a situation like this happens.
“I wouldn’t be so sure,” Yugi says behind him. When Atem swirls to look at him, Yugi clears his throat and cries, “Let there be light!” before dramatically raising his arm above his head and turning on the flashlight in his hand. Atem laughs at the proud grin on Yugi’s face.
My hero, is what he thinks at first, but perhaps that’s a bit too much to say to the friend he has such strong feelings for. I love you, is his next thought, which is no surprise at all, because that’s the one thought he can never get rid off, the one thought that is always, always, always in his mind.
He’s selfishly glad they don’t share a mind link anymore. He can barely hide the thought as it is.
Atem settles on saying, “Brilliant,” which makes Yugi chuckle. It’s looking like this will be a good day, after all.
The rain and the added darkness of the blackout make the entire house feel a little colder, so Atem offers to make some tea.
“Do you want some help?” Yugi asks him, but Atem shakes his head and ushers him towards the table.
“You’ve had a long week,” he replies. “Go sit down and rest.”
“It’s just tea,” Yugi insists.
“Exactly,” Atem says, motioning Yugi to sit down. “Go on, shoo.”
Yugi rolls his eyes, though he can’t hide the way his lips curl upwards as he turns to the kitchen table and takes a seat. Atem stares at him for perhaps a second too long, his own mouth curving into a smile.
I love you. He has to clear his throat before talking again. “N-now, see? That wasn’t so difficult, was it?” he teases Yugi, shoving the thought to the back of his mind. Yugi makes a big show out of taking a deep breath and sighing in resignation.
“I guess,” he relents, and Atem has to turn to the stove, because the thought has escaped whatever corner Atem pushed it to and it’s currently bouncing around his head, unstoppable.
It’s not that he doesn’t want Yugi to help him, and it’s definitely not that he doesn’t want Yugi standing close to him, handing him the utensils he needs and waiting for the water to boil. Making tea, as trivial as it might seem, is the one thing Atem knows how to “cook.” Mrs. Mutou is still wary about him helping out in the kitchen after he and Yugi tried baking cookies a few months ago and nearly ended up burning down the entire house, but he has proven he can make tea without a hitch, and he’s proud of that, okay?
(Mrs. Mutou has no problem with Atem trying to help her out, though, which he’s thankful for. He likes watching her bake or cook, hoping that he’ll one day learn enough to do the same without turning the stove into a fire hazard.)
(He hopes one day he’ll be able to surprise Yugi with a homemade meal to express his gratitude for… well, for everything, really. He feels like it’s the least he can do.)
“What were you working on?” Atem asks while the water on the kettle boils, turning sideways so he can keep an eye on it without having his back to Yugi.
Yugi’s arms are crossed over the table, and he leans his chin on them. “There are still a few glitches and bugs I need to work out for Spherium II before I can even start on the prototype,” he answers. “Just when I think I’ve solved one issue, another one pops up.”
“But that’s good, isn’t it?” Atem, still sideways, leans against the stove. “That way there won’t be any bugs or glitches when you release the game.”
“I mean,” Yugi mumbles, looking away from Atem. “I still don’t know if I’ll ever be able to release it—”
“Of course you will,” Atem interjects, fully turning so he’s facing Yugi. “You can do anything you set your mind to, Yugi, especially if it’s something you’re so passionate about. You’ve already put so much work into Spherium II, and it shows.”
The kettle starts whistling, and Atem turns off the stove. Then he grabs the kettle and pours them both a cup of tea, setting one down in front of Yugi and one in front of the chair across from him, taking a seat.
“I’m not just saying that, either,” he continues. “When you release it—and you will be able to, don’t give me that look—everyone else will see that, too.”
Yugi’s hands curl around his cup, staring at Atem without saying a word. For a second, Atem fears that he’s gone too far, that he’s pushed too much, that he’s crossed a line he didn’t realize existed until it hit him in the face. He feels the heat of shame on the back of his neck, and he’s about to apologize when Yugi lets out this little sound like a laugh or a sigh of contentment.
“Well,” he says at last. There’s a shy smile on his lips and a blush across his cheeks. “When you put it like that, how could I ever doubt it?”
Now Atem is the one who looks away, unable to look straight at that smile and know that the words he said are the reason for it. He takes a sip from his tea in the hopes that it’ll calm his racing heart, but Yugi’s still looking at him like he puts the sun in the sky every single day, and the heat Atem feels crawling up the back of his neck isn’t because of shame any longer.
He briefly meets Yugi’s gaze with his own.
I love you, he thinks. The thought doesn’t feel as unwelcome as it did mere minutes ago.
Still, Atem realizes that they’ve just been staring at each other for a while now, so he clears his throat and takes another sip of his tea. Yugi, apparently, comes to the same conclusion, because he chuckles nervously and glances away at the book Atem was reading before the lights went out.
“Is this any good?” he asks curiously, his fingers softly caressing the cover. “I know it’s one of Mom’s favorites, but I don’t actually know what it is about.”
Atem lets out a sigh of relief at the change in conversation. “Oh, yeah! I’m a little over halfway done, and I’ve really liked it so far!” he says. Then he delves into a general summary of what he’s read, careful not to spoil any major details or plot points in case Yugi wants to pick it up after he’s done with it.
When they both finish their tea, Yugi stands up from the table, grabs both his cup and Atem’s, and heads to the sink. “Here, I’ll do it.”
“Oh, you don’t have to—”
“You made the tea,” Yugi interrupts him. “At least let me take care of this, okay?”
Atem copies Yugi’s faux annoyance from earlier and rolls his eyes. “Fine,” he exhales. “If you must.”
Yugi grins at him with the same admiration as before, and it’s too much for Atem to handle. So he turns away and stares at his hands, trying not to focus on how close Yugi’s standing to him. He tries to pay attention to the running water of the sink, but that ultimately fails, too.
I love you, comes the treacherous thought again, except that it doesn’t feel all that treacherous anymore, not with the way Yugi smiles at him, not with the way Yugi holds his hand sometimes.
Not with the way Yugi looks at him when he thinks Atem can’t see it.
I love you, Atem mouths quietly, savoring the thought-turned-words, making sure that he doesn’t actually say it out loud. It doesn’t feel as dangerous on his tongue as he imagined it would. I love you. It’s heavy, yes, but in a different way than Atem used to believe. He used to believe that it was a threat, that it would ruin everything, destroy everything if it was ever spoken and made tangible—if it was ever made real.
Now he believes that maybe, just maybe, rather than destroy, it can create something new.
I love you. I love you. I love you.
Outside, the rain goes on. It will for the rest of the night, but the clouds will eventually dissipate and let the stars shine through.
The thought lingers.
[in the day, and i’m yours…]
You can do anything you set your mind to, Yugi, especially if it’s something you’re so passionate about.
That’s what Atem told him the night of the storm two weeks ago, and it’s all Yugi has been able to think about since then.
The thought has been, somehow, even more insistent lately—so insistent, in fact, that Yugi has completely given up on trying to ignore it, on trying to push it into a box and then locking it away where he won’t find it, where he won’t be able to reach it. He has come to realize that it doesn’t work in the slightest.
On the contrary, now he’s started to think about the possibility of saying the thought rather than keep it inside his head.
The prospect seems terrifying, and it feels even more so.
Part of him screams in despair at the mere image of him letting the thought make it past his mouth. He imagines his legs shaking and his hands sweating, and he imagines himself speaking the thought (like he has done when he’s alone, when Atem isn’t around, when he can’t help but wonder how it’ll feel to say it out loud) and then the silence that will undoubtedly ensue, and he imagines the possible rejection and his heart breaking at the sight of it and what if it destroys everything, what if Atem doesn’t just outright reject him but also hates him afterwards?
But the other part of him imagines it differently.
The other part of him has noticed the way Atem holds onto him like he’s a lifeline, the way Atem laughs when they’re together.
The way Atem looks at him when he doesn’t realize that Yugi is looking back.
You can do anything you set your mind to, Atem said.
It’s all Yugi has been able to think about.
Even though he and Atem have been playing this game for well over an hour and a half, sitting cross-legged between the headboard of his bed and the computer sitting in front of them, taking turns when either of them dies or gets stuck in an area, Yugi’s starting to have trouble paying attention to the screen.
He’s much more aware of how close he and Atem are sitting.
“C’mon, c’mon, c’mon,” Atem mutters, making the character he’s controlling dash under one of the dual bosses he’s facing. He snarls in frustration when he gets hit, bringing his health masks down to the very last one. “Why are there so many of them?!”
“You almost got it, you almost got it!” Yugi cries, though he understands the sentiment. This particular boss is composed of six knights, two at a time, and they all roll from one side of the screen to the other, bounce in random patterns, and slash at their character when they try to heal. “You’ve only got two more!”
Yugi’s encouragement, sadly, isn’t enough, because Atem gets hit again before he can heal, effectively prompting the death animation of their character. Atem groans loudly and falls back on the bed at the same time Yugi throws his hands up in despair. They’ve been playing this game for well over an hour and a half, but they’ve been attempting to beat this boss for the last forty-five minutes.
“I was so close,” Atem mumbles, his voice muffled by his hands covering his face. The controller rests on his crossed legs. “I was so close…”
“You were doing really well,” Yugi tells him, patting his shoulder.
“I was so close!”
“I know.”
Atem’s chest inflates with air and then lowers as he lets out a deep, long sigh. He rubs at his eyes and sits up again. “Okay,” he says, handing the controller to Yugi. “Your turn.”
Something snaps inside Yugi.
Or perhaps something snapped a long time ago, and he’s stopped denying it to himself.
He takes the controller from Atem’s hands, presses Pause, and carefully places it down in the space between them and the computer. Then he grabs Atem’s face and kisses him.
  [if you’ll be mine]
Atem feels like he’s a computer that has encountered an error and has stopped working altogether.
He freezes on the spot, his entire body going rigid when Yugi presses his mouth to his. Is he still breathing? Has he stopped breathing? He doesn’t know, his brain is not responding, his arms and lungs and chest are not responding, his entire body is not responding, is he dead?
No. No, he’s not. He’s just being kissed by the boy he loves.
Atem thankfully comes to this realization soon enough to kiss Yugi back before he pulls away. The tension flows out of him as his hands come up to gently hold Yugi’s neck (and he relishes the lovely pulse under his fingers, right beneath Yugi’s skin), and he pushes back against Yugi’s lips and downright shivers at the surprised little sound that comes out of Yugi’s mouth, a combination of a sigh and a hum that makes electricity course through him.
When Atem breaks away from the kiss—only slightly and only to catch his breath, he’s absolutely planning to indulge in some more kissing, if Yugi will allow him—Yugi immediately kisses him again, almost desperately, and now Atem is the one making these little noises that sound like gasps, and he feels Yugi shivering under his hands because of him and oh, gods, have mercy on him.
Atem doesn’t know how long they stay like that, kissing on Yugi’s bed while the game they’ve been playing for over an hour and a half is paused on the computer in front of them. It doesn’t seem to matter.
He feels Yugi reluctantly pulling away from him, and he has to hold himself back from just leaning in and closing the short distance between their mouths again. Atem rests his forehead against Yugi’s, his heart pounding inside his ribcage, its beat ringing in his ears. He breathes in deeply, allowing his chest to fill with air and then exhaling it out.
“I love you,” Yugi murmurs, his lips nearly brushing Atem’s.
It makes Atem gasp again. It’s the same thought he spent so long denying to himself, the same thought he tried so hard to ignore until he simply gave up and decided to let it roam freely around his head—the same thought he had just started to consider saying out loud.
And now Yugi is saying it. To him.
“I love you,” Atem says back, unable to hold back the grin taking over his mouth. Yugi laughs and grins right along with him, and Atem feels so overwhelmed, so happy and so loved and so free now that the thought has been made real that he wants to repeat it over and over and over again.
And the best part is that he can.
Atem can say it again whenever he wants to, secure in the knowledge that Yugi will say it back.
Yugi lets go of him to grab the controller and turn his attention to his computer screen once more. “Let’s give the Watcher Knights another go, shall we?”

