i think i might be the biggest mary hatford defender in the fandom cuz like i am fully aware she fucked him up ROYALLY and that she's by no means a good mother, but it feels like people think she hated neil and PURPOSELY ruined him
speak your truth. mary hatford was not a good mother but think about how she could've left neil. she could've run on her own, probably successfully disappeared too. she could've let him do the second day of raven trials. she could've risked nathan killing him if tetsuji decided.
she didn't even hesitate. she took him and left because there was no way in hell she was letting there even be a chance that neil wouldn't survive. i think mary expected to die on the run from the moment she left but do you know how long they ran without nathan catching up??? EIGHT YEARS. eight years mary hatford kept her son alive and not only that she kept him with her too. no doubt there would've been an opportunity to leave him at an orphanage or something, run away alone, but she didn't just want him to stay alive she wanted to stay with him. she loved him. even when he smiled just like his father did. even when his voice trembled when he lied. even when his hands shook when she taught him how to shoot even when he cried and couldn't hold the needle to stitch up a wound. she couldn't bear losing him.
i don't think she wanted him to run forever. i think part of her hoped that someday he would be able to live a normal life, find people he loved, without keeping one foot out the door all the time, without looking over his shoulder. she told him to never stop running but i think part of her wanted him to. i think she would be proud of where he is now. one of them had to make it.

Aaron. My dude. The old bat asks you to risk your livelihood and reputation by stealing from your boss and you don’t even think to ask for payment up front?? Like, not even half the money she promised you?? You just took her word for it and snatched it??
AARON: Look I’m desperate for money. I want the best future for my daughter, she really wants to go to University and study medicine but my wife and I just don’t have the funds. I don’t want to let my little girl down.
I guess that old hag took advantage of my desperation. I don’t even know what I’m going to do now, my wife is going to be furious if I lose this job.

Can you write a story where the reader, a BAU member, is on maternity leave after she and Aaron just had a baby? One day, she goes to the office to bring their daughter to visit Aaron, only to find him in the bullpen with the agent who replaced her while she’s been on leave. The replacement has a crush on Aaron and doesn’t know that he’s married to the reader. The replacement becomes jealous when she sees how much attention Aaron is giving their daughter and confronts the reader, but Aaron gets angry and ends up firing her."
Family first | [A.H]
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x fem!reader | WC: 1.1k | CW: Fluff, mom!reader, they have a daugther, bitch of a replacement coworker who doesn't know her place.
As you stepped into the all too familiar bullpen you were met with the usual sound of phones ringing, keyboards clicking, and the occasional laughter bubbling up from conversations between team members. You hadn’t stepped foot in the office in months — your maternity leave had been an endless storm of sleepless nights, diaper changes, and indescribable moments of joy. Now, cradling your six-month-old daughter in your arms, you stood at the threshold of the office, taking it all in — realizing how little you'd missed working, as long as you got to spend your time with your daughter.
“Ready to surprise Daddy?” you cooed to your baby, brushing a soft kiss against her fluffy head. She giggled in response, her little hand grasping at your necklace — the one Aaron had gotten you with a charm of your daughter's initial. Her chubby fingers wrapped around the charm, and you couldn’t help but smile at her curiosity.
Heads turned as you had entered, and a wave of warmth spread through you as familiar voices from your friends greeted you.
“Y/N!” Garcia’s exclamation came first as she flew across the bullpen, pulling away from her conversation with Morgan, her colorful dress trailing behind her. “Oh my gosh, let me see that precious little angel!”
You laughed, carefully handing over your daughter as Garcia immediately began cooing at her. Emily, Morgan, and JJ soon gathered around, their faces lighting up at the sight of the baby.
“Look at those cheeks,” Morgan said, his voice soft as he tickled her tiny hand. “Hotch better have her signed up for karate classes already. Gotta keep the boys away.”
“Or girls,” Emily added. “She’s going to be a heartbreaker either way.”
You beamed at their affection, the team’s love for your little family filling your heart. “Where is Aaron?” you asked, glancing toward his office. The blinds were drawn, but you knew he wasn’t inside.
JJ nodded toward the conference room. “He’s in there, showing something to Agent Morrison.”
Your smile faltered slightly at the mention of Morrison, the agent who had been brought in temporarily to cover your leave. You hadn’t met her yet, but you’d heard through the grapevine that she was ambitious, skilled, and confident — maybe a little too confident.
You spotted Aaron through the windows, his back turned as he reviewed what you assumed were some case files with Morrison. He looked relaxed yet tired, his tie slightly loosened, though his usual air of authority remained in place. Morrison stood close to him — a little too close — her laughter ringing out at something he said.
Your lips pressed into a thin line, but you pushed the feeling aside. Aaron was your husband, your partner, and the father of the baby currently making grabby hands at Morgan’s face. You had no reason to feel insecure.
Morgan handed your daughter back to you as you went to greet your husband.
And still, as you approached, you couldn’t help but notice the way Morrison’s body language leaned toward him, her hand brushing his forearm as she laughed again. Aaron didn’t seem to notice — or if he did, he wasn’t encouraging it.
