Porto Timoni is the name of a double beach near Afionas village on the west coast of Corfu island. It is a scenic place and deserves to be classified as sightseeing, both natural and historical because in antiquity was a harbour and had a fortress built there.

travel bucket list

There are so many places I want to visit. I actually keep a note of the list of those places in my cellphone. Mostly, they are open nature places, because I love nature and beautiful scenery. Usually I saw those places on instagram and then I travel virtually via google maps, and if I really like what I see, that place goes to my list. In this post I want to go over the list quickly and add a short description or reasons why I want to go to those places.

the first one is Huser Plateau in Turkey. I found this place from a BTS stan account on twitter. It was a video of some people swinging by the cliff and looking over to the sea of clouds. Literally, they are above the clouds on top of the mountain. I was so blown away by the beauty of it, and I looove high places so that place easily went into my list. And while we are in Turkey, of course we can not miss going to Cappadocia to see hot air balloons over the mountains.

The second on the list being Petra, Jordan. This place is straight from fantasy. I bet this is where people got the inspiration to create the mythical creature of dwarfs. Like, how the hell those ancient people carve a palace out from a rock cliff?? And with great details too?? I was so speechless when I learned about Petra back when I was a kid. But I heard it is a long and hard trekking to reach the place. I don’t know if I could muster up the courage and actually go there.

Next on the list are Italy, Italy, Italy, Italy, and Italy. Seriously, this country is sooooo beautiful. The places I have in my list are South Tyrol, Amalfi, Cala Marilou, the crystal clear Lago di Braies, and the magnificent Dolomites. I have seen so many traveler coming to Lago di Braies and Dolomites on instagram but I still can’t get enough of their photos or videos. Those places are soooo unreal. And the other places too, oh God, why did you make Italy that gorgeous?? (crying emoji) (crying emoji)

And then there is Starsbourg in France, Sarajevo, Coron in Palawan, Shirakawa-go during winter in Japan, Maldives the paradise on earth, Lovatnet in Norway, Ko Nang Yuan and Phi-Phi Island in Thailand, and then Afionas, Porto Timoni, Corfu in Greece, and the last but certainly not least, Lake Ohau in New Zealand (and basically all of New Zealand is goal tbh). This list could go on and on and on but of course I wouldn’t want to ramble too much on this post.

But honestly, with the world within a situation like this (uhm, corona, I’m talking about you), and MY situation of being jobless, I don’t dare to dream that high and I actually have started to let go of this travel bucket list. These days, the place I want to go is as simple as the nearest cute cafe, where I can enjoy my favorite pasta and admire the interior. Hope better days will come soon and we all can be where we would like to be.
