7 - [The Bunch] What is their favourite movie, or a movie they would enjoy?

Elanor: Probably an epic fantasy, or something from the 80s. Labyrinth is the first that comes to mind, but she'd be a hardcore fan of The Lord of the Rings as well. Her favorite character would be Aragorn and she would totally wear a necklace with the one ring unironically.

Kerry: Whatever makes him laugh and have a good time. Airplane or one of The Naked Gun movies would be good candidates. But also a "romantic flick with a twist" would do (catch him crying and fangirling @ Keanu Reeves in The Lake House). Also, Julia Roberts is totally a fave!

Ankh: Now, this you won't expect, but in the modern days AU I've written in my brain she's a huge fan of Ducktales. Like, she knows the lines and every episode by heart. She's obsessed with the old and the new series, but also with the Disney ducks in general, so much that she has a lot of first editions and multiple sketches signed by Don Rosa scattered around her house. Magica De Spell is her favorite villain, hands down. Movie wise, I'd say it's either Fantasia or Robin Hood. She's not a Disney adult even if she loves their brand of animation, but these are the movies she enjoys the most. "The snake speaks!! Lmao"

Len: Army of Darkness and Planet Terror are her favorite movies of all time. She's a sucker for a grotesque slasher with some comedy in it, she knows her tropes and when a movie has "horror" and "Bruce Campbell" in the mix she's sold instantly. The less quality FX the better!

Oh, Bonbon is a gentleman! He would wait until she wakes up and then bark insistently until she fetches him some carrots.

He's not one that flusters easily, mind you, but he's very impressionable when it comes to his crushes doing anything. Ask Fenris to point at a rock, he would sing the praises of how valiantly he raised his finger and think about it fondly for a week straight.

Chayanne — Ive decided that every single egg is a dragonborn for the sake of simplicity, so that just brings me to figuring out class and subclass for each of them. I originally was thinking a simple fighter for Chayanne, but then, upon remembering what was quite literally an oath to protect everyone, decided he'd make a rather good paladin, particularly oath of devotion. he's devoted to keeping everybody safe, no matter the cost. if I were to give him a breath weapon, it'd be fire. he's a dragonborn paladin (devotion)!

Tallulah — Tallulah was always going to be a bard, are you kidding me? from there, looking through all the bard subclasses, I figured lore suited her best. she collects info! she gave qwil that book full of info about marigolds, she asks questions so she can know more about the world. yeah. she's a smart girl. dragonborn bard (lore).

Dapper — this is THE artificer. this autistic fuck (/affectionate bc me too buddy, me too) loves everything machinery, and he's fuckin good at it, too. considering his additional love for collecting animals, I've decided to make him a battle smith so he can have a steel defender. he would take very good care of it. I considered armorer due to the unique sets of armor I've seen him wear, but battle smith suited him just a tad better. he's a dragonborn artificer (battle smith).

Ramón — Ramón is also THE artificer! they are artificer pals. while Dapper focuses more on combat-ready mechanics, Ramon's been doing a lot of work on his elevator. also, bombs! fuck, he and qfit have so many bombs, they're practically their first line of defense. therefore, artillerist. he's good at throwing shit across the battlefield, staying stationary and hunkered down. dragonborn artificer (artillerist).

Leonarda — Leo was a little difficult. from the beginning, I knew I wanted her to be a primarily martial class, but I didn't want to leave her without any magic, either. so I figured a monk could be fitting due to their innate ki. considering. you know. dragon. I just had to give her ascendant dragon. dragonborn monk (ascendant dragon).

Bobby — oh yeah, this boy's a fighter alright. I considered barbarian for his tendency to sometimes throw tantrums, but it just wasn't right for him. I definitely considered gunslinger, but he's not particularly known for his guns, and I was eventually led to banneret, aka the purple dragon knights. he's definitely one of the braver kids, and I think his bold deeds could definitely inspire those around him. Bobby is a dragonborn fighter (banneret).

Richarlyson — he was kind of difficult! Richarlyson has picked up a number of skills from all six of his dads, making him fairly versatile and all-around skilled. I was, however, leaning a more martial class, and looked to monk first. none of the subclasses felt right, so I went bard due to their jack of all trades thing. wasn't right, so I thought about ranger, and that seemed like it could work due to their wide range of specialization. looking through subclasses, I picked monster slayer out of the bunch. just about all of his dads are terrorized by cucurucho in one way or another. he's practically got a sixth sense for the fucker now. Richarlyson's a dragonborn ranger (monster slayer).

