In my rewrite Garroth is Levin’s bio dad, who then helps raise him with Aphmau, and Laurance is a father figure for Malachi.

Garnet is originally adopted by Aaron and Aphmau helps care for her, then when Aaron dies Aphmau adopts her and Garroth becomes a sort of father to her. Laurance is Lina’s father and Garroth steps up as a father figure to her too. And that’s not even MENTIONING everything Zoey did.

Basically what I’m getting at is that Aphmau has 2 metaphorical baby daddies, 1 actual baby daddy, and an overworked nanny that’s basically her wife.

MCD but Dante quite literally waited for Aphmau for fifteen years

When they return Aphmau goes to the spot she told Dante to wait and she is met with a grave

On his tombstone it had the usual stuff and then something like “he is still waiting for his sister to come home” and Aphmau breaks down

His cape is tied to the tombstone and she immediately takes it and holds it

She wears the cape for the remainder of the series

She blames herself for leaving her brother waiting

Dante stood in the same spot and waited for his sister to come home and like a loyal guard he didn’t let himself get distracted by anything not offers of food, blankets, or sanctuary he didn’t move and he died there

Alina is a middle name her first name is Dante named after her loyal uncle

Honestly the greatest tragedy for me from season 3 of mcd being canceled was not getting to see the rest of the shadow knight rebellion storyline.

Laurance, after seemingly resigning himself to his nature at the end of s2, is back swinging and with a whole group behind him. It only makes sense; he was Head Guard of Meteli after all.

Zenix has shakily settled himself into a role of right-hand man and has reigned himself in compared to when we last heard of him.

How did Zenix meet Laurance? Does he know who is? What he meant to the man who basically raised him? Does Laurance know what Zenix meant to his brother in arms?

Did Laurance ever wonder about Aphmau's unborn child? Did he ridicule himself for "pretending" to care after lashing out at her? Does he see the blazing fire and think of his beloved sister's hair?

What kind of Shadow Knights chose to stand behind them? What's their game plan in all this- To kill Shad? What happens after, if they can even do it? Have they even thought about it?

So many damn questions and we'll never know. Man 🐴

That line that Laurance said to Garroth in regards to Aaron’s death… like imagine how much guilt that must have made him feel.

Like imagine him taking care of Alina, the daughter of the man that got himself killed rescuing him, and questioning why he gets to have those moments with her and he doesn’t.

Why does he get to watch her first steps? Hear her first words? Be there for her when she cries? Make her laugh and smile?

He gets to take over the role of father to the girl whose biological father died saving him.

Like that must weigh on him so much.

Alright alright I should probably post this, sorry for a sudden disappearance! My phones been in repair and I only have my iPad to do all my socials and idk for me I just don’t like posting on my iPad it’s purely a me thing 😭…. Anyways! Then a major jump into Zoey and garroth with Child (zenith) and before you say “why does she have her dogs out 😭😭” WELLL ELVES WANT TO FEEL THE EARTH TO ABSORB THE NATURAL MAGICCC while they’re expecting :3, I’m gonna say some things about elves and their pregnancy!

Elves carry for about 10-11 months

They have cravings for magic induced fruits

Within the culture elves embroider on a blanket for their babies , not just for fun but for a spell that’s woven in the blanket for protection (this practice is now banned in Yggdrasil due to the law of using magicks )

Usually in Yggdrasil there’s a garden for expecting mothers, young children and their parents , and new borns and parents to soak in the nature magic’s . It relaxes them and it’s a need for children and new Borns to walk around the garden. Since Zoey is banished from Yggdrasil she’s kinda just walks around a neighbors garden , but garroth makes their own private garden with the help of Travis and Lucinda for magical plants!

i think that before jesson forced aaron into the series as more than his original side character, it was supposed to be laurance that absorbed shad’s relic. think about it: if the two main love interests, garroth and laurance, both absorbed the relics of irene’s pining lovers (shad and esmund) it would make sm sense. not to mention that in the series it’s mentioned that laurance is a strangely powerful shadow knight. and that the shadow lord wanted his body as a vessel. (?!?!?) this literally is a wound spilling the blood of the original plot all over the floor. i find it so obvious that this was the original plan and that the weird forcing of the aarmau agenda (most likely by jason) fucked it. when it comes to alina, i think that she was also originally planned to be laurance’s biological child, but that’s a whole other bouquet of thoughts.

The Malachi and Levin vs Alina and Lilith age gap is so funny

Like speaking as someone with a sibling that’s like a decade and a half younger, they must have the funniest relationship.

They’re fighting with a toddler over their mom, who came first, who can sit next to mom at dinner

I think levin would have no shame in beefing with an infant. They would make faces at each other, shove each other. Alina would bite him and he would smack her with a pillow

Aphmaus would definitely make them wear the same shirt until they got along

Happy Sibling Day!

Wow look at me, I actually planned ahead to make a piece for a specific day and finished it on time wowie.

