Holy fuck it's the Mistah Rayman the Legend woah
He's so totally fun to draw and I can't wait to see if he's going to just be a major red herring and be the sweetest lil' guy ever, the most dastardly guy that's 100% going to shoot someone in the face in existence, is just being threatened into submission by Eden, is being puppeteered/brainwashed by something or other, WHATEVA it's going to be so cool anyway cuz it's THE RAYMAN

i feel you in every way man the sh*v plot is just bad, the tomsh*v has been contrite just like you said, i just don’t see a way out of this that doesn’t feel like a soap opera? and i’m not really a sh*v fan but i can’t imagine anyone who likes her feeling okay with her being pregnant because she canonically sees it as like, a violation. especially after what tom did to her… it feels exceptionally cruel to her character to go down this road. and this is probably just whiny but i don’t see them resolving it in a way that’s satisfying in six more episodes.
100%. not only is the pregnancy a disservice to her character arc thus far, it feels insulting as an audience member. in a show that typically holds nuance and subversion as key, this choice feels simultaneously heavy-handed and cliche. overall, the scenes hinting towards hope for tomsh*v reconciling have felt both hollow and corny to me—hoping i'm picking up on some intention here and that jesse is trying to throw us off his scent for what's to come in the back-half of the season.
there's still so much unresolved between tomsh*v and i can't imagine they'd suddenly want to run off into the sunset together after six days, but choosing to work towards a reconciliation despite their mutual dissatisfaction for the sake of a child is now a possibility. a possibility that feels very un-succession, very soap opera b-plot, and very contradictory to the narrative of seasons past.
if jesse handles the storyline in a fashion where the baby doesn't become a plot device for reuniting a miserable couple, and instead allows SHIV to make a decision on her own terms, i'm open. ideal scenario would be shiv and tom proceeding with the divorce despite the child because they know it won't change anything, or shiv ending the pregnancy. we'll see.