Sleepy, snuggly, groggy, cuddly, grab-the-person-next-to-me-to-use-as-a-pillow, can't-hold-my-own-head-up-anymore, eyes-won't-stop-closing, I'm-too-sleepy-for-anything-anymore!Atem is the most underrated thing ever and you will not convince me otherwise
Imagine it though
For years Atem has only ever had to worry about sleep in the way that it affected Yugi, and ok yeah he's not the deepest sleeper probably but he's also pretty healthy, and that never really affected Atem past "Huh, I'm a little tired during this duel, Yugi must not have slept well", so getting his own body means having to get used to things like sleep again
More importantly: Having to get used to the sudden onset "Oh shit I was awake five minutes ago why am I falling asleep now!?" feelings
Mid-day crashes where he's kind of half aware and desperately trying to figure out where the nearest source of caffiene or sugar is so that he can wake the hell back up
Late night gaming sessions/conversations/reading/doing-literally-anything with the slow decline of "I'm fine, I got this :)" to "Oh... no....." to "I have blacked out seven times in the last hour and don't remember where I am anymore wtf" to stone cold asleep on the nearest surface, sometimes the floor, he isn't picky
Exhausted "I'm gonna sleep for five thousand years now" tired after finishing a big tournament or going to a convention or GOING TO DISNEYLAND OR SOMETHING oh god oh GOD how do people live like this!?
Trying desperately to stay awake through any means necessary and trying ALL of those stunts that we tried as children: Cold water, caffiene/sugar, loud music, ice, etc, and obviously none of it works
Waking up in the mornings after an especially deep sleep looking like he just got hit by a car- hair askew, mouth kinda open, eyes only half focused, body wobbling, totally not actually ready to be awake but he is anyway (or atleast he's trying to be) (sidenote: I imagine this is his default wake up state no matter how much sleep he gets because he's just so mentally not used to it, it's too weird when his mind shuts down like that, and then having to wake up every single morning and kind of... feel his body come back online, remember that he HAS a body, wait for all of his senses to boot up because he's still a little detached from it, ten years after he gets his own body he's still waking up like that to literally EVERYONE'S amusement)
Deep sleeper who could probably get hit by a bus and still not wake up
Light sleeper who wakes up at every slight noise but is only ever half-aware of any of it before crashing again
Motionless sleeper who falls asleep in One Position TM and doesn't move for the rest of the night
Tossy-turny sleeper who moves every five minutes and his bed is a disaster zone every morning because wtf how did the pillow end up half-way across the room!?
Falling asleep in public and immediately grabbing the first living creature to use as a body pillow, every now and then he snatches a cat or a dog if he's visiting someone with pets (or if he's home with his own pets) but 9/10 times it's the closest person to him, most people find this hilarious and snuggle back but every now and then you get someone like Kaiba or Mai who Does Not Know What To Do and just has to roll with it because they can't quite bring themselves to push him away
REFUSING to fall asleep when there are any other people around and acting like the way sick animals do in the wild- scouting out a private place to go if he's 100% sure that he can't keep his eyes open any longer and slinking off without a word to crash for a power nap, wich leads to people finding him in all sorts of weird places, none of them have the heart to tell him that he's not fooling anyone and they all know about his occasional borderline narcolepsy, on the other hand if he's actually spending the night with someone he will not sleep first, it doesn't matter what the situation is, he just can't bring himself to "lose" by being the first one to fall asleep, Kaiba becomes aware of this and, during an overnight business trip/tournament/whatever, makes it a point to share sleeping space with Atem just to force him to either own up to his weird quirk or fall the fuck asleep and by the time morning comes either A. Neither of them slept or B. They fell asleep at the same time and spend the rest of their lives arguing about who fell asleep first
But best of all? BEST OF ALL?
CUDDLY SLEEPER
Grabs his partner and doesn't let go, kinda slings his entire body on top of them, squeezes to keep them from leaving, a little like a snake, it's kinda concerning
Hugs his partner's arm in his sleep but doesn't do anything else because Personal Space (but lol they're never getting that arm back)
Not so much cuddly when he falls asleep but two hours later he's boa-constricting whoever is next to him
VERY cuddly when he falls asleep and this does not change until he wakes up the next morning (and even that's just a maybe)
Wakes up atleast mostly alert in the mornings and likes to just stare at his partner and appreciate them until the alarm goes off or they wake up, wichever comes first
"Wakes up" being a loose term for what actually happens for the entire first twenty minutes of the morning as he snuggles and nuzzles and rolls against them like a very sleepy cat who doesn't even have the good sense to open his eyes yet but he's sure happy to unconsciously rub their back and smell their hair and do other catish things because c'mon
Just... give me more of The Pharaoh being a complete wreck when he sleeps because OFCOURSE HE IS

Right back at ya: Rivalshipping for the OTP asks ;) ♡
It took a bit but here it is! The complete list finished!
OTP Asks
1. Who texts more often?
During business hours, Yugi. He texts Seto everything he will forget to tell him when they see each other. The little nothings, like what happened at the store or how well his recipe turned out. Seto keeps his phone on silent and only replies on his breaks.
Outside of business hours, Seto loves texting. His hands are large enough to do it one handed.

