WARNING : I'm just an addict ... addicted to music. There are people who are born to make music, o8 thers are born to hearing. Whenever was part of this second group. Maybe it's. a habit, I gotta use, even if it 's rock, jazz or the quiet storm. Great pictures of the things I love - music, painting, books, photography, architecture, design, women, and more. I love music more than lasagna. Better to burn out than fade away. The older you get, the better life gets. But time also seems to be accelerating, the clock running too fast. So, looking at those early days, everything is very slow, stretched, and great significance. The most recent time, I spent busy with simple things.People think rock and roll is only about teenage rebellion, but why can not exist old rebel too? 2019 Monster Energy Super Cross, Race 10 @ Daytona
This Saturday was Race 10 at Daytona. This  Race had a couple of stand outs that had been expected to do good. Chad Reed on the 22 said that his bike was feeling good after getting the suspension dialed. Ken Roczen as well was confident in his riding. Over all there were many stars shining in qualifying like, Marvin Musquin, Blake Bagget, and Cooper Webb.
The way super cross works is that there is a race every weekend, and almost every race is the same in terms of rules. The 250 class has two different divisions, East and West. The 450 class on the other hand only has one division. Each class will go through qualifying first. All the top qualifiers will then move on. There are 2 Heat races for each class, the top 9 in each will move on to the Main Event. Everyone else will move to the Last Chance Qualifier, the top 4 in the LCQ will also move on to the Main Event. There is also a point system for the winners, First place gets 26, Second 23, Third 21, Fourth 19, Fifth 18, etc.
Tumblr media
Me personally, I am on the Web Wagon who is in the lead for points in the 450 class, which is why he has the red number plate. As for the 250 West Class, my go to pick is Adam Cianciarulo and in the East my pick is Austin Forkner. Both of the 250 riders I am rooting for race for ‘Team Green’ which is the Kawasaki Factory race team. In the 450 class I can not really say who I go for since they all have their ups and downs but my top 3 are Cooper Webb, Marvin Musquin, and Eli Tomac. One person that was expected to do good was Ken Roczen on the 94 which you can see in the background of this picture.
Tumblr media
Earlier in 2018 Ken Roczen had gotten into a crash with Cooper Webb when he was racing with Yamaha. His arm had gotten caught into the back of Cooper’s Bike and cut him up and had done some further internal damage leading to a surgery. So for Roczen to come back so strong was really good for him. Although in this weekends race he had gotten caught up in the back in the first turn of the Main Event and went down, he sadly was not able to make it back from 21st to a solid position.
Tumblr media
The Race in the 250 class was as expected with Austin Forkner coming in first, Chase Sexton in second, and Justin Cooper in third. The Point Standings after this race where, 1st Austin Forkner, 2nd Justin Cooper, 3rd Chase Sexton, the top three pretty much stayed in their point positions. The 450 Class Results where, Eli Tomac in first, Cooper Webb in second, and Marvin Musquin in third. The point standings after this race stayed almost the same with Eli Tomac over taking Marvin Musquin, 1st Cooper Webb, 2nd Eli Tomac, 3rd Marvin Musquin.
Overall this race was a very exciting race especially in the 450 class. The race itself is one of the biggest right behind the Las Vegas championship. The Daytona Track has 3 different dirt types, Beach Sand, Red Clay Dirt, Regular West coast dirt. The Track itself is pretty technically, especially the sand section which was a struggle for Marvin Musquin in the last lap.
