Tag Five People You Want to Get to Know Better
Originally I need to tag nine people, but unfortunately, I only tagged five because I don't have that many moots.
Thanks for the tag, @glitternightingale! Sorry, it took so long!
Fav color: Blue (and more recently, emerald green!)
Currently reading: Komi Can't Communicate by Tomohito Oda
Last song: Tattoo (Remix) by Rauw Alejandro and Camilo
Last series: The Way of the Hot and Spicy
Last movie: Sonic 2...I don't always watch movies.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Spicy-Savory forever.
Currently working on: My WIPS (fics/fanart) & work-related creative projects. Speaking of which, I need to start writing Act II of Tacones Rojos.
Tagging: @neon-green-eyes, @dmmaws, @azucareraart, @waitingonavision, @lunamadrigal

Nine people you would like to get to know better
Tagged by @flingsky
I don’t have enough people for nine but I’ll tag @corpseshadow @touyea @sinonlesbiantruther @rinkara @aeoneris @the-squid-lesbian and @skelal and leave it at that for now. I’m not a huge ship kinda person but I’ll throw those parts in here anyway.
Three ships
Irina/Sharon (Xenoblade X) - I’m sorry but it’s real and nothing will change my mind. I’m now disallowing myself any more Xeno- ships because that would be too easy.
Akeha/Gayle (NieR) - Yoko Taro please let these women get therapy together it would be so good for them. Also they should spar it would be beneficial I think.
Hegemone/Agdistis (FFXIV) - Coworkers in an office building they probably have to live in. Things are going to happen and I think they would get along well.
First ship
Really hard to say tbh, as said before was never much of a shipper. I think the first one I was ever made aware of was Hilda/N from Pokemon BW, since one of the first fanfics I ever read was under that category (though given I’m transfem and N is great autistic rep I think I can explain the interest with hindsight)
Last song
Impossible to answer. I listen to parts my library pretty much daily and it depends on what part of my hyperfixation cycle I’m in. I don’t remember atm, but right now it’s either Hearing Things (Armoured Core 6), Ascension (FFXVI), or Dancing With The Source (Divinity 2), specifically the Tambura version.
Last movie
Another one I don’t remember specifically, but I rewatched Hot Fuzz (2007) a couple of weeks ago, and beyond that I cleared out Gravity (2013) from my to-watch list earlier in the year.
Currently reading
I’m keeping up with webcomics like Mage & Demon Queen, and fics I’ve found over the recent months, but I’m currently reading a 750k word 160 chapter monster of a GoT fic called The Wierwood Queen.
Currently watching
I’m keeping up with the anime adaption of Bleach TYBW as it comes out, but nothing else beyond that.
Currently consuming
I was eating chocolate cookie ice cream a few hours ago. Beyond that, I don’t remember what I ate today.
Currently craving
Physical contact with close friends and my gf, because I am a lonely sapphic who went to local pride over the weekend and now want to hug my friends.

f/o asks to rile y’all up - 2, 3 and 10 please!
Hi @neon-green-eyes! Thanks for asking 💚
#2: on what do you disagree with other fans of your f/o
OHHHH...people are going to hate me for this! Characters are not automatically neurodivergent or LGBTQA+. People resonate with my f/o in different ways and that's great, but what I can't accept is people treating it as if it's canon. Worse, they will get mad at you if you say otherwise. I'm sure I'm not the first one who has that kind of frustration with the rest of the fandom. They're not canon-canon, they're headcanons...so don't treat it as fact and force it down other people's throats! Unless the creators confirm it, keep it.
#3: did you used to ship your f/o with anyone before realizing you wanted to ship them with yourself?
Depends on which f/o from a specific fandom. Some are obvious pairings and I can't help but ship them with their supposed partner (anyway, I do cosplay, so I can BE their pair hehe). For Encanto, however...Bruno is too good to ship with anyone else. From the very beginning, I shipped him with me (aka Gabriela Álvarez)!
#10: how did you feel when you realized “oh of course I had to like That Character”?
I wasn't that surprised! My taste in IRL men carries over to my taste in f/os as well. It's usually one of three types: ambitious, emotionally detached men (Jumin Han, Kambe Daisuke), wild bad boys (Goro Majima), or the awkward, sweet bb (Bruno Madrigal). Yeah, something about the disheveled look and fumbling mess got me. Bonus point: all of them are hilarious and would probably look good with glasses. And...I prefer men older than I am anyway 😉