2. Who is better with kids?
Most would say Yugi, but Seto has practically raised Mokuba. Seto isn't the fun parent. He's fair, however. Yugi just tries to keep the kid happy and also kinda turns into one again when he's around them.

3. Who tops/bottoms?

Both! Though Seto is usually pretty tired and has Yugi do all the work, whether being penetrated or not. Yugi likes taking care of Seto this way. Also: on the occasion Seto takes the lead, Yugi better have the next day off. Seto can and has taken HOURS.
4. How do they eat ice cream? What’s their favorite flavors?
Seto takes his in a little cup, Yugi has a cone. Both share the flavours they picked. Seto always having vanilla and something else, Yugi is adventurous and picks something new or a new combination every time.

5. Do they go on dates? What are they like?
Yes! Depending on who asks who, they either go out to eat or go on double dates with Yugi’s friends. (It's just an excuse to get Seto to be around them.) Also just quit nights in playing various table top and digital games.

6. Do they stargaze? Expand.

Seto has a balcony with a telescope and they tried it, but it started raining. It's still on the bucket list. It got too cold and cloudy before they could try again.
7. Who’s the laziest?
Yugi. Seto likes making sure his partner is taken care of, even if he's absent a lot. It gives Yugi a lot of time to just nap. Also naps on the couch in Seto’s office.

8. Who complains more?
Seto about the incompetence of (some) employees. Also if things aren't up to standard when receiving goods and/or services.

9. Who wakes up earlier?

Seto. Work and all that. When he does get to sleep in, he beats Yugi by a couple hours.
10. What do they smell when they smell amortentia?

Newly printed books, Yugi's hair products and a hint of electronics/metal.
11. Who sets the other’s ringtone to something loud and obnoxious behind their back?

Seto, and because Yugi knows Seto would be very upset if his phone rang around important people with something weird, he doesn't do it back.
12. Who uses chopsticks/Can either of them use chopsticks?

Both of them! Though Yugi thinks Seto is waaay too graceful with them or any utensil.
13. When they can’t sleep what do they do?

Seto will tinker with machinery or designs. All personal pursuits. Yugi will play solitaire or other 1 player games until he's sleepy again.
14. Who’s clumsier?

Yugi, although a very sleep deprived Seto can give Yugi a run for his money. Also more dangerous and ridiculous.
15. Who would hold the umbrella in the rain?

Both of them. Seto is too tall, Yugi gets wet. Yugi is too small, Seto bumps his head.
16. What do they argue about most?

Seto’s work hours. Yugi understands that they are necessary SOMETIMES. Seto always puts in more hours.
17. Which one is a secret snuggler?

Seto. He usually ends up being the little spoon during the night. Yugi is either his backpack or draped over him.
18. Which one offers their jacket to the other when they complain they feel cold?

Seto. Yugi is so so so small and usually cold. Gets wrapped up in Seto’s giant coats that drag on the ground behind him if Yugi isn't careful.
19. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?

Neither! Yugi never knows exactly what Seto is in the mood for and Yugi is too food adventurous to try.
20. Who reaches for the other one’s hand while driving?

Yugi. Seto always drives, because in Seto’s cars Yugi has trouble seeing the road because of his height. It gives Yugi comfort because he doesn't like being in cars too much.
21. Who gets the window seat?

Yugi. Seto will be busy working and won't enjoy the view anyway.
22. Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it say?)
Yugi. Little nothings and reminders of important things coming up. Sometimes a ‘good luck’ if there is an important meeting.
23. Who wakes up first?

Seto because work and Yugi loooves sleeping in.
24. Who falls asleep while watching a movie?
Both. Mokuba has discovered them knocked out on the couch on multiple occasions.

25. Who’s prone to wearing socks indoors (or to sleep)?

Yugi, as he's always cold. Seto is either wearing shoes or barefoot.
26. Who has bigger cravings?

Seto. If he wants something, he gets it. Yugi is his impulse control a lot of the time.
27. Who reminds the other to put on sunscreen before going to the beach (or pool)?
Seto, because he's done the same for Mokuba for years.

28. Who carries all the important documents while traveling?

Seto because he has a few control issues with documents.
29. Who sneaks in cookies in the shopping cart?

Yugi (Mokuba helps)
30. Who cooks at 2 in the morning?

Not really cooking, but Seto heats up shit after coming home from work late.
31. Who gets extremely competitive playing Mario Kart?

Both. Dorks.
32. Who takes longer getting ready?

Yugi. Seto only does some concealer, Yugi always has a full face of make-up, unless there is an emergency.
33. Who likes doing the dishes?

Neither. That's why Seto has staff. Sometimes Yugi still does it. He isn't used to it being done for him and makes him a bit uncomfortable.
34. Who points at a dog when they see it?

Yugi. He's been trying to bribe Seto into a pet. Mokuba, again, helps. It hasn't worked so far.
35. Who’s prone to road rage?
Seto, as anyone's incompetence makes his temper flare.
This was fun! Thanks for the ask! Hope you enjoyed it^^

