Opinions differ over Jay Z's NFL acquisition as Kaepernick kicks

If anyone expected the drama surrounding Jay-Z’s deal with the NFL to calm down over the weekend, they were mistaken, as controversy and conversation continued to swirl. The situation grew even more intense late Friday when TMZ reported that Jay is looking to acquire a majority interest in an unspecified NFL team, which would add a whole other level to his deal with the league. However, Jay is an owner of Roc Nation Sports, an agency that represents athletes, so it was not immediately clear whether he would have to divest that interest in order to acquire an ownership stake in an NFL team; one unidentified source close to the rapper reportedly told TMZ that he wouldn’t: “Jay is not an NFL agent and does not take part in the operations of the NFL players in Roc Nation.” Jay gradually sold off his interest in the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets after Roc Nation Sports launched in 2008 to avoid such a conflict. When contacted, a rep for the rapper declined comment; reps for the NFL did not respond. However, Kaepernick and his friend and former teammate Eric Reid weighed in on the situation. They kissed on the dancefloor, he allegedly lifted up her skirt and sexually assaulted her (she says) he then led her out of the club "stumbling" to his crib a few blocks away (she says), he then holds her down and rapes her (she says). 》 》 She didn't seem intoxicated at all (he says), he invited her to the crib (he says), they messed around but never had intercourse (he says) a rape kit was done, a vaginal swab showed NO SEMEN or DNA of his, surveillance footage doesnt show her stumbling out being led away by him (like she claimed), surveillance footage also shows they were only in his apt. for 5 mins before heading back to the club (not that a rape can't happen in 5 mins, but it paints a very different picture than the one she is claiming). 》 》 Fast forward to 3 days ago, an all white, mostly female jury found #AlbertWilson guilty of rape. Albert just graduated college, and although this was his first offense (with doubt and evidence on his side), he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, lifetime probation and must register as a sex offender. She said that will be followed by lifetime post-release supervision and he must register as a sexual offender.
