This weekend, my lovely Piggy (7yo guinea pig) passed away. She had signs of aging, yes, but her health took a turn for the worse overnight and I'm not sure if there was anything else I could do. She passed in my arms while I was calling the vet for an emergency appointment. Words cannot describe how much I love and miss her.

Originally my sister's first pet, Piggy moved in with me when I moved out on my own. She was extremely docile, and loved to be pet and held (even coming up the the cage bars for scritches). She would sit and stay wherever you placed her, not out of fear but content. Her unique wheek could be hear the moment you unlocked the apartment door. Piggy was loved by everyone in the family, especially my grandma who would always save vegetable leftovers for her and the rest of my girls. Piggy went by many names: Penelope, Soccerball, Skunk; but she would respond to the sound of my voice when I called for her.

I hope that despite her sudden passing, that she was able to live her piggy life to the fullest. She is surpassed by her cagemates/sisters Ginny (2yo) and Magnet (1yo).

Kayden was looking out the window as the rain was hitting the ground. he sighed and turned towards his parents.

"Not fair! Why is it raining in summer?! I wanted to go play outside today!" He frowned as he crossed his arms.

Pidge smiled at this, he looked so much like his father, but with her eyes... She sat on the couch next to her husband and her two other Kids-Anaïs and Thomas- That were both watching TV...

"Rainy days aren't that bad! Plus, they are pretty rare in summer... I think it's nice to have a refreshing wind from time to time."

"But I hate rain..." Kayden pouted as he sat with his family.

"What's the matter with rain?" Keith joined the talk. He was brading Anaïs' haires while she watched TV.

"Rain is annoying because we can't go outside... There is nothing funny to do out here! And I hate the sound of thunders..."

Pidge gently stroked her soon's hair.

"Honey, there are so many great stuffs to do on summer days!"

"Like what?" The young boy raised an eyebrow.

"Mhhh... Like a video game day, board games, movie day... sleep! Plus, I really think the sound of the rain is relaxing."

At her mother's words, Anaïs raised her head. "Movie day? that sound so cool! can we do one, mama?"

"Well, if everyone is ok with it, why not?" Pidge smiled to her family.

Keith and Anaïs nodded in agreement. As for the little Thomas He was only two years old and wasn't getting every thing that was happening, but he understood that he'll get to snuggle against his mother or his father if he agreed so it was fine to him, He yelled for the affirmative.

Everyone turned towards Kayden, waiting for an answere from him.

He sighed and smiled, "Fine..."

"YAY! I'll go get some snacks for us! the ones that uncle Hunk taught me to do! Mamma! will you help me?" Anaïs jumped off her sit.

"Fine, let's do that!"

Pidge turned toward keith that was sat next to her. He was holding on her hip tokeep her close. They shared a quick glance before to share a quick kiss. After a confortable silence, Keith spoke:

"I'll get us some blankets, then"

He left a kiss on her temple before to get up. Pidge followed and took Thomas in her arms. "Alright! let's do this!"

After getting everything ready, They all setteled in the couch an picked a movie. It was so nice, to cuddle in a summer rainy day.

At the end of the movie, Pidge and Keith noticed that two of their kids (the two youngests) had fallen asleep in their arms. The only one that remained awake was Kayden.

Pidge looked down at her son. "So, are rainy days as bad as you thought they were?"

Kayden smuggled closer to his mother, "I guess you were right, like always, mom."

Snowshadow and Misty both had their litters, but Oaksun is conused on why one kit doesnt look like any of them. Bluestar, Nighteyes, Berrystar, Twistedbriar, Moonpaw, Snailpaw, and Jay's eye have a ll been killed in a horrible rainstorm. Before he died, Bluestar told Oaksun that he wanted him to become the leader. Leafclaw decided to not argue about it, and Oaksun gained his 9 lives. Oakstar choose Leafclaw as the deputy. Dewfur gained his 9 lives as well. Bee decided to retire to the elder's den, and Hawk Song was chosen as the new deputy. Smokeclaw brought in a mysterious kit, and he won't say where he found it. She was named Lilackit. Hawk Song discovered a washed-up litter of kits by the two-leg nests and took them to Hollowclan. 3 of the kits died, but 2 survived. Firewhisker announced her pregnancy, along with Dappledbush and Leafclaw.