A post that will only be of interest to maybe like two of my mutuals, but whatever, I want to write it. It’s a summary of the garbage Azureshipping fic I wrote many many years ago, while the dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh! anime was still airing. I included some excerpts from this story as well, though I’ve already shared them with a few of you. This story was never given a title, was never given an ending, is 350 handwritten pages long, and is crap. But I’m very fond of it even still. (BTW, this summary is very -very- streamlined. The work as a whole is a pure mess.)
Kaiba Corporation mysteriously goes under, and Seto and Mokuba are left penniless. I didn’t bother to going into detail regarding this, but it’s implied dark forces are at work. In the meantime, the brothers scrape by, living in a shabby apartment, and Seto seems to have given up. Yugi and Tea visit the brothers and Yugi offers to give them money, to which Seto’s attitude is, “Piss off! I don’t want your charity!” but as Seto’s turned away, Mokuba snatches the money from Yugi’s hand and whispers, “Thank you.” Meanwhile, in his dreams, Mokuba sees strange fragments of the past and the future.
Seto is deemed an incompetent parent to Mokuba by social services and Mokuba is taken away, but Mokuba runs away from the agency and takes to living on the streets for a string of days. A new Duel Monsters tournament is being held in a nearby city and Seto enters, hoping to win the grand cash prize, and is full of misery. Joey and Mai also enter this tournament. Seto and Joey duel, the two exchanging insults, but Seto wins and he proceeds to the finals. (I should mention I didn’t actually write any of the duels in this story. The moves are kept vague.) The final game is between Seto and Mai. Joey’s still unhappy about losing to Kaiba, meanwhile Yugi, “Yami,” and Tea watch the duel silently and uncomfortably. Tea then sees Mokuba in the crowd, watching his brother, and so in that moment she begins to cheer for Seto. Seto wins the duel and Mai doesn’t really seem to mind at all. But Seto isn’t given the prize money, because the tournament’s host has a grudge against Kaiba Corporation. (I don’t give any details for why.) And Mokuba vanishes, remaining hidden in the streets.
That night however, the Millennium Ring takes on a life of its own and teleports onto Mokuba’s body, and Yami Bakura’s energy possesses him. (I was making the Millennium Ring possess random people before DSoD made it cool!) Possessed Mokuba goes to the hotel Yugi and co. are staying in and he steals the Millennium Items, Joey’s deck and duel disk, and Tea’s cellphone, but Yugi and Tea catch him in the act. Possessed Mokuba races off into the night with the pair of friends in tow, when suddenly a man in a truck snatches up Mokuba (such an original plot point) and the Items from the street. The man rushes to an airplane held at the edge of the city, drives the truck into its cargo bay, and it flies off towards Egypt.
At some point around this part I decided this was going to be an Azure romance. While I realized the woman in Seto’s vision during his duel with Isis was far and away most likely not going to actually be Tea, I decided to give Tea a vision of that moment with the implication it’s her.
After finding him, Tea tells Kaiba what’s happened and he’s infuriated. Tea tells him to try tracking her cellphone and he does (just somehow), and they pinpoint his brother’s location in Egypt. Tea has enough money for two plane tickets, and while Seto isn’t happy about it, he needs to rescue Mokuba of course, and so she and Seto go together as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Yugi, Joey, and Tristan explain the situation to Mai and she decides to front the money for the four of them to fly to Egypt on another later flight.
Mokuba is still possessed by Yami Bakura as he’s brought to an underground temple in a secluded corner of Egypt. There are three siblings, who I make it clear care very much about each other: the oldest brother, the middle child who is the head of the group—a woman with short purple hair and wearing a black dress, and the youngest sister who has brilliant red hair and is in white robes. (I was ripping off the Ishtar siblings as villains before DSoD made it cool!) (I’ll also note it doesn’t seem they caused the collapse of Kaiba Corporation from earlier.) I wrote this story before the Millennium Scale was revealed in the anime, and it’s the Big McGuffin here. The siblings are the protectors of the Scale, which is said to be the most dangerous of the Millennium Items. The Scale is welded to a stone and only the chosen one may remove it, King-Arthur-and-the-Sword-style. There’s a prophecy inscribed in the temple walls, which states in part that the wielder of the Millennium Scale will become a vessel to filter evil from the Shadow Realm into the mortal world, and the siblings believe Mokuba is the chosen bearer of the Scale. Yami Bakura is gleeful at the chance to take hold of another Millennium Item but his spirit is unable to budge it, and touching the Scale ejects his grasp over Mokuba’s body. None the less, the siblings jump to the conclusion that they were mistaken, this boy is much too young to be the bearer anyway, and that it must be the older Kaiba brother who is the chosen one instead. Despite being the villains who kidnapped him, the trio are actually fairly hospitable to Mokuba. The middle sister is grouchy about how things have gone, though she’s happy to keep the Millennium Items for herself, and she has the friendly and pretty youngest sister (who is Mokuba’s age at that) take Mokuba into town in the morning.
Tea and Seto arrive at Egypt together and head to the place they’ve pinpointed, and in the town they find Mokuba waiting, and he and Seto have their sweet warm reunion at last. But tensions are high. Tea and Mokuba decide they need to get the Millennium Items back, and Seto agrees begrudgingly after Mokuba confronts him with, “How is it better?! What’s happened to you? You don’t care about anything anymore. […] If you go home I’ll come, but if you care, then help Tea get that stuff back.” Mokuba leads them to the temple in the nighttime and they sneak inside. They grab the collection of Items, but before they go, Mokuba finds himself strangely drawn to the Millennium Scale. It’s as if there’s a magical tug, and he goes to it and nudges it, whispering, “It is me…” before Tea and Seto call him to leave.
(Stuff gets really convoluted at this part and I’m really streamlining it here.) As they escape, Tea loses her sandals. There’s a confrontation with the trio of siblings, and soon Tea and Seto only have the Millennium Rod as all the other Items are stolen back, and the purple-haired woman challenges Mokuba to a duel for some weirdo reason, summoning the Shadow Realm as a test or something. Mokuba duels using Joey’s deck and duel disk but flounders. Tea shouts for Yugi, and with this, thousands of miles away, Yami realizes the others are in trouble. But as Mokuba’s about to lose, Seto uses the Millennium Rod to shatter the Shadow Realm, and so Mokuba’s soul is safe. Seto, Tea, and Mokuba steal the siblings’ car (noticeably not the truck; I don’t know what happened to the truck or airplane) and drive off, back towards the town.
Shadi appears to Mokuba in a vision spouting lofty nonsense about destiny at some point.
At nightfall, Tea and Seto have this embarrassingly written romantic moment:
[from pages 206 to 211; it’s goofy and bad and overwritten and so so so woobified]
““Oof!” she groaned w/ a loud thud, Tea had rolled off her bed onto the floor. There was no difference from when Tea had her eyes shut and when she had her eyes open, it was darker than the pitchest of blacks. “Hrmm,” she groaned rubbing her eyes, she was still very sleepy. As her eyes slowly adjusted, she could see an extremely dim light barely visible to the human eye seeping through the cracks of the flap hung over the back entryway as a tacky, cheap cover. Tea pushed up against the side of her invisible bed to help her stand and from there she felt her way round the tiny room, pushed through the flimsy flap to the outside world which left her totally breathless.
It was beautiful, the sky was speckled w/ what seemed like a trillion stars. Tea had never seen so many stars in her life. Back in Domino City, the bright lights almost always left the nightscape completely starless. Now that she was out in the middle of nowhere there wasn’t a single light source to fade the sky and everything from up in the heavens shown through, and she could see to the edge of the universe. Then Tea saw a dark figure radiating a faint silvery lining. It was Seto, staring off into the unknown. Seto didn’t seem the type to enjoy something as simple yet precious as stars, but this didn’t surprise Tea. There had been enough hints of his fascination w/ the sky. From how he held his tournament on a blimp and a high up tower, to him simply peering out the window as they flew here. Even his favorite duel monster could fly far up into the atmosphere.
She walked over and stood next to him. They didn’t look at each other, they didn’t say anything, there was absolute quiet, but the quiet didn’t bother Tea this time. The 2 just stared off into the silvery-blue desert silently. There was a gentle breeze, a soft whirling sound pierced the air.
“Why are you up?” Seto finally said in a tender voice, his eyes still fixed up to the moonless starscape.
“hmm, oh, I fell off my bed,” Tea quietly replied, “and why are you still up? We found Mokuba and you’ve been awake for several days straight.”
“more like a month”
“A month? You haven’t been to sleep for a month? Is that even physically possible?”
“Unless you count me passing out, yes.”
“Why?” He didn’t say anything, he shut his eyes like he was trying to sleep standing up. Tea looked at him, he was so broken. “Seto? Erk- I mean Kaiba!” she shook her head trying to snap some common sense into herself, “Sorry, I’ve been hanging w/ Mokuba too much and I’m starting to talk like him.” Why do I keep calling Kaiba Seto? I-
“Tea, Seto’s my name,” he reopened his eyes slowly, “you’re suppost to call people by their name. I never got why you and your pals call me Kaiba.”
“Well that is your last name,” she pointed out to him.
“My adopted last name. The name of my evil, wicked stepfather. Don’t even have the company anymore.”
Seto’s stepfather, a topic his mind seemed hopelessly stuck on. It haunted him in ways no one else could ever really understand, as icy essence that would always linger in the back of his thoughts. He was a little boy, the forgotten boy lost in time, forever running from this tangled fear, forever trapped in this endless chase, too afraid to stop and be devoured by this monster locked inside his frigid heart. Too afraid to even look back.
“You really don’t like your past, do you?”
His eyes were hollow and lifeless. Seto slowly rocked his head back and forth, lost somewhere in a numbing trance.
“Was it really that bad for you? I mean if that creep hadn’t adopted you, you never would of…” Tea stopped herself. Since he no longer held the position of president for Kaiba Corp, all the good had been sucked away from his adoption.
“It depends whether you value youth or not. Guess I did. But I just have to put all that behind me.”
“You mean forget?”
“It’s nice for your little friends to spit at me for that, especially when they have no idea what it was like.”
“You’ll never forget trying to forget, because in trying to forget you’ll remember and it will always be there. Don’t try and forget, try and let go,” Tea explained. Seto remained stuck in his daze. “So do you not like being called Kaiba? Besides Mokuba, and me too I guess, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anybody call you by anything else.”
“It was alright when I owned Kaiba Corp, it was one of my accomplishments, earning that name. But now it shows my failure.”
“If it bothered you so much, why didn’t you tell us?”
“What ever.”
“Ah. Well anyway, why can’t you sleep?” she asked getting back to the point, returning the conversation’s personality back to quiet and mellow.
“I just can’t, I lost my company, I lost Mokuba,” he explained to her.
“Stressed out then?”
“I’m a failure, a throwaway…”
This was not the Seto Tea grew to know, before all this rained down on him, Seto was always going on how much more superior he was to the others, now he was ranting how much more worthless he was. “Oh come now, you’re not a failure. Your company was stolen, I know you don’t believe in magic, but it was some ancient magic power that did this. You’d only be a failure if it was actually your fault, and it’s not. You’re really smart and skilled, I’m sure you’ll eventually bounce back. We’ll fix this. You know what they say, when you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up.”
“And you fall right back down,” he grumbled.
Tea was not getting through to this guy, “What do you mean?”
“What do you care? This is only going to result in one of your long, annoying speeches like it always does.”
“It does not.”
“Oh yes it does. You don’t even know the half of it.”
“Tell you what, if I promise to not say a single thing will you tell me?” she coaxed trying to come to a compromise.
He hesitated, feeling Tea’s waiting gaze upon him. “Look at my life, it’s a disaster, it just goes up and down, up and down, it never stops.” Seto quivered a little as he spoke, “Everytime I think things are starting to look good, I plumbit back down. My and Mokuba’s parents died, our remaining relatives stole our inheritance and then just dumped us off at an orphanage and no one cared for us. I tricked a rich CEO into adopting us and I thought things might change, but he turned out to be a heartless, dictating snake, so I overthrew him and took control of his company. Things were okay for a while, and now this! I have nothing, everyone hates me! My life has been ripped to shreds!”
Tea looked at him, she had never heard Seto talk so openly. His eyes looked so sad. She had known a little about Seto’s rugged past, but for some reason hearing it made her finally understand Seto’s bitterness, his distrust for people. “Everyone does not hate you, what about Mokuba? He doesn’t hate you.”
“Yes he does. And I can’t blame him. I’m a horrible person…”
“He just wishes you’d be more light hearted, try having fun. I mean, why aren’t you ever happy? Try smiling every once in a while.”
“Yes, I should try smiling, who cares how I actually feel? I should just pretend to be happy and smile, even if I’m dead inside, cause as long as I’m smiling everything’s alright.”
Tea thought about that for a second. “Are you really always that unhappy?”
“Speech, Tea. This is turning into a speech.”
“Well I can’t help it, you’re ranting on about how tenuous a life you have, and maybe you’re right, but you’re afraid of your past, you’re afraid of your future, I strongly doubt you like your current position, what is it you want? What would have to happen to make you happy?”
He finally turned to look at her, his deep blue eyes reflecting the dazzling stars. Tea felt a bizzar pull to him, like some force was bringing them together, it was weirding her out. Just a week ago the thought of talking to Seto left a foul taste in her mouth, she had been beating herself up for dragging herself here w/ him. But not anymore, instead of talking at him, she was talking to him, she could see the world through his eyes, everything had changed.
“You promised you wouldn’t say anything,” he gently said.
“Sorry, I forgot,” she whispered back. The 2’s personalities were an absolute contrast, there was no chance of ever hitting common ground, Tea was a jovial, kind-hearted girl, Seto was a bitter, withdrawn boy who lost his place. Still, there was a strong connection between them as they gazed back up into the star-frosted heavens, absorbing it’s pale silver glow.”
That same night, Yugi, Yami, Joey, Tristan, and Mai arrive in Egypt.
In the morning, Seto gives Tea his shoes, and she, he, and Mokuba have a “day of fun” in the town since they don’t know how they’ll get home yet. Seto plays a casual duel with Tea as if it was a lesson. Seto and Mokuba go off together and leave her alone for a bit as well. Later, sitting and watching the sunset together, Seto finally falls asleep and he slumps gently against Tea.
Then Tea’s friends find them and it’s all bustle and explaining things. They decide they’ll make another attempt to re-capture the Millennium Items because this shit is dangerous. Seto leaves them. When Tea meets him later, he pulls out the Millennium Rod from under the bed and asks her why she didn’t tell her friends about it, and she tells him it’s his. He forces it into her hands but she holds it back out to him. Seto then places his hand over hers on the Rod and bends down to her but she stumbles back, saying she should be getting back to the others now, and he lets her go.