14. 3 professions that you would like to try 👀
Oooh, this is tough, @unskilled-dabbler! But if I had to pick, it would be:
Conservator-restorer - the nerd in me loves watching old books and paintings getting cleaned and repaired and back to their former glory. It's highly specialized and does require certain key knowledge in the arts and sciences (most notably, CHEMISTRY). I find cultural history so fascinating, and I believe in preserving it for future generations to appreciate. It also needs to be done correctly, or else this happens:
Tumblr media
RIP OG Ecce Homo, you're now a meme.
Bartender - I don't drink often. I'm not at the bars and clubs every weekend. I do, however surprising, have a higher tolerance for alcohol compared to the average social drinker. This profession speaks to my creativity and despite having to interact with people (UGH), it's still something I'd like to try my hand at. Not every bartender is a good one though. YES, there is such a thing as bad drinks. By the way, my favorite cocktail is a Mojito!
Voice Acting - Again, a recurring theme of wanting to try out creative and unique professions here. This, I believe, is an underrated and unappreciated type of acting, and one that I would jump at the opportunity to do if given the chance. It's so integral to several forms of media we consume, like animated movies/series and video games. And, yes, I'd like to be like Tara Strong or Laura Bailey for a day.

Weird questions: 10
Hello and thank you for asking, @unskilled-dabbler!
#10: Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you?
I would say yes, and while they don't haunt my dreams or thoughts all the time, they stuck with me. There are four books: three of them were originally just required school readings, and one I read as an adult. I resonated with them all. Those books are:
Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan;
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom;
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom; and
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne.
Yes, I know the last one is a chick-lit, but bear with me, I had a love-hate relationship with someone from work and we acted the same way. We still work in the same office, but we didn't end up like the one in the book! 😂 It's my guilty pleasure now when I want something easy to read.
As for my own writing? OH, I HAVE TONS! To me, it feels like suddenly waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat because I remember that one WIP from XX years that was CRINGE. That's how my writings haunt me...and they never leave because I, unfortunately, have copies in Google Drive 💀 There's no way I'm going to go back to them, but I can't bring myself to part with it either!

9. 3 things you like doing on a rainy day 🌧️
Hello again, @unskilled-dabbler! Right timing, it's the start of the rainy season here again. In fact, we're expecting a few typhoons coming our way in the next months.
#1 - Have something warm, usually soup. I cook a lot of soups because it's honestly one of my favorite things to eat. I'm convinced that we Filipinos would survive hell or something because we'll gladly consume hot liquids even in the middle of a scorching summer's day. Soup when it rains, though...perfection!
My favorite soup of all time is Sopas (Creamy macaroni soup). The way my family makes it only includes ground pork, carrots, shredded chicken, and ham, but others make theirs with cabbage and red hotdogs...even corned beef! The closest version I can find online that's similar to our recipe is here, if you'd like to give it a try.
#2 - Do something creative like crochet or watercolor painting. I used to read during rainy days, but since I don't own hardcopy books anymore (just digital ones), I find that it hurts my eyes after a long while. I prefer doing things that don't require a screen. It's calming to do rows and rows of stitches for hours or strokes on paper. I'm relaxed with something nice for myself!
#3 - Sleep. I mean, what else is there to do? Rain makes the air cool. I'll put on some calming jazz/bossa nova lounge music then wake up about an hour later very refreshed or 5 hours later with no idea how I got here...

