Attention all proper little (web dev) nerds:

The new polls have a default color of a jarring blue with black text for the poll options. This might look terrible on your blog depending on your color theme.

Here's how you fix it:

In your custom CSS on your blog settings, you need to define the background color and color (text color) in two selectors: .poll-post a.poll-row and .poll-row. To make it easy for you, you can just copy the text below, paste it into your custom CSS box and replace the hex colors with your preferred colors.

Yes, you need to change it on both because there's something overriding it elsewhere and it will not change if you don't do it for both. It took me about 20 minutes to figure it out, so hopefully this saves you some time and frustration. Feel free to reblog!

Hi there! If you use Chrome or Firefox, inspect the elements and style their classes accordingly. ".poll-post a.poll-row" is the class for each poll choice. But it's best if you inspect, so you know what to override:
