i'm still really sore about shin-yu's goddess comment and my wish for the second half is that hong-jo gets more self-assured and leans into being a witch... cause i just absolutely love the scenes when she casts spells and burns the papers and how they are filmed. loved the ending of episode 2 or the spell in episode 3 or when shin-yu realized he drank the love potion.

also, look at her. so handsome and pretty. i fall in love with her everytime.

also, skipping around, being giddy when your crush writes you, or being annoyed some dude is pestering you and claiming you hexed him is not immature, it's human.

from the end of ep 1 onwards, shin-yu pressured her from one thing into another: take the box, open the box, show me book, give me a spell, give it to me now, that was the wrong spell, fix the mistake, it's all your fault, take responsibility, you swayed me and made me waver...the audacity of this dude, for real. he was real mean to her too. and through it all she internalized that it's her fault and still tried to help him. should have kicked him to the curb.

she's far from perfect and i'm plenty annoyed with her and some decisions. i just wish hong-jo's faults and missteps would be treated with the same indulgence as shin-yu's are.

i've come to the conclusion that my accent is too casual for my own name because every time i ever tell a service worker my name for an order, or say my name over the phone while booking something, it gets hilariously misspelled in increasingly strange ways. as in, my real name IS a name (albeit a little uncommon) but what everyone comes up with is decidedly Not A Real Name. sometimes random words, random objects, or just plain random smashes of letters. highly amusing and extremely baffling what they come up with

i think i just don't enunciate the first letter of my own name enough. and when i spell it over the phone, my accent causes people to not realize which vowel i said next. because they always get the last 3 letters correct, it's just the first part that is always changing

One of the things that hurts Khare the most isn't so much the eyes and teeth growing in her flesh but rather her memory issues, how easily she forgets things and struggles with the most basic tasks. Her IQ wasn't impressive before getting experimented on but she lived independently and picked up a range of skills from doing so along with working many odd jobs back in Hull. It's immensely frustrating - and upsetting - to her when it takes so long to learn what should be a simple thing.

I just got to the part where Olruggio made the hokka stones (warming stones, or however that gets translated into EN) for the girls and Qifrey and I love him ♡♡♡ I knew I would, and already did from Kitchen, but yeah, he’s my fave ♡ He cares about them so much, and that little victory sign and “yay” when Agatto is mad at hers lulling her to sleep earlier than she wanted to the night before her test? Adorable.

I had Victor start in immediately with the magic, using Repairio on one of the flower arrangements in the front window to see what it did to the plants -- it DID increase their quality, but it did NOT do anything about their level of freshness that I could see (that is, it made the whole thing a better bunch of flowers, but it did not do anything about how wilted it was). Good to know, I suppose! I also had him catch the stink bugs that had started congregating outside the front windows -- can't have THOSE annoying customers! And you never know when you might need them for herbalism...

-->Anyway -- with that sorted, let's go over everyone's store jobs:

Smiler got banished to the dock to fish for a good chunk of the day (even when it started snowing -- it was only a little bit and not for long!), to help add some fish to the fish freezer I'd added earlier. They caught a cichlid, an angelfish, a couple of tunas, a tilapia, and a perch, which is not a bad haul! And I figured out which option on the fish freezer lets you mass-store fish – though I actually can't recall the exact label at this point in time. ^^; Something like "fresh ingredients!" Also lets you mass-transfer meat and eggs, which is nice. :)

Alice, naturally, got put on canning duty -- specifically, oversize conserve duty! I had her use up a bunch of the oversized produce in her inventory making jars of mushroom, aubergine, lettuce, pumpkin, and watermelon conserve to put on the shelves next to the canned green beans, canned green peas, and bottles of dried sage. It felt like the most appropriate place for them! Don't worry, though, she got a few breaks -- mostly because the werewolf instincts demanded she go outside for a bit and let out a Somber Howl to keep the Fury low. Gotta keep that inner beast satisfied!

And Victor was just all over the place, doing every job the other two couldn't -- making more boxes and bottles of dried sage to fill in that area; making more loaves of banana bread to fill out the bakery section; brewing up some more perfume in Inspiring scents for that endcap; and of course hitting everything he could with Copypasto to fill in gaps on the shelves. Seriously, that spell is the most useful thing on the PLANET -- it is so OP and I never want that to change. XD Copy every freaking jar of preserves you can, Victor! I just wish you could copy the mod-added stuff too!

Listen. If you had told me in August I would be hyperfocused on Assassin's Creed, Daredevil, CoD, and DBH by January, I would have shoved you.