Come back next week for a surprise blog post

Professional Shorthand Typing Course O3035530865 for Boys & Girls – Rawalpindi
Tumblr media
Professional Shorthand Typing Course O3035530865 for Boys & Girls – Rawalpindi Personal Shorthand, originally known as Briefhand in the 1950s, is a completely alphabetic shorthand. There are three basic categories of written shorthand. Best known are puresymbol (stenographic) shorthand systems (e.g., Gregg, Pitman). Because the complexity of symbol shorthands made them time-consuming to learn, a variety of newer, alphabetic shorthands were created, with the goal of being easier to learn– e.g., Speedwriting, Stenoscript, Stenospeed, and Forkner shorthand. These systems used normally written letters of the alphabet, but also some number of symbols, alphabetic characters changed in shape or position, or special marks for punctuation; and so they are more accurately described as hybrid shorthand systems. In contrast, Personal Shorthand uses only the 26 letters of the alphabet, without any special symbols, positioning, or punctuation, and it can therefore be written cursively, printed, typed, or even entered in a computer without special typefaces or graphics. Given years of practice, symbol shorthand writers could sometimes acquire skills of 150 or even 200 words per minute, which might have qualified them for demanding positions such as court reporting, typically dominated today by machine shorthands. Due to the extensive time necessary, few achieved such a level. Most symbol shorthand writers in secretarial positions wrote between 80 and 140 words per minute. Hybrid shorthand systems with higher symbol content generally could be written faster than those with fewer symbols. In common with most hybrid shorthands, Personal Shorthand cannot be written as fast as symbol shorthands. However, like some hybrids, learning time is drastically reduced. Students of Personal Shorthand can acquire a useful shorthand skill (50 to 60 wpm) in a single school term, compared to the year or more for symbol system students to reach that same level. Without the complexity of symbols to memorize and practice writing, Personal Shorthand theory is relatively simple. There are six Theory Rules. Slightly more than a hundred high-frequency business vocabulary words are represented by a single written letter known as a Brief Form ("a" for "about", "t" for "time", "v" for "very", etc.). High-frequency letter groupings within words ("g" for "-ing", "s" for "-tion", etc.), known as Phonetic Abbreviations, are also written with a single letter. In most Personal Shorthand textbooks, the entire Theory is presented in just ten lessons, after which review and practice can lead to writing speeds of 60 to 100 words per minute. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Feld’s purchase of the motorsports division, which changed the course of global brands, Monster Jam, and Supercross, leading to extraordinary growth in a time when traditional sports have struggled with attendance and TV ratings.
“We are proud to launch the new Supercross identity as we mark the 10th anniversary of stewarding the brand,” said Vicki Silver, Chief Marketing Officer for Feld Entertainment. “We have refreshed our logo and identity system to reflect what Supercross is today and to symbolize its future. The new world championship Supercross logo features distinct forward-leaning letters, which embody the momentum of the sport, the energy of the live experience, and the riders readying for the gate drop. Supercross is world-renowned, and this logo was strategically chosen to carve out a visual identity while continuing to raise the bar and elevate the sport.”

How the 2017 Motorcross/Supercoss will turn out in my eyes.
Is this the year that Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki finally returns to its dominating form?!?!? I am more of a Honda but seeing from the wins coming from the Kawi team, things seem to be going good for team green. The only downside is the fact that Adam Cianciarulo, Austin Forkner, Joey Savatgy, and Justin Hill don’t have a championship to their name…. At least not yet. These have showed that they can win races, but haven’t been able to get the job done by making little mistakes in their runs here and there. For me, I’ll give Forkner a pass because he’s only been in one series and he finished fourth overall in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, not to bad i should say. Forkner showed potential and won two motos and an overall. I think if anyone has a series chance of taking over the 250 class it’s possibly the young rookie, but will he have mistakes in supercross, i mean like motocross and supercross are two different things? Also, it’s a make it or break it year for Cianciarulo. If he doesn’t do well this season then he will be looking for a new ride and a rebirth of sorts for his career. Talk about a no pressure, sheesh.
The Yamaha squad has been through a lot of changes this offseason. The team no longer has the star power of Cooper Webb nor Alex and Jeremy Martin because they moved to a different race team... (#HondaFTW). They are instead relying on Aaron Plessinger to take over the reigns as a title winner and he could possibly do just that. The problem is that this team lacks depth. It’s going to be a change in power for the boys in blue who have dominated this class the past few years.
