Agni Dasein , is a Russian-Austrian contemporary artist, who lives and works in Vienna. She works primarily in painting, however she is also active in sculpture, new media art and performance. Recurring themes in her art are human rights, feminism, social relationships, sexuality. Her first notable solo exhibition was in the gallery of the Graz Artists’’Association, Austria, in 2013. In 2014, she took part in Cross Art Festival at the largest private contemporary art museum in Saint Petersburg, ERARTA. I would like to tell today about the feminist queer artist @agnidasein Born to be a woman, Agni Dasein did not immediately realize her destiny, the message she carries into this world. Agni began to create her art back in 2007, living in Russia, responding and reflecting with whole spectrum of feelings in colors on canvas. There were joy, fear, lust, happiness, spirituality and experiences of everything that has happened to her in society. The sincerity that had already begun to frighten people from a patriarchal society shocked them only in denial and not in acceptance. Then there was nothing left to do but surrender to art, a stream of consciousness and energy coming out of it for the good of help and love. It is very interesting to compare the present and the past oneself. As you already know, at the moment I have chosen a new country to live in and I am observing a change in myself and my mentality. Having spent my entire childhood and youth in Russia, my first trip (by the way, it was my first personal exhibition) abroad was at the age of 25. Now I am here again. Feeling all the love of my family and encountering from day to day with the urban environment of Russian washed media, people who have become accustomed to their fate and patriotically support a handful of the ruling elite🙃😤👏🏿 I become rebel again!