Tea, Yugi, Yami, and Mokuba go to the temple and approach the Scale on the stone together (apparently the sibling villains are really really incompetent at guarding it). Tea guesses that Yami is the chosen one and he steps forward, but something feels wrong and evil, and Mokuba begins to see things and is able to read the scripture on the walls. Tea tries to comfort him. Then the purple-haired woman confronts them. She tells the group it’s one of the Pharaoh’s rivals who can pick up the Scale, and Mokuba feels confused as he hears this. She gives them the Ring as a peace offering. She offers to return the Millennium Necklace to them if they would be so kind as to bring Seto Kaiba to her to activate the Scale.
Tea and Yami aren’t sure what to do next, but as they leave with the Ring they find Seto standing outside the temple. As it should turn out, some kind of hallucinatory vision had carried him along with them and he’s just as confused as they are. They tell him about the situation. Mokuba, knowing he’s the only one who can remove the Scale and wanting to put an end to all this, tells Seto to try it. Seto does and is able to lift it with ease, and Mokuba is shocked. (The idea is Mokuba’s nudge was enough to free it, but he didn’t realize that.) The purple-haired woman is ecstatic, reveals that there’s dark magic inside the Item, and she challenges Seto to a duel to claim the Item’s powers. The youngest sister goes to Mokuba’s side. The woman and Seto duel, everyone watching, and Seto wins.
And so Yugi, Yami, Seto, Mokuba, and Tea leave with all the Items in their possession, but Yami and Tea are very concerned. They return to the others, and Mokuba is disturbed as things are explained and considered.
Here’s another excerpt:
[from pages 305 to 316; bad bad bad and overwritten and woobified again, now with terrible melodrama]
“Seto leaned over the sink in the inn’s bathroom. It’s edges were lined with scuz and sludge ringed the foucet, it’s handle was very loose. There was a shower, but it didn’t work. Washing his hair in the sink had grown used to him. He had done it back when he and his brother were living in that broken down apartment of deferred dreams and causes, and at the airport in London while waiting for his and Tea’s plane to arrive, but being without soap he couldn’t get it too clean. He wished the water was colder.
“Seto, are you OK?” Mokuba asked him standing in the restroom’s doorway.
He didn’t look up, “Why?” he said through the dribbling sound of running water.
“Because the girl you decided to f-“
“Mokuba, please.”
“Sorry,” his eyes shifted to the millinium scale that had carelessly been laid on the floor, “Heads up, Joey and Tristan might try to steal that from you.”
“Steal what?”
“The millinium scale, for some reason they seem to think it’ll make you go crazy or something.”
“Idiots. And let me guess, Tea-“
“Did nothing. Talk to her already, or do you want me to do it for you?”
Seto finally pulled his head out from under the grummy, near-broken sink. “Mokuba, you’re not helping,” he said as he squeezed the water out of his tangled hair with his fingers. Then he picked the polished scale off the floor. “See, this is why I don’t make friends,” he grumbled, “I knew this would happen.”
“Seto, you can’t just give up, that’s so unlike you.”
“She’s made her choice, let it be.” He walked out of the restroom, his hair damp and spirit low, “I have nothing, I don’t deserve her care.”
Mokuba stared blinklessly at his brother a bit horrified at what he was saying. Seto walked away and disappeared down the sliver of a hallway.
Hours were swept away never to be retrieve or re-lived again. The brief sandstorm had passed away a short while after noon broke, and the gang would of probably started to head to a city and airport so they could set their sights on home, but w/ this idea an ugly problem showed it’s face. Not even half of them could fit into that pathetic car to transport them anywhere, so for the moment they were stuck.
“OK, here’s my plan,” Tristan announced.
“If it involves leaving Seto and I stranded here…”
“First off, no it doesn’t,” he replied to Mokuba. Everyone was sitting outside in a ring formation, discussing ideas and ways to tackle this issue, everyone except Seto. He was off leaning against the side of a building feeling feverish and soaking in his aloofness. “Tea, did you ever get your cell phone back?” Tristan continued on.
“Umm,” Tea reached into the shallow pocket of her brilliant apple red skirt with grey, yellow, and forest green cross hatching, “yeah, why?” she said as she felt it’s hard, plastic surface.
“Cause we can call someone up then to come and pick us up or drop off another car or something.”
“And who do you propose we call Tristan?” Mai said.
“I dunno, anyone.”
“Yo, Kaiba! Do you have any ideas?” Joey yelled over at Seto, who was nodding off, “Hey, wake up! It’s not night time yet!”
“You always have to find some way to make a nussence of yourself Wheeler, don’t you?” he said, “figure something out for yourself for once.” Seto pushed off the building and walked away wishing not to be bothered anymore.
“Fine! We don’t need your help!” Joey barked at him as he left.
Tea watched as he turned into the building. “Ahh, I have to go to the bathroom.” She hopped to her feet and followed Seto’s footprints that he left in the pale, colorless sand. Mokuba crossed his fingers.
Unaware of the fact Tea had followed him, Seto let himself fall limp onto one of the beds, his worn out body, as weak and tired as it was, had reached it’s limit. How he could stay as perky as he’s been he’d never figure out. He heard someone else enter the room. “Tea?” his heart lifted a bit.
“Um, yeah, Kaiba, where’d you put the millinium rod? Cause the thing of it is-“
*Clank* Seto had quickly pulled it out from under the bed and threw it bitterly against the wall. The loud sound it made as it clashed against the wall made Tea flinch, she hadn’t expected him to throw it. He didn’t throw it at her, in fact he had thrown it at the opposite end of the room from which she stood, sending a strong message.
“Take it,” he spat.
She glared at him for a second, then moved over to pick it up. Right now she didn’t know how the rod’s magic might affect Seto, and it was Yugi’s. It was wrong for her to have handed it over to him to begin w/.
“Tea?” Seto said, his voice had calmed down and now came off as tender.
But Tea ignored him and went back outside. The second she passed through the cloth flap though she stopped and looked down into the millinium rod held in her grasp. What had she just done? Part of her wanted to run back immediately into the room and return it to him. No, she couldn’t do that, what was wrong w/ her? She wished it would just disappear right out of her hand.
“Tea? You took it back?”
Tea shot her head up. There Mokuba stood before her, his glassy, oversized eyes reflecting the deep navy sky painted over w/ pale pink clouds.
“Huh, oh, well it’s Yugi’s,” she said.
“You’re taking it back because you’re afraid he’s evil aren’t you?”
“No, it wasn’t mine to give away to begin with. I’m taking it back because it’s my friend’s,” she told him.
“Seto is your friend!” he cried.
“Um,” Tea became figety and nervous, she squeezed the millinium rod so hard her knuckles turned white, “I have to go, they’re expecting me back you know.” She brushed past him and headed back to Mai, Joey, Tristan, Yami, and Yugi.
Mokuba clamped his teeth hard together. He couldn’t just let it be, this was wrong. “Why are you ignoring Seto?!” he angrily yelled at her.
Tea didn’t even get 6 feet away. She stopped and turned back to look at him, “Mokuba?” she weakly muttered.
“How could you just of forgotten this past couple days?” Mokuba had so many things worrying him, so many thing picking at his stability, but he thought he could finally stop worrying about his brother being friendless. He wasn’t about to let Tea piss it all way. “He opened up to you, doesn’t that mean anything? I’ve never seen him open up to anyone before until now. Why have you just thrown it all away?” He looked at her, hungry for her reply.
“I- Mokuba. It’s really complicated and we just don’t know. I’m sorry my friends don’t trust him right now. My friends and I have been through so much together, I can’t just abandon them,” she explained.
“So you abandoned Seto?!”
She didn’t know what to say. Mokuba was exactly right. “Look, this is really hard for me-“
“-Not as hard as it is for him.” Mokuba cut in, his voice grew serious and low, “No one has ever cared for us before like this, until you. Even when Seto pushed you away, you still stuck by him. And it meant something to him, it really did.”
“Mokuba, what am I suppost it do?! My friends mean more than anything to me and they’re concerned,” she cried, “And I mean more than anything to them. Our friendship is forever.”
“Your friendship with him could be forever too…”
“I’m sorry Mokuba, I just can’t.” She slowly turned back around, staring empty into the ground. But before she could head off anywhere, Mokuba said one last thing that caused her to freeze up.
“He loves you!”
Tea quickly jerked her head back around, “Love? That’s an awfully strong word.”
“Well he does.”
“Mokuba, don’t take this the wrong way, but your brother doesn’t seem the type to fall in love,” she told him.
“I know, and that’s what’s so cool about it. I never thought Seto could grow so attached to someone, but he did, and it’s you!” Mokuba looked pained, she could see he was telling the truth. “He loves you, he told me! It was yesterday, when we went off for a walk…”
-- “Seto,” he said snapping his pendant shut, “I have a question. It’s about you and Tea.”
“What about me and Tea?” he lazily replied snapping his pendant shut as well.
“Are you guys like friends or something? I mean I’ve never seen you like this before,” Mokuba asked.
Seto had his eyes fixed over the sands of the desert as they bathed in the deep orange rays of the sun, “Yeah, well, no one’s ever cared for me like this before,” he replied in a tone that Mokuba never quite heard his brother use before.
“I care,” he said.
“Not like this, this is this is different…” his voice was so soft.
“Oh my gosh,” it hit Mokuba, his later bloomer brother was finally, “You lo-“
“Weird, isn’t it?”
“I never thought I’d see the day where Seto Kaiba falls in love,” he said joyously, “Tell her!”
“Mokuba, we’re going to have to go back to reality eventually. You’ll be placed in foster care, who knows where I’ll be, and once Tea meets her little friends again, she’ll forget about us,” he cooly explained.
“No, Tea wouldn’t do that!” Mokuba argued, “Tell her!”
Seto let out a weak sigh, “We’ll see…” he said, shutting his eyes slowly. --
“… And he was right!” Mokuba cried, “The second your stupid friends showed up you forgot about us!”
“… Seto loves me?” Tea slowly mumbled as if in a dream, and to be honest, not all too surprised to be informed of this.
“Yes, or at least he did. But then you started ignoring him,” he said calmly, “Tea, I understand that you would care much more for your old friends than you would ever for Seto, but you mean so much to him. Very few people have ever gotten to his heart, in fact there’s only 2, me and you. But once you’re there, trust me on this, you’re never coming out. You know, I always knew eventually down the road you’d be forced into choosing, but I thought it’d be Seto’s doing, not your friends, what does that tell you about them?”
“Mokuba, it’s not like that!”
“Are they really your real friends?”
“You know how close we are, of course they are!” she growled disgusted.
Mokuba paused, he paused for a long while, staring longlingly into her eyes. And then he walked away, off towards the rising silver sliver of a moon.
Tea watched him as he shrank away into nothing, she was alone now, left to think over everything that had just been told. The millinium rod was a retreat, for her to compare the Kaiba she once knew to the Seto she now knows. Tea stared into the gold for several minutes, studying the warped reflections. Her decision was made as she remembered she was wearing Seto’s shoes. He had been walking around bare foot this whole time.
The sun was swallowed up by the earth, a few white speckles had been sprayed into the deep heavens. The clouds that hung in the sky had transformed into a brass color, it was pretty.
“Where the heck is Tea?!” Joey grouched.
“Calm down Joey, girls always take a long time in the bathroom.”
“Hey!” Mai spat at Tristan, who snickered.
“She’s probably off talking to that brat Kaiba again. What the heck is going on with them?” Joey grunted.
Yami? It was Yugi, his spiritual essence hovered around Yami like a mist.
Yes Yugi? All their talking was done telepathically, both being souls trapped in the same body.
Don’t you think it’s kind of mean to assume Kaiba might go crazy from the millinium scale? Yugi had been neutral since the start of all this, in fact the truth was he was rooting for Seto. And Yami had been neutral too up until this morning, but something changed.
These items are dangerous. We have to protect Kaiba and Tea too. Yami replied.
Who do you think you’re kidding? This isn’t about us and Tea, this is about you and Tea. Ever since we saw them watching the sunset you’ve been weird. I can see your thoughts. I think you’re jealous.
Jealous?
Can you admit it or not? Talk to her.
I can’t.
Why not?
Yugi, I live inside a piece of jewelry, just a spirit who takes temporary control over your body. I’m not even sure how long I’ll be here…
What will it hurt? Hey, you 2 have been through so much together, how could she reject you? If it calms you down, I’m for it.
Different parts of Tea’s head pulled her different ways. Eventually Seto had come out of the room. If he had seen her, he gave no acknowledgement. Up against the grit wall, Tea just observed him for a minute. Once again she found him staring up into the sky speckled w/ silver. She walked up silently to him.
“Seto?” she barely murmured. He didn’t look back at her. “Seto?” she repeated, a little louder this time.
“So you’re calling me Seto again?” he finally said, his voice cold and dead.
“Well that is your name,” she playfully replied, but it was obvious Seto was in no such mood.
“I’m not sure I want you calling me by that anymore.”
She held out the millinium rod to Seto, despite the fact he wasn’t facing her, “Here, take it,” she insisted, “I didn’t give it back to Yugi. You don’t take back a gift.”
Seto stood stiff, still staring into the sky’s great vastness. Everything became a shade of blue as the stars and moon cast majestic silver shadows over the earth.
“Mokuba said you loved me.”
“Did he?”
“You’re not angry at him, are you?”
“Why would I be angry at him?”
“Because he either lied to me or spilled out your secret.”
Seto finally spun around to her, “Is it really that big of a secret?”
Tea looked away, “… no.” She already knew, ever since she first cheered for him when he dueled against Mai, she felt something changed. That was the turning point. She looked back over at him, “Seto, I’m sorry. It’s just- my friends just appeared out of nowhere, and you guys kept fighting over nothing, and they got worried about these stupid items and prophecies, and I didn’t know. We’ve been through so much, but th-“
“Tea, stop talking.” Seto took 2 steps towards her. She found herself staring into his eyes. She had never noticed before how they changed color. Sometimes they looked turquoise, other times they were almost lavender, now they were very distant and dark. Hope lived in them again.
And that left her to think about yesterday, when they almost- If her friends hadn’t suddenly shown up, would she have gone through w/ kissing him? The more she thought about if she’d have done it, the more she saw herself doing it.
He was so close to her, it should have been uncomfortable, but it wasn’t, it really wasn’t.
Are you sure about this? Yami asked Yugi.
What are you afraid of?
They were slowly traveling over to where Tea had vanished off to. Yugi and Yami at this point had figured that, being gone for as long as she was, Tea had gone off to Seto. But they were OK w/ this. Yami just wanted to get the facts known and get the facts out there. What was Yami so nervous over? It’s not like Seto had any romantic interest in Tea…
Yami froze, and from a distance watched the lip-locked couple numbly. Yugi was in shock as well.
… that’s… interesting…”
I know there are about 35 more pages to the story, but it’s at this point when it begins to fizzle out. It’s more that it takes that many pages for the story’s thrust to finally die.
I wrote this story during a dark place in my life and it became a kind of oasis for me. I felt alone and full of anger and self-loathing, but when I was writing, those feelings dimmed and it was like I could breathe for a moment.
I’m sorry to anybody whose time I wasted with this nonsense, but this was once something very meaningful to me. That’s all.

