tarn honestly deserved the redemption arc, love, care and understanding that megatron got. megatron being directly responsible for his creation, and then megatron getting a happy found family, where as tarn was seen/written as the ultimate and irredeemable 'threat' to megatron's found family/peace and healing doesn't sit right with me. like, megatron MADE tarn. and i know he's a villain, duh, i get that. but his writing just didn't sit well with me.

like tarn and imo starscream both deserved to be treated better by the narrative because they were so similar wrt to how megatron treated them, and how that treatment impacted them.

I have so many, but the era between afja and tba, or just both have me so like head over heels! like you ever look at someones so pretty and it makes you so frustrated. he also looked good with a lil bit of tummy when he started to get beefy

also think this is like prime vocals. like man put so much shit into his live performances

but load/reload always has me giggling so fucking hard. and his voice is pretty here too. also think he really pulled off short hair in the late 90s just before he grew it out a little in 98/99.

but James now has me giggling so hard like I just wanna give him a smooch. like I need to give that many a kiss and tell him he's perfect

Hi again!! I'm the Poets and Veils asker and you don't have to respond to this, but I just wanted to say that I read the tags on your response and I'm really sorry someone you cared about made you feel that way about a character you imprinted on like TFP Starscream. Maybe this is tmi but I know exactly how you feel- I once shared one of my favorite films with my abuser and they completely adopted and obsessed over one of the characters from it, even temporarily changing their name to match the characters'. For YEARS I could not look at that film without thinking about them and it took a lot of time and healing before I was able to watch it again and actually find some enjoyment in it. Anyways sorry for rambling but I hope time brings the same healing for you and that better people treat you better in turn. ❤️

Thank you for this, and it makes me really happy that someone understands. It's hard, and I'm so sorry that happened to you. Honestly, that sounds awful and in a strange was, violating?? That had to be extremely hard and difficult and I'm hoping you're able to find healing.

For me, even tho that person certainly wasn't my abuser, they were someone i considered a friend, and someone i'd talk to from time to time who made me feel happy because i got to discuss how much I loved starscream with them. And they IMO were and still are one of the most well known starscream fans in the tumblr fandom so i saw them everywhere. and it was just nice to be able to have a dialogue with someone who felt the same way about starscream. so it was really good to feel validated in my opinions with someone i felt able to discuss with (because i'd constantly be harassed otherwise)...only for that to not be true at all. idjajfd;afja It's just we really connected with starscream and it was so difficult to actually like TFP starscream or want to create any content with certain ships with him (like predastar) because of that.

I'm sorry for rambling and your message means a lot to me. I hope things are going better for you as well, thank you so much for sending this. I haven't written a ton of tfp megastar lately but I plan to.

Like I said, the ship is so important to me when I approach it from an aspect of post war healing and redemption. As an abuse victim myself, it's very easy for me to see myself both in megatron and starscream, especially megatron given he was a victim of abuse and slavery, and slavery is something that is recent in my family history. and i just want to see them heal after the war and just, idk grow together and be able to see each other in another light. i guess i feel it healing for me, when the abuse and violence are addressed but it's something that just doesn't happen anymore and they're actually able to move forward and be happy and healed together.

i will def try getting into the groove of tfp megastar and starscream
