something i absolutely adore about anhane in the main story is how they're kind of both the first one to acknowledge the other for *who they are*. vivid street consistently waters down an to being ken shiraishi's daughter instead of viewing her as her own person — sure, they care about her, but that doesn't stop the fact that half of the time when they talk about her, it's "ken shiraishi's daughter". kohane, though? she knew nothing about RADder or RAD WEEKEND, she was impressed with An over her actual abilities — not because of who she's related to.

and even if an ends up unintentionally holding her back in singing in sync, she is the first one to recognize kohane's talent and potential — she's the one who grabbed kohane and gave her a dream to focus on because she believed in her, even when others (like akito) told her it was stupid.

Persuasion by Jane Austen

Persuasion, published in 1817, is Jane Austen's last completed novel. It follows Anne Elliot, the only sensible daughter of a vain and foolish baronet, as she is given a second chance at love with the naval officer Captain Frederick Wentworth after spurning him and breaking their engagement seven years before.

Another set of fraternal twin binds! One of these is a gift, the other is for my own shelf. I'd say the biggest takeaway from this particular bind was, "Just because you can cut something on your vinyl cutter doesn't mean that you should." The covers almost killed me. BUT I LIVED.

About the Bind

This edition was typeset in Affinity Publisher in Cardo with titles in Glamora and drop caps in Art Nouveau Caps. In keeping with the art nouveau theme, the decorative ornaments are all drawn from contemporary advertisements published in 1903 to 1904. It was printed on 24/60 lb off white short grain paper.

These books are both rounded hardcovers with full bookcloth cases. The cover decorations were applied with custom vinyl stencils and acrylic paint. Both of them were supposed to have ribbon bookmarks, but I forgot to add one to my personal copy and didn't remember until the entire spine was finished. Oh well.

It doesn't come through in the pictures, but pulling these books together was.... a battle. Stencil issues, scuffed paint, glue strike through on the bookcloth, crooked case in: you name it, it happened. Overall, I'm mostly pleased with the results (and the second copy definitely turned out better than the first!), but I was unbelievably happy to close out this particular project.

It makes me sad when people read the Milgram vote percentages as if it's saying characters are "more deserving" of a verdict with a higher percentage. A big ratio number doesn't mean we really think they deserve that verdict, maybe everyone who voted for that outcome just barely came to that decision. It's showing the ratio of final decision of the fan base, not the strength of their opinions...

I just feel like it dumbs down/ignores so much of the complex reflection that goes on for a lot of fans. Maybe some people vote with 100% of their spirit, but for a lot of people it's an interesting and complex choice that may be made hesitantly because of all the factors at play

A doctor becomes the leader of an organization by killing the last one, making it look like natural causes somehow with the witness being an apprenticed aged guy telling him to say that the former leader said that his successor was the doctor

Like that would be cool as shit in bonewarriors. Evil medic that gained power in a way that people can’t question but also like… should? Would be a hell of an exploration I think