Warnings: morning sex
I grabbed a hold of Yugyeom’s hand as fast as I could. He lifted me into his arms and carried me out of the house bridal style. I nuzzled into his chest and clutched my arms around his shoulders. I closed my eyes and waited for the horrible heavy footsteps to stop following us.
The seven boys paused and Yugeom let me back down to the ground. I jumped at the sound of the piercing scream. Yugyeom lowered his head to look at me.
“Are you alright? are you hurt?” I looked him in the eye and shook my head shyly. I wasn’t hurt, but I definitely wasn’t alright. He placed his arm around my shoulder and walked me to the car with the rest of the group. We all loaded into JB’s car and drove home.
The entire ride back was silent, except for a soft melody coming from the radio. I let out a yawn and started to doze off. I felt so exhausted after such a scare. I tried to keep my head up but failed. I was half asleep when I felt a gentle hand lift my chin, bringing my head up to rest on a broad shoulder. I knew it had to be Yugyeom. In my sleepy daze,
I snuck my hand next to his and slowly laced my fingers between his. The car came to a slow stop as each boy got out until Yugyeom and I was the only ones in the back seat. JB turned around and looked at us. He let out a sigh and exchanged a quick glance with Yugyeom.
“Yeah. Might as well.” JB whispered.
He turned the car off and opened the door. Yugeom reached over and unbuckled my seat belt. I tried my hardest not to move a single muscle. He opened the door and got out before reaching for me and pulling me into his arms. I shivered at the chilled wind gusting. Yugyeom just held me closer and walked me to the front of their dorm. JB unlocked the door and gestured for everyone to go ahead in.
“Wait, Lady first,” Jackson said referring to me. Yugyeom gingerly walked into the dorm and carried me to his room I finally opened my eyes and looked around.
“What’s happening?” I asked.
“It’s alright, y/n. You can just stay the night here since you’re tired.” He placed me on his bed and started to walk out of the room.
“Where are you gonna sleep?” I asked. He just turned to me and said, “ I’ll just sleep on the couch. You’re the guest.”
“That’s not fair to you. Come on. I don’t mind.” I said patting the spot next to me. He smiled and agreed. I watched him walk over to his closet and pull out two pairs of sweatpants and a black t-shirt. He handed me one pair of pants and the t-shirt.
“Here’s some PJs.” He offered I gladly accepted and he left the room to turn the rest of the lights off in the door and to give me privacy. I changed into his clothes and adjusted the waistband on the sweat pants to they would fit me properly. I eased into the pillows and started to feel overcome with exhaustion again. Yugyeom came back in with his pajamas on and crawled under the blankets with me.
His warmth coaxed me into a deep sleep. I couldn’t stop picturing him in my dreams. The way he stood right be bind me at the haunted house. The way I feel weightless in his arms. The way his mouth shapes into a sweet, contagious smile. The constant desire to taste his full pink lips.
By the time morning came, I slowly woke up and took a small peek around the room, remembering I was in the boys’ dorm. I stretched out, pushing my hips back. I stopped them I felt Yugyeom’s front. I turned over to see him sound asleep.
He’s like an angel. I lifted my hand to brush down a few fly away hairs. My fingers grazed his soft cheek and trailed down his neck. He shifted and started to wake up. His big, brown eyes opened and I smiled at him.
“Hi,” I whispered. His hand came up to hold mine. He didn’t say anything. He just looked at me with a pleased expression. He pulled me closer without breaking eye contact.
“I’ve thought of this moment over and over in my head, but I never thought it would actually happen.” His hand stayed firmly on my hip, rubbing circles over my skin. I gave him a small smile and just went for it.
I leaned toward him and kissed his lips. I could tell he was taken by surprise, but he quickly kissed me back and rolled over so he was on top of me. I swung both arms around his shoulders and ran my fingers through his hair.
His lips are so soft. I tilted my head to one side to deepen the kiss. I could feel his abdomen flex on top of me. I hooked one leg over and around his hip. He pressed another kiss to the corner of my mouth before trailing down my jaw. I let out a small moan when he kissed my sweet spot, but he wasn’t done. He started to suck and nibble on the area, holding me close to his warm body.
“Mmm.” I moaned. “I want you Yugy.”
He looked up at me with a seductive stare. His hand slipped down between us and pulled my bottoms off. He stopped when he felt by bare skin. He checked down as I smirked at him. I may or may not have just skipped out on wearing panties last night. He pressed his finger against my exposed clit, making me shiver. His head nuzzled into my neck. Even in the most intimate of moments, he still finds a way to be adorable.
I gripped a hold of the hem of his shirt, before pulling it up over his head. He took a breath before sliding his pants down and riding his underwear. His erection was rock hard already. I brushed my hand against his cheek. He held onto it a kissed my palm. He let go and hovered over me, pushing himself in slowly.
My tight walls stretched around him, taking his length inch by inch. I winced as a sharp pain started to take over. His lips returned to my neck, kissing away the pain. The pleasure from his lips on my sweet spot, balanced out with his thick cock plunging into me. I just laid back until he looked at me for permission to start moving.
I just nodded and combed my fingers through the short hairs on the back of his head. He slid out of my wet heat and waited a few seconds before diving back in. I relaxed into the sheets and adjusted my position so he could get better access. He started with small strokes, his breath getting heavier. My eyes went wide when I started to feel the glorious friction. He moved faster, knowing I was ready for it.
“More,” I said quietly. I just knew the other boys were only a whisper away from hearing us. He tucked his face into the pillows and groans as he continued to move in and out of my tightness. His hands held my hips down and he lifted his head up to look at me. He quickened his movements and jerked forward as his climax started to build.
My stomach started to tighten, my arms and legs flexed. Yugyeom lifted my legs and started to thrust harder, hitting my spot over and over again. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t hold back this feeling. I let my orgasm erupt through my body. Feeling him ride me through my high. He came back down for a kiss when I almost let a loud moan slip. He pulled the covers over us so no one could hear the sound of your skin slapping. I arched my back and held him close.
I moaned into his mouth, letting his tongue have full access. I bounced with every quickened thrust. There was something different about my climax. It was like I never had one before. I loved every touch, kiss, thrust, all of it. It was the most intoxicating moment I’ve ever had in bed.
We started to feel our orgasms drain from our veins, out heartbeats started to slow down into a steady rhythm. He rolled over onto his side of the bed, letting out a deep sigh.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been holding that back.” He said, still amazed that we just had sex. I lifted my head up, turning over to look at him.
“I think I may have an estimate.” He held my arm and pulled me closer so I was halfway on top of him.
“I really do like you though. I want to know where this takes us.” He confessed. All I could do is smile at his reddening face. He ducked his head, starting to get shy again. I just grabbed his face and kissed him.
“So you’re in ‘like’ with me?” I asked, giving him a small taunt. He held my bare waist, staring at me only wearing one of his t-shirts.
“No. I think I’m in love with you.” He said with a serious tone. His new found confidence surprise me. I liked that.
“I’m in love with you too, Yugy,” I said with one more kiss. I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard three loud knocks on the door.
“Yugyeom-ah! Get up. We have practice in 45 minutes!” JB was clearly i a rush to get the rest of the boys up, otherwise, he would have just barged in and gotten him out of bed himself. We looked at each other and decided to just give in.
“Did you want to come with?” Yugyeom offered.
“Sure. I’m not busy today.” I replied, grabbing my abandoned underwear. Yugeom quickly gets dressed and opened the door when we were both decent enough to be seen.
“The bathroom is down the hall to the left if you need a shower. I’ll Let JB know you’re joining us.” He informed me. I nodded and grabbed another one of his t-shirts. I walked down to the bathroom and realized, I can finally wear a ‘boyfriend’ look and actually have a boyfriend!
“Thank God for that haunted house...”