F/o asks #11
Good question, @unskilled-dabbler!
#11: do you think it’s better to have a copious amount of content for your f/o, even with the risk of finding a lot of ship art, or better to have a lot less? Controversial thoughts - it's a slippery slope. I love that there are a lot...and I mean A LOT of fan content around my current f/o. BUT here is where it gets tricky...we all know that some are LESS THAN SAVORY. It's unavoidable because the internet is filled with sick and twisted minds. I wish there is a way to smite the ones who are destroying the good name of the fandom with their disgusting perversions.
In short: YES, really better to have good content. I enjoy the wholesome ones (and a little of the NOT MORALLY WRONG NSFW (aka, no incest, or underage, etc) ones as well. I'm an adult). On the other hand, JAIL FOR A THOUSAND YEARS FOR THOSE QUESTIONABLE ONES. If you promote those kinds of things...WTF is wrong with you? Get help!

Hi @impossiblefangirl0632! I really don't smile that much (chalk it up to my spicy memories that being happy = disaster the day after) BUT the one thing that never fails to make me smile are dogs. I LOVE THEM for being so pure and clueless and I wish to own 20 corgis and a husky 😭🐶❤️

For the 3 Things ask: 1, 18, 31
I'm well-rested and ready to go, @emberkyrlee!
#1 - 3 things you wish for:
Success in any endeavor - because it'll cover both the fame and money aspect;
Peace of mind - not just for myself, but also for others; and
The ability to become a polyglot - I'm invested in learning cultures and languages and just being able to order food like the locals...what a dream!
#18 - 3 dream jobs you’ve had in your childhood:
Doctor, Artist (!!!), and Writer. I would say I only fulfilled two of those childhood dream jobs. If I didn't have a fear of blood, I would have also gone into medicine...
#31 - 3 types of flowers you love the most:
Sunflowers, Bougainvilleas, and Gumamelas (our local name for the Hibiscus). I've never received flowers as gifts and am unfortunately allergic to pollen, but I still like seeing pretty ones!

13 and 24 for weird writing prompt please!
#13: What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy?
Would you believe me if I said I find nothing incredibly difficult or easy when writing? 😂 To be fair, most of what I write is based on my own experiences, so there is no difficulty when they're my emotions of the memory at that time. A subject matter only becomes incredibly frustrating when it's a) something I have never encountered or experienced, or b) an icky subject matter (like gore, macabre, etc). When that happens, I supplement with a lot of good, hard research.
It comes with downsides though (it cuts a bit of that creative juice) but references help me tackle such topics.
--
#24: How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?
I'm HELLA EXTRA. Let me give you a little bit of my writing background: I started writing stories around my freshman year of high school. My style then was free-flow, I wrote without any guides and would write about so many different topics and fandoms that interested me. I recall I even tried making a "fan" version of Fatal Frame - which was a big JP horror game at that time with me and my friends (plus my crushes) as the characters. It was fun.
There's a downside to it though - because I had varied interests and could not keep my mind on a single topic, I never finished any WIPs, save for ONE.
This style continued on until about 2016/2017 when I was writing a Star Vs The Forces of Evil fanfic (and a few good personal fiction WIPs). In the end, they all got stuck in limbo when I stopped writing in 2018 due to work and other reasons.
Enter January 2022 when Encanto (and Bruno!) came into my life. When I felt that itch to write again, I wanted to make sure I would finish something. So I started by making a character sheet, then from that character sheet, I created an initial plotline.
That initial plotline eventually became the first fanfic that I shared with the world: "What We Don't See".
I do enjoy both processes. It depends on the days. Now as I have officially finished writing the main fic (just editing them now), I'm currently working on another long WIP. I employ the outline method for this, but if I'm writing one-shots or shorter stories, I use free-flow. In fact, to show how extra I am, with my second story, I made a Spotify playlist...because it was inspired by a song.
Another effect of my extra-ness, my writings are meta. They're ALL connected 😉 I may have an outline, but my brain just wires the scenes differently still!