Tilín — that's a rogue. yeah. that's a rogue. qQ himself taught them all about lying to other people to get what you want, and you're gonna tell me that's not a fucking rogue? right. rogue has a ton of interesting subclasses, but I felt like soulknife was a really interesting pick for her. soulknife rogues focus on the manipulation of the mind, fucking with a person's head to change their perception or easily slip by them. felt like they could use a little bit of magic, too, so he's got the psionic abilities that come with it. this is a dragonborn rogue (soulknife).

Juanaflippa — considered fighter gunslinger, but this is also a rogue! not a particularly magical one, though. Juanaflippa never really had much, always too busy shooting guns and coping with her parents' numerous divorces. HOWEVER, when you consider the whole necromancy element of her character (died, came back, fucking died again) on top of all the headcanons of her haunting the island, she's a pretty fun phantom. she's got an innate connection to death and the undead, and she knows what's dead when she sees it. I debated scout, but phantom was too cool to pass up. dragonborn rogue (phantom) for her.

Trump — I don't know shit about trump, but I like to think that if he survived longer, he would've taken after the crazy science aspect of both his dads, giving it a magical twist and going wizard. figured either evocation or abjuration would be good subclasses for him. decided on abjuration because damn, that's what this kid needed. dragonborn wizard (abjuration).

So far we've seen 4 departments and groups that correlate to eachother

Department of Convival condition Observation- Chayanne, Leonarda, Ramon, Dapper, Bobby, Tílin, Trump ,and JuanaFlippa aka the original eggs to the "first" residents of the island (I put it in quotation because we don't even know if their actually the first residents due to the buildings that were there when the qsmp first started)

Department of Substance Monitoring- Tallulah, Pomme, and ????(who we think is Egg A1/Hope)

Department of Permanence Surveillance- Sunny, Pepito, Empanada aka the eggs from egg island

Department of system analysis: Richarlyson and another egg (that's most likely gonna be given to the new residents that will be there when the server opens again)

Department of Convival condition Observation is most likely conditioning and observing the eggs, residents or both. Convival means friendly or agreeble so most like to make them like that.

Department of Substance Monitoring to me feels like drug testing on the eggs in their custody maybe even something like a pharmaceutical company.

Department of Permanence Surveillance something like permanent surveillance of the eggs, residents and the outside world. The watcher in most clips we've seen him has been around screens that are most likely cameras and surveillance that are everywhere on egg island.

Department of system analysis from what is stated by the name it analyzes the system of the Federation or something else. All the eggs from that Department icons were glitching and from what we can tell from Richarlyson seem to know how to get around only being online with their main parents/Residents. It also seems like Richas came earlier than the other eggs from their other egg from the same group.

Also Cellbit(issued), Bagi(failed), Mouse(rejected), Jaiden(failed), Arin(Obsoluted), ElQuackity(Obsoluted), Etoiles(Rejected), Baghera(issued) was the poster hanged up on the wall in the beginning, which from what I can tell that their all federation experiments mostly failed ones. Which I expect from most of them but Mouse? I don't think I know her lore well so I'm quite suprised and curious about.

Pls tell me if you know anything or theories. I'm genuinely curious about what's going on.

Sorry for the long wait on answering this ask! I've got some art the eggs here:

Bobby is Twigpaw, his warrior name would have been something like Twigstep or Twigskip.

Chayanne is Skullpaw, which is already an unusual name in itself, but his warrior name would be Skullmask, like his father Missa who is Silvermask.

Dapper is Nightpaw, his warrior name would be something like Nightbreeze. He would have a very elegant-sounding name.

Pomme is Applepaw, her warrior name would be something like Applebranch or Appleleaf, something that really just screams nature-loving and beautiful.

Tallulah is Sparrowpaw, her warrior name would be Sparrowsong. In my past AUs Wilbur has always had the name Swansong, since she is his little girl it's just natural that I named them both after birdsong.