Ygo fic-a-thon day 6
I've got a baking fic for you all today! Ok, maybe not exactly baking, but Atem's doing that in the back ground. The premise of this fic is Yami & Yugi have been fighting a lot recently. Atem has kicked them out after most recent one. The pairing be the mobium.
----------
Atem cries as he stirred the cookie dough in the glass bowl cradled in his arms. Khonsu, his 10 year old son, tried to calm the screaming wail of his sister. Khepri screamed her heart out, using every bit of power her 2 year old lungs could use. His tears were from listening to his husbands fight again. He'd had enough & had kicked them both out for the night. Yami had gone to his parent's house, & Yugi had headed for his grandfather's game shop.
Salty tears fell into the dough, but he could not find it in himself to care. He stirred the tough dough, mixing the chocolate chips into the batter. He couldn't help it. Anzu had taught him how to bake things, & he had taken to baking as a stress relief. Khonsu's violet eyes watched his daddy worriedly. He was old enough to understand things his fathers didn't want him knowing. He knew Papa & Dad weren't getting along recently.
It wasn't fair that Daddy had to be in the middle of it. He should never have to cry. The 10 year old didn't like his other parents at the moment. He frowned as he finally managed to hush Khepri's cries. Khonsu lifted her out of her high chair. She was getting sleepy again; ready to go back the bed.
"Daddy, I'm going to take Khepri back to bed. Can I stay up with you?" Atem sniffles before he turned around. He smiled for his babies.
"Of course, Little Moon. Thank you. I appreciate the help, Baby." His smile faded as Khonsu helped Khepri toddle down the hallway to the small staircase to their rooms. His phone vibrated in the back pocket of his pants. He slid it put, seeing Yugi's face on the screen. He ignored the call, setting his phone down in favor of searching for a smaller spoon. The phone vibrated again, but Yami's face was on the screen.
"Daddy, why aren't you answering your phone?"
"I don't want to talk to Dad & Papa. Do you want to talk to them?" Khonsu shook his head. "Do you want to get the cookie sheet out for me?" The boy grinned as he rummaged around in the pan cabinet. He grabbed the metal sheet, pitting it on the table for his father. Atem rubbed at a few stray tears with one hand as he ruffled the boy's black hair. His phone dinged with a text. He sighed. "Go let Dad & Papa in."
"Ok. Daddy, why are you letting them back in? Didn't you tell them to get out?"
"I did, but I wasn't raised to be so curel as to leave my husbands in the cold & the snow. They're not getting any cookies though. For them, that'll be as bad as letting them freeze on the porch. Go to bed after?"
"Ok, Daddy." Khonsu went to the back door, opening it. A cold blast of air greeted him along with his other fathers. He glared at them as they tromped in from the snow. Yami lifted an eyebrow as he looked at his son. Yugi frowned at the glare. "You made Daddy cry. No cookies for you." He said before skipping off.
"Atem, we're sorry. Yami & I managed to calm down & talk. Oh, Koibito, we messed up." Yugi slid into the chair beside Atem. Yami took a seat in the other side.
"Beautiful, we are so sorry. We have hurt you & the children. I do not even remember what I was so mad at Treasure for. We want to take some time, reconnect with each other & our children. I suggested we have some alone first, then spend time with our children. We didn't want to finalize anything without your input."
"That sounds wonderful, but first you're both eating these cookies. Every. Single. One. I used my best ingredients, & added flavoring with my tears. You are both eating these. Atem rose to our the filled tray into the oven. All three heard giggling from the hallway. "Khonsu, I told you to go to bed."
"Yes, Daddy!" Yami & Yugi gulped. They knew that time. They both wouldn't be going to work in the morning. Atem would have them moaning in pain from the rich cookies. It was the best way to teach them a lesson.

