Cozy day.
If I ever sound frantic on my socials and the updates, it’s the old copywriter in me from my advertising adventure days.
That and I am just an excitable person.
The reality is slow, methodical, crafting of Halloween art.
Lots of math and testing — paper is sold in specific sizes, the post office has specific rules, printing presses operate in the wild spaces at the edges of reason and madness. All a big puzzle.
I admit I do drink too much coffee, those sign offs are true to life (laugh)
I think my former ad days have gotten the better part of my updates lately, so wanted set the record.
Over the next week and a half I will be sending a ton of artwork out for production and when it arrives then I will tinker with the website — one last review to make sure the cobwebs are in place and the jack-o-lanterns have fresh candles and the cauldrons are bubbling as they should — then I flip the switch and the front office goes online.
Then I turn back to my drawing desk or writing corner and resume. Slow and steady.
I am at least a year behind letter answering because I keep having this grand idea of using shop wares for responses.
There are a dozen in progress blog posts surrounding the learnings of this quasi-important rule.
Having a thoughtful day.
I swap back and forth between “writing day” and “art day” and the crepuscular thoughts creep in.
