dragon age update!! finished origins for the second time ever :3

I wanted to try something new this time, which is why it took me so much time. I'll get into it later.
But there are a few new things I have added and changed from the previous one. First off, there are more interactions available: social interactions, phone interactions, and rabbit hole interactions.
Each one of these interactions corresponds to a specific relationship bit.
Healing Touch: 'Plan Relaxing Activities Together,' 'Offer Comfort through Hugs and Physical Touch.'
Wisdom Seekers: 'Ask Questions about the Universe.'
Unbreakable Connection: 'Celebrate Anniversary of Enduring Connection,' 'Promise Everlasting Friendship' (Only available pre-promise).
I do need to note that, just like the other mod, many of these are cosmetic and don't have a full effect yet. (Emphasis on 'yet,' as I will slowly but surely make these more functional.)

If your Sims have the Wisdom Seeker, Tech-Savvy Partners, or Night Owl Companions relationship bits, some interactions will unlock on the phone:
Wisdom Seeker: Study Together at the Library 
Tech-Savvy Partners: Send Tech News 
Night Owl Companions: Night Time Activities Menu 
(Regarding nighttime activities, I haven't found a workaround for this issue yet. However, here's a temporary solution: When selecting an activity for the two Sims who have the rabbit, choose the Sim you want to go with first, and then select yourself again using the same option. I'm not sure why this happens, but it can be a bit inconvenient. I'll work on making the process more streamlined in the future, but for now, this is how you can get them to go to the same activity.)

The new feature I've been working on, which I'm quite excited about, involves social interactions. I've always felt that many social interactions lacked depth and context. So, what I'm currently working on is creating social interactions to fill that gap
One of these interactions is 'Provide Emotional Support,' which is available for Sims with the 'Healing Touch' relationship.
In this interaction, your Sim will be presented with several options when they are feeling sad. Your Sim can choose from these options to express why they are feeling sad. Once they make a selection, the other Sim will ask for more context, leading to the exchange of contextual advice and reassurance.

I've also developed another social interaction, 'Try to Confess Feelings,' which is available for Sims experiencing 'Unrequited Love.
Attempting to confess your feelings will lead to various outcomes depending on the option you choose. In this interaction, the Sim who hears the confession will have several response options available.
The choice made by the listening Sim will have an impact on their relationship, both romantically and platonically. Some response options may harm the relationship more than others.
The way the Sim responds through the animation doesn't affect the outcome. I've designed it this way to leave the choice entirely in the player's hands. However, unless both Sims are in a flirty mood and have a high friendship level, the Sim who hears the confession will always use the rejection animation. Nevertheless, this animation choice doesn't alter the outcome.

The social interaction 'Forbid Relationship With' can be used either before or after designating two Sims as star-crossed lovers. Some of the options will even add the 'star-crossed lovers' relationship bit to the two Sims (if they didn't have it), while others will remove it (if they did have it).
The interaction can be found under the Mean -- Arguments Pie Menu Category. Only a parent, grandparent, uncle, or caregiver can trigger the interaction.

Depending on the chosen options, the relationship can either suffer a negative or experience a positive impact. While all of the options will influence the relationship, certain responses will have a significantly greater effect on it than others.

After two vanilla perfection runs (and 1/2 a run heavily modded which I hated), I've found that I really enjoy the game as it is. I've put these mods into three categories: beginners, post-perfection, and bonus. This is because I truly recommend doing a completely vanilla run to perfection before modding. This game is a gem already! These are my must-haves to enhance Vanilla game play, rather than replace it.

