Prince's Gambit Erasmus
I wanted to give him some jewelry, inspired by "gift to favored servant from master" Roman archeology finds. Because I think Torveld would gift him things. Unfortunately, it was an major afterthought.
The outfit was inspired of art works from Moroccoan servants. I'm trying to figure out Patras. Right now, my major influences are North Arab African, medieval Spain, and Perisan.
I also wanted to remove his cuffs, but when I was reading the sections, I didn't see anything mention about them being on or off.

Thanks to @zumurruds for posting the animated video of what life in ancient Greece might look like. After watching that, I found that the same YouTube channel has a detailed description and narration of how people lived. Fascinating. Good thing we have fantasy for Damen's #hometown. But an excellent video.

Akielon and Veretian towns
sooo, does anyone have a map that includes towns like Tarasis and the other small towns mentioned in the captive Prince books? I can’t be the only one who keeps ending up in “wait, where are we again?” Territory

You know how the one song you skip over the album always manages to be fire...Well, I had a rather long train journey over the weekend and finally listened to this off the lion king (2019) live action soundtrack and MY GOODNESS THE DARKNESS IS DELICIOUS, my mind immediately went to Kastor !!!
The villain ALWAYS has a story...
Like take these lyrics:
The beat and transitions are soooooo good, i was shook.
Give it a listen and tell me if you don’t go to the Damen’s bastard brother and Jokaste!!!

It's a pastiche, Akielos heavily influenced by classical Greece, but much of Vere drawn from 1400s France. x