Leonarda is Ripplepaw, I know in a past comic Dapper says her warrior name is "Ripplecloud", but it would actually turn out to be something like Ripplepool or Ripplewing.

Richarlyson doesn't have a name yet. I was thinking something like Specklepaw or Spottedpaw. 'Cuz he's got spots.

Modern Qsmp (pt2)

- Most athletic student: Chayanne (followed by Bobby)

- Most academically smart student: Dapper (followed by Ramon)

- Because of the “My partners ditch me club” TIlin, Trump, and Ramon knew each other since babies and go on play dates when their parents meetup

- Bobby definalty starts food fights

-Leonarda’s family is the richest (followed by Bobby and RIcharlyson’s) - Ramon’s have the most financial issues (followed by Tilin’s)

-Quakity is pretty hands off when it comes to raising Tilin due to work and the emotional distress for his partner leaving, so their relationship is pretty strain for the rest of Tilin’s early childhood

-Because of it Tilin spends most of his time at Bobby and Richarlyson’s place

-Luckily their relationship has imporved during later in Tilin’s childhood

- the reason why Spreen left is because he realizes that being a parent is something he isn't cut out for and he didn't knew how to handle it

- he did eventually returned to file a proper divorce but not without paying years of child support

-the two are now in neutral terms Fit understood Spreen’s reason but still wishes that he handles it properly

- its the same for Ramon but in his childhood he resented Spreen for leaving with no reason but as he grows up he kinda forgets sometimes that he used to have another parent, so he ends up not caring

-Cucurucho’s past legal parent (aka Missa’s ex spouse) is very abusive to them growing up

- When Missa was in the picture he and Cucurucho have a very sweet relationship he was basically the only good thing they have during their childhood, when their legal parent divorce him, Missa wanted to take full custody of Cucurucho but failed

- They misses him dearly

-Luckily Cucurucho got out the situation by Jaiden who works as a lawyer because of it the two grew very close almost like siblings

-Jaiden would have probably taken them in like bobby if it wasnt for the fact that Cucurucho would be starting colleage out of city

- but they live closely to one another and would come over to have tea time with Jaiden, they also ends up becoming Bobby’s godparent

-Dapper, Ramon, and Bobby defiantly are the main troublemakers of the class

-the school that all of the eggs go is pretty small so its not really unusal for them to have low numbered students in each class

-Quasidilla city is a city known for its diverse ethnical population

- Juana and Tilin defiantly goes shopping and other feminine things together

- Technically Bobby sees Jaiden and Roier as more parental than Cellbit he dosent hate him but does see him more as an uncle so he calls him Uncle Cell

-Chayanne calls Phil “Papa Phil” - Sbi is technically canon but its a bit split;

- Tommy is at college majoring in film and isnt at home most of the time, his basically the fun uncle that only comes during holiday or special occassion

- while Techno is Phil’s younger step brother who he grew up together even helping Phil take care of Wilbur and Tommy when his wife died via childbirth until he passed away

Am I saying this because this song is literally just “My daddy’s got a gun” repeated and Foolish loves his gun? Literally, none of the rest of the song is relevant.

Wrecking Ball: Slime (again)

Slime in his murder arc was very wreckless, poor thing. Pay attention to lines such as “You gotta wanna break the hearts of all those pretty porcelain dolls” (eggs) and “I make a fist and not a plan.” But also the ending being sweet and soft feels like JuanaFlippa resting a hand on his shoulder or something.

Characters of Erscoga: Core Cast

The Core Cast is comprised of important figures that are part of the founding group of Erscoga and who play prominent roles in Erscoga story docs regardless of when the document was written. Most of these characters have origins in Ask Erik!

Dukermin: One of the two queens of Erscoga. Lives in a hidden underground house in Verdanaville, on Termata with her dog and—for the time being, anyway—Severus Snape.

Shadow Dog: Dukermin's dog. Likes to run away through the invisible fence. Can shift its size to be very small or 50 ft. tall (despite the fact that its legs would break at that size).

Nalitie: The other queen of Erscoga. Lives in Verdanaville with Willy Wonka, Christine, Steven, Dave, and four children. Adoptive mother of Lisa and Leonarda.

