Tickletober Day 12: Invisibility
Ft. Albedo x Aether
A/N: This one's probably a little too random, but that's okay, right? Also this was half-written while I was waiting for my mom to get her haircut huhu
Also, these are suppose to be drabbles, but this one got a little longer huhu
"Ah, traveler, it's good to see you."
Aether arched an eyebrow. "Traveler? Do you have any business with me, Chief Alchemist?"
Aether grinned when he saw a soft pink hue creeping around the shells of Albedo's ears. The alchemist cleared his throat and moved his hand to show a glass full to the rim with a transparent liquid.
"What?" Aether crossed his arms above his chest. "Do you have more experiments to do on me? I thought we do plenty of experiments by now."
The soft pink hue turned red and quickly spread across Albedo's cheeks. Aether giggled.
"Stop teasing me," Albedo said, sheepishly rubbing the tip of his nose. "This is not an experiment to find out about your peculiar constitution," he explained, carefully holding the glass in his hand. "This... will probably help you out in your adventures."
"How?"
"... It makes you invisible."
A moment of silence. Aether looked at the glass and then at Albedo's eyes. The glass and then his eyes again.
"Like... Completely invisible?" Albedo nodded. "For how long?"
"That's... Something that I have yet to discover, but I'd say for around fifteen to twenty minutes?"
Aether frowned, so this was the experiment that Albedo had had his nose stuck in all this time? Although Aether couldn't say that it was a bad experiment, at the end of the day, having a fifteen to twenty minute adventage on an enemy was, simply put, a wonder.
Aether hummed and he grabbed the glass from Albedo's hand, sniffing at it. The smell and transparency were not unlike that of water, Aether might even think that Albedo wanted to prank him, but he knew that his boyfriend was very serious when it came to alchemy.
"Any side effects?"
Albedo shook his head. "There shouldn't be any, in any case the only thing to worry about would be the duration of the potion. Maybe instead of fifteen minutes, it can be a few days?"
Risky, but having Albedo by his side, he knew he was going to be, one way or another, safe. So thinking about it one more time, he raised the glass to his lips and drank the liquid. Just like the color and smell, the taste was the same as water. He handed the glass back to Albedo and waited.
"How long- oh!" The first thing that disappeared was his feet. He felt weird and a little dizzy when he saw that, suddenly, there was nothing past his ankles.
Albedo looked at him intently and they both gasped as Aether's legs also disappeared. He fully trusted Albedo, but instinctively, he patted the place where his legs should be and sighed in relief feeling them there.
The next thing to go were his hands, his arms, his torso, and finally his head. A deathly silence fell over them, both holding their breath.
"... A... Aether?"
"I'm here! This is so weird! When my legs disappeared I couldn't see them, but now that I'm fully invisible, I can see my body just as normal! Can you see me?"
Albedo shook his head, "I cannot. So you say..." He grabbed his notebook and began scribbling, checking the clock on his desk once, "... That you couldn't see your body as you became invisible, but now you can see it?"
"Yes! You really can't see me?" Aether waved his invisible hand in front of Albedo and the alchemist shook his head again. "But wait, can I get through things?"
Albedo chuckled. "I think you can grab everything just perfectly."
Aether hummed and he grabbed the pen Albedo was holding. He was right, it felt just as it would feel some other day. Albedo took the pen back and scribbled on his notebook again.
"This is so interesting. I was expecting it to work, of course, but not so well. Do you feel any discomfort?"
"I don't."
"Good. Did you feel anything strange as you were gaining your invisibilihihity- hehey!" Albedo flinched when he felt a sudden poke to the side of his ribs. "What are you doing?" he asked looking to where he supposed Aether was.
Aether giggled, "I'm over here," he said, poking Albedo's other side. "Or maybe here?" He wiggled his fingers on the back of Albedo's neck. "Or right here!" He said, now clawing his fingers on Albedo's tummy.
Albedo squeaked and he tried to stop the invisible tickling, but goodness, how could he without seeing the offending hands?
"Oh, I think I like this experiment very much!"