SMAPI- This framework will be needed
Content Patcher, Generic Mod Config and other framework mods When you download a mod at Nexus a pop-up will show if these are required and you can download from there.
Dynamic Night Time Adds sunsets and sunrises
Automatic Gates You'll never have to open or close a gate manually which the is second to only vanilla game mechanic I truly hate.
No Fence Decay Fixes the first game mechanic that I truly hate
Data Layers Shows the range of sprinklers, scarecrows, etc.
Billboard Anywhere Now you can look at the calendar whenever you need
Passable Crops
Pony W**ght Loss Program Really gross name, very helpful mod. Makes it so your horse can pass through areas you previously couldn't.
Post-Perfection 🌿
Clint Rewritten You should experience Clint as he is written at least once. After that overwrite him lmao
Rustic Traveling Cart
Better Friendship and Better Ranching Do your first play through without these mods, just use a guide if you need. Trust me it's part of the fun!
Chests Anywhere Access your chests anywhere you need. First play through should be partially about learning to manage IMO, which is why I recc for second.
Look Up Anything Don't you dare put this in your first play through, I will haunt you. I'm serious!!! Use a guide.
NPC map locations Say it with me... FIRST TIME, USE A GUIDE.
Bonus (mostly cosmetic) 🍄
Reshade of your choice I'm using Faedew currently because it doesn't drastically alter the OG coloring. The bright colors are part of the charm though unless you can't handle them or just want a general change.
Sweet Skin Tones Wider variety of natural skintones for your farmer
Shardust's Hair Styles Cute hairs for your farmer, including several textured hair options
Hats Won't Mess Up Hair- to keep your cute styles
Elle's Cuter Animals Just makes animals cuter. Comes in: Coop-Barn-Horses-Dogs-Cats
Toddlers Like Parents Genetics for your kids but in a one sided way
Seasonal Outfits (slightly cuter aesthetic) Gives characters a wider variety of seasonal clothing options. Pretty customizable to your desires.
Eventually I might make another list for super cosmetic or more intense mods, such as what I use with Fashion Sense which focuses on farmer customization, or asset replacement mods. These are super unnecessary and I'll likely only be playing the new patch with these above. Enjoy!

What and how does this CC works?
This overlay can be found in multiple categories like Skin Details, Makeup, and Tattoos! It adds fake but still realistic shadow to your sims. This overlay will not conflict with any other CC/mods since it's just cosmetics, not a real lighting mods or something like that! I highly recommend using this only when taking pictures of your sims!

If you think you saw this post yesterday, yes you did- then I made a couple edits and realized I should have done it under a readmore in case people reblogged it... So here we go again! These are the possible replacements I found for the littlemssam mods I was using, in case they help anyone else.
Caveats: - Often not a 1:1 replacement. - I only went looking for replacements for mods I was actually using, so this only covers a fraction of her catalog. - Most of these modders still use Curseforge, they're just not exclusive to it.

A while back I was digging through YouTube as I tend to do and found this video of an incredibly strange mystery band.

They were at the ST Regis MT Travel Center and they were....bad off. Seems like the main problem is that they were installed completely wrong, both cosmetically and probably internally, and the signals for the bear(???), the only character that works, seems to be a little off too. They're not very known, and this is the only evidence I could find of them existing at all-if the video quality were a little better I'd be able to read what the letters on the dog's(?) Instrument says, but I can't. I can make out "Barry Wild and the ??? fork drifters" though.
Just thought I'd share these poor little creeps. There's a high chance they've been totally scrapped by now honestly, given how old this video is and how a comment on it from 7 years ago says "I just went there yesterday. This wasn't there, but there was a creepy motion activated talking moose head"
I saw this video ages ago; I forget if we featured it. The lead singer's programming (or air lines) are swapped; his foot has his mouth movement and vice-versa! We do have an HD pic of them, revealing their name to be "Barry Wild and the Clark Fork Drifters".

Patch #7, meet playthrough #6. This is the fourth time I've played Tav & it still took me over an hour to get through character creation.
One thing I'm really getting into this time which I didn't expect is modding. Customizing them, specifically. Nothing big--I actually really dislike 99% of the popular face/armor/appearance mods--but just little QoL things that won't matter to anyone but me. Things like figuring out how to edit the super immersion-breaking descriptions of the singular dye mod I do use, or fixing minor cosmetic errors in my downloaded dice skins, or adjusting the width of the hotbar-widening mod I just found today.
I'm laughing at myself as I do it, too, because it's a metric ton of effort for a) an audience of one, and b) to make the mods as unnoticeable as possible. No matter what game I'm playing, I always strongly prefer my mods to be as lore-friendly and as invisible as I can get them, and BG3's no exception. I don't want branding or typos in the item names and descriptions. I don't want "This dye make leathers red/black and if there is any metal it will be silver" popping up on a tooltip in game. (Heck, the only reason I have a dye mod in the first place is that they changed the Ocean dye after my first playthrough and I wanted to recreate the original.)
I don't want "AREIL'S DICE - Diamond dice Mod" next to Behir Blue and Shining Honour. I don't want the hotbar at the bottom of the screen 12 full columns wider so that it hits the sides; I just want it two columns wider. Just enough for a half-dozen more spells for Shadowheart. No big new buttons. No big spell icons with a jarringly different art style. Just little, invisible changes that someone passing by wouldn't even be able to notice which ever-so-slightly improve my experience.
Anyway, my latest project is that four of the dice skins I downloaded (all from the same maker) have flawed face covers--that is, the opaque triangle that hides the rolled number while adding up the bonuses on screen. It turns out that triangle's a .DDS file, and it turns out it's not hard at all to edit .DDS files, and now that I've learned the difference between .dds and .DDS (because boy there is one!!) I feel confident I can make a new face cover that isn't so clumsy and clunky and obviously a player's creation.
It's been really fun unpacking these mods and learning how they're built & how the files are created. I don't have any desire to create my own, and I still haven't touched anything that requires meshes or 3D construction, but it's a new way of exploring how I game, and I'm really having a blast!