((Um, Sick Yugi x Tea, a bad cold, and please see Season 0 for reference. That's the only season where Yugi is ill. Please.))
Sorry that this took me so long! I hope that you had a wonderful birthday! This is set during battle city, with a slight canon divergence after Yugi’s duel against Bakura. Also, since I recently watched season 0, I’m using Anzu instead of Teá for her name. I hope that you like it!
“You didn’t have to stay here with me, you know,” Yugi points out. His voice is a hoarse shadow of its usual self. “You should be watching Joey duel.”
Anzu scoffs. “After you almost collapsed after your match with Bakura? No way, someone has to keep an eye on you. Now drink some of this water,” she commands, passing him a bottle.
Yugi takes it obediently, unscrewing the top-Anzu had already opened it for him. The stress of the past couple weeks, plus his near-drowning earlier today had taken their toll on him. He’d been sniffling and sneezing for a couple days, but the shock of the cold water had turned it into a full-blown cold. The chilly winds on top of the blimp hadn’t helped, either. He’d been swaying on his feet at the end of the match; if Joey and Tristan hadn’t helped him, he would have fallen over. But he’d needed to see if Bakura was okay.
Speaking of Bakura … “The doctor is with him right now,” Anzu replies, watching Yugi like a mother bird watches her baby as he gulps down the water. “I’ll go and see him when the doctor is finished, okay? I promise that we won’t leave him alone. But worrying about him right now won’t help. You need to focus on getting better.”
Yugi smiles at the reassurance-he’d been so worried about Bakura before and during the duel, and so torn about what to do. If the other Bakura hadn’t intervened, Yugi isn’t sure what he would have done. Fortunately, it looked like his friend was going to be okay.
“At least I can rest until the finals,” Yugi says, trying to reassure Anzu that he’ll be fine. She looks so worried; he hates seeing her like this. “You really should go watch Joey duel.”
“And come back to you passed out on the floor because you were practicing dueling strategies? I don’t think so,” she dismisses the thought out of hand, her hands on her hips. Her face softens slightly. “That is amazing that you’re going to the finals, though, Yugi. I knew you could do it!” She reaches over to ruffle his hair. The gesture is supposed to be soothing, but Yugi finds himself blushing at her proximity.
“Yeah,” Yugi smiles at the thought. “I wish I could call grandpa and tell him, but he’s probably asleep by now.”
“You can tell him in the morning,” Anzu suggests. Her hand hasn’t left his head-she’s brushing his hair back in slow, repetitive motions. Yugi finds his eyes growing heavy despite himself.
“Do you think we can do it? Win the Battle City tournament?” Yugi asks, his voice small and slurred with sleepiness.
“I know you can,” Anzu says firmly. “I’ve always believed in you.” Those are the last words Yugi hears before he falls asleep with a slight smile on his face.
“So stubborn,” Anzu mutters, shaking her head. “I knew you were tired.” She plants a kiss on Yugi’s forehead, before getting up to go and see how Bakura is doing. She knows that that’s the first thing Yugi will ask about when he wakes up. “Sleep well, Yugi."
