I just have to say I LOVE the Instant Synchronised Murder Faces that Fai and Kurogane are whipping out any time anything even slightly unusual happens. It’s EXTREMELY warranted for where they are, and also just slightly hilarious whenever it’s like… a door opening. 

BUT INSTANT SYNCHRONISED MURDER FACES I SHALL HAVE!

I suppose you could say the giant doors they had to open in Koryo were the tiniest bit foreshadowing this moment. Oh it’s even the same battle party too! Sakura didn’t come with them that time either, so it was just the four of them storming a giant forbidding castle controlled by an evil wizard who was watching them magically from a distance.

If there is acid anywhere inside the ruinsI’m allowed to start yelling. 

Oh! Also! In Koryo the inside corridor of the castle had a repeating hallway - kind of like a time loop, but a far simpler one. And when they visited the Memory version of the Clow Ruins in Recourt the hallways also randomly changed in size and shape, as if time and space were unstable - which is far more relevant now than it ever was before.

I can't believe they've done this.

for the longest time i thought PB had a bunch of episodes full of childhood shenanigans, i thought that in What Was Missing, the episode where everyone gets their precious things stolen and Marceline sings I'm Just Your Problem, this big memorable episode, i thought PB is still 13, and when i got to it, i thought, are the episodes out of order? but turns out. i misremembered her being 13 there. because she had her hair up. and that kinda looks like the short hair she had as a kid. 🤦

LOL. We're accosted by a guard IMMEDIATELY upon leaving the room:

Narrator: Minthara is supposed to be in a cell. You have some explaining to do.

Tragically, there's no option to resolve this conversation by telling the guy his hat looks stupid. However, there is a satisfying intimidation option instead:

[INTIMIDATION] "Minthara's been released - and that frees up a cell for people like you who challenge their betters."

Narrator: You avoided a fight this time, but bullying your way out of Moonrise is a risky proposition.

XD The Narrator is a little done with Rakha's bullshit apparently.

Minthara was impressed though. "You do have a way with words."

Taking the narrator's advice, though, we yeet ourselves out the side basement door rather than trying to take Minthara upstairs, and release her out into the darkness to go back to camp.

Narrator: The artifact connects with her, pulling your minds together and showing her all that you have seen. The Prism, your dream visitor, the protection that keeps you from obeying the Absolute and becoming illithid. She knows it all in a moment.

Narrator: Her mind reels but is no longer clouded. She accepts the truth. She has no choice.

As usual, the parasite displays eminent utility as an exposition expedient. Minthara, to her credit, takes this more or less calmly.

"There is much we must discuss. Do you have a safe place to camp nearby?"

Tell her where to find your camp.

Surprisingly enough, Shadowheart approves here! Not entirely sure I expected that.

And then we vwoop off immediately for a long rest because apparently Minthara wanders off into the dark and takes damage if you don't go straight to camp. XD