Anyway have some sibling pairs bein’ cute!

Okay and since I suck at shutting up my thought processes behind the pieces!

Garroth and Zane: Hc that Zane is very smart but had some speech issues early on. Speech therapy helped a lot, to the point where he becomes almost absurdly eloquent as his reading quickly translates into his speech. The comic is set early on in this therapy, so he’s just starting to vocalize names, and he hasn’t quite grasped the -th sound yet lol.

Laurance and Cadenza: Okay I actually have two ideas for Laurance’s ginger phase that I can’t choose between.

Option 1: As Laurance got older he and Cadenza started getting confused for a couple by strangers, which got on both of their nerves. Laurance lost the draw for who had to change their hair color, but ends up really liking the orange as it makes him feel closer to Candenza

Option 2: Since Laurance and Hayden look more similar people start to assume Cadenza is just Laurance’s friend and not part of the family. It gets to the point where Cadenza wants to dye her hair brown to fit in with them, but knowing how much she loves her hair Laurance offers to dye his instead, so that they can be equally confusing.

Dimitri and Naoko: Dimitri was raised by Nicole for most of his childhood before her and Dante decide to try a coparenting situation. He’s hesitant about his new sister, but quickly warms up to her. All the parents are definitely recording it to embarrass him later lol.

Levin and Malachi + Lilith and Alina: I wanted to draw them all together, maybe in a joking rivalry kind of way, (child batch 1 vs child batch 2) but I settled for pictures of them on Aph’s walls.

ok so for those of you who don’t know, in my rewrite Alina is Laurance’s daughter instead of Aaron’s (and her name is actually Lina)

So I may have gotten myself obsessed with Minecraft Diaries again after many years. I’ve been reading through peoples complaints with the characters and their development and there are always 2 characters that I don’t often see people really talking about. Season 2 Levin and Malachi

After 15 years with their mother missing, you’re telling me that everything just went back to normal? (I don’t mean that Aphmau and her children need to have an unhealthy relationship, but just a couple bumps in the road to make it just a tad more realistic.)

Give me a Levin who feels pressure to be a Lord just like his mother, and the pressure only intensifies after Aphmau returns.

Give me a Malachi that is furious with Aphmau when she returns, yelling at her about how he thought that she was abandoning him just like his birth parents.

Give me a Levin who is suffering under the weight of the stress of being a Lord and give me Aphmau quietly supporting him, bringing him food and tea, making sure all his needs are met and ONLY offering help if he asks for it.

Give me a Malachi that is actually useful in season 2, and who has an actual role, perhaps as a diplomat, but something other than doing all the errands for Levin and then disappearing when the plot forgets about him.

Levin and Malachi had the best set up to be incredibly complex characters with large parts in the story, but they both ended up to be so disappointingly one-sided characters with practically no actual reason to be there.

Hey, would anyone be upset with me for changing Alina's name in Marigold?? It's forever away anyway, but I honestly feel like I should change it. The name was just there to keep aph and Aaron's "A"-name theme going, which is something Laurance and Aphria don't have. Though I can see Aphria chosing an L-name considering that from her perspective, Laurance is dead and gone. You know. To honor him. That might have been character Aphmau's intentions when naming Alina anyway, to honor her dead dad.

But anyway, yeah. That was it. If anyone has suggestions, just let me know. ♡

While I procrastinate drawing season one Katelyn’s design I wanted to doodle my fat nextgen babies Elliot Zvhal and Zenith Romeave ugh I love them so much I’ll say a lil stuff abt them

Zenith was 12 pounds he was a huge baby , Zoey demanded for Garroth to get her fairy Dust ( The best pain reliever)

Let me tell you that Laurance will get his happy ending because he has a huge ass family now and it takes so much in him and Aphmau to not adopt or have more kids Elliot is so loved by his sisters and two older brothers ( I might change the age gap between his sisters ) Cadenza especially loves Elliot he reminds her of Laurance so much. She spoils her nieces and nephews

Zianna oml, she loves her grandbabies so much let me tell ya. She is a free babysitter and when Vylad, Garroth, Zane, Kacey, Zoey, and Kiki go and pick up their kids and or Leona picks up the kids they are 2 pounds heavier. Gregory( Greg, Vylacey ) is the oldest Zeniths just a big baby..

Cadenza and laurance sobbed. Aphmau was just standing there with Elliot awkwardly

.. heh I need to do a master post of this but Jake is Zoey’s kid with Gabriel! He’s a canon character I just gave him a Design and name. I rewatched MCD and I LEGITIMATELY THOUGHT AS A KID THAT JAKE WAS DEAD like he died from the tree that Malachi absorbed, like I said I am making a master post most likely of my rewrite of that because personally I like it a lot. Yes Jake is dead but Zoey try’s to talk to Zentih about him as much as she can remember

Ill most likely do the others kids in some future post ( probably travlyns kid because I’ve kinda show yall him )