Christine: Varrasso, née Daae. Was relocated out of the ending of Love Never Dies into Nalitie's household in Ask Erik!, where she married Steven. She's been a part of Nalitie's household since. Works at the Spectre Opera House and Concert Hall. Mother of Tobias "Bee" Varrasso and Tobias "ET" Varrasso.

Steven: Nalitie's (brother?) and Christine's husband. Brother of the Overmother, uncle to her children Malvolia and Evangeline. Father to the Tobiases. Works at Green Circle Labs.

Willy Wonka: Husband of Nalitie, adoptive father of Lisanarda. Candy man.

Dave: random British guy who lives in Nalitie's house for some reason. Was an incidental character generated by the VR room from an existing person, who Nalitie found and adopted into the household.

Erscoga Tobias: AKA "ET" or "Toby." Infant, born in Erscoga to Christine and Steven.

Ask Erik! Tobias: AKA "Bee" or "T." Toddler, born in Ask Erik! to Christine and Steven in a deleted timeline because Ask Erik!'s timelines are a mess; rescued from The Void by Nalitie and Dukermin. Two years older than their brother; technically the same person as ET.

Lisa and Leonarda: When together, referred to as "Lisanarda" for short. Originally child characters that Sam created from an abandoned plot point; rescued from The Void by Nalitie and Dukermin. Named by Dukermin. Twins, also infants.

Green Circle Labs (GCL): a booming Interdimensional Research company, with secondary uses as a hospital. Significant characters include Rosetta's team of interdimensional explorers (Magnolia, Melody, Joshua, Jonathan, and Lian) and Steven's team of researchers (Jessica, Krisna, Briesha, and Hannah). Home to the main Interdimensional Portal into and out of Erscoga.

TreeGrass Institutes (TG): previously a world-renowned postsecondary school and research facility, focusing on the Author/Character system, the nature of Authorial powers, and training responsible interdimensional citizens in conjunction with GCL's interdimensional travel programs. Significant characters include Kaytee, the institution's founder, Kathrine, and Samara.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Leonardo's Notes on Cusine? Because it's pure gold content!

Of approximately 120 journals of da Vinci, only 28 survived to our modern times. Let me tell you, all of them are wonderful.

Leonardo's step-dad was a pastry chef, so da Vinci was present in the kitchen from a very young age.

Let's start with his most significant kitchen inventions - the manual garlic press (which remains the same to this day) and (allegedly) a pasta maker. Like during the renaissance, Italians ate pasta (they still do), but it didn't look like modern pasta. It was heavier and lumpier, but Leonardo wanted to turn it into something else. Like edible ropes, aka Spago mangiabile.

This dude (allegedly) came up with spaghetti. The funny fact is that Italians, being their conservative selves, initially were not very fond of spaghetti. French king Francis was a fan of this idea. He even wanted to make it France's national dish, but Leonardo refused. 

Thank heavens for that! Can you imagine an alternative timeline where spaghetti is a signature dish of FRANCE?!

Leonardo also invented a napkin because he found it gross (and outdated) that the guests would wipe their hands with rabbit skins. 

On the same note, he would also trash-talk his patron, Lodovico Sforza, for wiping his knife in on the clothes of his table neighbor. 

Though, according to the Florentine ambassador to Milan, initially, people had no idea how to use a napkin. They would blow their noses into it, wrap food to hide in their pockets, and play by throwing them at other guests. We are talking about nobility now, not a middle school cafeteria.

Leonardo was really upset and disappointed when he saw this and never offered a napkin to the guests ever again.

And don't get me started on a salad bowl!

I'm 70% sure that it made Leonardo cry.

He made a bunch of kitchen appliances and machine models. Some of them were thought to be torture machine projects by modern scholars. It turned out to be just a meat grinder. 

Of all that is sweet in the world (and available to Leonardo), he liked marzipan the most. He liked it not exactly because it was tasty, but because he could use it to biuld things. And build he did.

Leonardo adored making tiny sculptures and models from marzipan. Including war machine models. He was also very displeased when other people (mostly his patron - Sforza) ate them. 

In his journal, Notes on Cuisine, Leonardo wrote: “I have observed with pain, that my signor Ludovico and his court gobble up all the sculptures I give them, right to the last morsel, and now I am determined to find other means that do not taste as good, so that my works may survive.” 