When you reached the conference room, Aaron glanced up, and the moment his eyes met yours, his entire demeanor softened.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice filled with warmth and surprise. His gaze immediately dropped to the baby in your arms, and he stood quickly, coming around the desk to envelop you both in a hug.
“You should’ve told me you were coming,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to your temple before gently brushing a finger across your daughter’s cheek. She squealed in delight, reaching out for him, and he took her into his arms with ease.
“It wouldn’t have been a surprise if I told you,” you replied, grinning as you watched him cradle her. “I figured you could use a break.”
Aaron’s smile widened, and he kissed the baby’s forehead before turning back to you. “I always have time for my girls.”
Morrison’s voice cut into the moment, a hint of confusion lacing her words. “Wait, your girls?”
You turned to her, offering a polite smile. “Hi, I’m Y/N. Aaron’s wife.”
Her eyes widened, darting between you, Aaron, and the baby. “Wife?” she repeated, her tone almost incredulous.
Aaron’s arm settled protectively around your waist as he nodded. “Yes, my wife. Y/N used to work here before going on maternity leave.”
Morrison’s expression shifted, her initial surprise giving way to something more guarded. “Oh. I… I didn’t realize.”
“Well, now you do,” Aaron said firmly, his tone polite but edged with finality, hoping that your visit would make Morrison drop her antics.
The tension in Morrison’s posture was clear as day, but she pasted on a smile. “She’s adorable,” she said, nodding toward the baby. “You’re very lucky.”
Aaron’s grip on you tightened slightly. “I know I am.”
The interaction seemed to conclude there, and Morrison excused herself, claiming she had paperwork to finish. But as the day went on, it became clear that the encounter had unsettled her. You noticed her watching you from across the room, her eyes narrowing whenever Aaron’s attention lingered on you or the baby.
Finally, as you were gathering your things to leave, Morrison approached you near the elevator. Her smile was tight, her tone clipped.
“Can I talk to you for a moment?” she asked, glancing around to ensure no one else was within earshot.
You raised an eyebrow but nodded. “Sure. What’s on your mind?”
Her polite facade dropped almost instantly. “You don’t have to flaunt your relationship in front of everyone,” she said sharply. “It’s unprofessional.”
Your jaw tightened, but you kept your voice calm. “I’m not sure what you mean.”
She scoffed. “You know exactly what I mean. Walking in here with your baby like you own the place, acting like Hotch is your personal property… It’s distracting and completely inappropriate.”
You blinked, stunned by the audacity. Before you could respond, a familiar voice cut through the tension.
“Agent Morrison.”
Aaron’s tone was ice-cold, and you turned to see him standing a few feet away, his expression thunderous. “A word, please. Now.”
Morrison’s face paled as she stammered, “I… I didn’t mean…”
“My office. Now.”
You watched as Aaron led her away, his posture stiff with fury. The bullpen had fallen silent, and you could feel the eyes of your colleagues on you, but you held your head high, refusing to let Morrison’s pettiness rattle you.
Minutes later, Aaron returned, his expression softer but still serious. He placed a hand on your arm, guiding you toward the elevator. “Let’s go home,” he said quietly.
As the elevator doors closed, you glanced up at him. “What happened?”
He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “Morrison won’t be returning. Her behavior was unacceptable, and I made it clear that we won’t tolerate that kind of attitude here.”
You nodded, your heart swelling with gratitude and love for the man beside you. “Thank you.”
Aaron’s eyes softened as he leaned down to press a kiss to your forehead. “No one disrespects my family,” he said firmly. “No one.”

Andrew looks at Kevin after the game against the Trojans.
"How does it feel?" He asks Kevin.
"Losing is not pleasant for anyone," says Kevin.
"Sorry," Andrew says without meaning it at all. "I wanted to say, how does it feel to know that Monsieur Misérable and Mr. Golden Smile are fucking together and have agreed to beat you up?"
Kevin turns to him with a growing bad mood.
"They're not having sex."
"D'Artagnan hit you too hard with the racket. You don't know what you're saying."
"They're not having sex, Andrew!"
"New bet then. I say that France conquers California before the end of the year... In two months if Monsieur Trauma takes care of his shit."
"...Jeremy has never told me he's gay."
Andrew remains silent. He turns his head towards Kevin very very slowly.
"300 dollars."
"We're not going to bet on this..."
"500 dollars."
"Why are you so happy to do this?"
"What do you mean, Kevin? I'm a very happy man."
It's impossible to tell if Andrew is joking with that unflappable expression.
And so the betting returns to the Foxes.

Like A Goddamn Vampire (Hotch x Fem!Reader) -- one shot
Is this considered crack fic? It also has smut so (inspired by this chaos I caused that @ssamorganhotchner then added to with the pictures of Hotch's neck...I regret nothing)
Warnings: secondhand embarrassment, established relationship, THAT DAMN POLO, neck biting, hickeys???, kind of sub!hotch, making out, grinding, i clearly have a thing for making him cum in his pants, y'all idk what this is don't look at me
WC: 1.5k short n spicy
You’re not a vampire. You swear.