Now here we have a team that I can see winning a few 250 titles in 2017 and some other races ahead. We’ve got Christian Craig and Jeremy Martin on deck to blow everyone out of the water in the East and West Regions. Martin will also be looking to take back his 250MX moto crown next summer too. Behind these two guys we have veteran Jimmy Decotis and a make it or break it season for RJ Hampshire and his team. Rookie Chase Sexton already broke both of his wrists (ouch) and will still make it in time for the East Region. Other than  Pro Circuit, this team looks the best on paper and it’ll be interesting to see who exactly steps up and fills the void left behind by Webb and Stewart in the class.

Gearlust: KAPA Continental
One of the more iconic guitars available for studio users would be the KAPA Continental, or "Falcon" guitar, permanently emblazoned in the minds of Dub Narcotic Sound System fans everywhere. A guitar so quintessentially Dub Narcotic Studio - Olympia, Wash 98501, perhaps more than any other piece of equipment in the studio. This fixture has been in house for over 25 years, and recently underwent a fresh tune up.
Calvin says:
This is what they call a house-brand for Veneman’s music which is a music store in the D.C. Area. It’s a KAPA Continental, KAPA is the brand that is made specifically for Veneman’s music, in Edmonston, MD. It’s an unusual guitar in that it’s very regional. Only people in the D.C. area would have this guitar. The reason I have this guitar is in September of 1989, the Go Team were playing a show at a place called D.C. Space, and another guitar of mine, the Kay guitar, broke. There was a guy at the show named Mitch Parker from the band Crippled Pilgrims, and he said “Hey! I’ve got a guitar you can have!” because I was in the middle of a tour and the [Kay] guitar had broken in half. While we were packing up the drums he went home because he just lived a couple of blocks away and got this guitar, and brought it for me.
That tour ended prematurely when the van - it was the first automobile I had owned, a red Ford Falcon van (‘65); threw a rod, as they say. So we realized it wasn’t going to be practical for the band to continue in the van. What seemed more practical was to strip the van of anything useful, including license plates and anything that might identify us, and just leave it on the side of the freeway. So that’s what we did, or what I did; and in stripping the van I stripped off this Falcon logo, and when I got back to where we were staying (in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. with the band Love Child) I slammed it on the guitar. People often refer to this guitar as "the Falcon". Everyone’s played it. When I first acquired it I played it for the rest of that tour, which was about a week before the van died. And then it came back to Olympia and it wasn’t used as much for a few years. I had Paul Schuster, who was in a few different bands on K including Some Velvet Sidewalk, P.E.Z., Internal/External, and also worked at the guitar shop, Moon Music, down the street fix it up. He altered it considerable to make it playable, the neck was a little bit warped and a few other things that he was able to straighten out. So then after that it was more useful, I played it a lot in Dub Narcotic Sound System and then lots of people have used it in sessions. I know that Adam Forkner played it many times and he was on every record. He played with Little Wings, Dub Narcotic Sound System, The Microphones, Mirah, I don’t even know. Yume Bitsu was his band that he originally recorded on K, then White Rainbow and [[VVRSSNN]]. Oh, and Beat Happening played this guitar. In ‘89, at the end of that year just 3 months after I got this guitar we played a show at the Paramount Theater sponsored by the Rocket magazine called Nine for the '90s. It was nine bands that were going to make the'90s the decade and we were for some reason chosen. Bret liked this guitar so he played it, and at one point, I don’t remember what song it was, but in playing he hit the switches and turned off the pickups. Heather and I just kept going so it was like acapella with drums, and he was like “What’s wrong?” but he didn’t know because he’d never played this guitar before. Eventually he figured it out and he turned it on. He just happened to turn it on at a very dramatic moment, it seemed like he did it on purpose, like as far as the audience knew it was just a part of the song. It was like the guitar drops out, and then it came right in right at this part that seemed like it was where the guitar would come back in. So the audience was just like ‘YEAHHHH!” It was crazy, because I’d never played a show so big and I hadn’t experienced the crowd mentality that you get at a larger show. The response was funny, but it was exciting. There’s a photo of him playing that guitar inside the album cover of Music to Climb the Apple Trees by [KLP109]. That’s where this guitar came from. We’ve had it for 25 years and it’s still going.
Get in touch and come play it: [email protected] - Mike