Jonny and Lyfrassir Edda are the same person.
When i first came up with this, it was based largely on a lack of understanding of mechs canon, bit its still fun to poke at
hope you don't mind if I take this concept and run with it:
Jonny gets some cosmetic surgeries and grows out his hair (and wears shoes with lifts every fucking day for years) for the sole purpose of getting the closest to a primary source as he can for their next album.
Then the Mechs arrive and Don't Fucking Recognize Him. Marius gets a big cutesy crush on "Lyfrassir," which Jonny QUICKLY realizes and tries to do everything in his power to discourage, but marius is a STUBBORN motherfucker.
jonny doesn't get technology, so he has to go see the Mechs in prison, which is always a risk of getting found out. And then his body gets hijacked by an eldritch being.
The Mechs, who thought Jonny was hanging out on Aurora the whole time, take off without him, leafing him to try to get out of the Yggdrasil system alone. They find him a few decades later after he's died a few times and looks back to normal, where he chews them out for leaving him, accidentally slipping that he was Lyf.
Jonny and Marius are very awkward around each other for the next few centuries.

Hi! Okay! So I’ve hidden details below, but if you just want the download link here you go.

Alright, so a while back I found this lovely beehive conversion from Foresty, which was based on Untidyfan’s 3to2 conversion, which is in turn based on Gwenke’s functional beehive. What a way we’ve come! Believe (bee-lieve) it or not this is actually the object that got me interested in modding.
What I didn’t like about the original object was that it used 2 different objects as the honey, and the overload of effects. Lots of lag. So I’ve made a few tweaks!
The first 2 are cosmetic, I’ve moved the hive from the gardening section to Hobbies.../Misc, and the default texture is yellow, but the original green is still available. Bees are yellow, duh.
Sims now harvest honey directly into their inventory, which they can drink or stock the fridge with. This is a 4to2 conversion of the honey, which I thought was neat.
The hive now only displays the bee effects when open, or when a sim angers the bees. It produces a jar of honey every 18 hours, and Gatherer sims have a 50% chance of harvesting an extra jar each harvest. Lucky sims have about a 5% chance, and these can stack. A Lucky + Gatherer sim can harvest 2 extra jars, potentially.
Sims will autonomously harvest honey and occasionally inspect the beehive, please let me know if these values seem off to you I wasn’t super sure on them. Cowards will never harvest honey. Too many stingers!
The hive now builds nature enthusiasm when it’s used, and sims can harvest multiple jars at once. I’m not sure if there’s a limit to how much honey the hive can hold? I guess just keep an eye on it.
There’s two 2 new memories included as well. If you’re not comfortable with custom memories in your game please leave them out of your downloads folder, the hive seems to work just fine.
Caveats
Bee-cause of course there are. I might work some of these things out, but right now I’m done with this project.
My beehive and Foresty’s share the same GUID, and my jar of honey does as well. I’m not sure if that’s shared across all these hives or not. But you can’t have both in the game.
Children can not harvest honey, I didn’t feel like working on the animations.
Sims can’t drink the honey straight from their inventory, it must be placed first.
The animations and tool used to grab the honey are a bit off, but not enough that it actually bothers me right now.
Finally, the jar of honey itself.

As you can see the textures aren’t great? But I don’t know enough about objects to get it right. I’ll put this out there, if someone wants to help me fix this I’d be forever grateful.
I also wanted to edit the anger bees interaction, but I couldn’t get the chased by bees interaction to work? So I gave up. I do think there should be more ways for sims to die by flies anyway, but it’s not my ideal interaction.
Lastly, I wanted to convert the Honey Cake from 4, but food again proved challenging, and when I got to trying to do the coding so it requires a Honey in the fridge, it looked like a LUA script to me? So I backed off. Maybe one day. Not today.
You might be able to get away with not having the UC for this, but I think at the very least you’ll need BV. I can’t support any installations other than the UC though.
Anyway, thanks for reading! I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I am! It’s just a fun silly little thing, but our sims need bees right???

Guidelines I follow as well as any helpful links to some name generators will be under the cut! ♥
Starting a new Neighborhood can be tough! Where do you even start? Well, this written guide and video above is here to help you get started!
STEP 1: Creating/Choosing a Template - If you want to start from COMPLETELY SCRATCH, open up SimCity 4 and create your own map! - If that's too difficult or you just don't want to (like me!), you can download maps off ModTheSims or use the ones already provided in-game for you! :)
STEP 2: Naming Your Neighborhood/Lots - Take inspiration from real life! - Generators also help A TONNN! Below I linked the ones I like most! Feel free to mix and match them to come up with more unique combinations!
Fantasy Name Generators (Town Names) Mithril And Mages - City Names Sims 2 Name Generator
STEP 3: Lot Planning - Personally, I like to keep Community Lots/Apartments near the center of the map, and Residential homes around the sides/edges - Decide if you want just Small, Medium and/or Large lots in your neighborhood! - Place them around the map to figure out a layout until you are satisfied!
STEP 4: Choosing Your Community Lots - Main Hood Essentials: Cemetery, Restaurant, Park, Clothing Store, Grocery Store - University Essentials: Library, Town Hall, Lounge, Gym - Shopping District Essentials: Everything you can imagine! I also like to leave space for Sims to own their own businesses! I tend to use Shopping Districts as Secondary-Main Neighborhoods! - Downtown Essentials: Bowling Alley, Bar, Restaurant, Cemetery - Vacation Essentials: Hotels, Parks, Landmarks After I have the essentials, I fill in the gaps with whatever I want! Like I added a Car Dealership in my main neighborhood as well as a Cosmetic Surgery clinic! I also added a Train Station in my University!
The Mithril and Mages link above is great to come up with names and business ideas too!
STEP 5: Decorating Your 'Hood - I do this overtime! I don't think there's ever been a time where I've stopped decorating! Start by placing some trees or the flower decorations around the empty lots you placed!
STEP 6: Neighborhood/Lot Descriptions - Personally the hardest thing about Custom Neighborhoods! The good thing though is these can be left blank and nobody would know! - My best advice is to wait until most of the 'hood is built up, and then come with some descriptions! - Photoshopping the pictures like EA/Maxis will create beautiful pictures for the Neighborhood Stories album! (This is another post for another time)
STEP 7: The Families - Can't have a complete neighborhood without Sims and Families! - Use the Random Aspect Generator to come up with various Personalities for your Sims! - If you forgot to use a Clean Template (No Townies), I found a mod that will change up their names! - Take inspiration from TV Shows or the other Sims games! I always tend to recreate the Broke Family's storyline and Malcolm Landgraab's storyline with 2 families in my neighborhoods! (I like having a Rich and a Poor family lmao)
Creating new neighborhoods is always so much fun! I hope some of these guidelines help you get inspired!

Oh skyrim modding experts I beg of thee for assistance.
Basically: I'm going to be getting skyrim on my pc so I want to mod it to be playable. Planning on special edition and my goal is to play it as close to vanilla as possible besides one or two cosmetics. (I've barely started the main quest on a friend's xbox) Do people have any good beginner vanilla plus mods basically? I'm mostly looking for ones that add cloaks/capes but I think I found some, and more importantly: character customization that gets way more in depth without sacrificing the art style. Every thing I've found for character customization always makes everything feel more like plastic dolls than the actual art style. I'm hoping to avoid that. Anyone have any good reccomendations that are either the 'standard' for modded skyrim or help in those areas?

Thanks to the TOOL mod and Timeless mod, a very different Windenburg and Magnolia Promenade take shape. Hopefully at some point I actually play the game that is now modded quite extensively, having found fixes and enhancements for a bunch of stuff, along with some purely cosmetic cc.