You don’t have a good reason for why you want to bite your boyfriend, other than the fact that he looks delicious. Especially while driving.
“Why are you staring at my neck?”
“I’m not,” your reply comes quickly and gives you away entirely. This is what you get for dating an FBI profiler, the Unit Chief of them, no less.
Aaron smirks. “You were.” He pauses. “Are.”
Your eyes flick back to meet his. You hadn’t even realized your eyes had fallen down to his neck again. You look away from him, focusing instead on the passing scenery. “Lovely weather today.”
Aaron laughs, taking one hand off the wheel to rest it on your thigh. You nearly bite your own fist to keep yourself together.
“Honey,” he says, squeezing your leg. “I don’t mind.”
Your head turns toward him, curious. “Don’t mind what?”
“You staring at me.”
“Okay,” you say, your eyes falling down to his neck and collarbones again.
“Is there something on my neck?”
“No,” you blurt, shaking your head as if shaking yourself out of a trance. “No. No, I’m just--” You look ahead at the road, trying to figure out how to word this in the least embarrassing way. “I’m just. Looking.”
“At my neck.”
“What do you want me to say?” you cry, almost certain at this point that he’s teasing you. Or worse, mocking you, but you doubt it’s that. It’s almost certainly his little game of teasing you around the point until you land square on it.
The truth is, he’s always in a suit. Yes, when he stays at your place or you at his, he’ll wear a t-shirt and get comfortable. But it’s been so long -- maybe two weeks -- because both of your work schedules have gone awry, and you’re having withdrawals. Maybe that’s the explanation. It’s been almost two weeks of not seeing your boyfriend naked, and you’re losing it.
The two of you are on your way to lunch on your first joint day off in two weeks and he’s wearing a fucking polo shirt with the buttons undone and you’re losing it.
“I’m just wondering what has you in such a daze over there,” he asks, tone veering toward gentleness. “Are you okay?”
Dear god, now he thinks you’re upset and spacing out instead of horny and wanting to bite him.
“I’m fine,” you squeak out when his thumb starts stroking your inner thigh. You turn to look at him, using a surprising amount of willpower to look at only his face. “I’m great.”
He glances at you briefly, smiling. “Good.”
Good. Great. Wonderful, even.
You make it through lunch, able to focus on everything except Aaron’s neck. Your food is delicious, the weather is genuinely great, and you love to people watch.
Aaron loves to people watch, too. Except this afternoon, he seems keen to only watch you.
You squirm in your seat when you catch him staring at you again. “Do I have something on my face?”
“No,” he says. “You’re just beautiful.”
“Oh,” you smile, staring down at your food. “Thank you.”
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
You look up, keeping the smile, and managing to only glance at his neck for a second. You nod. “I’m okay. I think I was just hungry.”
Aaron doesn’t seem convinced at all. He’s seen you when you’re hungry, and you’re not usually staring at his neck for minutes on end. He lets it go, though.
Until he catches you staring at his neck again, later that night, when you’re both sitting on his couch, trying to watch a movie while you wait for the oven to preheat for dinner.
Aaron pauses the movie and you don’t even notice until he’s turning to face you on the couch, taking both of your hands in his.
“Why’d you pause it?” you ask, glancing between the TV and Aaron’s neck-- his face.
“Something’s wrong,” he says, starting to genuinely sound worried. “You’re spacing out a lot today.”
“No,” you shake your head, an embarrassed smile crawling up your neck. “No, it’s not that--”
“What is it?” he’s almost pleading, moving his head so he can meet your eyes because you won’t look at him. “Why won’t you look at me?”
“You’re too hot!” you blurt, and then immediately groan, grabbing a nearby pillow to bury your face in it.
And Aaron is laughing.
“Can you actually just take me home?” you say, muffled from the pillow. “So I can spare myself the embarrassment. Yes I’m taking the pillow with me.”
“Honey…” Aaron reaches for your waist, pulling you toward him, so much so that you are pulled into his lap.
You keep the pillow in front of your face, though you’re starting to giggle now. Even as Aaron tugs it down gently, peeking at you over the top of it.
“Don’t make fun of me,” you scold, feigning annoyance with a furrow to your brows that Aaron just thinks is the cutest thing he’s ever seen. “Don’t laugh at me.”
“I’m not,” he swears. “I’m not. Can I put the pillow down?”
“Fine,” you murmur, letting him toss it away. You rest your hands on his shoulders, thumbs dangerously close to the collar of his polo shirt. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” he says, hands finding your hips. “Is that all?”
“It’s been so long,” you sigh. “And I hadn’t seen you like this in a while.”
Now he’s confused. “Like what?”
“Not in a suit,” you muse, your eyes falling to his neck again. “I like your neck.”
You can see him holding back a laugh.
You glare at him playfully. “I said don’t make fun of me.”
“I’m not,” he promises, starting to smile. “You’re just cute.”
“Cute?”
“You just said you like my neck.”
“And?”
“That’s adorable.”
“Is it cute that I want to bite it?”
The confession falls from your lips before you can stop it. You’ve never understood how someone’s eyes can darken, but you see it now, in Aaron’s. The way his pupils dilate. His hands adjust on your hips, pulling you against him.
“You can,” he says, his voice low and dangerous.
“I can what?” you ask, though you know exactly what he means.
“Bite me.”
You blame how fast you move on the fact that it has been two weeks. That’s the only explanation for the way your body reacts, instantly surging forward to kiss and suck at his neck, and to finally bite.
Aaron pulls you up for a kiss after just a few seconds, and you try not to whine into his mouth.
“You’re insatiable,” he says against your lips.
“It’s been two weeks,” you argue, gasping when he nips at your bottom lip.
He smiles against your mouth. “Did you leave a mark?”
“On your neck?” He nods. “Do you want me to?” He nods again.
You grin this time as you lean in, returning to your favorite place. You kiss and lick to your heart’s content, eventually settling on the spot right behind his ear. It’s just inconspicuous enough for you to leave the tiniest of love bites there, sitting back after a moment to admire your work. The skin is red where the bruise is beginning to form, and you thumb over it.
Aaron, meanwhile, is staring at you with a heat you’ve never seen in his eyes before, his chest heaving. And when his hands tighten their grip on you, you feel just how hard he is underneath you.
When you go to circle your hips, he stops you. “Don’t.”
“Don’t?” you inquire, leaning in to press a teasing kiss to his lips. “All I did was bite your neck and you’re right on the edge, aren’t you?”
Aaron damn near whimpers against your mouth. “Maybe.”
“Do you think you could cum just from this?” you murmur, pressing your hips down and smirking when he doesn’t stop you. His fingers go slack against your hips, clearly using all of his energy to keep his orgasm at bay. “Do you want to try?”
He nods again and you capture his lips with yours, spreading your legs even wider to grind your core directly on him. The seam of your jeans gives just enough delicious friction to make you feel good, but you know you won’t climax from this. Aaron, however, only gets louder as he tries to keep himself together.s
“Come on,” you whisper, leaning down to kiss the other side of his neck. “Let go.” You sink your teeth into his neck just barely, right over his jugular vein, and you can feel him twitch even through the layers of clothes. He’s shuddering through it, his hands bolted to your hips and grinding you right where he needs you. It’s intoxicating.
You press one more loving kiss to his neck before lifting your head, then kissing his lips while his eyes remain closed. He opens them when you pull away, that fire still brewing.
“And here I was embarrassed to tell you that I had been staring at your neck all day because I wanted to bite it.”
“You can always bite me,” he says, pulling your face down for another kiss. “I’m about to devour you.”

hii my love, do u think u could do an Aaron pierre x reader in a couple's interview plss 🥺
pairings: aaron pierre x black reader
summary: Aaron and Y/N sit down for a couple’s interview, answering 30 questions that test their wit, patience, and love for each other. Playful banter, inside jokes, and stolen glances—this is them, unfiltered.
warnings: fluff, playful teasing, suggestive banter, excessive sweetness, and Aaron being absolutely smitten.
word count: 744
a/n: hi anon 🥰🥰 when i saw the ask, my initial thought was teyana and iman's gq interview so that was my inspo and i hope this was the kinda thing you were looking for and you like it !
Aaron Pierre & Y/N – 30 Questions with GQ
The video opens with Aaron and Y/N already settled on a plush couch, hands intertwined. A warm studio light casts a golden hue over them, and the energy between them is undeniable—easy, familiar, magnetic.
Aaron leans toward the camera with a lopsided grin. “So… we’re here to answer thirty questions about each other.”
Y/N chuckles, squeezing his hand. “Which means we’ll probably expose each other.”
Aaron hums, amused. “Oh, absolutely.”
Y/N smirks, looking directly at him. “You nervous?”
He pretends to think about it, then shakes his head. “Nah, I got you figured out.”
Y/N scoffs. “We’ll see about that.”
They turn to the camera, their hands still linked.
“Let’s get into it.”
Wholesome + Funny
Aaron picks up the first card. “Alright—who dies first in a horror movie?”
Y/N immediately points at him. “You.”
Aaron’s jaw drops. “Me? Nah, you gotta be kidding.”
She nods confidently. “Absolutely you. You’re the one whod go check a ‘mysterious noise’ in the middle of the night.”
Aaron gives her a look. “And you wouldn’t?”
Y/N shakes her head. “Nope. I’d be halfway down the road, sprinting.”
Aaron laughs, shaking his head. “Alright, fair. But I feel like—”
“Nope,” Y/N interrupts. “Gone. Vanished. No final girl monologue. Just out.”
Aaron sighs, reading the next question. “Who is most likely to finish the milk and not say anything?”
Y/N side-eyes him.
Aaron sighs, rubbing his temples. “Why are you looking at me?”
Y/N folds her arms. “Because it’s you, Aaron.”
Aaron drags a hand down his face. “It was one time.”
Y/N raises a brow. “One time?”
Aaron stifles a laugh. “A few times.”
Y/N turns to the camera. “Multiple. Times.”
Aaron grins. “But I make up for it in other ways.”
She narrows her eyes. “Mm-hmm. Let’s move on before you incriminate yourself further.”
Aaron clears his throat. “Next question—what’s my favourite protective style to see you in?”
Y/N tilts her head, already knowing the answer. “Knotless braids.”
Aaron nods, smiling. “Correct. But it’s specifically when you have ‘em fresh done. Edges laid. Scalp on display.”
Y/N grins. “You really are obsessed.”
Aaron leans in. “You have no idea.”
Y/N swallows, suddenly shy, then quickly changes the subject. “Next section!”
Playful + Cheeky
Y/N reads the next card. “Who made the first move?”
Aaron smirks. “Technically, you.”
Y/N gasps. “Absolutely not.”
Aaron shrugs. “You lingered when we hugged.”
Y/N groans, covering her face. “That is not making the first move.”
Aaron laughs. “It was a long linger. An intentional linger.”
Y/N huffs. “Whatever. Next question.”
Aaron picks up the next card. “Who apologises first after an argument?”
Y/N immediately says, “Me.”
Aaron laughs, nodding. “Yeah. And I love you for that.”
Y/N side-eyes him. “Mmm, because you’re stubborn.”
Aaron leans in, voice softer. “Because you’re patient with me.”
Y/N pauses, then nudges him playfully. “Whatever, next question.”
Aaron reads it aloud. “Who’s more likely to initiate…?”
Y/N cackles, shaking her head. “You already know it’s you.”
Aaron tilts his head. “But is that a complaint?”
Y/N shifts in her seat, suddenly flustered. “Next section!”
Aaron chuckles. “Mm-hmm.”
Deep + Romantic
Y/N picks up a card. “What’s your favourite thing about me?”
Aaron exhales, smiling. “The way you make me feel like home.”
Y/N blinks.
Aaron looks at her, earnest. “No matter where we are, if I’m with you, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.”
Y/N clears her throat. “That’s not fair.”
Aaron chuckles. “Your turn.”
Y/N looks at the card, then at him. “What’s something you’ve never told me?”
Aaron hesitates, then says, “Before we got together, I used to practice how I’d ask you out.”
Y/N laughs. “What?”
Aaron grins sheepishly. “I had, like… different scenarios. Different versions in my head. Some were smooth. Some were a disaster.”
Y/N shakes her head, smiling. “And which one did you end up using?”
Aaron chuckles. “None of ‘em. I panicked and just blurted it out.”
Y/N laughs, nudging him. “And look at us now.”
Aaron hums. “Look at us now.”
Final Question
Aaron picks up the last card. “What’s the one thing we’ll always have, no matter what?”
Y/N doesn’t hesitate. “Us.”
Aaron smiles, reaching for her hand.
Y/N intertwines their fingers. “No matter what happens, we’ll always have us.”
Aaron nods. “Damn right we will.”
The screen fades to black, leaving only the sound of their laughter lingering in the background.

For the sillies, I raise you Nicky Hemmick has a vine account. Stay with me
What he usually does is he just goes around and asks the monsters their opinion on pop culture stuff. And let's say for this post's sake that both vine and omegaverse was created earlier in the 2000s rather than the 2010s.
One day he posts a vine asking Kevin "are you an alpha, beta or omega?" And Kevin is like ???? "Like the greek alphabet? Probably a Kappa, since I'm Kevin" cut to a picture of Kevin from a photoshoot with the biggest celebrity smile on and the words 'KAPPA' and underneath in smaller letters 'he's Kevin'
Next victim is Aaron. Nicky asks, Aaron looks annoyedly at him and says "I'm ym", "What's ym?", "your mo-" video cuts to an edited picture of Aaron looking like he's pregnant next to a small Nicky (only Nicky hasn't used a baby picture, he's just shrank a picture of himself as an adult), caption reads "OMEGA"
Nicky gets brave so he goes and asks Andrew who is just minding his own business. Nicky asks the question and Andrew responds with "I'm carrying" and makes a move to take out a knife from his sleeve. Cut to a blurry photo of Nicky running for his life, Andrew in the distance with a sharp and shiny object in his hands, caption reads "We'll be right back with our regular programing"
Last vine from Nicky is Neil. He's fixing his racquet or sth, Nicky asks "Are you an alpha, Beta or omega?" "What?", Nicky repeats the question, Neil is obviously not paying attention so he says "the first one?" cut to an edited picture of Neil in a forest, the full moon behind him and 'ALPHA?' on screen.
Other teams start copying the trend, Cat post's a vine asking Jean the same question but it's Jean after practice, "is this one of your kink-" jump cut and we can hear Cat saying "Just answer the question". Jean looks deadeyed at her standing behind the camera "I am tired of your incomprehensible american lingo is what I am". Cut to a still of Jean, a cigarrete edited on his mouth and a beret on his head, and the word 'FRENCH' in cursive.