13yo - Death of WWX.

14yo - Jin Guangshan send for him to come to Jinlintai and learn cultivation. There he becomes close with his older half-brother Jin Guangyao. MXY turns out to only have low cultivation skills, however, he seems to have a bit of a talent for demonic cultivation.

15yo - Death of Jin Guangshan.

16yo - Gets kicked out of Jinlintai. Said to have behaved inappropriately against Jin Guangyao, but he had not. In reality, he found out things about his brother that shook him to his core. He also ends up being cursed by him and starts seeing things other cannot. Once back in Mo Manor, his mental and physical health rapidly declines due to abuse, the curse and malnutrition. The abuse he receives from his family is both verbal and physical as well as being locked inside his own chambers. There he's left without the ability to properly clean himself or even have water to drink. The door is rarely opened, except a small slat at the bottom for food and the windows are boarded shut. Food, always cold left-overs, is only given to him once a day, in the morning. Though it's regularly forgotten as well.

well since we have been home from school it's been nonstop chaos with the yelling and running around because out of nowhere, they have sooooo much energy. Guess they missed each other....

I don't know why I'm so irritable today.... because it's been a month since my husband has left for training and being alone is getting to me or I need to go out and do something...... I don't know. I gave myself some space from the kids and let them play in their room so I can be alone for 5 mins... needed a breather...

I did not know the Kamino cloning chambers were called hatcheries??!! That is the cutest damn thing I ever heard! It’s like they’re little chicks breaking out of their shells crying for food. little hatchlings. I can’t handle this level of cute.

But like who looks after the vod’ika hatchlings? I guess probably the Kaminoan technicians who hatch them, but I like to think it’s their ori’vod. I adore the idea that the first contact they have is when a brother wraps a blanket around them and holds them close, maybe feeding them a highly nutritious milk substitute or singing them a lullaby.

Like once a cadet is old enough to hold and feed a hatchling then they get put on hatchery duty, and no matter what position they rise to (Commander, Captain, ARC trooper) whenever they’re on Kamino they get put on hatchery duty.

I can just see seasoned troopers walking around giving briefing reports with a hatchling tucked up in their arms, or running drills with a hatchling tied securely to their back, or changing diapers on their kama because this hatchling is stinky and screaming and they’re in the docking bay … I can imagine that officer just raising an eyebrow and shaking their head when the second the diaper is off vod’ika pees all over their kama. Imagine if this happened to Rex and he’s just resigned to the fact now that whenever he’s on Kamino he’s going to get peed on.

It hardly ever happens that troopers need to be on official duty when they’re looking after a vod’ika, but in some cases senior officers do need to conference with their Jedi … so when Rex walks into the room with a hatchling in his arms, both Anakin and Ahsoka are surprised.

“Is that your baby, Rex?”

“No, Commander. Technically, he’s your baby. He’s a brother.”

Ahsoka would just lose her s**t over how adorable the hatchling is.

“You were a very cute baby, Rex.”

“Thank you, Commander.”

And they have to do the conference with a hatchling suckling on Rex’s finger and Ahsoka cooing and making ridiculous faces at the hatchling.

Anakin just finishes the conference with a: “Leave the baby at home when you rejoin us, Rex. I don’t think I can put up with much more of this from Ahsoka.”

I love the thought of the next time Ahsoka’s on Kamino she goes straight to the hatchery and is like: “I hear you’re handing out babies.” and then she spends the whole time looking after this hatchling like: I’ve only known him a day but if anything happens to him, I’ll kill everyone in this room and then myself. And she calls him blue, because “when you’re old enough little one, you’ll be in the 501st. Yes, you will.” And Rex is just there in the background shaking his head and pitying this poor brother who’s been adopted by Ahsoka.

I don’t know how fast a clone ages but maybe something like:
