Damit. We’re 15 minutes into the 3rd when all of a sudden he does it again. My boyfriend Mark, who yes, apparently can’t go a weekend without getting a penalty. He got his first of the night for a hooking call 11 minutes into the first. It’s normal for players to get penalized, but with Mark it’s a different case. Going into tonight he had 83 penalty minutes. That’s the most in the big 10. He got his first minor and that caused him to TIE the player from Arizona State, in most penalties in the nation. That means his 2nd penalty, put him in first. His most recent one was for handling the puck. Be so fucking for real. I’m sooo close to just making a checklist of all the penalties and seeing how many he could cross out. No wait, I have a better idea. I should make a bingo card. He'd bingo way too much. As a result of my boyfriend’s many penalties, this has caused me to get seats right next to the box. The sin bin seats are just what I need to scold my boyfriend for the next two minutes.

He skates into the box, and looks straight at me, while taking off his helmet. I roll my eyes at him. “What?!” He wines. “Your no longer tied bud.” I say bluntly. “Shit!” He realizes. With being top in the nation on penalties, he won’t be able to play tomorrow. No way in hell Naurato will let him play. And thier playing fucking Wisconsin. The last time they played them on a Saturday, Mark had a pair of goals. I can’t help but feel bad for him. He is my boyfriend after all. As he sits in the box, his head hangs and his hands run through his hair. I go back to watching the game.

The game ended 20 minutes ago. While yes they won 6-2. Mark's head was still hanging low going back into the tunnel after the game. Me and some of the other players' girlfriends are waiting for them all to come out. “Have fun with him tonight.” Luke’s girlfriend tells me. “Uh huh. I’m going to have to talk some sense into him, apparently.” I say back. She giggles and then all the boys walk out. Mark comes up to me and we’re both silent. He still takes my hand in his, and leads us out to his car.

When we both get in the car, he says,” I’m fucked.” I let out a slight laugh. “Yes you are.” I responded. “Tomorrow you can sit with me in the suite if you want to.” He tells me. I grab his hand,” I will.” He looks at me confused. “You're not mad?” This man. “I’m a bit frustrated, yes. But not as much anymore. I know you’ll get your act together.” He smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek. “Thank you. For being there. And for believing in me. I'll do better, I promise you.” He tells me. “Anytime Mark. I love you.” I told him. “I love you 10x more.” He takes us home, and we forget the game ever happened.

how do you draw a hat omfg, I love drawing count night but his hat drives me crazy sometimes

I almost forgot how to draw this method. The monochrome era of my art. I left this way of drawing cuz program lag and the new brush I found was really cool. But anyway, this has its merits in being hella easy to color and shade, it's crazy. I draw characters pretty close to the source material wherever I draw with this method, if find the brush that's used in animation, I'll prolly try and draw fake screenshot thingies.

Tho I think I know the brush is very much just a real flat flat brush lol. And that animators themselves have never drawn those characters on model just cuz they appear in low budget episodes #😭 especially Evel. Except for one single scene and his reference sheet itself, I don't think he has looked on model literally ever. Not even in intros mvs. Sad asf he got the worst case of 'being done dirty' by animators. May I say he doesn't look on model even on his promo images.

when that thing with soccer ball happened i thought that satoru tried to intentionally kick it in kai’s face to create some distance between them💀 him being jealous and overprotective the whole chapter was so hot omg how do u make him so hot. 

i really don’t understand what kai’s goal was with that whole “interview”?? i mean i do but couldn’t he just tell her directly hey you’re just going to need to suck someone off if u want to succeed and not have her go through all of that and embarrass her?? or was the embarrassment the point?? also can we talk about how scary it is to go to a bar with 3 men that are basically strangers and shady asf, like i knew something was going to happen the moment that guy made a remark “you’re going to learn so much under him”. if i were her i would have went with satoru after he had pulled her over lolz but u can see how angry she was at him that she decided to ignore the red flags just to spite him

and the end with satoru saying that he’s going to help her and that she’s enough really shows the difference between him and kai. i hope the last 3 chapters are full of fluffff cause our girl has been going through itttt but i also hope she does make him beg and grovel just because of how bipolar he has been acting.