Food was one of Leonardo's fixations. He spent most of his time dedicated to painting The Last Supper, deciding which dishes Jesus and the Apostles would eat. He wanted to include his past experience and new cooking ideas in the fresco. You probably know that in The Last Supper, Jesus and his students are sitting on one side of a very long table. Leonardo originally used this idea when he was planning a wedding party of a Duke of Milan and sat all guests on only one side of the table. 

Leonardo da Vinci also owned a copy of De honesta voluptate et valetudine, the first printed cookbook in his private collection. This book consisted of recipes by the biggest celebrity chef in Italia. Martino da Como or Maestro Martino was a Gordon Ramsay of his times and the Vatican's cook.

Speaking of Gordon Ramsay! Leonardo did the Kitchen Nightmares metamorphosis 500 years before the Fox network. Young Leonarda was working in a tavern Three Snails. Initially, he was a waiter, but after the majority of the kitchen staff died in a food poisoning accident, he got promoted to chef. Now da Vinci absolutely HATED the unorganized porridge blop with meat that the tavern was serving. It was well-spiced but lacked decorum and nice serving. Leonardo created a new menu. From now on, the guests got smaller portions of different, well-prepared, and nice-looking foods. Unfortunately, the renaissance people weren't ready for the modern concept of a restaurant, and the Three Snails ended up just like any other restaurant after Kitchen Nightmares' metamorphosis - it got closed.

We cannot talk about Leonardo da Vinci and food without mentioning vegetarianism. Leonardo didn't write much about his personal life and taste, probably because he didn't find himself that interesting (ironic, isn't it?)

We do have some grocery shopping lists by Leonardo da Vinci, and even though they include meat, he did grocery shopping for his patrons too. Where did the vegetarian Leonardo come from? Well, he worked in the same court as Andrea Corsali. Corsali was an explorer in the court of Giuliano di Lorenzo de' Medici of Florence. In one of his letters he described the eating habits of Hindu followers in India like this:

"Alcuni gentili chiamati Guzzarati non si cibano dicosa alcuna che tenga sangue, ne fra essi loro consentono che si noccia adalcuna cosa animata, come it nostro Leonardo da Vinci."

In English:

"Certain infidels/foreigners called Gujaratis (Guzzarati) are so gentle that they do not feed on anything which has blood, nor will they allow anyone to hurt any living thing, like our Leonardo da Vinci."

Boy! That was a long infodump! I hope you enjoyed this little rant about Leonardo. It's not exactly AC, but as I have mentioned a few times - I'm a Leonardo da Vinci geek.

I want to share something really special that happened tonight that I believe is because of me reaching out and calling on my ancestors for awhile now.

I’m Mexican American & I’ve always been raised to believe my great-grandma Julieta was the first to immigrate here with her husband Timoteo. My great-grandparents were not open about their family history. I don’t know why, but either way, no one in my family knows about our history. We know we came from Mexico at some point. But that’s it.

I’ve always wanted to know more. Asking family always led to a dead end. Searches online were scarce and difficult to look through. Eventually I figured I’d just never know.

Recently though, I’ve been talking to my ancestors through meditation and ritual, asking them for guidance. Then tonight, I got the urge again to just look. See what I could find. Do some realllyyyy deep digging into my family.

And would you believe it... I found so, so much. My great-grandma was NOT the first to immigrate here in the family. Her grandparents were, aka my great, great, great grandparents. Asuncion & Leonarda. This was huge for me. It means my family has been in the States since sometime between 1890-1910.

But then, I found even more. The Catholic Church had the record of Leonarda’s baptism, and through that I found her father Felipe, and his father Procopio. He was the last person I was able to trace down but it was enough.

In a single night, my Mexican family history went from ~1940s, back to 1830s. I know where my family came from. Not just ‘Mexico’ but their state, their small town they grew up in. I can look up the church on google maps and see where my ancestors were baptized. I know my family has been in the States over 100 years now. I know where I can go visit my great great great grandparents graves.

I cried tonight, no lie. It makes me so emotional to think of all these people who I’ve just been reconnected to. I can’t describe what it means to have a named place where my family comes from. I thanked my ancestors for helping me find this because I truly don’t think I would’ve been able to without reaching out to them all this time. I have so much more I want to learn about them but for tonight this is enough.
