I think the scenes with the van and the episode with this abandoned house in Ed, Edd n Eddy are what sparked my love for urbex before I knew it was a thing. Hell, the level in The Mis-Edventures that was based on the house in Honor Thy Eds was one of my favorites! Abandoned places fascinated me as a teenager and adamthewoo’s videos were a favorite of mine since 2010. I tried to work that fascination into quite a bit of my writing in my high school years; it was always some abandoned place that was plot-important in some way. (I feel like ancient ruins count, by extension.)

And I really did like that shamelessly 70s van. I still do.

Has anyone out there actually done a RT 66 trip?  My mom and I are talking about doing one next April.  From Chicago to LA with a couple days in LA tacked on the end because we want to do Disneyland and Universal Hollywood and the WB tour.  Do you guys have any tips or tricks?  How much did you end up spending?  How in depth did you research your route?  How long did you set aside?  Did you actually make reservations or did you just wing it?  Let’s talk!