yea i thought a lot ab kai’s motives in this chapter. he clearly likes/was attracted to her since the beginning, but when she rejected his kiss, he realized there’s not rly much to be built there (or in his mind she doesn’t “put out” easy 🙄),, so she lost favor w him and he pretended to look out for her just to be spiteful after that. i guess i liken it to guys that are only nice to girls if they’re attracted to them and/or provide them w something like sex or attention. i think in ch8 he was genuinely looking out for her (albeit not very compassionately), but after she rejected his kiss, he was like meh idc to be careful ab this anymore. but also, i think he himself didnt realize that she is pretty capable and actually has a decent resume/shot at the dreams he gave up on, so the more he learned ab it, the more insecure he became ab his own goals and also her rejection of him, and then bam he felt compelled to embarrass her (grade A asshole). but also, he got her hopes up w a decent sounding job, just to crush em, which he knew would add to the pain

and yea i think her red flag radar was goin off the whole time w kai and her friends but mannn i think she just was rly desperate given everything going on 😔 and yea i mean satoru was always gonna keep an eye on her for sure regardless, but she was angry w him, he was hurt by her, just not a good environment for mutual support and care to occur lmfao. ur so right tho that wld be such a terrifying situation to get yourself into

and i knowwwww reader went thru so fkn much this chapter i felt so bad 😭 but yeah there will probs be more than three chapters haha cuz i have a lot more stuff to cover, but it’s def satoru’s turn to obsessively pine over her lmao.

i always heard bad things about Spirit of Justice. i think the critiques of it are wholly warranted (Apollo's random-ass rewritten backstory, Nahyuta being boring, i think a lot of people also dislike Garan as a prosecutor and she really sucks, she is the worst prosecutor in the entire series honestly though she's a ... passable villain, among other critiques i'm not very familiar with) but i just finished SOJ, and like, it is WAY fucking better than it feels like a lot of people would lead you to believe.

i actually think it's a better game than Dual Destinies. idk which of the two i'd pick as my favorite. i enjoyed the vibes/feel of DD, but the plot was much more interesting and well thought out in SOJ. but out of the 3 new trilogy games, SOJ was the ONLY game where i finished it and went "that was great". DD's ending made me really upset (although i loved the Blackquill and Athena stuff), and Apollo Justice underwhelmed throughout the entirety of the game.

Nahyuta is pretty boring, and i kept forgetting he was even there most of the time, but i find i actually really like him. i can't explain it. i thought Klavier was also super boring but i really disliked him, but i see Nahyuta and i'm like idk man. i like him. he's cool, got a nice design, and he's got very interesting things going on with his character, although the execution could be better. the emotional impacts with him in the last case could be a lot stronger. he still just Kinda Exists most of the time in the final case even though he should have such a strong impact on it. but it doesn't bother me, i just Like Him.

but the plot was cool and feels much more solid than the dumb shit they did with the DD plot, the characters felt better utilized (aside from Trucy who continues to rot on the side, but at least she starred in a case in this one), and it was just like. satisfying. Rayfa, Apollo, and Nahyuta all have wonderful character arcs even if i think Nahyuta's execution is underbaked. i think the ending was cool with Apollo staying in Khurain to try and help rebuild. i love that idea. Apollo honestly is an awesome character. i never DISliked him but he was kind of a plank earlier on in the trilogy, but he kinda finally came into his own in this one.

the Apollo Justice trilogy has some high highs, but such, deep low lows when it gets bad. but i liked it. i was afraid i wouldn't because i had such a hard time getting into Apollo Justice, and i still consider that to be my least favorite Ace Attorney game by far, it's not even a competition. but DD and SOJ brought it home, although i had some major issues with DD.

anyways, i was wrong about SOJ. i was so afraid it was going to be super bad going in because of all i'd heard and i just. i liked it, simple as. is it perfect? nooo. that filler case was lame asf (aside from more Blackquill and Athena, my absolutely FAVORITE dynamic in the Ace Attorney series PERIOD) and the vibes in the first case are kinda weird and uncomfortable and i wasn't too sure about it, but the rest of the game is pretty solid. i was genuinely invested in the characters, which i couldn't say i rly was in DD (at least in terms of the main crew, i loved Blackquill and Fulbright ofc and yall know it KRKJF) even though i loved DD.

the final case, Turnabout Revolution, was great, which i can't say about Turnabout Succession OR Turnabout for Tomorrow (though i intend eventually to replay DD knowing the full context of the Phantom twist so i won't get blindsided by feeling deeply upset by it lol it might change how i feel)

anyways top 5 new trilogy characters in no real order aside from Blackquill really is my number 1 let's go

Woooah Iris update for the Sleep Awake fanfic! (real not click bait)

Usually, I'd just drop off the design and skedaddle but I decided to explain my design decisions here for not only this new design but also the older one since I never remember explaining anything.

First off, physical changes (body and hair)! She's the same short ass height of 4-11, still pale asf, she has the same slim pear body shape, her face is still round, and her cheeks are still naturally rosey (think Fuyuhiko).

One of the big changes is in her eyes which are now very big, round, and pink. It shows through a lot of my designs, but I've always loved the gothic lolita aesthetic. It's very elegant and pretty, it often reminds me of porcelain dolls, a huge inspiration for not only my art but also my style in real life. As such, I've embraced the glassy big eye look that most porcelain dolls have, which is why she's depicted with no pupils. As for why they're pink? I just really like the color. The only reason they were green in the first place is that the original 'Iris Kiede' character had green eyes as a holdover from her previous designs.