The vines go viral. No one is happier than Nicky and no one is more miserable than Kevin whose KAPPA , he's Kevin, reaches worldwide audiences.

the team meeting aaron's lawyer!wife who's personality is similar to his + she's the best in her field
Langston & Bell | [A.H]
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Lawyer wife!reader | WC: 1.2k | CW: Not really anything except for a little law jargon and mentions of a case the BAU is working on.
A/N: My brain hurts from looking up law terminology, and I'm not even sure if I used all the words correctly
The glass doors of Langston & Bell opened as Hotch led the rest of his team inside. The air felt heavy—as they entered—from the scent of freshly brewed coffee and a faint lemony aroma.
The firm itself was one of the most prestigious ones in all of Virginia, and its reputation suited it. Everything about the space was designed to impress—shining marble floors in the lobby, towering bookshelves filled with thick leather-bound volumes of law books and journals, and abstract art that screamed of a space aimed to do business with rich and pretentious people.
Emily glanced around, clearly trying to process how they’d ended up here. “Langston & Bell?” she muttered under her breath. “Isn’t this place out of our league?”
“They’re not dealing with criminal justice,” Spencer pointed out. “They specialize in corporate litigation and high-profile estate law. The firm is known for taking on cases that require absolute discretion.” Emily tried her best not to roll her eyes at Spencer's outburst of knowledge but failed.
Hotch didn’t respond, he kept his pace steady as he approached the front desk. His usual stone-faced demeanor was on full display, his features—although set not completely in a frown—were unreadable. He seemed unbothered by the hushed stares they received from the staff as they had entered with their badges held out in front of them.
The receptionist, a young woman with a straight posture and a sharp smile, greeted them. “Good afternoon. How may I assist you?”
Hotch stepped forward, his voice even. “We’re with the FBI. We’re looking for the attorney who handled the probate case for Samuel Larkin.”
The receptionist’s fingers danced quickly over her keyboard, her expression unchanged. “That would be Attorney Hotchner.”
Dead silence.
Emily blinked. “I’m sorry, did you say Hotchner?”
“Yes,” the receptionist replied, unfazed, almost on the brink of annoyance. “Would you like me to see if she’s available?”
“She,” Morgan echoed, his brows furrowing a little as his gaze flipped from the receptionist to Hotch.
Before anyone could recover from their shock, the sound of sharp heal clicks echoed through the lobby.
“Aaron,” came a clear voice from behind. “If this is your idea of surprising me, I’ll admit it’s more creative than flowers. But I have a deposition in thirty minutes.”
The team turned as one, their collective gazes landing on the woman who had just entered the room. You were dressed in a tailored navy suit that emphasized your poised demeanor. Your expression was both curious and faintly amused as your eyes locked on Hotch.
“Counselor,” he greeted smoothly, his tone carrying a subtle warmth that the team rarely heard.
“Counselor?” Rossi asked, a slow grin forming as his gaze flicked between you and Hotch.
Your lips quirked up in a small smile as you approached, your heels clicking against the marble with each step. “I assume this is your team?”
“It is,” Hotch confirmed.
You turned your attention to the group, giving them a brief once-over with an expression that wasn’t unkind but clearly measured. “Well, where are my manners? I’m Y/N Hotchner, senior litigation partner here at Langston & Bell. And yes, I can see the wheels turning in all your heads.”
Morgan crossed his arms, already grinning. “Oh, I’ve got a lot of questions right now.”
You raised an eyebrow, unfazed. “Feel free to ask them, Agent Morgan. I’ve been cross-examined by some of the sharpest minds in the country—I’m sure I can handle you.”
JJ stepped forward, clearly trying to keep her surprise in check. “Wait, you’re married?”
You tilted your head toward Hotch, your expression softening just a fraction. “You didn’t tell them?”
“It never came up,” Hotch replied with a shrug, though the faint glimmer of amusement in his eyes didn’t escape you.
You shook your head, exhaling a soft laugh. “Aaron’s great at compartmentalizing, isn’t he? Well, to officially answer your question—yes, I’m his wife. And judging by your expressions, this is news to you.”
“Big news,” Emily muttered, still processing.
Hotch cleared his throat, subtly redirecting the conversation. “We need access to the probate records for Samuel Larkin. Anything that might help us build our case.”
Your demeanor shifted instantly, professionalism overtaking the playful edge. “Aaron, you know I can’t just hand over client information without a court order.”
“We’re only asking for publicly available records,” he clarified.
You studied him for a moment, a silent exchange passing between you. Then you turned to your assistant, who stood nearby. “Jane, pull the Larkin docket and bring me all publicly filed documents. Annotate them if you have time, and leave them on my desk before your shift ends.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Jane replied, already moving toward the elevator.
“You always find a way around the rules,” Hotch said, his voice was low but carrying a note of fondness.
“And you love that about me,” you shot back with a wink, your eyes glinting with mischief.
Morgan leaned closer to Emily, his voice just loud enough for her to hear. “I don’t know what’s more surprising—the fact that he’s married, the fact that she's a lawyer, or the fact that she might be scarier than him.”