"Stahahap! Thihihis is nohohot why I mahahade thihis fohohor!" Albedo giggled, doubling over and pressing the notebook to his chest when he felt an ambush of pokes to his ribs. "Dohohon't pohohoke me thehere!"
Aether giggled and Albedo squeaked when he felt his breathing right against his ear. "You must look so funny right now, Albedo! Laughing yourself silly when no one is here," he teased him and Albedo flushed heavily. "What's so funny, Albedo? Why are you laughing when no one is here?"
"Gohohoodness, stohohop! You're mahahaking me feheheel- ahahaha! Stahahap!"
"Making you feel what, hmm?" Aether asked as his hands latched to Albedo's lower sides and squeezed.
"Nehehervohohus- stohohop!" Albedo squirmed, finally letting the notebook fall so he could try to catch Aether's hands, but he just couldn't see him and Aether kept jumping from spot to spot, startling Albedo and making him feel more helpless than what he already was.
"You can't catch me? You're always so fast! What's going on?" He teased playfully, nibbling on the side of Albedo's neck.
The alchemist squeaked and he reached to the side, but was surprised to feel Aether's arms hugging him from the front, his own arms trapped by Aether's embrace.
Albedo gasped, "Don't!" He warned and immediately ducked his head down, chin pressed to his chest, trying to protect the mark on his neck.
Aether giggled, "Oh, you think you can hide it?" He playfully asked and Albedo giggled brightly when be suddenly felt Aether's fingers wiggling on the back of his neck, forcing his head back.
Aether's lips immediately latched to Albedo's mark and started nibbling at it.
"AHAHAHA! Hohohold uhuhup! I cahahahan't" He cackled, fighting his invisible boyfriend's embrace.
Aether simply hummed, making some embarrassing noises as if he was eating Albedo's sensitive skin and, in case the nibbling wasn't enough, Aether also started blowing raspberries on the soft skin and Albedo nearly lost it, his hands clutching what seemed to be Aether's sides and he wiggled his fingers.
Aether giggled, "Aha! Trying to tickle me back now, huh? That just won't do!" He said and without warning, he wrestled Albedo to the ground, his fingers immediately finding Albedo's ribs.
"GAHAHAHA! Nohoho! No plehehease!" Albedo squirmed like a little worm, looking hilarious to anyone who didn't know that Aether was on top of him, tickling his most sensitive spot.
The invisible tickled were driving Albedo up the wall. He could feel the hands tickling him, of course, but his mind was already so stimulated by the intense sensations that he just couldn't control his hands and try to push Aether's hands off his body.
"What's so funny, Albedo? Why are you laughing like that when no one is around?"
His blush spread across his whole face as he heard Aether's words. The teasing making him shy and silly, and he even sent a quick glance to the entrance of his camp to see if no one was watching the scene.
"I always forget how ticklish your ribs are, Albedo." The both knew that was a lie. "And I'm suddenly hungry, y'know?"
Albedo shrieked. "NOHO!" He said, desperately squirming under Aether, but the traveler simply chuckled and Albedo shrieked again when he saw Aether's head lowering to his-
"WAIT! Wahahahait! I cahahan seehehehe yohohou!"
Aether pouted, "aw, already? Oh well!"
"NO! N-NAHAHAHA!" Albedo howled with laughter, his head tilting back as he felt Aether's teeth playfully sinking into his clothed ribcage.
Tears of laughter clinged to his lashes and he weakly pushed at Aether's shoulders and head, but it was useless. If anything, he laughed even more when Aether started to make those silly noises as if he was eating him... again.
"I GIHIHIVE! I gihihive uhuhup!"
Aether giggled, stopping all at once and leaning his body against Albedo's, barely letting him room to catch his breath.
"I'm dihihiyihing," Albedo giggled, cleaning the tears off his cheeks. "That w-was unnecessahary."
"Hmm, I just wanted to check if this new discovery would actually help me out during a fight!" Aether said with a bright grin, pressing a quick kiss to Albedo's lips. "I think it would!"
Albedo chuckled and nodded, "Very well, I'll get you a few bottles ready for your next adventure."
"Hmm, my boyfriend alchemist is the best."