The hair change is a result of me growing out of my love for the bog hairstyle and appreciating my natural hair a lot more. While I am naturally brunette, and I envision her new hair as blonde, my hair is naturally wavy/curly. The hairstyle show is just a super exaggeration of that though the princess curl or drill hairstyle anime often portrays. In case you're curious as to why she's not brunette, I just despise being brunette. It's a personal thing, and I've long since bleached my hair to be blonde lol.

Also, the bangs are now fluffy and straight with a little ahoge that's hatred down as an extra little hair tuft! Just too give the MC vibe and also because I love fluffy bangs!

Fun fact! As drawn here AND in the original design, I actually danganronpa-fied her hairstyles! The Franchise LOVES this almost Tim Burton style of hair where they oversaturated it and made a lot of big shapes with fly-away hairs for days. Iris always had a natural bob cut in her original design, it was just a bit poofier than the average cut so I made it have these dramatic curls to represent that. I did something very similar in the new design where I added a lot of flyaway hairs that I normally would.

Not much changed with her uniform. I made it more obvious that her white dress underneath her romper/overall dress thing is supposed to be ruffled rather than pleated. Her first design was pleated only because the series never really drew any ruffles on any character, the closest ones always ended up looking pleated anyway so to stick to the style I just drew them as a pleated pattern and made it so the skirt flared out slightly.

She's finally got the ruffled skirt she always deserved!

I changed the sleeves because I thought the old sleeve design would compete WAY too much with her big curly hair. The gloves are there now because I have sensory issues and touching very common items is physically painful to me, so I have to wear gloves or long sleeves to deal with this.

The shoes were changed to loafers because I simply like them better now. I think it gives her legs a better visual weight as well as makes her legs less visually crowded.

FUN FACT! The original design for the leg warmers is a reference to the OG (Y/N)'s mismatched overall design where they have one leg rolled up and the other completely down. The bang with the cute little pocket/compartment was and is still used and a garter to keep the other leg warmer up!

NieR: Automata... so far!

Okay just gonna start this by saying that so far I’ve only really gotten to the first save point in the game so this is mainly just first impressions!

This game is one of those rare times where I’m going through it with high expectations. Usually I keep my expectations for things low when it comes to movies, tv shows and games (etc..). But with Nier automata I went in mostly blind and filled with hope/expectations. And like even just with the bits shown above I am very happy so far. The art in the game is stunning so far! 2b looks and sounds gorgeous. 9s so far is a cutie pie! Although I did get a minor spoiler that he apparently does something bad… bad enough that I’ll apparently end up disliking him. Which I doubt but who knows?

I remember walking up to the bridge for the first time and just knowing immediately that sh*t was gonna get real. It looked/felt both ominous asf and innocent. It took me until my 3rd-ish try to beat the Goliath boss ya’ll… I’m playing on normal mode. Yes, yes I am embarrassed by that LOL. What’s worse is that I died twice to the two chainsaw things before I got to the actual boss on the third try. And I beat the actual boss on my first time getting to it. The moment the actual boss robot appeared my jaw dropped ya’ll. I was SHOOK.

I know I already said it but ya’ll… THE ART IS SO F**KING PRETTY OMG. Also I really like the different ‘camera’ angles the game changes to at certain points. Like in the first pic above, when going around circle buildings (etc…).

I think I know which comment you're talking about: the one about my ex-bsf who basically ghosted me. That friendship was not only one sided, but toxic asf. They would shit on my beliefs, make jokes at my expense, and if they were called out for their behavior, they'd say that it didn't matter bcuz they were gonna off themself anyway. It was really shitty, and towards the end, they made it very clear they were a fake friend (literally called themself fake) so I had to cut ties my own way.

I'm sorry your "friend" couldn't compromise in communication. That is such a sucky feeling; trying to keep a friendship afloat, even if the other person isn't. And it's sad that no one in this world can have a normal conversation.

Don't get me wrong, me and the friends I have left (including my new BSF) don't text anything deep. Like, we text all the time, but we usually avoid deep conversations. Not bcuz we can't have meaningful conversation, but bcuz we don't feel comfortable texting; deep shit should be said in person, or,at the bare minimum, over a phone call. So that's why we text pretty shallow, or not at all. But, our friendship is also strong enough to withstand a few days without talking and still being closer than ever.

I understand your exhaustion, for a while I shared your sentiment, but I firmly believe that everyone has a person. A person who they can talk to freely, whenever, without worry of toxicity or emotional distance. A person who is always there with a shoulder to cry on, and advice that one might need to hear, even if they don't want to hear it. A person who will be willing to sit in silence when need be, or rant with them, or simply listens bcuz talking without interruption is therapeutic. A person who is their person, through thick and thin.

And, I know we don't know each other, and have an age gap (tho, idk how large it is), but if you need someone to listen to your rants and rambles, or to talk you through a situation, or to just tell you your heard and appreciated, I'm more than willing.