Although Jane hadn't gone through the records yet, she sent you a digital copy as soon as she had found them. You walked the team through them with ease. Every legal term you used was calculated, giving away as little about your client as you could, while still helping your husband and his team. You made sure to translate every dense legal jargon into actionable insights every time you saw one of their faces pull an expression.
“Here,” you said, pointing to a transaction on the financial statement. “These wire transfers are from an offshore account linked to Larkin. It’s not evidence of criminal activity, but it raises enough red flags to warrant further investigation.” If Larkin found out you had helped the feds, you could be in big trouble, you thought as you revealed the account.
Spencer leaned in, his eyes lighting up with understanding. “If we trace the accounts, we might uncover a connection to our unsub.”
“Precisely,” you replied, offering him a small nod of approval.
By the time the team wrapped up, they had everything they needed to move forward. As they gathered their materials, you leaned against the edge of the table, folding your arms as you looked at Hotch.
“Dinner at seven?” you asked, your voice softer, the edge of professionalism giving way to something more personal.
“Seven,” he confirmed, his tone lighter than usual.
You smiled, leaning in just enough to lower your voice. “Try not to scare anyone off before then, okay?”
“No promises,” he replied, his lips twitching upward in the faintest of smiles.
As the team exited the building, Morgan shook his head in disbelief. “She is definitely scarier than Hotch”
Emily grinned. “I think I like her better.”
“I like her too,” Rossi added with a chuckle.
Hotch walked ahead, the faint smile still playing on his lips, but he didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to. The team had seen enough to know he’d married his perfect match—an equal who could still challenge him enough to keep him on his toes.

Hotch thought.
reader riding him in the middle of the night because they’re both so needy
he’s got one hand on your hip and one hand lovingly cradling the back of your neck to pull you into a kiss (one that always ends up with him chasing after your lips when you pull away to breathe, a tender, playful smile on his lips) and he’s not that vocal but he does let out soft, breathy little groans from time to time— his breathing is the most telling part of him when you’re having sex because it’ll hitch or be cut in a little half gasp or he’ll exhale shakily through his nose, eyelids fluttering and lashes kissing the apples of his cheeks. he’s also the type that just needs to kiss whatever part of you is closest to him; your cheek, your temple, your nose, your shoulder, your jaw, and also your chin (for some reason he really likes kissing your chin. you asked him why once and he just said he thinks it’s cute for some reason. don’t question him. so now you also kiss his chin <3)
you do have to be quiet though (unless you’re in your apartment and not his) because hotch’s greatest fear and biggest nightmare is jack potentially hearing the two of you and asking questions. the thought makes him want to crawl into a ditch and stay there forever

“What we know so far is that the unsub is male, most likely in his mid to late thirties. He lives a very ordinary life,” you say, glancing around the room as you deliver your profile. Your eyes lock briefly with Aaron’s, who gives a subtle nod of encouragement. “He was subject to bullying in high school, likely due to being socially awkward or standing out in some way. This has led to deep-seated insecurities and an inability to maintain long-term relationships. His current behaviour indicates an attempt to regain control and dominance he feels he was deprived of.”
As you continue with your analysis, movement in the corner of the room draws your attention. An officer leans toward his companion, muttering something under his breath that earns a chuckle. His eyes drag over you with an unprofessional intensity, and his smirk lingers, making your stomach churn with unease. You furrow your brows slightly but push the distraction aside, refocusing on the case at hand.
The meeting stretches on, but finally, it concludes. Your fellow agents begin filtering out of the room, exchanging quiet remarks as they leave, while the remaining officers follow suit. You stay behind, methodically removing photos and notes from the whiteboard, organizing them into a neat stack.
The sound of your heels tapping against the floor fills the empty space as you turn, only to pull up short when you nearly collide with someone. Your pulse stutters as you recognise the same officer from before, standing too close, his expression dark with something you can’t quite place.
“Oh! I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise anyone was still here,” you say, stepping back instinctively.
He doesn’t budge. Instead, his lips curl into a sneer. “So, who are you filling in for today?”
Your frown deepens. “I’m not sure what you mean, sir. This is my job.”
His eyes narrow, and he takes a deliberate step forward, forcing you back against the whiteboard. “You don’t have to be so coy, doll,” he says, voice dripping with condescension. “Come on, who’d you suck off to get here?”
The crude words hit you like a slap. Your breath hitches, and you instinctively press your palms flat against the board behind you, trying to create distance. “Sir, I’m not sure this is an appropriate discussion to be having,” you say, voice tightening, your eyes darting toward the door.
Before you can react further, a sudden movement to your left makes you start. A firm hand grips the officer’s shoulder and wrenches him backward with force. “That’s enough,” Aaron’s voice slices through the tension like a knife.
The officer stumbles slightly but rights himself, his face twisting in surprise and then indignation as he looks up at Aaron’s imposing figure. Aaron steps forward, placing himself between you and the officer, his dark eyes cold and unwavering.
“What the hell, man—” the officer starts, straightening his shoulders.
“You’re done here,” Aaron interrupts, his voice calm but lethal. “If I ever see you speak to anyone on my team like that again, you’ll be answering to much more than just me. Is that clear?”
The officer’s mouth opens and closes, but the weight of Aaron’s glare pins him in place. He mutters something under his breath before turning on his heel and stalking out of the room.
As the door swings shut behind him, you exhale a shaky breath, still pressed against the board. Aaron turns to you, his expression softening slightly. “Are you okay?”
You nod, though your hands are trembling slightly at your sides. “Yeah... Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.”
Aaron studies you for a moment longer, his dark eyes searching yours with a tenderness that makes your breath hitch. He steps closer, his voice soft but firm. “You could have come and got me.”
You swallow hard, your chest tightening at the sincerity in his words. “I know,” you whisper, offering him a small, tired smile. “I just... I didn’t want to make it a big deal.”
Aaron’s expression darkens slightly, a flicker of frustration crossing his face—not at you, but at the situation. He shakes his head gently. “It is a big deal. You shouldn’t have to brush it off.”
You open your mouth to protest, but he’s already reaching for you, his hand resting at the small of your back, guiding you out of the precinct without another word.
Aaron’s hand remained steady on your back as he guided you outside, the crisp night air rushing to meet you. It was quiet here, the hum of the precinct fading into the background, leaving only the sound of your uneven breathing and the faint rustle of leaves in the distance. He stopped near the corner of the building, turning to face you fully. His hands moved to your upper arms, grounding you in his presence.
“Talk to me,” Aaron said gently, his voice breaking through the haze of doubt clouding your mind.
You shook your head, biting the inside of your cheek to keep the frustration—or was it shame?—from bubbling over. “I’m fine,” you lied, forcing the words out even though you could feel them falling flat. “I just need to move on. It’s not worth—”
“Stop.” His tone was calm but firm, and it made you look up at him, your eyes meeting his. There was no anger there, no disappointment—only concern and something else you couldn’t quite name. “It is worth talking about. You are worth talking about.”
The lump in your throat grew, and you looked away, your gaze fixing on a crack in the pavement. “I shouldn’t let it get to me,” you murmured. “But… maybe he’s right.”
Aaron’s brows knit together, his hands tightening slightly on your arms. “What are you talking about?”
You shrugged, trying to swallow down the sting of the words that had been hurled at you back in the conference room. “Maybe I’m not good enough to be here,” you admitted quietly. “Maybe I’m just pretending I belong. I mean, if people like him think I’m a joke, what if they’re right?”
The silence that followed felt heavier than anything he could have said. When you finally looked back at Aaron, his expression was resolute, his dark eyes locking onto yours with unwavering intensity.
“They’re not right,” he said, each word deliberate. “And you know that.”
You opened your mouth to protest, but he stepped closer, his hands moving to cradle your face with a gentleness that made your chest ache. “You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t good enough,” he continued, his voice steady but edged with something close to frustration. “You’ve earned your place, and no one—no one—has the right to question that.”
The tears you’d been holding back threatened to spill over, but you bit them down, shaking your head slightly. “It’s hard not to question myself when people like him look at me like I don’t belong.”
Aaron exhaled slowly, his thumbs brushing against your cheeks. “People like him don’t matter,” he said softly. “You do. Your work speaks for itself, and anyone who can’t see that isn’t worth your time.”
Your hands came up to grip his wrists, grounding yourself in the warmth of his touch. “It’s just… exhausting,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “Having to prove myself over and over again. Sometimes it feels like no matter what I do, it’ll never be enough.”
Aaron’s face softened, and he leaned down slightly, his forehead resting against yours. “I know it’s exhausting,” he murmured. “And I wish I could take that weight off your shoulders. But you’re not alone in this. You have me. You have the team. We see you, and we know exactly what you’re capable of.”
You closed your eyes, letting his words sink in, letting the steady cadence of his voice soothe the storm inside you. After a long moment, you nodded, your grip on his wrists loosening. “Thank you,” you said quietly. “I… I needed to hear that.”
Aaron pulled back just enough to meet your eyes again, his expression softening even further. “You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for,” he said, his voice filled with quiet conviction. Then, without warning, he leaned in and kissed you, his lips warm and reassuring against yours. It wasn’t hurried or forceful—it was steady, grounding, a promise in itself.
When he finally pulls away, his eyes search yours, as if silently making sure you’re really okay. “I’ll always be here,” he promises softly.
You smile, a real one this time, feeling lighter than you have all day. “I know.”
Aaron presses another kiss to your forehead, lingering there for a moment before wrapping his arms around you, holding you tightly against his chest. You sink into him, letting yourself feel safe, letting yourself believe that with him, you’re never alone.
“Let’s go home,” he murmurs against your hair.
“Yeah,” you whisper, lacing your fingers with his. “Home sounds perfect.”
He squeezes your hand gently, leading you to the car, his presence a steady, comforting weight beside you. And in this moment, you know you’re exactly where you belong.
